Princess and the Puck (McKenzie Cousins Book 6) Page 6

by Lexi Buchanan

“I can’t remember,” I admit. “Although, if I heard her name then it might come back to me.”

“Do you want some eggs or not?” Jaxon glares.

Grinning, I reply, “Yes, I want eggs, so I promise to have permanent amnesia on the topic.”

“You better,” he grumbles, shoving a plate of eggs and buttered toast in front of me.

Dylan eats quietly, deep in thought before he lets out a loud sigh. “I can’t think of anyone. You always have your head buried in the books, or you’re on the ice.”

Jaxon smirks. “I know.” He turns to me. “Is Seth bringing you to practice tomorrow?”

“He is, and I remember the ice bunnies, so don’t worry. I’m prepared.” I eat more of my meal, wondering if I really am ready for them. The girls who hang around the ice rink can be vicious with their words when you throw a kink in their plans. Seth and my cousins have always been favorites with the girls, along with most of the team if I’m honest.

“Don’t worry about them.” Dylan cleans his plate off with the last of his toast. “We’ll be there too, so you’ll be fine.” He smirks. “In fact, we’ll make sure you are.”

I raise a brow and look between my cousins. “Why does that make me nervous?”

“I have no idea,” Dylan drawls moving to the sink, so I glare at Jaxon who grins.

“Oh, I forgot to tell you both,” Dylan adds, “Mom and Dad are going to be in town in a few days, so we’re all going out to dinner. Mom is desperate to spend time with Seth.” He shudders. “Do not take her on when she starts interrogating you about my life.”

“Why would she want to interr—oh!” I grin so wide that I start laughing. “She wants all the details on your love life, huh?” I frown. “Well, I haven’t lived with you long enough to know anything about it, so I think you’re safe this time around. Next time though—” I let my words hang, adding, “I bet Jaxon and Seth know all about it.”

“Hey, there’s a man code in this apartment, and that applies to you now too, since you’re living here,” Dylan grouches. “There are consequences to breaking it too!” He snaps his fingers in front of my face, laughing.

“What am I missing,” Seth asks tossing his bag on the sofa while kicking the door closed.

I itch to throw myself into his arms, but instead I wait and smile when he dips his head to kiss me. “It’s nice coming home and having you here,” he admits.

Jaxon and Dylan start mimicking us making loud kissing noises, until Jaxon shoves Dylan away. “I prefer blondes.”

Laughing, Dylan kisses Seth on the cheek in a loud noise before backing toward his bedroom. “Oh and Jaxon, blonde, huh?”

Jaxon tosses a plastic beaker in response, which misses Dylan and slams into the bedroom door.

  “Geez, children.” I chuckle.

I glance toward Jaxon and notice the frown currently on his face while he cleans up his mess in the kitchen. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my cousin so glum before. Whatever is bothering him is more than his usual teasing can cover up.

“Hey,” Seth whispers into my ear. “I think now is a good time to sneak into the bedroom.”

Smiling softly, I cup his jaw. “You need something to eat first.”

“Don’t worry about me. The Prof had sandwiches and cakes left over from an earlier meeting so I helped myself.” He grins. “I also have a cake in my bag.” He kisses me on the nose and retrieves a plastic tub from his bag.

He snags my hand as he walks past and takes me into the bedroom.

“How am I going to eat the cake without a fork?” I take the container from his hands and peel back the lid.

Seth moves in behind me. “I was planning on using my fingers to spread the cream and sponge over your nipples, and lower...” He nibbles on my earlobe. “Mix the cream on the cake with the cream between your legs.”

I catch my breath as images rush through my head affecting my body the same way Seth is reacting. His rigid penis already pushes against my bottom through his jeans and my yoga pants. I push back, rotating my ass against him. “I could cover your cock with the cream and suck it off.”

Seth groans. “I’m going to burst out of my jeans with that image.”

  “Get naked Seth.”

Getting hard behind the cup in my shorts is something I would never advise. Not even the pinch of skin and hair helps the erection wanting freedom. It’s my own damn fault for remembering last night with Paige. Her body had been spread out, a feast waiting for my mouth, just like my cock had been, covered in thick cream from the cake.

Hoping no one is looking, I quickly adjust the cup, wincing at the pinch of skin that gets caught. I glance over to the stands where Paige watches the practice, just as I hear, “Heads up, Reynolds,” too late to do anything about the puck that whacks me on the back of the head. I lose momentum and fly forward, landing with a thud on the ice. My vision blurs and I’m sure if I were in a cartoon I’d have Tweetie pie spinning around my head.

Jaxon is the first to reach me and goes down onto his knees, rolling me to my back. I slam my eyes shut willing the damn yellow bird to disappear, so I can focus.

“Thank fuck you had your helmet on,” Jaxon mutters, bending closer to look into my eyes. “I can’t believe you made a rookie mistake,” he scoffs. “Distracted by a girl. My cousin too, you asshole.”

“Jaxon! Leave him alone or I’ll tell your mother you need your mouth washing out,” Paige says, nudging him out of the way to hover over me. “Seth, are you okay? That was a hell of a whack.”

I grin. “My heads as hard as yours babe.” Trying to sit up doesn’t work too well as my vision swims before straightening out.

“ER for you Reynolds,” Coach orders. “Now.”

“I’ll take him.” Dylan skates up and rolls his eyes. “First day back on the ice and you do this.”

Paige takes my hand when I hold it out, but she isn’t strong enough to haul me to my feet. Dylan and Jaxon both take an arm, hauling me up and into Paige’s waiting arms. “You need to get changed first.”

“No way are you helping him, we’ll never get there.” Jaxon shudders. “I seriously don’t want to think about what you both could get up to in there.”

“Seriously, Jaxon?” Paige smirks. “I don’t mind describing every single detail for you.”

He looks appalled. “The girls in my family freak me out.” Jaxon looks to Seth. “You okay if I shoot off?”

“Go,” he groans, “your cousin is going to take very good care of me.”

He gives me the finger before skating off.

“I’ll be fine, Paige.” I grin. “At least I will be when I stop seeing two of you.”

She groans. “Dylan, you take him to the locker room. I’ll wait outside. Don’t be too long as we need to go.”

  “I know. I’m on it.”

It turns out that I have a mild concussion and if I want to go home, Paige has to wake me throughout the night. Neither of us have a problem with that, although I think we both have different ideas as to how the waking up will happen.

“Will you take your hand off my bottom,” Paige says, trying to sound exasperated, even though a smile is trying to split her lips.

“You like my hands on your bottom,” I remind her, getting a raised brow in response to my teasing. “You like my mouth there too.” I grin as she slaps a hand over my mouth.

“Dylan,” she whispers, “is in the next room and the doors are open.”

Rolling my eyes, I point out, “I can assure you that Dylan is no virgin. I can’t even begin to count the number of girls he’s brought back here.”

Her eyes widen in surprise. “Are you trying to tell me my cousin is a manwhore?”

“Shout it louder, babe. I’m not sure they heard you down the block.”

“Don’t believe everything out of his drugged mouth,” Dylan drawls, a frown on his face.

“I don’t think he’s lying, Dylan.” Paige looks toward her cousi
n. “I guess Rachel and I missed a lot of what our cousin gets up to.” She narrows her gaze. “Jaxon?”

Dylan smirks, straightening in the doorway. Paige turns her gaze to me but all I can do is grin like an idiot even though my head is pounding. “Ask him,” I suggest. “He isn’t here to defend himself.”

“Dylan is here but he isn’t defending himself.”

“He can’t if it’s true, now can he?” I roll to my side, groaning. “I need painkillers and sleep.”

“I’ll get the meds.” Dylan turns and leaves us alone.

I catch hold of Paige’s wrist. “Please lie down with me. I promise to keep my hands from your deliciously round bottom.”

“Hmm.” Paige runs into the bathroom and a few minutes later comes out wearing her sleep shorts and vest top. “I’ve already set the alarm to wake me every hour.” She sighs. “We can stay in bed tomorrow, right?”

Spooning around her, I mumble, “I love your suggestion.” I let my hand stray and capture a nice round, plump breast. “I didn’t say anything about your tits, babe.”

“I might have to punch you,” Dylan grumbles, delivering the meds along with a glass of water. “I’m leaving two for during the night as well.” He places everything down on the night table. “I really don’t want to come in here again.” He closes the door as he slips out.

“I thought it would be more awkward having my cousins here while I’m living with you, but it isn’t. It’s a bit weird, but I want to be with you, so I’m ignoring it rather than letting it bother me.” Turning in my arms, Paige wraps hers around me, caressing one side of my face. “I love you, Seth. I’m not sure I can survive without you.” Her fingers brush over my lips.

“You’ll never have to find out.” I nibble on the tip of her fingers before kissing her palm. “I love you too, Paige.” I smile softly. “It feels good being able to tell you how I feel, knowing you won’t throw it back in my face.”

She cups my face. “I’d never do that. Never Seth.” Her face nuzzles into my neck while I hold her close. “I’ll see you in an hour, babe,” I whisper, allowing sleep to claim me.

  Paige

Uncle Sebastian and Aunt Carla are still as in love as I’m sure they were when they’d first met. It always fills my heart with warmth when I see them together, the same as it does when I’m around the rest of my family. Dylan of course finds it embarrassing that his parents can’t keep their hands off of each other.

I smirk when I notice Dylan wince and he gives me a death glare, which of course makes my smile wider. “So, Dylan,” I grin, “any new girlfriends lately?”

Aunt Carla laughs, patting my hand. “Stop teasing him, tell me how you’re doing now that you’re back in Boston.” She glances at Seth, which is who she really wants to talk about, but it too polite to just come out and say so.

Uncle Sebastian doesn’t have a problem. “I want to know about Seth, and where Paige is sleeping in a three-bedroom apartment, with all the bedrooms already in use?” Uncle Sebastian glares at Seth.

Aunt Carla takes his hand and reaches up, kissing him on the cheek. “Don’t be embarrassing.”

His face softens when he looks at his wife. “I’m only looking out for her.”

She smiles and takes the focus away from Uncle Sebastian’s comment. “Paige dear, how are you doing?”

Sighing in relief, I slip my hand into Seth’s under the table. “I’m doing well, and I’m discovering my love for Boston all over again.” I smile at Seth. “Seth, Dylan, and Jaxon make sure I eat well, and Seth makes sure I take my meds at the right time, and that I get enough sleep.” I look between my Aunt and Uncle. “I really am doing well here with Seth.”

“She’s my everything.” Seth’s smile reaches his eyes before facing my Aunt and Uncle. “She really is doing well.” He kisses my hand.

“I’m so glad.” Aunt Carla smiles at Seth. “Now that Madison is married, I’m wanting all my babies settled.” She pointedly looks at her son who squirms in his seat.

My eyes alight with mirth when Dylan meets my gaze, his eyes narrowing as I open my mouth. I smile sweetly, letting him think I’m about to drop him in it with his mom, except, I say, “Last I heard, Madison is beyond happy.”

“She is,” Aunt Carla sighs. “I knew from the start that they were both attracted to each other, and I wondered how it would all work out.” She smiles and holds Sebastian’s hand tightly. “Derek’s age never bothered me because I could see that he was a good man, and all I wanted for my daughter was to find someone who would love her as much as Sebastian loves me.”

“You’re going to make me cry.” I dab at my eyes and have Seth kiss me on the cheek while dabbing my face with a napkin.

“You okay?” Seth smiles while Dylan makes a rude noise.

  Uncle Sebastian raises a brow.

“Sorry,” Dylan mumbles. “All this talk about settling down and Madison is giving me the hives.”

Seth laughs. “I bet it is.” He carries on chuckling.

Knowing Uncle Sebastian, the twinkle in his eye means he’s going to ask another interesting question, I again change the subject. “How long are you in Boston for?”

Aunt Carla pats his arm with a smirk on her face. “You have a way with shutting your uncle up,” she comments. “Just a few days. I much prefer Boston for shopping than anywhere else, apart from home that is.”

“Any excuse to check on her baby boy,” Uncle Sebastian adds.

“I don’t need an excuse to visit Dylan.” She huffs. “Do I?” Glaring at Dylan she waits.

“Mom, you and Dad are well aware that I love to see you as often as you want.” He shakes his head. “You also know I’m serious.”

  “You’re a good boy.”

Dylan grimaces at his mother’s words.

Seth snickers. “Oh yeah, he’s a real good boy.” He grins, and Dylan narrows his eyes at him. I smoother a laugh with a cough.

Aunt Carla laughs, enjoying putting Dylan on the spot, and adds, “You are aware that if you had a girlfriend I could meet then you’d be off the hook. I could concentrate on her for a change.”

“Mom,” Dylan groans. “I’m too young to settle down.”

“He’s enjoying playing the field too much,” I comment, and snicker. “It’s true,” I add when he shoots a glance my way. “Besides, how is he supposed to find the right girl for him if he doesn’t sample, um, others first?”

“I think you need to occupy your mouth with food, Paige,” Dylan states.

  Aunt Carla winks.

“I often suggested that to Carla.” Uncle Sebastian wiggles his brows at his wife and my gaze snaps to Dylan who pauses mid-chew.

Dylan shudders. “Dad, I seriously don’t want to hear anything about you and Mom. It isn’t right. Parents don’t have sex.” In all seriousness, he continues with his meal.

I glance at Seth and snicker, my amusement stretching when I see the frown on Uncle Sebastian’s face. Aunt Carla offers him a smile and a wink. She concentrates on her meal and smiles. “Ignore the boys. Tell me how Rachel and Alexander are doing? And you saw Joshua, right? Lily worries about her boy.”

“My sister and Alex are well, and I’m happy to see them together.” I wince slightly. “I hate myself for how I was to begin with. I really do love them both.”

Aunt Carla reaches across the table and takes my hand. “They both know that you meant well, Paige. And that’s all in the past.” She smiles. “Joshua?”

I swallow back emotion, which causes Aunt Carla to pause. “Joshua looks well.” I smile. “He hugged me hard and struggled to let go. He’s busy from what he said.” I leave out that I thought Joshua had a lot on his mind.

“I knew he’d end up in law enforcement. Always had handcuffs in his pocket,” Uncle Sebastian says.

“I wonder if he still does.” Dylan smirks.

Rolling my eyes, I add, “Considering he’s a Fed, it’s guaranteed.”

  “Stop spoiling my fun, Pa
ige.” Dylan wags his finger in my face.

Seth knocks it away. “Don’t be an ass.” He shakes his head. “You can have all your fun at the club later.”

“Club?” Uncle Sebastian’s ear pick up. “We haven’t been to a club in…forever.”

“And we’re not going to one tonight. I have plans.”

Aunt Carla certainly shut her husband up.

The rest of the meal is eaten in much the same way and two hours later we’re in the nightclub near our apartment that the guys love. Jaxon can’t meet us here though because he isn’t twenty-one yet. Luckily, he isn’t too bothered about it.

I love the dark dance floor as bodies writhe together to the beat of the music, no one paying too much attention to anyone but themselves.

My arms are currently locked around Seth’s neck and my body is plastered against his, and every sway presses me closer to his groin. His hands slip down my body, resting on my butt. “I want you,” he groans into my ear.

I wrap a leg around his hip and grind on the hard bulge pressing for entrance into my body. His hands squeeze my flesh, holding me tightly against him, helping me rock.

“I want you too, Seth,” I whisper and bite his lobe. “Right here. Right now.” My lips travel down his neck, licking and biting. “Fuck me, Seth.”

He trembles, breathing heavily. “Let’s go back to the apartment.”

My hand flutters between us and before he has chance to know what I plan, I have his zipper down and his cock pulsing in my hand.

  “Paige,” he hisses.

I breathe against his lips. “I want you inside me right now, Seth. I ache to have you filling me.”

  “Oh God!.”

My hand gently strokes along his shaft, my thumb pressing over the wet crown. “I want to be naughty.”

I quickly turn and press my butt against him, feeling his penis settle between the cheeks of my bottom. I frantically rub and quiver when I feel his hands slipping under my short dress, moving up my thighs. A hand slips to my bottom and he moves my panties to the side, slipping a finger between my swollen pussy.
