He’d DP’d her, pressing a dildo in her arse as he took her. He’d cum on her body. He’d used her in every way possible but he’d always respected her. Never at any point had the night felt sordid. Her pussy clenched at the memory of him cradling her, sliding his cock into her abused holes, telling her how hot and wet she was.
As she peaked, she opened her eyes. Her heart jolted into her throat as she caught sight of a figure in jeans and a light t-shirt. The stage lights were too bright for her to make out who it was but she watched him stride out the entrance, convinced of one thing as her orgasm claimed her. It was Jett.
Only he’d have the balls to wear casual clothes into a club with such a strict policy. And he’d be one of the few the owners would let get away with it. Had he been watching her? Did he regret that they never tried another night together as much as she? Had that one night been the start of a potentially amazing relationship? God, she was so confused.
Ethan straightened the x-frame and released her as a ripple of applause sounded. He gave her a look of concern. “You okay, babe? You didn’t seem all there tonight.”
“I’m fine.” She smiled reassuringly as she slipped on her robe. “Just tired.”
“That ex of yours isn’t hassling you still, is he?”
“No, all quiet now. Think he got the message.”
Ethan nodded slowly and gave her an affectionate pat on the cheek. “Well, if you need anything, let me know.”
“Thanks, Ethan.”
She winced at the look of pity in his gaze as she strolled off the stage. Was it so obvious she was hurting? And not just from Ethan’s spanking. She missed Jett. One night with him and she missed him. Grace slumped into the dressing table chair and grabbed a face wipe. Swiping at her make-up, she grimaced as she eyed the circles under her eyes. Even her mother and Beth had noticed her foul mood. Poor Beth. She really didn’t deserve a grumpy mother.
And she should be happy. She’d not seen Greg since that night. Whatever Jett had done, whatever he’d threatened, it had clearly worked. Her loser of an ex was out of her life for good. She should be over the moon. Now she and Beth could get on with their life. Except it still felt like something was missing.
Grace changed into her jeans and jumper and flung her coat on before fetching her bag from the lockers. She fished out her phone as she nodded goodbye to the security guys on the backdoor and jabbed at it. Shit. Twelve missed calls from her mother. Was Beth ill? She was about to call back when she realised she’d left her a voicemail.
A chill swept through her and it had nothing to do with the cold weather and everything to do with the person propped against her car as she strode across the carpark. Jett greeted her with a twisted grin, looking at ease in his jeans and a worn leather jacket.
Her mother’s voice came through on her mobile and she froze. A sick twisting sensation echoed through her as she listened.
“Grace, you need to come home,” he mother’s voice wavered. “Beth’s gone. Greg took her. He just burst in and snatched her. I-I was half asleep. I thought it was you knocking. I-I’ve called the po—“
The phone clattered to the ground as her body went numb, the agony in her chest making it impossible to hold onto it. Jett was by her side in an instant as he scooped up the phone and snatched her hand.
“What’s going on, Gracie?”
Her hand shook in his, tears bit at her eyes. “I-I need to get home. I can’t talk, Jett.” She tore her hand from his and pushed past him. “Greg’s got Beth,” she spilled out as he followed after her.
A palm came to her shoulder and he forced her to stop. “Wait.”
“Jett, get the fuck off me!” She twisted him away from him, swiping the tears from eyes. Her pulse pounded, palms grew sticky. Her baby was in the hands of that arsehole. Her worst nightmare had come true.
“Come on my bike.” He quickly shadowed her steps. “It will be quicker. Besides I think I know where he’s going.”
Grace blinked up at him. “You do?”
“Yeah.” He shoved his hands in his jeans pockets. “The airport. Gatwick. After I made a few threats, I bought him a one way ticket to Ireland. He was meant to get out of your life for good.” He clenched his jaw.
“Oh God he’s taking Beth to Ireland? I won’t see her again.”
“You will. Come on.”
Jett took her hand and hurriedly led her to his bike. It was a big black shiny thing. It looked lethal. It looked like Jett. At any other time she might have refused to get on it but it would be quicker. Jett shoved a helmet on her head and snapped it under her chin.
She shuddered as he climbed on and started it up, the roar of the engine almost deafening. The taut muscles that played under her fingertips as she wrapped her arms about his waist leant her a little reassurance. Jett was here.
They made quick work of the early morning streets. Thank God it wasn’t rush hour or they’d have no chance. Would Beth be scared? She hadn’t seen Greg in a long time. Did she even remember her dad? Grace closed her eyes behind the visor of her helmet and willed her heart to slow its racing pace.
But her heart’s pounding increased as she saw the signs for Gatwick. A few planes flew overhead, their lights flashing in the dark and she squeezed her eyes shut and begged to see Beth again. She gripped Jett’s t-shirt and focused on the warmth of his stomach under his jacket, trying to absorb all the comfort he provided.
When they pulled up to the terminal, Jett turned the bike into a parking space and jumped off, helping her off. She fumbled with her helmet and he unclipped it for her, hanging them both over the handles before snatching her hand. She recognised the airline signs as one of the Irish ones as they dashed through the sliding doors and up to the counter.
They both paused and studied the line of waiting passengers but Greg was nowhere to be seen. Someone muttered a swear word as they pushed their way in front of the waiting queue but Jett gave them a glare as the clerk started up at him, wide eyed. Thank God she had this strong, intimidating man on her side.
“S-sir, you need to go to the back of the queue.” The clerk reached for the phone on her desk.
“Listen, there is a child in danger.” He smacked his palm on the counter. “Has a man come through here? Blond? Scruffy? With a young girl… how old?” He turned to Grace.
“Seven. She’s seven. With dark hair, like mine. Please, he’s trying to kidnap her.”
The clerk gulped and darted a glance around at the other desk clerks. “I’m sorry, I haven’t—”
“I saw them, I think,” a dark haired lady interrupted. “Sent them through about ten minutes ago.”
“Oh God.” Grace felt the blood drain from her body.
“Call security,” Jett ordered as he snatched Grace’s hand and dragged her toward passport control.
Thankfully the airport was quieter than usual due to the early hour but they still had to push past several people. Grace’s heart leaped in her throat as she spotted a shaggy blond head.
“Jett, that’s him.” She couldn’t see Beth behind the line of people waiting to hand over their passport but it was definitely Greg. They’d obviously just gone through. Grip tight on Jett’s hand, she tugged on his arm. “I don’t have my passport or a ticket. We won’t get through!” Grace darted a look around, No one made a move to stop Greg. Clearly front desk hadn’t passed on the message or they didn’t realise it was him. She needed to find someone to help.
“Like hell.” Jett released her hand and before she’d realised what was happening, he barrelled past the security officer at the checkpoint.
A hand to her mouth, Grace watched as another made a grab for him and he slipped past, making a bee line for Greg. Her ex turned at the sound of the disturbance and she spotted Beth. She must have called her name, as Beth lifted her head and started to run toward her.
Greg snatched Beth’s arm but Jett was upon him, bringing a fist into his face. Beth broke free as armed security burst onto the scene. The world fell out
from beneath her and she fell to her knees as Beth ran straight into her arms. An armed officer jumped on Jett as Greg dropped to the floor, apparently unconscious. The sight of guns, the sound of pounding feet gripped at her heart. God, please don’t let him be shot.
Squeezing Beth tightly, tears spilled out as Jett was dragged to his feet. He flashed her a triumphant grin as he was led away, an officer on either side. She blew out a breath as a security officer approached.
“Miss, can you tell me what this was all about?”
She climbed to her feet and hefted Beth into her arms. “Yes. That man,” she pointed to Greg, “was trying to take my daughter. And that man,” she pointed to Jett as they took him into a side office, “just saved her.”
Chapter Seven
Several hours later, a weary looking Jett approached them. His hair was mussed as if he’d been running his hands through it repeatedly and his t-shirt must have been torn in the scuffle. Grace had to clamp her arms around her waist to prevent herself from flinging her arms around him in relief.
Grace came to her feet, grimacing as the blood rushed back into her bottom after too many hours of sitting on a hard airport bench. She glanced over at Beth who was busy playing on one of the kid’s computer terminals, totally unperturbed by events. She shook her head. If only she could be so easily assured. A few cuddles and Beth was completely over her experience.
A few cuddles from Jett would probably sort her out too, if she was honest. The man had risked being shot to rescue her daughter. What an idiot she was. He was so unlike Greg, it was ridiculous. Why had she even compared them? But did he even want anything more to do with her? Jett Olsen could have any woman he wanted. Why would he want someone who’d turned him down once already?
Unconsciously she reached out and touched his stomach, as if the feel of those hard muscles would reassure her he was fine. “Is everything okay?”
He nodded, expression unreadable. “Yeah. All sorted.”
“I—thank you, Jett. I don’t know what I would have done if it wasn’t for you.”
He shrugged. “I’m just sorry that had to happen. I obviously didn’t make enough threats. Lesson learned, I guess. Let’s just say, if I see him again, he’ll be lucky to get away with a broken nose.”
Grace released a small smile. “I owe you so much.”
“You don’t owe me anything, Gracie. One night remember?”
Her smile dropped, her heart an aching chasm. “I remember.” Beth came to her side and stared up at Jett as Grace wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “Hey, sweetie, this is…uh… mummy’s friend, Jett.”
Beth fixed her dark eyes on him. “You’re tall.”
Jett frowned and stared back. “And you’re small.”
This seemed to satisfy Beth and Grace fought the urge to burst into hysterical laughter as she watched their exchange. Jett always said he liked honesty and there was no one more honest than a child, especially her child.
“Mummy, I’m hungry.”
“Yeah, me too,“ Jett agreed. He glanced around. “Fancy some pancakes?”
Beth nodded eagerly. “And a milkshake?”
“And a milkshake.”
Grace laughed in disbelief. Somehow Beth had the man wrapped around her little finger already. Jett offered her his hand and she took it gratefully as he tugged her to his side. “Would mummy like some breakfast?”
“Sure.”
“Would mummy like some breakfast just with me?” he murmured in her ear as they joined the queue for food.
“What do you mean?”
“I’d like another night. Or two. Or three. Or as many as you’ll give me.”
Grace gulped down her surprise and hoped it didn’t show on her face. “Really?”
“Yeah. I’m not done with you yet, Gracie. Sound like a good proposition?”
A spark of delight thread its way through her. He wanted more of her. This sexy, honest, very commanding man wanted her. She’d be a fool to say no.
Epilogue
6 Months Later
Grace rubbed a hand across her face as she trekked across the car park and delved in her handbag for her car keys. Where were the damned things? She glanced up and slowed her pace as she approached her car.
“What are you doing here?”
Jett pushed away from the car and shook his head. “Is that anyway to greet your husband to be?”
Grace laughed and gave up her hunt for her keys as he closed the gap between them and wrapped his arms around her, deliberately pressing his hips against hers. Heat and hardness greeted her sending a whirlwind of desire through her veins.
“Yes…but…” She tried to gather her thoughts as he cupped her arse, “we agreed to spend tomorrow apart. Especially seeing as I won’t get anything done with you around.”
“What needs doing?” He swept a light kiss over her lips. “All you need to do is chuck on a dress and get to the church on time.”
“There is much more to a wedding than that and you know it.”
“I should just tie you up and take you back to our place. Have my way with you. I bet you won’t be protesting when I’m fucking you until you scream.” He nipped at her ear.
Grace suppressed a shudder. How would she be able to bear even one night away from him? She was staying at her mother’s tonight with Beth and she wouldn’t see Jett until tomorrow. When she married him. An uncontrollable grin spread across her face. She was going to marry Jett Olsen. Who could believe it?
“How was your last shift?” he asked as he eased her bag from her shoulder and instantly found her car keys.
“Yeah, fine. Would have been better if you’d been there.”
“Well you can put on your own show for me tomorrow.”
Grace nodded as he pressed the keys into her palm with a sly grin and claimed her mouth with a punishing kiss before stepping back and allowing her to open the car door. She slid into the car and grinned. He hadn’t insisted she leave SinSity but she was grateful to be finished there. The club had been good to her but she wanted more from life than that. And Jett had given her that. Now he was adamant she go to art college and pursue her dreams. What he didn’t realise was that, as much as she loved painting, she could forgo it. As long as she had Jett.
“Tomorrow I’ll make you mine,” he told her as he shut the car door.
The man who tested her, pushed her, treasured her, protected her… loved her. And her daughter.
“Mine,” he mouthed to her.
Who could want anything more?
