“Yes, but I have no idea who they are. I bought in this area because the security is acceptable. Not as tight as back home, but it works. I have three men who live on the property at all times and oversee it while I’m back East. We have extra guards when I’m in town, so with Cooper we will have enough security during our visit. My father knows about this property, but since we left discreetly, it will be a few days until he suspects I’m here. By then we will be at my new house.”
“But how you can buy a property and not have your father know? He’s the Mob they know everything.”
“To a point, Angelina. The Mob is still old school. They rely on the old ways of doing things. Through the network of who they know and what those people know. The internet and social media is something they avoid. It brings too much exposure. Remember they operate and exist under a veil of secrecy. This is what makes the Mob so dangerous. The idea that many people believe the Mob is no longer viable in everyday life and it only still exists in the movies, or that the Mob is very limited in it influence is the farthest thing from the truth. The fact is the Mob is stronger than they have been in years and this is why that book is such a threat. It expose this reality and their methods for staying under the radar.
“Most people have shifted their focus to other present dangers such as terrorists and drug crimes, but behind the scenes, the mob is still healthy and very active. Just in a different capacity, but the players and techniques are still effective.”
Cooper stopped at a gate, punched in a code, and the gate opened. We drove through the towering concrete fortress protecting Victor’s property. Scarlett blew kisses to the security cameras that seemed to be everywhere. I felt instantly safe. We stopped again at another gate. Cooper rolled down all the windows so the goon in the guard house could see us.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Salvatore,” he said. Then he nodded at me.
“Mr. Wolfe,” Victor replied.
Cooper rolled up the windows and continued along the driveway. I tried to roll down my window, but it wouldn’t cooperate. Scarlett started to dismantle the lock with her power screw driver.
“Babe, why do you want the window down?”
“To inhale some more of that ocean air.” I realized the last beach trip, fifteen years ago with my parents, was the last time I smelled ocean air.
“We’re just pulling up to the property as we speak.”
I looked out the window and gasped. Scarlett flung open the door to the Escalade and ran full-throttle down the dirt path to the ocean. I hear a whoo hoo as she face planted into the first wave.
Victor helped me out of the Escalade. I took a deep breath and exhaled.
“Umm a modest version of the cottage, my ass,” I said pointed to the all stone mini mansion with two columns.
“It’s more like the cottage on steroids,” I quipped.
Victor laughed and scooped me up, giggling, and brought into the house. Scarlett fainted, the poor girl, when she saw the fully stocked bar in the corner.

Scarlett was back in action, the blender working hard making a Pina Colada complete with the little pink parasol. She licked her lips and dashed for the wrap around deck allowing for a full 360 degree view of the ocean. After the tour of the four bedroom mini version of Salvatore Disney Land, Victor joined me on the deck with a glass of wine in hand. I couldn’t get enough of the fresh salt air and the sound of the waves crashing against the beach below us.
“Victor this is so relaxing and just what I needed,” I said grabbing his arm.
“Yes. We both do,” he said, the ocean breeze blowing through that gorgeous black hair.
“I would love to take a walk along the beach with you. It’s always been one of my favorite things to do.”
“Great idea,” he said.
The house sat on the edge of a cliff with a set of stairs leading to the beach, that was heavily guarded at all times and we had to go through two sets of gates.
I couldn’t wait to slip out of my shoes and sink my toes into the warm sand of the beach. Scarlett was zipping up her wet suit and a surf board tucked under her arm. She ran wide open to the water.
Victor clutched my hand as we quietly walked, looking at the other houses built on the same enormous cliff with the amazing views. My thoughts wandered to who lived in those houses and were their lives as tumultuous as mine or in as much danger, or was this their escape from of all it? It was quickly becoming mine. I wanted to spend more time in California and at this house. It brought back so many memories from my childhood with my parents. I worried those memories would trigger emotions I had fought so hard to keep under wraps since the accident, but it didn’t. It conjured the feelings of being free without a care in the world. With each wave that crashed into the beach, I relaxed and all of the fear, worry and turmoil of the last few months just vanished. I wanted to stay there in California, in this house with Victor forever. It was starting to get dark and Scarlett was totally pissed off at me because I wasn’t watching her surfing moves and flashing a sign that gave her a 10.
“Let’s sit and watch the sun set. Then I will cook you dinner.”
“Sounds like a perfect plan. I’ve just have fallen head over heels in love with California, Victor. I’d forgotten how much I love the beach and warm weather.”
Scarlett splashed water in my face to get my attention. A huge swell was forming and she didn’t want me to miss it.
Sorry Scar!
Victor’s lips attacked mine and he was soaking in their taste. My sweep spot was building faster than the wave Scarlett was waiting for. Victor gently laid me on the sand and brushed my hair away from my eyes.
“I love you more than I could even explain to you. Angelina, you are my life and mean more to me than anything or anybody else ever has.”
Our kiss was long and passionate, our lips and tongues expressing how deep our love really was. When Victor pulled back, I was out of breath, but my sweet spot was still building. Fuck this is going be one hell of a ride. The sunset almost took my breath away, Victor’s kiss still held that record. His hand slid up my dress and wasted no time sliding off my panties. Laying on his stomach, Victor’s lips and tongue devoured my clit and my back arched. I squirmed in sheer bliss. I heard Scarlett yell, Jesus H! What a ride! as my orgasm smashed into the beach simultaneously.
Victor, using his tongue, licked the sides of my stomach, slowly savoring every single inch. My nipples were already craving his lips and the sensation of the ocean breeze and Victor’s lips made my sweet spot paddle out into the surf for another ride. Victor gently kissed my neck as I felt his manliness stake its claim. The moon danced off his tanned, amazing ass and as a wave crashed ashore, the water just reached our toes, causing both of us to let out a primal scream that possibly set off a few alarm systems along the beach. I was waiting for the goons to descend guns drawn.
Victor rolled on his back trying to catch his breath looking at the stars.
“It just gets more amazing each time,” he whispered.
“Yes, it does.”
Reluctantly, we both sat up and brushed the sand off. Then we headed back to the house. I scanned the water for Scarlett, but it was too dark. As we passed through the first gate at the edge of the estate, I couldn’t look the goon in the eye. I had a sneaking suspicion he knew what just went on down at the beach. I was sure it spread like wild fire among the goon squad. I wonder if Victor sends a special text with some code word saying that the wild baboon noise you hear are nothing to worry about. Scarlett and I both giggled at the thought.

The smells that wafted through the house beckoned me to the kitchen. Scarlett was standing there with a can of whip cream in her hand. She smiled that devious grin as she titled her head back and sprayed the whip cream in her mouth. I rolled my eyes, but not before I had my own naughty thought of what I wanted to do with that whip cream and Victor later that night. Scarlett swatted my butt as she walked by, wiping the whip cream off her nose.
You go, girl, she mumbled.
Victor pulled out my chair, placed the white linen napkin in my lap, and poured me a glass of wine. I couldn’t sit still as my sweet spot was racing like a freight train out of control with the thoughts of what I had planned for my Italian Adonis.
Victor put the plate in front of me, waving his hand over the steam rising up to tease my nose and push my taste buds over the edge with anticipation. Scarlett had the napkin tucked in the top of her blouse and sleeves rolled up She was starving from all that surfing. I was starving for all the hot sex.
Dinner didn’t disappoint, but my sweet spot was relentless. I squeezed my knees tight and shifted in my seat.
“You okay, babe?” Victor asked noticing my restlessness.
“No, I’m not,” I said.
Victor’s expression was a cocktail of curiosity, concern and amusement. “What’s wrong?” he asked pushing his chair back from the table.
I walked next to Victor, leaned in and whispered in his ear, “Do you trust me.”
He clenched the table, his eyes danced widely in anticipation. I grabbed his napkin and tied it around his eyes. His breathing become erratic and I grabbed the can of whip cream off the counter and then grabbed Victor’s hand and guided him to the bedroom.
“Are you peeking?” I said trying to detect if he could see under my hastily made blind fold.
“Nope. I promise, cross my heart.” He drew an X over his heart.
Scar gave me the thumbs up to confirm my plan was on course. I led him into the bedroom and forcefully pushed him on the bed. His breathing intensified and I knew he was so turned on. I disappeared into the closet and grabbed two neckties and laid him back on the bed, tying each wrist to the bedpost. His body stiffened and he grabbed my wrist for a brief moment to stop me.
“It’s okay, just trust me.”
He dropped his free hand and allowed me to restrain him.
“This is so fuckin’ hot, baby.” The lust dripping from his voice.
I slid out of my clothes and tore off Victor’s flinging them across the room. I took a moment to admire my naked Adonis laying ready for me to devour every inch of his insane hotness. It took my breath away with just how gorgeous he was. The ocean in the background added to the ambiance. I started at his ankles and began kissing the inside very slowly. I felt his body respond as my tongue danced it way up the inside of his left leg. I stopped as I reached his balls. His manliness was so hard and ready. I began my ascent up the inside of his right leg, again stopping just short of his balls.
For a moment I thought he would erupt like a volcano and I hadn’t even reached the erotic part yet. Scarlett put on her rain gear and opened an umbrella just in case. I climbed on top of Victor, my lips and tongue continued to his stomach, my tongue tracing around his navel. He groaned and his body stiffened. I sucked on each nipple taking my time. I reached down to fondle his balls. My lips attacked his and he responded. He was just at the breaking point. I whispered, “A little longer, babe.” I slid off and Scarlett handed me the can of whip cream, but not before spraying it in her mouth again. I grabbed it out her hand, she smiled and ran to get some champagne to wash it down.
Victor groaned and jumped as I sprayed his balls and manliness with the whip cream. I greedily devoured his balls, licking and sucking the whip cream off of each one. Victor’s body responded and he was in sheer ecstasy. When I took his manliness in my mouth, he howled so loud as he came, I worried for a brief second the goons might break the door down.
He laid paralyzed, panting, trying to catch his breath as I untied him, as soon as he was free he grabbed me and held me.
“That was fuckin’…amazing. Holy shit, babe! Fuck, I love you so much. You know that, right?” he said trying to catch his breath.
I had a huge smile on my face and Scarlett high fived me.
“Yes, Mr. Salvatore, I do. I love you more then you could ever know.”
We both drifted off to sleep. It was the deepest sleep I’d had since I became the Mob’s most wanted.
Chapter 12
I opened my eyes to the sound of waves crashing on the rocks below and a warm breeze filled the bedroom. I would never get tired of that sound. Scarlett already had her bikini on and her sunglasses and was heading to the beach. She waved over shoulder and headed out the door. I sat up and was sticky from lasts night escapade with the whip cream. Victor came in carrying a big glass of juice and fresh fruit. He was dressed in linen trousers and a short sleeve collar shirt, more casual than usual.
“The West coast suits you, Mr. Salvatore I smirked taking a sip of juice.
“That it does Miss Ellington,” he said leaning in for a kiss. “Thank you for last night, that was beyond hot.”
I giggled. “My pleasure. I got some plans for you.” I smiled devilishly.
“I bet you do. I can’t wait for what’s next,” he said kissing me. “I should be back by lunch. I want you to stay in the house until I get back. Understand?”
I used one of Scarlett’s patented pouty faces, “But I want to run on the beach and soak up the sun. It’s a private beach and you have all the goons within ear shot. I will be fine,” I said.
“Why are you giving me a hard time about this? Yes we’re safe here for the moment, but don’t think my father won’t find you. He will,” he said sternly.
“I know that.”
“Do you?”
“Of course I understand. I live it every moment of everyday. But I refuse to let it consume me. It’s a private beach surrounded with your highly trained goons. I’ll be fine.”
“I will agree, but only if Cooper is with you the entire time.”
“Okay fine,” I said with a bit more attitude than Victor cared for.
“Angelina, I’m serious about this. Don’t make me take you over my knee. If I have to in order to get my point across, I will,” he said his eyes locked onto mine dead.
“Okay, I will just stay in the damn house until you get back.” I sighed, annoyed.
“Go down to the beach and run, just have one of my men with you please. I’m not be unreasonable.”
“I know.”
“I got to go, sweetness. I love you,” he said giving me another long tongue filled kiss.
“Love you too,” I said.
I pulled on my running shorts and a sports bra, threw my hair in a ponytail and headed to find Cooper. He was waiting for me in the foyer dressed for running. I sighed in defeat. I was hoping to run alone with the goons in the distant watching me.
“I guess I have a running partner,” I said.
“I’m instructed to be by your side as long as you’re out of the house and I’m following orders this time, ma’am.” Cooper said, giving me the evil eye.
Scarlett was thrilled to have a goon tagging along on the run. She smacked her lips as she admired his muscles overflowing from his t-shirt. I slapped her hand just before she pinched his butt. She flipped me off and sulked out the door ahead of us. Cooper and I hit the beach and it was deserted. Just us and the seagulls. The beach stretched for a good mile or two, but each access was well guarded and only the residents were allowed. Any guests had to be cleared with security.
“Try to keep up,” I teased and Cooper didn’t respond.
Fifteen minutes into our run, two male figures were approaching us on the beach. Cooper darted in front of me and instructed me to stop and stay behind him. He spoke into the radio in his ear to alert the other goons as to potential danger.
I obeyed. As they got closer and closer, Cooper was in full on Special Ops mode. Scarlett was standing next to him with her oozy ready to go. I caught a glimpse of three more of Victor’s goons approaching from behind fast. As the two men were twenty-five yards out, Cooper’s stance relaxed a bit.
It was an older gentleman in his early seventies and his own goon out for a run. I heard Cooper say ten four and stand down. It was one of the neighbors, a retired entertainment lawyer who lived two estates from Victor.

; He nodded as he passed, seeming unaffected by the small army amassed on the beach because of him.
“Well that was a lot of panic for nothing,” I said. “The poor guy is probably wondering who the Hell I am!” I said.
Cooper nodded. “No Ma’am, most residents are used to the security and expect it. This is why they live here.”
I nodded and we continued our run. I attempted small talk, but Cooper wasn’t the chatty type.
Victor hired them for a specific purpose and small talk was not listed in the job description.
We reached the end of the beach and headed back to the estate, passing the older gentleman along the way. I smiled as he passed, but he didn’t speak or make eye contact.
“Okay then,” I mumbled.
Cooper shot me a look, but didn’t respond. He turned toward the gate as we returned, but I headed to the water to cool off. He sprinted toward me and grabbed my arm harder than I liked.
“Ow,” I said trying to pull my arm away from his grip. “Let go,” I snapped.
“What the hell are you doing, ma’am?” his tone was stern.
“I’m going in the water to cool off. Why is that a problem?”
“Didn’t I make myself clear when I told you I had strict orders to be by your side at all times.”
“Yes. But I thought…”
“You thought what? I can’t do my job and protect you if you constantly defy me. I’m not having you get killed because you think you don’t need to do what you’re told.”
Scarlett was officially turned on by the fact that I was getting scolded by one of the goons.
“I’m sorry. It’s not that I ignore what you tell me or defy you deliberately, it’s just that this is all new to me and there was no instruction book like ‘Hiding from the Mob For Dummies’,” I said laughing hoping to lighten the mood. No such luck.
He still had a firm grip on my arm and we headed back to Victor’s. Scarlett was body surfing as the gate crashed behind us. “Bitch,” I mumbled as I flipped her off.
