“You’re one of the saviors of the city, aren’t you?” I heard someone behind me asking.

I was about to reply with a boring “yes” but luckily I turned around. In front of me stood a beautiful girl with blue eyes, dark long hair, and the thickest lips I had ever seen. She was a level 2 warrior; she wore a thin piece of fabric and I could see her hard nipples peeking through it.

“Thank you for doing it.” She said, and smiled at me, ”I’m Lynn.”

I knew she wanted more than thank me. The way she combed her hair, and the way she pretended to be straightening her clothes as she rubbed her hands all over her breasts. My cock rose, and it became a huge nuisance. I still had an hour and a half left so I invited her to my room. I had barely finished talking and she was already agreeing with her head.

As soon as we got there, and I closed the door behind me, she just leaned forward and kissed me. Her lips were huge and I couldn’t wait to have them wrapped around my cock. I had increased it once again, and I also had bigger muscles and was slightly taller. We were kissing passionately through the whole room, hitting walls, almost tripping on each other, until we fell on the bed. She had one of those cute faces that you know that deep down lives a wild, naughty girl, and she seemed eager to show me how crazy she was. She took off my shirt and looked mesmerized at my body, right before kissing her way down to my pants, at the same time she gently scratched my chest. Fuck. I could feel my cock about to rip my pants and greet her with a huge slap on her face. Luckily for both of us, she got there in time.

“You’re huge. I don’t know if I can take all of it.” She said, slightly embarrassed, “But I want to try.”

  Chapter I

Nice. I had just been fired for something I didn’t do, and I could feel the anger spreading through my body as I tried to think of a solution. I was jobless, had rent to pay, and unfortunately, my landlord wasn’t the most patient person.

  The only good thing about being fired was that they had to pay me for the whole month and an extra. I had enough money for 2 months of rent, so I decided to spend some money on a new game despite having no clue which one I wanted to buy. There were several games, and most of them looked nice. However, one caught my attention. The cover was different from usual. Instead of explosions, ships, monsters, or even an ancient city, the game had only one warrior woman on the cover. She had long dark hair, green eyes, and skin with a few yellow spots and white freckles. She was wearing an armor, and although it covered more than half of her body, it didn’t hide her protruding breasts. I wondered if she was a character in the game or just a way to make people pick it up. In the back of the cover, there was a quote that said;

“This game uses recent technology, and the experiences each player will have are vastly different from others. There are no hints, tricks, or cheats. Everyone makes their own path. We hope you enjoy the game. Have fun.”

My friends were busy with their lives and it had been a while since I went on a date. I needed to occupy my head with something, and this game seemed to be the right choice. It had everything that I valued in a game; fighting, sex, good mechanics, several types of weapons, and a vast world to explore. It had been released just three weeks ago, so there was still a slight possibility of catching up with the strongest players. There was a guy in his mid-forties around the corner, staring at me. He had the store uniform and wasn’t in good shape. He had dark circles under his eyes, which stretched almost to the middle of his nose, wrinkled skin, and a few wrinkles on his face. It was the look of a man trapped in a grueling routine that he could no longer handle. There wasn’t even sadness in his eyes, he just wished that the day would come to its end. He began walking toward me, and as soon as he got closer, he tried to make a docile smile. I noticed his mouth twitching as a curve emerged in its corners.

“This game is special, you know? Its virtual reality is more in-depth than usual, and it has a real-life impact. We’ve had a lot of buyers lately.” He told me. The man stuttered a lot for someone who had such a grave voice.

“What do you mean by real-life impact?” I asked. He had my attention, and my eyes were focused on him.

“What happens to you in the game affects your body in real-life. Not on a similar scale though, but you’ll feel some pain, and you may even gain a few bruises. The game takes pride in being able to convey emotion, senses, smell, and touch in a way that resembles reality. I’ve tried the game but I had to stop. My body is too fragile to handle certain blows. I had to rest for a few days after that.” He replied, taking a few pauses to breathe.

“You can die in the game?” I asked.

I wanted to ask him about sex, but that was a conversation that I didn’t want to have with him.

“Yes. It will hurt, and you can only start again after 24 hours. Your best choice is to find people that fight by your side, fewer chances of dying, you know? You can modify your voice to sound older. And you must be 22 or 23, am I right?”

“Yes, 22. Well, I’ll buy it.” I said. It seemed like the game was calling me, and I couldn’t ignore it.

“Follow me. You won’t regret it. We only had a complaint and it was a guy whose character got so beat up that he was full of marks and bruises. I warned him, but he thought I was joking. Poor guy.” The old man said and kept rambling about other stuff.

The only problem was its price, but I believed it would compensate in the long run. It had an extremely captivating name; Wild Fantasy Online. I followed him to the cashier and paid for the game. Luckily, I already had all the necessary materials like the VR glasses. I had bought them a few months ago for another game; one that disappointed me a lot, and I was hoping this wouldn’t follow the same fate.

My curiosity was at its peak. I couldn’t wait to start playing it and lose track of time. In less than 20 minutes, I was home. I turned on my computer and went to get something to eat in the meantime so I could play without having to worry about hunger. I also went to the bathroom. I had been reading the instructions, and despite not telling me much, it said that it was only possible to pause the game if the player was in a special house. If someone got inactive for more than 5 minutes during a raid or a mission, the player would get a one-hour ban and would lose experience points. I also read different sites, and forums to discover everything I could about the game. I found out that some people sold their items and weapons on a few shady sites, and earned enough real money that they didn’t even need to have a job. Well, that would be a dream.

I was ready. I sat in my comfortable, reclining black chair and put on the special VR glasses as the game was starting. I was slightly nervous, but I tried to convince myself tha
t it was just a game. The truth was that I had always been very competitive, and I didn’t like to lose, even when I barely knew how to play the game.

  Chapter II

A bright blue light illuminated the screen, and a confirmation prompt appeared.

“Are you sure you’re ready to start the game? Yes or No?”

I wasn’t able to use the microphone yet, so I pressed “Yes”, and suddenly, I was taken to a world whose meadow seemed infinite; the sky was crystalline too. I looked around and, In the north, there was a mountainous terrain that stretched for miles and made it impossible to see what was beyond. While on the right side, there was only one huge river; the quiet, and thick, dark water didn’t help me as I tried to figure out if it was safe to travel across. On the left and south side, there was only one vast path toward nothing, or so I thought. There were so much tranquillity and silence. I took a few steps forward and felt some discomfort in my feet. I looked down and noticed that I was barefoot, and the sharp herbs weren’t helping.

The combination of blue and green transmitted a fleeting transience that was interrupted by the appearance of another question.

"Do you want to play in the fairly easy mode or the ultra-hard?"

It didn’t take me more than two seconds to decide. I chose the "ultra-hard" option, and the idyllic world around me began to fall. The sky crumbled into a thousand pieces of ice, and they approached me at breakneck speed. I looked around, but I had nowhere to go. The frozen projectiles were getting closer, and I sensed my end. My lips became dry and cracked, and I couldn’t even open my mouth. That wasn’t even the worst; my body froze, and my consciousness was just screaming for help, while my feet seemed stuck on the ground. It was the end for me, and I was just waiting for the excruciating pain in the reality. I shouldn’t have chosen the most difficult option before learning the commands. I closed my eyes and waited for a minimally honorable death. I would have to wait for an hour before being able to play again, and it would be my fault. At the last second, I was teleported away from the ice, and I watched from far away as the ground collapsed and disappeared. In its place, there was only an empty hole. I couldn’t believe what happened. Was this part of the game, or did I have a guardian angel?

I heard a whistle, almost like a sigh, coming from behind me. My heart was startled. I turned around, and a few meters away from me stood a woman with long dark hair, almond colored-eyes, and covered with a brown cloak. While the only thing I had in my body was a thin tissue that stretched from my chest to my knees. I still had a lot to evolve before getting a similar set as hers. The fact that I couldn’t see what was underneath sparked my curiosity. There was a slight eroticism allied to her character and the way she interlaced her fingers in her hair as she waited for me. I walked toward her, and the wind increased, making walking more difficult. I dragged myself, using all the strength I had left to get next to her. Then I noticed that her ears were slightly pointy, and her tongue was larger than usual. I thought about what she could do with something like that, and in an instant, I had a raging boner. Those thoughts were sprawling through my mind and I definitely had to stop. My avatar was reacting to my sudden changes, and it got harder to walk, and talk. Fuck! The game was too realistic. I needed to calm down or I would have a serious problem when it came to a fight.

She was licking her lips meekly as she watched me intently. After a brief act of courage, I finally got close to her. Her eyes glowed in a peculiar way, and I noticed she had a bow behind her. That’s the beauty of games; nothing is easy, but anything is possible. Part of me still longed to see the girl on the cover of the game, although, I was beginning to think that she was just a myth. A deception perfectly positioned to trick those who wished to possess such a beautiful woman.

“Finally.” She said, looking slightly annoyed, “I’m Nympha, and I’ll be your guide.”

My microphone was enabled, and I was able to talk without using the keyboard. I apologized for the delay and asked her if she was the one who saved me. She answered me with a delicate nod. At last, she explained to me everything I needed to know about the game. From the rules—which was just something like "try not to die"—to the fact that with each level upgrade, I would get access to new weapons, new outfits, special attacks, extra items, and could upgrade parts of my body. She also taught me how to get to the menu and see my stats. I was still at level 0, and she told me that she’d submit to my orders when I got to level 1, so until then, I had to follow her.

  Status

  Level: 0

  Name: Kratom

  Weapon: None

  HP: 90/90

  Attack: 20

  Defense: 20

  Knowledge: 20

Exp. To the next level: 0/200

I’ve been using the same name since I was fifteen; when I started playing video games. For some reason, the name just appeared in my mind, and I loved it so much that I still use it. There was also a bar for stamina, but it didn’t have numbers.

“What do you mean by submitting to my orders?” I asked. I was hoping that she meant what I thought it was.

“Anything you desire.” She replied, “I forgot to tell you. This game differs from others, in the essence that lots of these stats are useless. Knowledge is what you know about this world, your enemies, and how you can use that to your advantage. You’re being watched all the time and everything you do and say counts to your leveling up, or to getting a step closer to your death. “’Think before you act’ is a good motto if you want to survive.”

Her soft, sweet voice echoed through my head. The game promised an incomparable experience, and I expected sex to resemble something real and genuine; as close to reality as possible. Knowing I could feel her touch on my skin made my cock rise up from the bottom of my boxers once again. I fixed it so it wouldn’t bother me and went back to the game. She added that when I got to level 1, it would be possible to change some of my attributes, I would get a more appropriate outfit, and that I could alternate between using an armor, or just the normal outfit.

I asked her how I could level up, and she explained to me in detail that, and since I was still in the beginning, I just needed to follow her and talk to a few people in the nearest town, but the rest of the levels depended on how good I was.

“There are 20 levels. No one has reached 20 yet, so you don’t need to be scared. You still have time. The more you evolve, the harder it gets to level up. There are no turns in this game, you can attack whenever you want, and so can others. You need to focus on the battle and try to exploit any flaw your enemy has. Even a level 2 can win against a level 4 if he’s smarter. Do you understand or do you want me to repeat?” Nympha said, in a monotone voice. She kept playing with her hair.

  “I understand” I replied.

She seemed to be repeating certain things, just using different words. Maybe the AI wasn’t that good, or maybe I really had to be smart and tactical to be good at the game. I thanked her for the help and once again she yawned. She didn’t seem to want to be there, which was something unusual for a piece of the puzzle belonging to the game. She stood still for a few seconds and finally she stared at me. It was like she was reading me, and finding out everything she could about me, that was on the internet. Suddenly, she opened her mouth.

“It’s time to teach you about the game mechanics and its quirks,” She said. She had a devilish grin, almost as if she wanted to see me fail.

I was a miserable level 0 player, and that seemed to bother her. A lightning bolt ripped through the sky and hit the ground a few meters away from me. I got scared and jumped back, much to Nympha’s delight, that burst out laughing. The ground roared and small cracks opened the floor and spread to our feet. A dome of fog surrounded the area, and we had to wait until the heavy, gray air dissipated. It took a few minutes but once it was gone, I had to rub my eyes to make sure what I was seeing was real. I had seen monsters in several games, even horror ones, but these had something different. Two dogs, their faces disfigured, a
tail with a sharp red tip, and claws that could crush and tear skin apart like plastic. The way their hair fluttered in the light breeze, their bloodshot eyes, their sharp teeth and the black saliva that dripped down her mouths, and between their teeth were all extremely real. They seemed like two normal dogs from the real-word that went through a messed-up experience at the hands of a madman.

I hadn’t seen anything quite like it; a shiver ran through my body and my knees buckled. They didn’t stop barking, but the tone was unlike any sound I had ever heard. It contained some echo and vibration, as if at the same time that they opened their mouths hundredth souls of whom they had ripped their skin pleaded for salvation. Nympha asked me which a weapon I preferred; bow, sword or ax. Each had its flaws and qualities, but I ended up choosing the bow. I was one of those that in similar games always chose to be a mage or a witch, and as it was only available for those who were level 5 or higher I went for the one who looked similar.

I got a bow made of bamboo, wooden arrows, and a fragile armor, that offered me some protection. My attack went to 50, and my defense to 45. I could see the dog’s status. They only had 30hp, 0 defense, and 20 attack. I could defeat them, but I needed to be careful so they wouldn’t catch me off guard. Nympha snapped her fingers, and the dogs began to bark as they got closer to me. Suddenly, I was trapped between them, and I couldn’t seem to find a way to get out. There was a soft breeze that kept making my hair fall on my face blocking my view, and a sweet smell, something like a mix between cherries and peaches. I had no idea where it was coming from but it was amazing. However, it didn’t really matter if I died. A small tutorial about how to use the bow appeared in front of me, but it didn’t help me much. I still had to take the arrows from the bag, put them in the bow, point, and shoot. Despite all of that I still could fail, which would be a waste of time and would let me defenseless. I felt like I had chains around my heart, gripping and tightening the longer I took to move, and I had yet to take a step.
