  Mr. Gladdie Gordon squeezed her shoulders, making her feel protected. “Do you think you’d ever be happy just livin’ here with me and not singin’ for the public?”

  His query took her by surprise. “What does that mean?”

  “I mean, will you leave tourin’ behind when we have babies?”

  “In a heartbeat!”

  He beamed. “We’d better not say nothin’ about our future plans to Archie. He won’t like that much.”

  “Maybe he doesn’t, but I do.” Drusie lifted her mouth to Gladdie for a sweet kiss. When his lips met hers, she knew once and for all that they would be making beautiful music together for the rest of their lives.
