Howard and my family is blending perfectly together but the only thing that is lacking- no one knows where Barry is. He and Emily had disappeared that night and no one has heard from either of them. Every other week, I would call Emily’s family and according to them they don’t know where she is either.
“Come on, let’s go.”
He picks up the twins’ bags and I walk over to the bed where I left them. Their little blonde heads bobble a little as they watch me but they get a big smile on their faces when I lean down and kiss them both.
I pick them up and they are giggling and laughing at me as I make funny noises with my mouth. “Mommy loves you, babies,” I say as I begin to buckle them up in their stroller.
We moved a block over from my parents’ house and we have actually been getting along well. It’s crazy to know that they wanted to blame me and not themselves for Barry’s problems.
“We are going to Grandma’s!” I say as we begin to walk. Howard is still carrying the bags and I look over at the bright sun that is shining through the trees.
Life is pretty damn perfect if I do say so myself.
