This made Gregg smile. He had never even considered going to where she was from. The idea made him thrilled. Not just for the fact that he would love to see where she grew up, but for the fact that he loved the thought of her wanting to do more things and spend even more time with him.

“That would be awesome, I would love to do that.” He told her.

“Of course, that means you’d have to spend more time with me than just this week.” She said playfully.

“Oh… well, I didn’t think of it that way. Can I have some time to think about it?” he jokingly made a face as if he were deep in consideration before replying, “Absolutely, yes.”

When they arrived at his house, she was taken aback for a moment. He was basically inviting her into his life. She felt so special. It made her hope that she could somehow make him feel just as special as he made her feel.

He grabbed the bags out of the trunk and carried them to the door.

“Let’s drop our stuff off and go grab breakfast,” he suggested as he unlocked the door.

“That sounds great, I’m starving. We missed the free breakfast at the hotel.”

This made them both laugh. He let her in and showed her around the place then dropped the bags off in his bedroom.

“I feel like I should say something cheesy like this is where the magic happens or something,” he said jokingly as he put the bags up against the wall.

“The magic, huh? When do I get to see some of this magic?” she said as she put her arms around his neck and kissed her.

He grabbed her hips and pulled her closer, the gesture felt so natural as if they had done it a thousand times before.

“I thought maybe,” he kissed her again, “I could take you out on a proper date before I showed you the magic.”

“I would love that.” She said to him. When she said this, she could see him grinning from ear to ear. Even his eyes seemed to be smiling.

“What do you want for breakfast?” he asked.

  “Anything with bacon, I think.”

“I was so hoping you’d say that! I know the perfect place.”

  …

After breakfast, he took her to a nearby park. They walked hand in hand and talked about everything they could think of. Favorite foods, movies, books, childhood friends, embarrassing moments that happened to them over the years, previous relationships. They ended up walking for hours, just talking and holding hands and enjoying each other’s company.

Walking back to the car, he asked her what time the game was.

“7:30 tonight. What time do you think we should leave?”

“Probably 6:30-ish. Just to make sure we get decent parking.”

“Plenty of time for a nap and some good lunch. We could go to the grocery store and get something to cook if you want.” She said.

“That actually sounds like a great idea.”

He held the door for her to get into the car. She paused a moment before getting into the car and then turned to him. “I think you might be perfect, Gregg.”

He smiled, and she thought she saw him blush a little bit.

“Far from it, but I was actually just thinking the same thing about you, Ashley.” Then he kissed her.

They decided on cooking spaghetti for lunch and went to the grocery store to get the ingredients. It seemed like the quickest meal they could make, and then still have time to take a nap before they needed to get ready for the game.

After they put all the groceries up back at Gregg’s house, he asked her if she wanted to lay on the couch and watch a movie. He laid down on the sofa and pulled the blanket that was folded over the back of it off and covered up with it. Then he held it up for her to come lay down next to him.

Ashley climbed under the blanket next to him and cuddled up to his chest. She could hear his heart beating, and it made her smile. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer.

“What movie do you want to watch?” he asked. He waited for several seconds, but she did not reply. He held her closer, knowing she had fallen asleep. This made him feel so good that she was comfortable enough to just lay around and take a nap with her. He felt like he wanted this in his life every day from here on out. Then he too fell asleep.

It was nearing 2:00 when they both woke up.

“I can’t believe I fell asleep like that.” She said as she sat up.

“Me, either, guess we were both worn out.” He replied.

  “Let’s make some spaghetti.”

  “Deal.” He said, smiling.

They went into the kitchen, and she started chopping up vegetables. Gregg stared at her a moment. He walked over to her and then wrapped his arms around her from behind. “You’re so beautiful.” He said to her as he hugged her.

She threw the last of the chopped vegetables into the pan and then turned to him.

“You are an amazing man.” And wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.

He tried to pull away, but she pulled him back to her, pressing her hips into his.

“Your stuff will burn if you keep that up,” he said to her, pulling her even closer and pressing his hips back towards her.

She looked back at the stove and turned the heat down as low as it would go, then turned back to him and smiled. Then she kissed him again.

He put his hands underneath her shirt as he kissed her, gently lifting it over her head. Then, in turn, she removed his shirt and wrapped her arms around his neck again to kiss him. He kissed her neck and her chest, and she could feel that heat inside her building up and driving the butterflies in her stomach crazy once again.

“Come on,” he said and then took her by the hands to the bedroom. When they walked into the room, he kissed her again, pulling her even closer to him than he did in the kitchen.

He laid her down gently onto the bed and laid on top of her. “Should we finish cooking?” he asked between kissing her.

“Don’t stop.” She said, and he slid his hand down to unbutton her pants.

He kissed down her neck and chest and then stomach as he went down to pull her pants off. The feeling he felt every time he pressed his lips to her soft skin was electric. It made warmth spread from his head all the way to his toes and filling every space in between.

After he removed her pants, he looked at her a moment, enjoying the sight of having her in his bed, before he kissed her legs on his way back up.

When he buried his face between her legs, she felt her toes curl. She instinctively put her hands on his head, and he kissed her even harder. As her legs began to shake, he had to grab her by the hips to keep her from squirming away from him. Her hands gripped the sheets as the pleasure of the moment consumed her.

He kissed up her stomach and chest, but she pushed him off her so that she could climb on top of him. Quickly she unbuttoned his pants, and he pulled them down and threw them off beside the bed.

She kissed him as she mounted him and gasped with pleasure as he entered her. The thought, not for the first time, that he must have been made for her. The way they fit together was like the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle snuggling neatly into place.

With his hands on her hips, he helped guide her on top of him. She felt his fingers gripping her tighter as the passion intensified. Her legs began to burn from the motion, but she could not stop, she could feel his excitement growing with every movement he made. Every time she pushed up, he pulled her back down, digging his fingers into her hips harder and harder.

The pleasure began to overwhelm her, and he, in one swift motion, laid her back onto her back before she could climax. Her moans filled every corner of the room as she finally did, and Gregg realized how much he loved the sound of her being pleased by him.

Once they had finished, Gregg laid there a bit longer. Ashley grabbed his t-shirt and put it on with her panties and went into the kitchen to check on the spaghetti. She tasted it and felt like it was coming along nicely and turned up the heat.

Gregg came in as she was tasting it, again and a
gain, wrapped her up into his arms. “I think I could get used to this.” He said into her ear.

  “Could you?” she asked him.

He turned her around to look into her eyes. Those bright blue pools he was becoming addicted to getting lost in. Don’t say ‘I love you’; she will think you’re a creep, he thought to himself.

“Yes, I really think I could. Could you?” he replied.

“I really think I could too. Just as long as you keep giving me that look.”

He made a confused face, “What look?”

She smiled and raised a hand to the side of his face. He leaned his face into her hand.

“That look like you think you’re falling in love with me.” She said to him.

He pulled her in closer and kissed her. Passionate and slowly, it was the only way he could keep from telling her that is precisely what he was thinking. He was afraid she might think he was crazy or weird somehow.

They sat next to each other at the table and ate their spaghetti. Ashley put her feet up in his lap under the table, and they laughed about little things.

“This is delicious, Ashley. Now I definitely would be stupid not to want to keep you around.” He said to her as he put the last bite of his spaghetti into his mouth.

“Well then, you better go ahead and claim me.” She said playfully as she got up to take her plate to the sink. She kissed him on the cheek before she went to the sink. Then she added, “I need to go take a shower and start getting ready.”

  “I probably should too.”

  “With me?” she asked.

  He smiled, “Of course.”

Hopping into the shower together seemed just as natural a gesture as everything else had become to them. They showered and stopped to kiss and wrap their arms around each other frequently. When they got out and got dressed, it was time to head out to the game.

  Chapter Six

During the hockey game, they laughed and cheered and drank beer. Ashley stopped to look at him, and he smiled at her before pulling her in and kissing her.

As the game was nearing an end, an overwhelming sensation came over her. It was supposed to be her mother in that seat. A million thoughts ran through her head. Did her mother die so she could be here with him? Was he replacing the empty spot in her heart that her mother had left? Would she have met this man, this amazing man, if her mother was still alive? She tried to swallow down all these thoughts, trying to control her breathing, so she did not have a full-blown panic attack.

After the game was over and they were walking to the car, Gregg noticed there was a change in her. The ever-smiling happy face she had worn since they got off the plane had a tinge of sorrow to it now. He stopped and pulled her close. She buried her head into his chest and began to cry. He didn’t need to ask what was wrong, he knew it was about her mother.

“Come on, let’s go home.” He said and took her by the hand.

She looked up at him, and he wiped the tears off her cheeks before kissing her.

  “Thank you.” She said.

At the house, he suggested they put in a movie and have a couple more drinks. She thought this was a fantastic idea. He poured her a drink and went to sit next to her on the couch.

“I’m sorry for… well… for crying back there. It was supposed to be a fun time, and I didn’t mean to…” she trailed off.

“You have nothing to be sorry for. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been for you losing her like that.”

“But I don’t want you to think that means I am not having fun here with you now.”

“I know that.” He said as he kissed her cheek. “Come on, let’s watch a movie.”

“If you’re really sweet, I might even let you cuddle up to me during it.” She joked.

“Oh, I think I could manage that, totally worth it.” As he said this, he pulled her down to where she was laying in front of him, both of them facing the TV. He wondered how long he would be able to sit there watching the movie before he could not help himself anymore and had to touch her.

Little did he know, she was thinking the same thing. She loved the way he made her feel so comfortable, and the way that they fit perfectly into each other’s arms. It was an amazing feeling. She wanted to enjoy every minute she had with him until she had to go back home on Wednesday.

She began to press her hips back into his. He instantly forgot anything about the movie they were watching and put his hand onto her hips to move them closer to him. She sighed lightly, and he knew exactly what she was feeling. The electricity between them was all-consuming.

He moved her hair to the side so that he could kiss her neck, rubbing every inch of her body that he could get his other hand on. Warmth began to fill her body, causing those all too familiar butterflies to stir once more. She unbuttoned her pants and slid them down off her, trying to stay where he could still kiss her neck as she did so. The feeling of warmth inside her from his lips on her neck was beyond words.

Once she had removed her pants, he reached his hand around to her stomach and pulled her closer to him. She could feel his hardness pressing against her backside as he did so. She took his hand in his and slid it down between her legs, parting them slightly so his hand would be able to have room to find its way inside of her.

He slid her panties to the side and inserted his fingers into her and let out a slight exhaling gasp as he did so as if he loved how much she seemed to be beckoning him to be inside of her. This made her want him even more.

After a few more moments, as she felt her pleasure growing, she stopped and turned to face him. He took that opportunity to take off his pants as she was repositioning towards him.

Pulling her close, he put his cock between her legs, not inside of her, but where he could enjoy the feeling with the soft skin of her thighs on him. When neither of them could bear to wait any longer, he turned her over onto her back and kissed her on the face and neck as he spread her legs with his own.

She put her hands on the sides of her face, “You’re going to get addicted if you keep this up.” She said to him softly.

He smiled at her, “I’m pretty sure that ship has already sailed.”

She returned the smile, “You’re doing it again.”

  “Doing what?”

“Making that face like you’re falling in love with me.”

He leaned down and kissed her neck again before replying, “Doesn’t sound like that’s such a bad thing.”

“It isn’t,” she said to him.

He looked at her, and an all-new feeling rushed over him. Something beyond a steamy weeklong affair, something that felt more like a forever kind of feeling. At first, he had only wondered if he was silly for thinking it, but those words ‘it isn’t’ that she uttered in his direction made him know he wasn’t the only one.

She kissed him, hard, a new passion burning inside of her, a new form of desire and need for him. He kissed her back, entering her as he did so. She dug her nails into his back, and almost instantly, her legs began to quiver as she wrapped them around him.

The intensity of the moment shifted so suddenly. It went from something that began so casually, to a more permanent type of passion. The lust turned to devotion, they were not just having sex, they were claiming each other, making each other their own, becoming one.

When they had finished, they were both breathing so heavily they thought they might never catch their breath again. No words needed to be said, the moment spoke enough on its own. After finally catching their breath somewhat, he pulled her head onto his chest and laid his head on top of hers.

“I love you too.” She whispered to him as she drifted off to sleep.

He pulled her closer, knowing she felt the same way as he did was such an amazing feeling. He drifted off to sleep with the warmth filling him from her words.

During the night, he woke her up. The couch was not the most comfortable place to end up for the entire night. “Let’s go to bed.” He said to her gently. She did not argue with
that, her back had been beginning to get a little sore from the stiffness of the couch.

To his surprise and joy, when they got into the bed, she climbed on top of him. He made love to her again, and again they were both left breathing heavily and filled with passion.

“You love me.” She whispered to him through her labored breathing.

He rolled to where they were face to face, “I do, and you love me back.”

  She kissed him. “I do.”

They fell asleep in each other’s arms again.

  Chapter Seven

In the morning, he woke up to the smell of breakfast cooking. He realized he was starving and got up and put on some shorts before going into the kitchen. When he saw here there cooking in her panties and his t-shirt, he had to stop a moment and just appreciate the view. He leaned up against the counter and let her cook.

She stood on her toes and kissed him on the cheek. “Good morning.”

  He smiled, “Morning!”

She held up the spatula to him, “Want to help me?”

“I feel like if I started helping, we might end up leaving it to burn.” He said, and they laughed.

  “You’re probably right.”

When they were eating breakfast, she asked him what he normally does on Sundays.

“Usually, I just lay around the house, dreading having to go to work in the morning. But since I’m off and you’re here, we can do whatever you want.”

“Well, I really thought that the park we walked through the other day was beautiful.” She said after considering it a moment.

  “It’s a date.” He said.

After they ate, they went to the park and took a long walk through the park. Walking together hand in hand, fingers interlaced, they took the time to appreciate every bit of their time together.

His phone rang, and as he pulled it out of his pocket and saw who the caller was, he rolled his eyes. “It’s my boss.” He said to her, then answered.

  “Hello? “

Ashley could hear his boss talking on the other line asking if he had made it back in from the business trip.
