While they laughed Feng Junling also looked towards Feng Yu in utter surprise, but soon, his eyes narrowed as he started to feel something strange, he gazed at Jing Mingyun only to realize that she was slowly becoming a bit more recognizable. Soon, his eyes opened even wider as he finally realized who it was while muttering, “So, it was her…”

Suddenly, the silent Saint Queen walked forward, the previously laughing natives and Feng clansmen seeing this became silent, the looks on the faces of the allied natives becoming sterner as a few of them started to sweat profusely. The members of the Feng Clan upon seeing this grow solemn as they didn’t think that she could have such an influence, quickly she arrived before Feng Yu and the others sweeping her eyes across Zyne and the other leaders for a moment before locking her gaze on Feng Yu and Jing Mingyun before speaking, “I greet the Chosen and the greet the Dragon Heiress Jing! Welcome to the Dragon Palace!”

  Chapter 177

  The Natives Ascension!

The scene soon became one of silence as now only the sounds of the roaring winds could be heard with the vicinity of the Dragon Palace, the Feng Clan members hearing the words of the Saint Queen were stunned as they had now finally realized who the beauty beside Feng Yu was, the looks on Feng Xingyu’s and Feng Yunlong’s face thus changed, as Feng Xingyu soon recalled the previous strength shown by Jing Mingyun during the events of the Chosen Battle Arena, thinking to herself she couldn’t help but laugh as she spoke, “Little Yu, I didn’t think you had such courage!”

Feng Yunlong, on the other hand, began to feel a surge of pride as his eyes glanced over Jing Mingyun with satisfaction; he gazed at Feng Yu with proudness as he muttered, “Is it our fate? I thought myself lucky to marry his mother but think that my… my own son has managed to bring a True Dragon home…”

Feng Junling also felt it to be the way out of the norm, as this was something that he would have never expected to occur out of the blue, he shook his head and muttered, “The young will always exceed the old, it is the will of nature to have each generation succeed their predecessors…”

Feng Yu hearing their words felt even more embarrassed he scratched his head and replied, “It’s not as you all think…” As he said this, he couldn’t help but glare at Jing Mingyun for choosing to remain silent as if she was tactically accepting their previous words as fact. She looked at Feng Yu and smiled back in return, before gazing at the Saint Queen and speaking, “Aunt Wuya, you’ve been burdened for quite a lot of years… I must thank you for your hard efforts in place of my father…”

The Saint Queen hearing her words smiled and replied, “These are duties that I am bound to uphold Heiress, still, I will accept your thanks with grace…” After saying this, she swept her eyes across the now silent Feng Clan members and alliance leaders before speaking in a loud voice, “Perfect! Now that we have all gathered, we finally bring an end to this event!”

The instant she spoke these words, the surroundings became silent, the individuals belonging to the major influences along with those of the Feng Clan and the allied natives gazed at her in silence, the expressions of Zyne, Demetria, Yemo, Myria, Leon, along with the alliance leaders becoming slightly nervous as they awaited her next words.

She slowly rose into the air arriving a few dozens of meters from the ground before pointing her finger towards the natives and speaking, “From this day forth, there will be no more entry to this mystic realm as the True Blood Chosen has successfully completed the ancient duty left by his highness. As such, by the decree of the Dragon King, I Jin Wuya shall hereby release you of your seals and grant pardon to your crimes! You are now free to return to the Empyrean Primal Territories!”

Her loud voice rumbling across the heavens as a strange wave of power swept across the bodies of native’s filling the minds of each of the natives who heard it with a certain type of feeling, a feeling they have long since forgotten since ancient times, the feeling of being a free man.

Bang! Instantly, as if something broke, a few semi-transparent strands of energies could be seen leaving their bodies receding towards the Dragon Palace. The moment these energies vanished, the bodies of each of the natives began to undergo an unusual change; their bodies began to glow in a brilliant light filling their entirety with a noble prestige as if every being before them were no more than mere lesser class lifeforms.

As the natives felt this change, they lifted their heads to the sky and shouted in cheerful joys, “Finally, my power is returning!”

“Hahaha! I can finally return to my home! I can see my tribesmen and strive forward once more on the path of cultivation!” Another native said with tearful eyes, as many of the other natives released cries of joy, Zyne, Demetria, Yemo, Myria, Leon as well as the other alliance leaders looked at the powerful energy surrounding their bodies with a smile on their faces, they then faced floating Jin Wuya in the sky and bowed politely before speaking.

“We thank the Saintess for her grace!”

Jing Wuya seeing this nodded her head indifferently before replying, “Um.”

After doing this, Zyne and the others looked at Feng Yu and Jing Mingyun with a smile, Demetria then walked forward and spoke towards them, “Chosen Yu! Heiress Jing! If it weren’t for you, we would never be here and would have been forced to serve the rest of lives in this realm to atone to our past crimes! As such, on behalf of all our kinds, we will never forget your efforts, we will never forget your aid!”

The instant she said this, the previously cheerful natives soon came over and bowed their heads as each of them spoke in a loud voice that shook the world, “Our strengths are forever at your command!”

As Jin Wuya saw this, her previous indifferent face became a little gentler as she spoke in a voice only she could hear, “It seems that they’ve really changed after meeting the Chosen and Heiress Jing…”

Feng Yu smiled as she saw this and responded, “It was through everyone’s effort that we arrived here today, as such, I will not take credit for this end result, I enjoyed fighting side by side with you all and will look forward to the next time we meet again!”

Jing Mingyun hearing his words also nodded and replied, “My father brought you here, it is natural that I, as his daughter, finish what he could no longer do here, I thank you all for your help in not only helping me to recover my source energies but also in my pre-Dragonic Awakening, I will be sure to pay your clans a visit in the future to repay this gratitude…”

Zyne, Demetria, and the others hearing this smiled in response to their words as they looked at the two of them with even more grateful eyes, Soon, the energies on their bodies started to climb at an even faster rate as it formed a pillar of divine light which connected to the heavens themselves.

Crack! Quickly, cracks in space began to appear at the summits of the sky as the rays of light which emitted from the native’s bodies soon after connected with them creating a stable channel. If one looked closely, they would notice that beyond these cracks was a strange world, a place like none that was ever seen by those of the Feng Clan or those who were now within the palace’s domain.

A sea of colorful mist blanketed the sights for as far as one could perceive, as a few vague looking constructs could be recognized, pillars that extended to no end seeming to be connected to some unusual type of gate shrouded behind the sea of colorful mists.

Feng Yu seeing this looked at the scene in shock as he had no idea what was hidden behind the mist shown in the cracks, he thought to himself, “The Empyrean Primal Realm… I wonder when is it that I will truly get the chance to travel those boundless skies…”

As he was lost in his own thoughts, the figures of Zyne and the others began to rise into the air moving through the channels that were connected to the world behind the heavens. Feng Yu abruptly awoke from his thoughts when he saw this scene and couldn’t help but feel somewhat dejected when he saw Zyne leaving.

“Ah, well I guess it can’t be helped, I was already blessed with this special armor as
well as the modifications done to my sword black lightning. I’ll simply have to find a talent forger in the further to make weapons for Dawnwing…” Feng Yu thought to himself so as to cheer himself up.

Soon, Zyne and the others had almost reached the point where the crack in the sky loomed, as he saw that he was almost about to exit this domain, he moved his eyes to his side gazing at the figure of Leon before stopping at Demetria who was also similarly gazing at Myria.

As if she sensed his gaze, Demetria looked towards Zyne with a smile on her face as her eyes showed a certain type of understanding. Zyne seeing this laughed as she sent a mental message, “Haha! It seems that you’ve also thought about it as well…”

“What’s there to think about? It would be good for them to grow in a place filled with more difficulties…” Demetria said with a mysterious smile on her face, Zyne seeing this smiled and replied with a thoughtful look on his face, “The Dragon King was right, the young must learn to grow independently striving to achieve success from the very ground up…”

As they both thought to themselves, they looked at Jin Wuya who was supervising their ascension and sent her message, as she heard their words, Jin Wuya furrowed her brows for a moment before moving her eyes towards Feng Yu who was currently standing beside Jing Mingyun.

After doing this, she glanced towards Zyne and Demetria before replying in a soft voice, “Fine… I will only allow this because of his success in the trials and relation with the heiress, for like all dragons she too will have her own duties to fulfill and won’t be able to stay by his side for too long…”

Zyne and Demetria hearing her words smiled in response, they then gazed towards Feng Yu before speaking at the same time, “Chosen Yu! Brat Yu!”

Yemo, Leon and Myria who were also in the phase of ascension upon hearing their words couldn’t help but glance towards Zyne and Demetria with puzzled expressions on their faces. Feng Yu hearing their words became surprised as he wondered what more they wanted to say, noticing their somewhat mischievous expressions he couldn’t help but get a strange feeling, but before he could even ponder on it the continued their words.

“They may be a bit rough around the edges, but they will surely grow in splendid successors in the near future. Hence, we shall trust you to guide them forwards and lead them back to us in the future!” Both Zyne and Myria said, as their bodies were now almost within the cracks.

Feng Yu hearing this was shocked as he had no idea who they were referring towards, however, his questions were quickly answered.

Phew! A bright beam of light shot towards both Myria’s and Leon’s forms causing their ascension to halt as their divine-like powers were sealed once again, Soon, their cultivation levels were sharply suppressed dropping all the way down to the levels of an early True Foundation realm practitioner.

“What?!” Both Myria and Leon exclaimed in surprise, they looked around confusedly for a while before looking at Demetria and Zyne with anger.

“Mother what are you doing?!” Myria shouted in indignation, Leon looked at Zyne with an anger on a different plane compared to before his eyes turning red as she yelled, “Zyneas! What are you doing?!”

Demetria hearing Myria words smiled and replied as she forcefully resisted the pull of the crack above her, “Myria… your time as queen has not yet arrived, as such, I have decided to allow you to explore the worlds on the outside to gain more experience… if you’re worried all you have to do is quickly grow stronger and ascend to this our realm in the future…”

Myria hearing this didn’t feel better she looked at her mother who was at the crack in the heavens with a sad look in her eyes before softly speaking, “Mother…”

Zyne glanced at the angered Leon with a deep look on his face before he spoke, “I know what you’re thinking, I’m no longer your father, as such I have no concerns interfering in your life. That is ok, you need not see me as your father, for now, I shall once again accept my post as King, as King it is my duty to see to it that my successor walks the correct path, as a dwarfin you are unable to forge and this to all dwarfins in no different from a crime. If you wish to reclaim the throne from my hands, then it is simple, follow the Chosen and grow stronger, learn the ways of a true craftsman and ascend once more to our domain…”

As Zyne spoke to himself, his look changed to that of a reminiscent one as he lifted his bright hammer, “Partner… it looks like this is where our story ends, it is up to you now to guide that brat on the path he is destined…” As if the hammer could hear his words, it started to ripple in a gentle manner as if it didn’t want to leave Zyne, as he said this, gazing at the hammer for a short while before speaking in a soft voice, “The old is destined to fade as the youths thrive, now go…”

Swish! With a flick of his wrist he tossed it towards Leon who instantly became stunned, he promptly reached out his hand to catch the hammer which quickly came into his grasp before he glanced towards the now disappearing figure of Zyne before speaking, “Why? Why now of all times?!”

Zyne hearing his words smiled before replying, “Because now, is the right time…” As he said this, his figure soon began to warp and distort as the crack in the sky began to swallow his figure. Soon, his body vanished away from this realm in entirely leaving behind a few words that echoed in the wind, “Take care… Leon…”

Leon’s already red eyes seemed to falter at this moment, as drop of tears could be seen at the corner of his eyes, but before these tears could fall, they were evaporated by a strong energy as Leon gazed at the crack in silence…

The surrounding natives who were ascending had already vanished behind the different cracks, returning once more to the distant realm, the only person who had yet to vanished was the Queen of Fairies, Demetria, who looked at the tearful Myria with a gentle look on her face as she took off a small assessor around her neck and tossed it towards her.

Tap! Quickly, Myria caught the object that was thrown towards her which was a necklace with a small pendant attached, she then looked at her mother and spoke, “Mother this is…”

“Um. It’s yours now… so take good care of it, my child…” As Demetria said this, she soon after vanished into the crack above the heavens leaving behind only her words, the large crack in the sky soon after closing as if the entities it wanted to expel had all vanished.

The members of the Feng Clan looked at the scene with surprise as they didn’t think two of them would be forced to stay back, Feng Yunlong looked at the two before gazing at Feng Yu with a deep look who was now by his side as Feng Junling spoke in a soft voice, “This is good, after this Yu child will have to venture on his own… with the expertise of the Fabled Fairies and Dwarfins on his side, I’m sure he will have a better chance at strengthening himself and growing into the true expert…”

“Indeed…” Feng Yunlong said with a look of appreciation in his eyes as he gazed at the empty skies, Feng Yu looked at the two who continued to look at their artifacts in silence before glancing towards the silent Jing Mingyun by his side.

“Yun’er, why do you think that made this choice?” Feng Yu asked, as she heard his words Jing Mingyun glanced at the skies for a short while before replying, “Because they believed that by following your side, they will be able to grow independently stronger than they would have grown if stay stayed in the conform of their domains upon returning to that realm…”

Feng Yu hearing this remained silent for a while a pondering expression, after a short moment a firm look flashed in his eyes as he gripped his fists tightly before speaking, “Well since that’s the case, I shall not disappoint their expectations… I will quickly grow stronger and allow them one day return that realm stronger than before…”

As he said this, the winds started to blow once more sweeping across the forms of those gathered before Dragon Palace as if hinting towards a shifting of one age to the next…

  Chapter 178

The Duty of a Dragonborn? Entering the Dragon Palace!

  The sc
ene at the Dragon Palace was now one of silence as the previous excitement had now died down, the natives whose time here was more than what many of them could remember now gone as they’ve returned to their once mysterious homelands.

Jin Wuya seeing the silence before her finally clapped her hands once again waking the members of the Feng clan from their dazed states, she glided back to the ground before pointing at the Dragon Palace’s entrance and speaking, “The others have long since entered, and time limit is only a single day, you should now take this chance to enter the palace and claim your desired rewards!”

After hearing this, the members of the clan quickly roused themselves from their distracted manner gazing at the forms of Feng Yunlong and Feng Junling. As they saw this, both Feng Yunlong and Feng Junling looked at each other and nodded before gazing at the clansmen.

“Let’s go!” Feng Yunlong said, quickly the elders and clansmen began to make way towards the entrance way at a calm pace, Feng Yu was about to follow along but couldn’t help but pause when he noticed that Jing Mingyun wasn’t going to follow him, he looked at her and asked, “Yun’er, are you not coming?”

Jing Mingyun shook her head and replied, “No, I’ve been there many times before, you could say that I’ve already completed what I came to this realm to accomplish. Go on I’ll be here once you get out, I also have a few things to say to you at that time…”

Feng Yu hearing this felt strange but didn’t ask as he once more turned around and started to walk towards the palace entrance. While he was moving the distant Feng Xingyu had stopped walking, she looked at the disappearing backs of her nephew and brothers and spoke in a voice only Feng Yu could hear.
