A strange feeling came across Feng Yu as he had not adequately fought in a while, his control of the worldly essences around him becoming more natural as a peculiar kind of sharpness protruded from his being.
Feng Yu feeling his change became confused, but he had no time to ponder it as his enemies were now finally upon them, and both Myria’s and Leon’s voices could be heard as they issued their final commands.
“Everyone fight for your freedoms! Kill the fiends who claimed our lands and have suppressed us for these many eons!” Myria’s voice echoed throughout the entire palace reaching the ears of all beings, followed by Leon who also yelled, “All races charge!”
“Uwaaaaahhhh!” The alliance army and natives yelled at the top of their voices their morals reaching its peak as they firmly grasped their weapons and soared towards the approaching enemies using their flying artifacts. The fairies flapped their wings, the dwarfins rode strange constructs, while others rode the winds.
As the alliance army charged, both Myria and Leon glanced towards Feng Yu as they each left a message before soaring towards the troop commander.
“Be careful, Chosen Yu!”
“Don’t worry about us! Just do your best to survive! We shall handle the enemy commanders!”
Feng Yu looked at their forms with a smile on his face as he saw them rushing towards the group of commanders before the charging fiends, quickly he calmed his mood and took out a familiar disc-like flying artifact as he soared towards the sky joining the ranks of the alliance members as they charged to their enemies.
Eventually, the two charged armies met in the sky as a terrifying boom soon followed.
Boooom! Their collision caused a new shockwave to spread out in all directions followed by a bright white light as if some being had used a super move, this ball of light spread outwards for a distance of a kilometer before shrinking back to its source revealing the brutal battle that was shrouded underneath its cover.
“Urraaaaa!!” yelled one alliance leader who had recently arrived rushed towards a group of charging fiends who were still momentarily stunned by the expulsion, his muscular arms bulging as he swung a large blade towards his enemies.
Puff! Puff! Puff!
The heads of these dazed fiends soared from their bodies as their necks started to spew torrents of blood towards the air, their eyes filled with their final moments of despair as if they had momentarily recovered from their dazes only to die unprepared.
The alliance leader having done this didn’t pause his charge but continued towards the swarm of enemies, his figure blurring in and between their gaps like a ghostly snake leaving behind a trail of corpses in his wake. One of the fiend leaders who noticed him promptly rushed forwards with a massive blunt spikey mallet which he swung towards the head of the alliance leader.
Whoosh! The mallet forcefully separated the air showing the force at which the fiend leader swung it. Quickly, it reached the unsuspecting alliance leader who inherently reacted by shifting his body towards the side to avoid the danger. A pity, however, the mallet though missing its main target still ended up smashing into his side.
Bang! Spluff! Following a loud sound, the armor on the right side of the alliance leader broke to pieces as the spikey mallet sunk deeply into his side tearing off the flesh on his body. A grievous wound that would kill any other in an instant, as even the pain from this wound was sure enough to drive one insane.
“Arghh!” The alliance leader mourned as he dropped his weapons to remove the spikey mallet that plunged into his grievous wound but tried as he might, he could not move the mallet much less remove it from his flesh, only capable of watching as his blood continuously poured out of flesh.
Suddenly, a snort could be heard as a shadow had now towered over his being with one hand firmly gripping the handle of mallet it sneered while looking at the alliance leader before him. “Hmph! So foolish daring to charge in this army alone, did you think you were some sort of hero? Tsk-tsk! Time to send you on your way!”
After he finished his speech, he put some force into his hand that was holding the spikey mallet and ruthlessly pulled it towards himself. The spikes on the mallet skewering the remaining flesh on the alliance leader’s torso causing him to once again mourn in pain as the life started to fade away from his body. Soon, the mallet was removed thereafter as it was whirled in the air for a short moment before the fiend leader smashed it again at the alliance leader’s head.
Splatt! The head of the alliance leader broke to pieces causing his brain matter scattered about, staining the edge of the fiend leader’s spikey mallet.
Not bothering to shake it off, the fiend leader grinned ruthlessly as he looked around at the chaotic battle scene; he then made his way towards the members of the alliance army.
As this occurred, many similar scenes were playing out across the sky battlefield. The corpses of both fiends and natives falling towards the ground, a few of them falling into the lakes of the Fairy Palace sending ripples about while painting the waters with their blood as the others who fell outside of this range fell below the rocky pillar descending towards the bottomless abyss of the massive surrounding crater.
Feng Yu who had also momentarily been sent into a daze due to the energy shockwave had now finally awoken, his eyes and hair turned full golden with his multi-colored thunders streaking across its different strands, while a few wisps of flames danced around his body, his aura suddenly becoming of an otherworldly kind.
“Human, you’re coming with me!!!” Not giving Feng Yu any time to react, a nearby fiend who emitted the auras similar to that of True Foundation realm rushed towards him like a ray of light. His arms stretched out with his fingers gleaming in a vicious light as he intended to grievously wound Feng Yu before capturing him to bring to the army commander.
Feng Yu soon after lifted up his head, causing his hair which covered his face to part two sides revealing his bright golden pupils that gleamed sharply as he spoke while gripping his two swords, “Come and meet your death!”
His voice resounding throughout the area as an unusually brutal aura rose from his being, making him seem like a slaughter of thousands of lives. The bloody wind sweeping across this battlefield which now began in its true sense...
Chapter 135
A Bloody War, Threat from all corners!
Abloody wind wafted through the air rustling the clothing and hairs belonging to all who were embroiled in intense battle, at a certain section of this airborne battlefield was the figure of a golden-haired youth floating on top of a strange magical disk as well as a mighty looking fiend that was fully garbed in strange armor.
The mighty fiend emanated an overwhelming amount of energies being no weaker than the 1st Tier of True Foundation realm as his strange artificial wings flapped fiercely pushing his body towards the red-haired youth at blurry speeds.
Swoosh! As the fiend charged forwards, the winds grew disordered, causing the hair strands covering the youths to face to part to the side of his face revealing his pure golden eyes that gleamed with a savage light.
Quickly, the fiend soon arrived before his target striking out his claw-like hands towards the youth’s unguarded chest.
“You're coming with me!!” The fiend yelled in an aggressive manner, as his outstretched claws were now about to pierce through the youth’s chest. Suddenly, however, there was a change.
“Hmph! Only an elite low-class fiend ...” Feng Yu mocked as a dark smile came on his face, he slightly leaned his body to the side narrowly but easily avoiding the fiend attack, a few strands of his bright golden hair managed to be singed by its assault causing them to float away with the rising winds.
“What?!” The fiend exclaimed in surprise as he didn’t expect such an easy avoidance, he was about to do another follow-up assault, but before he could react, it was too late.
Feng Yu having avoided the fiend's attack twirled his body to the side as he easily shifted to his opponent's blind spot. As he circled his opponen
t, he left a trail of two golden lights in the void which connected to his eyes.
Now behind his clueless opponent, he then tightened his grip on both Black Lightning and Crimson Ember before slashing them at the fiend's non-protected neck.
Shiiiing~! The cry of the sword resounded, creating a melody suitable only on the battlefield as the two blades easily cut through the unguarded neck of the fiend.
Puff!! A geyser of blood soon after spewing out from his headless neck splattering on a few nearby battling individuals, while his head fell towards abyss with a look of confusion still visible in his now dull eyes.
Feng Yu having killed this fiend then swept his murderous eyes across the battlefield, with his two swords in his hand that dripped with the blood of the low-class fiend. The lights from the surroundings now reflecting off his newly retrofitted scarlet under armor that gleamed brightly underneath his crimson red robe that swayed in the winds, giving him the image of a war god from ancient times.
“My movement technique is useless in airborne fights making me unable to utilize my advantages in speed. Still, there is the unexpected benefit brought about by use of this flying artifact so long as the enemy doesn’t have one of a higher grade than my family’s top-class earth grade ‘Void Disk,’ or are a natural flying type fiends. Then, I should be able to battle even strong opponents to a certain degree...” Feng Yu muttered to himself as he glanced towards the black disk with glowing red runes underneath his feet.
However, as he was momentarily distracted a few of the fiends in the distance who were observing him secretly decided to use this chance.
“Form up! Mass distance attacks on me! Now!!!” A powerful looking fiend who gave off the presence of a Middle-class fiend shouted towards a group of low-class fiends gathering them in a squad which quickly started to bombard long-range energy attacks towards the unguarded Feng Yu.
Piiiiiiii! Their dark energy attacks beaming through the void like rays of light descending towards him, as Feng Yu sensed the threat, he quickly reacted pressing his foot down on the Void Disk causing its runes to glow in a bright crimson light as it propelled his body upwards in a slanted angle narrowly avoiding the mass-energy attacks.
As the beams swept past Feng Yu’s body, their dark purple lights illuminated his figure before they arrived at his previous location and connected with ungodly precision as if the fiends had practiced this mass attack for many eons.
BOOOOM! A shocking explosion soon after followed as a dense cloud of purple energies erupted from the collision point spreading outwards, after expanding for no more than 1000 meters the cloud slowly faded revealing the previously shrouded scene.
The bodies of a few unguarded fiends and natives now falling from this section of the sky, as their skins were burned black soon quickly fading away with the fierce winds from surrounding battles shockwaves.
The leading middle-class fiend who previously commanded the mass assault frowned as he saw this scene; he scanned the area carefully as he sought for Feng Yu’s whereabouts but could not find any traces.
“Chet! This human, so slippery...” After he said this, he then looked towards the squad of fiends who were well organized around him before opening his mouth to command once again. “Quickly recover your energies we must seek for the human before he is properly regrouped with a s---”
The middle-class fiend tried to command the group about their new objective but was soon cut off by a sudden change.
“There’s no need, for I am already here...” A voice seeming to have traveled from hell itself resounded throughout the area filling the squad leader with shock; he quickly sent his fiendish sense around the area soon noticing the rapidly descending figure from above.
“Why could my senses not detect his presence beforehand?” He thought to himself in puzzlement as he waved his hand towards the group of fiends pointing towards the descending Feng Yu and yelling, “It doesn’t matter if he’s alive or dead, bring his body to me!”
The fiends in the squad hearing this command grew excited once again as their eyes glowed in a sinister light, their wing artifacts flapping wildly causing them to soar towards the descending Feng Yu as they shouted, “Human, die!”
Whoosh! As Feng Yu descended, his blazing golden flames along with sparks of multi-colored shrouded his form making him seem no different from a meteor. Soon, both he and the charging fiends arrived before each other, as this happened, the fiends quickly spread out surrounding his figure before launching attacks simultaneously.
Still surrounded by his overwhelming auras, Feng Yu’s eyes glowed sharply as held his swords outwards assuming a stance similar to a bird during flight, he shouted in a cold voice, “Dual Extremity Sword Style - Thunder Flash Phantom Swords!”
Crackle! Following the sounds of thunder, his body along with the Void Disk split up into many afterimages which glowed in the same thunderous blazing energies. They then swiftly split up and went to meet each of the assaulting fiends’ attacks creating a confusing scene.
Clank-clank-clank-clank!
The sound of swords, claws, and metals colliding together sounded like each of the fiends seemed to be fighting a real form unable to distinguish real from false. However, the leading middle-class fiend who floated in the distance frowned as he pointed towards one of the afterimages and yelled, “What are you doing it is only an elusive technique? Don’t attack the shades his true body is right there!”
The fiends hearing his command and seeing the location he pointed at promptly responded by pushing back their semi-real after images and rushing towards the main body.
As Feng Yu saw that his technique was seen through, he didn’t panic, instead, a look of excitement shone in his eyes as he smiled in thought, “It seems that there are flaws in this technique of mine, good! If it were perfect, then there would be no point in striving for continuous improvement. I shall use your corpses to hone these skills of mine to an even further level...”
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Like blurry shades, the fiends once again arrived before Feng Yu’s body launching different types of attacks, some of them attacking in unison while others attacked from a distance looking for any chance of an unexpected opening.
Not wasting any time, Feng Yu leaned his body forward pressing his foot hard on the runes of the Void Disk which instantly halted his movements causing all of his condensed auras shrouding his figure to scatter across the area pushing away a few of the low-class fiends with cultivations lower than the peak of Aura Disciple realm.
The groups of stronger fiends who managed to resist this release of energy quickly continued their rush as if they hadn’t been hindered by it in any way, Feng Yu seeing this smiled as he gently lifted the two swords in his palms causing them to leave behind a trail of remnant shades with each movement.
“Thunder Flash Blazing Swords!” Feng Yu yelled as his aura erupted once more quickly shrouding the edge of his two swords.
Shing-Shing-Shing! Clank-Clank!
The cry of the swords resounded between the noises of torn flesh and metallic collisions as Feng Yu’s body swiftly moved back and forth through this cluster of low-class fiends swiping his swords left and right at alarming speeds, leaving behind only flashes of golden flames and instances of thunderous streaks. His figure swaying side to side avoiding many of the head on attacks while he parried many of the opportunistic assaults that were launched by the fiends who surrounded him from a distance.
The middle-class fiend leader seeing this knitted his brows and gripped his weapon being a large brutal beheader blade which rested on his back, but before he could do anything a set of voices could be heard from behind him.
“Can’t your bunch handle a mere human pup?” A tall mightily looking fiend kind who wore robes instead of armor appeared out of nowhere, beside him were a few powerful looking fiends with gazes that shone with pure self-confidence.
Seeing these figures, the middle-class fiend bowed politely and greeted, “3rd Tier Leader
Jauk, greets the 1st Tiers Leaders!”
“Chet! A creature as weak as this requiring such attention from the Palace Commander and the Witch of the Forest...” One big looking fiend said while looking towards Feng Yu with disdain, a female nymph who stood beside him promptly responded as she flapped her wings furiously.
“Ulan, I advise you to choose your words carefully when you refer to our Queen...” The Aqua Nymph said in a cold tone, Ulan hearing this frowned but after a moment he crossed his arms and laughed while responding, “Hahaha! Fine! Fine! If the great Kiria wishes so, I shall simply comply...”
“...........” Kiria looked at him with a look of indifference as she rolled her eyes away from him focusing back on the battling Feng Yu.
The other mightily fiends seeing this shook their heads as they muttered to themselves, “These two at it again...”
Ulan having noticed Kiria’s look of indifference finally moved his vision towards Feng Yu once again and spoke, “Oh, it seems my words were incorrect, though his cultivation is poor his battle strength is vast, capable of holding his own to a certain degree with this standard of enemies...”
As he spoke to her, he couldn’t help but think to himself, “It’s no wonder he could do such a thing to the headquarters... but no matter, for today he shall fall to our hands...” He looked towards Jauk and commanded, “You there, tell your squad to step aside as I shall be the one to catch this human...”
“Eh? Does the leader Ulan want to personally capture a weak human such as this?” Jauk asked surprised, hearing his words Ulan impatiently responded, “Well, the enemies force is weak, and there are no worthy commanders on their side as even our front advance is capable of handling their troops. Since the enemy stands no chance, I might as well take this chance to see what’s so special about this damn human... now quickly tell your squad to--- eh?”
As Ulan was about to command once again, he promptly paused his words as he looked towards the battling Feng Yu with surprise. Kiria who had been focused on Feng Yu from the start also had a similar look in her eyes.
