Preslie was in the bathroom getting ready for the concert. Vikki was on her way over, so she had to hurry. She decided on a flashy outfit. It was time to wow Miles. She had this little red number that would be perfect for tonight. The dress was more like a piece of fabric it was so slinky. It scooped down low on her back and had the one strap that wrapped around her neck, so her shoulders were bare. With the straps the dress had, she had to go without a bra. She did not have huge breasts, so it worked. The dress sat about mid-thigh and she matched them with very tall black pumps. The best part of the outfit, she was going commando. Miles would have a heart attack when he discovered nothing was under her dress. She had her hair twisted up and curls falling around her face. She stood back and looked in the mirror. She was excited to surprise Miles with her little get-up. She loved dressing up. This time was different because there was something fun about dressing up for your man. The last few days she had worked twelve hour shifts, so she ended up staying at her place because it was easier. They both had talked on the phone or sent text messages. She was excited to see him tonight though.
Just then her doorbell rang. She walked out to the hallway to answer the door and took one last look in her mirror. When she opened it Vikki’s eyes went wide. “Holy shit! Preslie you look amazing. Okay do a full turn, I have got to see the whole package.” She then whistled as Preslie twirled. “Sweets, your man will faint. We should bring our medical bag.” They both burst out laughing. Preslie grabbed her purse and looped her arm in Vikki's.
The moment they entered the bar, all eyes were on them. Vikki was gorgeous too and had on a skimpy dress. With both walking side by side, it would make for an interesting night. They rounded the corner and almost bumped into Seth. He went to say something funny but was distracted by how beautiful they both looked. “Wow. I think that’s all I have right now...yup, speechless.”
Vikki laughed. “And this doesn’t happen often?” She then looked around, hoping to see Miles’ reaction the moment he saw Preslie. Sure enough, he was sitting at the end of the bar. His mouth was almost to the floor. “Look to your right.”
Preslie glanced over and smiled. She walked toward her handsome man. “Hey, stranger.”
Miles had no words, all he wanted to do was ravage her. “Princess, you look fucking amazing.” He pulled her in and whispered. “Am I allowed to say what I want to do to you right now?”
“Sure. Something to look forward to.” She leaned in and kissed him.
He moaned. “Oh fuck baby, what you do to me. I hope there isn’t much to getting that little number off? It needs to be off the moment you enter my home.” Then he looked down. “But the pumps stay on.” He rubbed his hand down her back. “I’m already hard at the thought you have no bra on.”
She fanned herself. “Oh the way you talk to me.” Then she moved closer so she could feel his arousal. “I missed you.”
“Me too.” He kissed her nose. “We need to talk about sleeping arrangements soon.” Then he stepped back and smacked her ass. “Sexy as hell, baby.” He looked over at Vikki. “Hey there, looking hot yourself. Do you two ladies need a drink?”
“You two know how to heat up a room.” She winked at Preslie. “I’ll take a Dirty Martini, extra dirty please.”
Preslie paused, trying to decide what she wanted for a drink. “How about a Stoli Doli? If they don’t have that, a Mojito.”
He smiled and walked over to place their order. Ricky was sitting at the end of the bar talking with Frankie. He glanced over at Preslie and Vikki. “You two look amazing.” He was staring a little too long at Vikki, but then he turned away and never said a word.
Vikki gave a questioned glance in Preslie's direction. They both agreed that was weird and walked to where two seats were available at the bar. A few minutes later the bartender sat the Stoli Doli and Dirty Martini in front of them. Miles snuck up behind Preslie and moved hair away from her neck to pepper light kisses. You could see Preslie shiver. “We’re off, have fun ladies.” He leaned in and kissed her.
Vikki fanned herself. “That man can’t get enough of you.”
Preslie cleared her throat. “I’m having difficulty, too. My insides may explode soon.”
Vikki raised her hand to the bartender. When he made his way over. “We need two shots, something strong and delicious.”
They both ended up spending the better part of the evening sitting at the bar. With their high-heels they knew they wouldn’t be able to dance without embarrassing themselves. They had their chairs facing the stage and sipped on their cocktails. At one point Preslie stood closer to the stage, so Vikki followed behind weaving in and out of the crowd. Preslie found a spot right in front and with a perfect view of Miles. Again, Ricky was staring at Vikki but would look away. Miles couldn’t take his eyes off Preslie. Andrea, Jonie, and Kim were waving to Preslie to join them. She turned to Vikki and grabbed her hand and they walked around to head up the stage. Andrea pulled Preslie close and gave her a big hug. Jonie had Vikki stand in between her and Kim.
When the song ended, Preslie reached for Andrea's hand. “We don’t know what we’re doing though?”
“Fake it, baby. Nobody cares if you two can sing. They're just enjoying you two.”
Just then the next song started, and the girls had to sing. Somehow Preslie and Vikki caught on and had a blast. By the time the show was over, they both were pumped and having so much fun. They all five bowed and then hugged each other.
Andrea turned to Vikki. “You need to come to practice sometime with Preslie.” She squeezed Preslie’s hand. “It’s so much fun singing with you.”
Miles was wiping his head with a towel, then wrapped it around his neck. He walked over to the ladies. “So, do I have five backup singers now?” He winked. “Andrea, you are sneaky.”
Andrea just shrugged and headed to the back room. Preslie and Vikki were left standing there. Vikki looked over at Ricky putting away his guitar. He had a way with his movements that were very calculated and precise. She shook her head. “Hey Miles, what’s Ricky story?”
Preslie sighed. “That is a long story to tell.”
“It is a long story. We’ve been friends for years. Why?”
Vikki shrugged. “He looks my way, then seems shy and turns away. I would love to talk to him, but I have a feeling that would be a bad decision.”
Miles nodded. “He wants to settle down and maybe grow up some. He’s been burned many times though. I’m sure he has no clue who he can trust. Just give him some time.”
“I wasn’t going to ask him for a marriage proposal. I wanted to know a little more about him.” She turned and walked away.
Miles didn’t know what to say. “That’s my Vikki for ya," Preslie said stepping closer and grabbing a hold of either side of his towel. Then she pulled him closer. “Now, about the sleeping arrangements.”
He had a slight smile on his face and grabbed her around her waist. “Well, I like the idea of you staying with me all the time.”
Preslie felt uncomfortable. “Um, maybe. Let me think about it, okay?” She wasn’t for sure if she was ready to move in with him yet. The thought about gave her a mini heart attack. “I would however love to stay with you tonight, if you’ll have me?”
He squeezed her waist. “Hell ya, I can’t wait to see what’s under this gorgeous get up.”
She winked. “Do you love surprises?”
He kissed her tenderly. “Sometimes. Should I be ready for a surprise tonight?”
When they arrived back at his place, she wanted her pumps off. Instead, she left them on for Miles, dropped her keys and purse on a little table by the door. Then she reached up and removed the bobby pins from her hair that were poking from all sides. When her hair was freed of the confines, she sighed. She glanced over to find Miles staring at her. “What?” She was smiling as she headed toward him. “Need something?”
“I need several things. The first being you free from that dress.”
“Hmmmm…demanding,
aren’t we?” Then she reached her hands back and unfastened her strap around her neck. When it was free, she let it drop below her perfect breasts. Then stopped and looked at him under heavy lidded eyes. She sighed, then moved the dress over her hips and let it fall to the floor. She stood there in nothing but her black pumps.
He sucked in a breath. “You mean to tell me you went commando under there? Oh, princess.” He made his way toward her and picked her up around her waist. She let out a squeal the moment he threw her over his shoulder and headed toward his bedroom.
When he got to his room, he let her down. He gave her a once over. “Yeah, you need to leave the pumps on. There is something erotic about a woman in high heels.” He unbuttoned his shirt. “I want you, and now.”
“I think we better do something about that then, Mr. Callahan.” She reached up and grabbed his hands to stop him, then she took over unbuttoning his shirt. Once the last button was undone, she smoothed her hands up his chest and pushed his shirt off his shoulders. She moved her hands back down his chest and traced his happy trail with one fingertip. “So.” Then she unbuttoned and unzipped his pants. She reached her hands back and fanned her hands over his ass. After enjoying the feel of his skin on hers, she moved his jeans down his body. Every movement she made was sexual and heated. She had to kneel to get his jeans off and oh look there was something waiting for her. In the kneeling position, she smoothed her hands back up his legs and over his back side. Her eyes were glued to his with every movement she made. Finally, she peeled her eyes away and looked at what was waiting for her. She loved how gorgeous he was and so beautiful when erect. Reaching her hand forward and moving it up and down. She moved her mouth over him and moaned. God, she loved doing this to him. Being able to pleasure a man in this way was also erotic for the woman. Her body was feeling the effects of touching him in this way, so she reached down and pleasured herself in need of a release.
Miles almost died inside watching Preslie touch herself. The woman about slayed him. “Preslie?”
She ignored him and continued to enjoy every feeling flowing through her body. She could feel her orgasm surface, so she increased every movement. When she increased her movements on Miles, he sucked in a breath. Then he got harder. They both were about to come at the same moment. She squeezed her eyes shut as her orgasm took over her body but she never let up the movements over Miles. He wanted to grab her and pull her up but she protested. Then seconds later he yelled out his release. He grabbed a hold of her shoulders for support. She never lost contact with him and enjoyed every drop of his release.
She smiled and leaned back on her heels. “Holy shit, can we do that again?”
He shook his head and reached down to pulled her up. “Princess, you can do that anytime. Wow, you seem to keep surprising me tonight.”
They walked to the bed and fell on it together, laughing the whole way down. Miles wrapped his arms around her and pulled her on top of him. “You drive me crazy.”
She giggled. “A good crazy I hope?” She reached her hands up and traced his lips, his jaw, then leaned in and kissed him tenderly. “If it’s any consolation, you are driving me crazy, too.”
They spent the better part of the night finding new ways to pleasure each other. One thing Miles discovered about Preslie, she tried just about anything.
Sleep would be last on their list.
The sun was shining through the window and right in Preslie’s eyes. She scrunched up her body and pulled the covers up over her face. Miles chuckled. “Not much of a morning person, eh?”
She moaned under the covers. “Well, I need over two hours of sleep to function. Hopefully coffee will help in this situation.” She turned to face him. “So, is it true that cops love coffee and donuts?”
He tickled her side. “Really? I guess some do and some don’t. I love coffee but I'm not much of a donut guy. I wouldn’t want to mess up my girlish figure.” He kissed her nose. “Is it true about nurses, they love coffee and tons of pastries?”
Preslie smacked his chest. “Maybe.” Then she got antsy and moved in his embrace. She loved the soft feeling of their bodies together. “You make it hard to get up. Like literally.” Then she reached down in between them and grabbed a hold of his growing erection. “What should we do about this?”
“This.” Then Miles pushed her onto her back and settled between her legs. He entered her inch by inch. After the insatiable night they had just experienced, he wanted to take things slow. Unfortunately, yeah, that didn’t happen. He was growing harder insider her, and she was getting more aroused by the second. They both held on to each other and moved together faster and faster. Somehow, they came at the exact moment. Once the effects of the orgasm passed through, they slumped into each other’s arms.
Preslie giggled. “I can’t get enough of you.” She smacked his ass and snuck out from underneath him. She got off the bed and glanced back. “Breakfast?”
He was still lying on the bed face down. “Yes.”
She grabbed one of his tees and headed toward the kitchen. Miles sighed and stood to grab a t-shirt and boxers. He walked into the kitchen and stopped dead in his tracks. His kids were standing by the kitchen island and the babysitter was sitting on a barstool.
Preslie looked toward Miles. “Kylie here just knocked as I was heading into the kitchen. I hope it was okay I answered the door?”
“Yeah, sure.” His kids were not supposed to be dropped off for another two hours. “Hey, sorry, we weren’t expecting you for another few hours. Everything okay?”
“Yeah, totally. Angie asked me to drop Gracie and Jack off. I guess she had to be somewhere, so needed you to take them early.”
He cursed under his breath. “Do you know if she tried to call here?” He looked at his kids just standing there looking confused. “Hey you two, sorry, we were just getting up. I had a concert last night.”
Gracie gave a half smile. “You did. Did you do good, Daddy?” She walked toward him. “Momma said you wouldn’t care if we came early?”
He knelt down. “Of course I don’t care, baby. I feel bad we’re not showered and ready to play. I love that I get extra time with you both.”
Preslie was feeling like the odd man out. She was sitting in a chair at the kitchen table. The babysitter was non-stop glancing in her direction, then would look away. Preslie was feeling increasingly uncomfortable by the second.
Jack pointed at Preslie. “Is that your new friend you were telling us about, Daddy?”
Miles grabbed Jack’s hand. “Don’t point, Jack. It’s not nice to point.” He nodded. “Yes, that’s my new friend.” He could tell Preslie seemed uncomfortable. “Want breakfast with us?” He stood back up and turned to Kylie. “We’ll be here all day, so you can enjoy a day off.”
She nodded, gave a dirty look aimed at Preslie and left. Miles shook his head. “Sorry, Preslie. She is still grieving over her Uncle’s death. Her Uncle was killed the same day I was injured.”
“I understand. I hope she’s doing okay?” It still didn’t give the girl the right to be grumpy toward Preslie. Hell, she didn’t even know the girl. Kylie was young though, so she had to take that into consideration. She stood. “I need to get a shower and take care of a few things at my house today. Would it be a bother to run me home?”
“Not a bother at all. You can spend the day with us.” Miles placed his hands on the top of Gracie and Jack's heads. “Right, kids?”
They were not excited about the news. “Sure, Daddy," Gracie said and glanced down to kick a piece of food on the floor.
Jack was moving back and forth from the balls of his feet all the way to his heels. “Daddy, I thought you would spend the day with us?” Gracie reached forward and shhhh’d her brother.
Preslie headed toward the bathroom to take a shower, it almost felt like she was taking the walk of shame at that moment. When she got to the bathroom, she closed the door and sat down on the edge of the tub. She put her hands over her face and fought like hell to n
ot cry. One minute she was thinking about the future with Miles, the next minute she wanted to run and hide somewhere far away. His kids were not a fan of her and the babysitter, fuck. She turned on the shower, then made sure it was good and hot. Turning toward the mirror, she took off her shirt and just looked at herself. She was pretty, okay sure. But now she had stab wounds on her side and scars on her neck and face. She was damaged goods. Could she find love? Was she too afraid to love? Maybe that was it, she was too afraid. For Miles, he wore his heart on his sleeve. He was loving, kind, and would do anything for anyone. The problem, he had kids and a crazy ex-wife. Was she prepared to get in the middle of all that? Would he want to love another person? She sighed and stepped into the shower letting the water run down her back. She tipped her head back and let the warm water hide her tears. What had she done? She fell for a man who was not ready to love.
She was trying to keep calm, but it was difficult. Which was why she didn’t hear Miles walk into the bathroom. The moment he pulled back the shower curtain, she jumped and put a fake smile on her face. He stood there looking at her and could see her eyes were red. He peeled off his shirt and boxers and stepped into the shower. He grabbed a hold of her and didn’t let go. At first, she stood there motionless, then she wrapped herself around him. She buried her face in his chest and cried.
He never let her go. He wanted to help her, be there for her. Fuck, he wanted to take all her pain away. He pulled her back. “Baby, what’s wrong? If it’s my kids, they are just shy. Give them some time.”
“Your kids are beautiful. I feel out of place and awkward right now.” Brushing her hair back and looking up into those piercing blue eyes. “I’m sorry.”
“I didn’t plan to be in our pjs still when they arrived. This morning didn't start off the way I planned." Then he leaned down and kissed her tenderly. “Now everything is messed up. Fucking Angie and her bullshit.” He sighed. “I checked my phone and she never called to tell me they would be dropped off early.”
