The Prodigal Sun: A Novel Page 22

The woman who was presenting pushed a few more buttons. “Because Mr. Goodman, it’s on an extreme elliptical orbit. The orbit is so extremely elliptical that its path is almost at a ninety degree angle to the direction we rotate around the sun,” she explained and switched the screen to another picture showing our solar system. There was a narrow long oval shape that stretched down away from the bottom of our sun and off the screen, showing the visiting system’s path. “You see how it comes up from below before it slingshots around our sun and heads back to where it came from?” The presenter asked. “People can see this planetary system coming, but only people who live south of the equator. And the ones that can see it would have no idea what they were looking at. It would look no different than any other star. The curvature of the Earth and its approach from below make it practically invisible to the naked eye. Do you understand what I’m saying here? The only way it can be seen, at least for a while yet, is directly from the southern hemisphere. That’s why this place was specifically built here, so we could study it,” the presenter finished.

The general suddenly jumped into the conversation in his drill-sergeant-like voice.

“So you’re saying this thing is crawling directly up our asshole and we won’t even see it coming until it’s too late to do anything about it?

“You have a way with words don’t you general?” The elderly man asked.

“I think what the general is trying to say is; what are we doing to save everyone if they can’t see this coming? asked Lucas. “There are billions of people on this planet. Are we warning them? I mean, we have to tell them, at least give everyone a fair and fighting chance.”

“Think about the logistics. There’s just no way to save everyone. How would we feed, house, and bathe seven billion people in an underground and sealed environment, where all food has to be grown under high intensity lights? Water will be limited, space for everyone to exercise and sleep? It‘s a mathematical impossibility.” The elderly man stood up again and walked around the side of the table, putting emphasis on every word.

“It’s about survival of the species. We can’t save them all so we can’t tell them either. The initial worldwide panic would send every economy into a standstill. The world economy would stop, gold would become the standard currency, and once the hoarders finished buying everything on the shelves, then crime would skyrocket. Lawlessness. You would have to buy penicillin for one hundred times the usual price outside the front doors of the hospitals from the men who robbed it the night before. I’m not taking an alarmist approach. That is exactly what happened in the U.S.S.R. when it fell apart. As I said, it’s survival of the species and we need to preserve the status quo for as long as we can, in order to save as many as we can. So the answer to your question is no. We have not and will not make an announcement. We cannot afford to make the general public aware of what’s coming and jeopardize our plan. We hope to still have close to a year to continue to stockpile commodities and dry goods and finish the underground farms we’ve built with massive lighting powered by geothermal steam generators. Look, eventually everyone will know. It will be plainly visible for everyone to see. A few rumors have already started to spread through the Internet, as much as we've tried to stop it. Pictures from amateur telescope operators have been passed around. So far, with the help of the world's governments, we've been able to pass it off as conspiracy. We have to give ourselves enough time to save who we can.”

Lucas let out a sigh. He could see the practical nature of the plan but it seemed wrong to deny everyone a fighting chance to make it through whatever was coming. The woman that was running the presentation spoke again. “Within three weeks a sliver of Nibiru’s sun will be visible on the horizon from the southern tip of Africa, South America and Australia. However, it will be over a month before the rest of the world will begin to witness it. By then it will be much closer and much brighter and will already have begun to cause catastrophic events on our planet,” explained the presenter. The image changed. It zoomed in again and an animation played out the path that the invading solar system would take around ours. It stopped just as the invading sun hovered above Earth’s magnetic north pole.

“This will be its location halfway through its journey around our sun. At that time, the impacts to our planet will have become painfully obvious. We believe the entire crust of our planet will heave like a tide. Then there’s the next problem, their seventh planet. As it orbits around its sun it will come very near to Earth. It could even come close enough to disrupt our own gravity, which could cause large ripples in our tectonic plates. The plates could move a hundred miles during a pressure release, as the Earth becomes slightly egg shaped. Remember the earthquake in Japan? It only moved eight feet in comparison. We’re talking very large-scale problems here. The Earth could be tugged out of orbit or may even stop rotating. We don’t know all of the possible scenarios. And now, on top of all this we have another factor we didn’t plan on Mr. Goodman, as you said earlier, The Annunaki. We need to find out everything we can about them. That is why we brought you here. You have our resources at your disposal, but we don’t have much time. There is going to be a meeting here in a few days of the twenty eight largest countries in the world. We will need to present a recommendation to the world’s superpowers on how to move forward. Your expertise makes you the right candidate for the job. And there’s something else. The signal that we found coming from the oncoming planetary system, well we recorded it. After running it through every computer program we could think of we finally were able to listen to it.

“Listen to it? Lucas asked licking his lips in anticipation.

“Yes Mr. Goodman. It would seem to be of a voice speaking in an unknown language. We need you to translate it as quickly as possible,” she said.

“That may be more difficult that you think,” Lucas answered, “if it‘s a recording of the old Sumerian language or the language of the Gods it will be very hard to decipher.”

  “Why?” The presenter asked.

“Because it hasn’t been spoken for thousands of years,” Lucas explained.

“We are confident that if anyone can do it, it will be you. Now, Lucas, what else do you need?” The woman asked as she sat down.

There was a long pause before Lucas responded as the full impact of what he just learned continued to sink in. “I - I - am going need all of my records from my research facility and everything from the site in Iraq.” Lucas started with a stutter then grew more confident.

“Done, everything is already on its way here. It will be set up and ready to go at your disposal, along with the staff to sift through every file.” The elderly man answered.

“ I will need some of the biggest and fastest computers available,” Lucas said.

“Also already done,” the man replied.

  “And I need…” Lucas paused. “I need….”

“Yes Mr. Goodman? Anything, you name it and we will get it here.”

“That may be harder than you think sir. Because in order to figure all of this out…”

He briefly paused again while all eyes in the room were on him.

  “I need Frank Johnson.”

  The Revelation of John

John was standing on the top of a mountain looking down into a green valley. He could feel the wind blowing his hair and rushing passed his ears. He didn’t recognize where he was.

“Hello John.” he heard a voice he didn’t recognize from behind him. John turned around to see a tall man dressed in black.

  “My name is Braedon, John.”

“Where are we?” What happened?” asked John.

  “We are in your mind.”

“So I’m sleeping again and dreaming?” John asked.

“More like healing, but yes, resting peacefully. In the meantime while your mind continues to repair itself I thought we should talk. Do you know who, or what I am?”

  “No,” answered John.

“Well I have gotten to know who you are
and I am convinced you are not here by chance John. This is where you were meant to be.”

“And where is that? Where am I?” John asked, confused by Braedon’s cryptic answers.

“You are on a journey, a road to transformation, the path to enlightenment,” Braedon explained. The mountain they were standing on suddenly melted away and they were now on the floor of a green valley. “You are special John, a born leader. You have the perfect combination of genetics for the serum you took. You can become greatness, and with my help you will.” The scenery changed again and they were now walking through a mature forest.

“I don’t understand,” John finally said after a long pause.

“You will John. Let me explain.” Braedon replied. Suddenly John had the feeling he was falling. He and Braedon both dropped through darkness and John landed lying on a bed with Braedon standing next to him. Suddenly John’s surroundings were filled with images. They flew past him, stopping occasionally. Then his surroundings would melt away and completely change. It reminded John of watching a movie. But it felt like he was actually there among the characters and scenery. Images and scenes flashed by of a laboratory, a garden, women giving birth, then images of children and toddlers. John couldn’t explain it, but somehow everything began to make sense and he found he could understand what was going on. He watched in awe as he witnessed the birth of humanity.

“Are you okay John?” asked Braedon, suddenly pulling John from his surroundings. He was lying on a bed again in a large empty room with Braedon standing over him. John was breathing fast and could feel his heart pounding.

“This is amazing,” John responded between breaths. “Show me more.” John continued to witness the history of mankind from its very beginnings, how each race came to be, the rise and spread of human kind across the globe all the way to present day. He was suddenly lying on the bed again and was gasping for air as his body shuddered.

“You’re doing well John, better than I’d even hoped for. How do you feel?” Braedon asked.

  “Nauseous,” John replied.

  “Ready for more?” Braedon smiled.

  “There’s more?” asked John.

“Yes, you have seen the beginning, now I will show you the end,” Braedon replied.

John could see two solar systems. Suddenly images of Earth flew by, volcanoes, earthquakes. He could see mass evacuations of fleeing refugees all over the world. He saw two suns in the sky and recognized it from his dreams. Then something he hadn’t seen before. On the horizon following the twin suns across the sky was a massive planet. It was so close to Earth that as it came up over the horizon it filled the sky. As it tracked across the heavens John watched it overtake the suns and completely block them out. The Earth was thrown into darkness for three days under a total eclipse of both light sources. Then John watched the large planet set in the west. John was now standing on a beach watching it drop below the horizon. The light from the invading sun shone across the planet making it glow red. As it dipped down over the horizon it looked as though it was falling into the ocean. John recalled something he had read a long time ago. Then I saw a fiery mountain thrown into the sea. Everything went black and John was back in the bed. He could feel the sweat dripping down his forehead. He sat up.

“Now you know everything John,” Braedon whispered. “Did I leave anything out? Do you have questions?” he asked.

“I just don’t understand how we could have been so wrong. I feel misled somehow or lied to,” John said.

“John, humanity has always known the truth, you have all just chosen to ignore it, or have been blinded by others. It’s about perception and interpretation. When faced with superior technology man had to explain it the best way he could. The only difference between technology and magic is being able to understand what you are seeing. Let me tell you a true story John, or rather show you a true story of how your kind react to something they don’t understand.”

John and Braedon were suddenly standing in a rain-forest on the edge of a village, not far from a large lake. John could see villagers going about their day. “An exploration team made their way through this very jungle not long ago and they found this village, which had been completely cut off and secluded from the rest of the world. The team was confused because although the village had been isolated they were wearing crosses around their necks and they spoke of God that came from the sky and would return someday to save them. They thought that maybe an earlier expedition of missionaries long ago might have come across this village. They were to find out that was not the case,” continued Braedon. The images suddenly flashed to a Second World War military aircraft. Then images of pilots landing on a cleared area of the valley they were in. John watched in fast-forward as the pilots greeted the villagers and were welcomed into their camp. “The aircraft came and went and the soldiers stayed for long periods of time. They gave the villagers food. They taught the villagers many things and they saw electricity for the first time in lights and radios. They were in awe of the magic they witnessed. Once the war was over the pilots and soldiers said good-bye, got back in their airplanes and vanished into the sky. Before they left they told the villagers that someday someone would come back and that they would see more people like them. Even though there was a language barrier they were able to get the point across.” Braedon paused while John took in the images flashing in front of him. “The villagers were in such awe by the visit that they began a ritual of waiting by the edge of the clearing every night where the planes had landed. They lit huge fires and danced around them. They constructed an exact life sized replica of the American WWII aircraft out of grass, mud and sticks. They bowed to it as they danced around the fire each evening waiting for the soldiers to return someday, as they said they would.” John could now see images of the villagers dancing and singing around a huge fire. The firelight was bright enough to reflect off the large replica of the aircraft nearby. It was constructed with perfect precision in every detail. “The expedition team soon realized that the villagers did not have Christian crosses around their necks, but rather a replica of what the plane looked like in the sky from the ground as it flew overhead. The fuselage and the wings made the shape of a cross when seen from below. It was the start of a new religion for the villagers. They said a God visited them from the sky that showed and taught them many things. They believed that he would come back some day and save their village. If it wasn’t for the replica of the plane, which was so detailed that the expedition team could even tell what model it was, it would have sounded like every other story of Religion across the globe. So you see how easy it can be. Something that seems so simple can change the beliefs of an entire village without the proper understanding. Or even an entire world. That’s why I’m here John, to help you understand,” Braedon finished.

“But if you have known this all along, why not tell us the truth?” John asked.

“We have John, the story is everywhere in plain sight. One just has to read between the lines with an open mind. Ever wonder why there are so many stories throughout your history of a virgin birth, an immaculate conception by God? In Egypt you had the story of the virgin Isis who conceived Horace by God. In India, Krishna was born of the virgin Devaki. In Persia Mithra was born of a virgin. You also have the story of Mut-em-ua, the Queen who gave birth to the Pharaoh Amenkept. She was said to be a virgin and her child was conceived when God held a cross to the virgin’s mouth. This of course was over two thousand years before the birth of Christianity and the story of Mary and Jesus. When Christianity came to Rome, the people continued to worship the exact same statues they had been praying to for thousands of years. Christians still pray to those same statues in Rome to this day, all they did was change their names. Isis became Mary and Horace became the baby Jesus. Constantine himself was a sun-worshiping Pagan and because of this he knew that the only way to convert the people to Christianity was to keep the two religions as similar as possible. All the symbols were re-used from the cross to the fish on
the pope’s head. The fish is the symbol for the astrological sign of Pisces and the Age of Pisces, coincidentally it would seem, started at the same time as Christianity, about two thousands years ago. All the religious holidays like Christmas and Easter; these were Pagan celebrations that all stayed the same. It would seem your world's religious circles are not without a sense of irony, since the roots of Christianity are based on Paganism; the very religion they despise. Your people have just been confused John. Can you see how all of these stories fit together now? Braedon asked.

“I’m still not sure I understand,” John replied.

“John, the reason these stories have repeated themselves since the beginning is due to their importance, and how it explains where you come from. Your early ancestor’s DNA was placed inside of our virgin females. It wasn’t immaculate conception. It was invitro fertilization.” Braedon paused, again allowing John time to process the coming epiphany. “You’re a biologist John so I know you can understand that process. However, if you were a lesser-advanced society how might you explain it if someone was to perform invitro fertilization? You could probably say that a virgin female somehow gave birth to an immaculately conceived child by an advanced civilization, or God, who put it in her womb. Man just came up with a simple explanation of a complicated process. What was produced was the human race as you now know it,” explained Braedon. “So you see, every time you hear a story of a virgin birth, it is a symbolic story of your own creation John. The birth of Mankind,” Braedon finished.

John was suddenly feeling nauseous again. He thought he was going to be sick as he reflected on his Religious upbringing and the doctrine of beliefs he had held firm, until now. He felt his mouth watering with saliva and could feel the urge to vomit growing stronger. He looked at Braedon as he covered his mouth. “This goes against everything I have ever learned about Religion and Christianity,” said John.
