Chapter 1
Serena Jefferson threw on her suit jacket then adjusted her glasses as she stood up to leave work. She gathered her birthday cards and flowers off of her desk, wishing they made her feel better about turning thirty. Thirty wasn’t old, but it was old to be a virgin. Hell, she’d only had a few nerdy men interested in her all her life. She would have blamed it on her job as a computer geek, but her coworkers didn’t seem to have any trouble attracting men, so she knew it must be her. She was too tall, too chubby, and allergic to contact lenses, so she had to wear thick-lensed glasses to see. Still, even most plain women like her had a sex life.
Well, tonight she’d be a virgin no more.
As she started walking toward the office exit, she heard a male voice beside her. “Hi, Seri,” he said, and he took the flowers from her. “Let me walk you to your car, birthday girl.”
“Girl, my ass.” Serena had to smile. She liked Jason Wilcox, a nerdy computer tech who was a Program Analyst for her government security office, FBL. They’d formed a close friendship in the year he’d been working there, both spending many nights together because they had no romantic interests. Jason was tall and nicely built with dark hair that never seemed to lay right, kind blue eyes, and a too-wide mouth. Socially awkward around most people, the two of them were sort of thrown together in the trash pile. They referred to themselves as the odd couple, as her milk chocolate skin contrasted starkly with his sun-toasted vanilla. However, they had a few things in common, one being that both of them had spent time in foster care as kids, although neither spoke much about those days.
“Who sent the flowers?” Jason asked as they stepped outside.
“Beats me,” Serena said, enjoying the warm breeze. “Just said ‘from your secret admirer.’ Has to be Cara, teasing me.”
“Maybe you really have a secret admirer, Seri.”
“Well, my cat loves me.”
They both chuckled then went silent until they reached her car, a red Escort. Jason placed the flowers on the floor in the backseat then watched as she slid into her car. “Have any plans for tonight?” he asked.
“The girls are taking me out to get me laid.” She laughed at the roundness of his eyes. “Really! Cara found this special place and made all the plans.”
“Cara? I don’t trust that lady,” Jason said, in big-brother-protective mode.
Serena didn’t trust Cara either, and that’s why she enjoyed her. Cara urged her to push her boundaries. It was her idea for Serena to find a fuck buddy on her thirtieth birthday. She flashed Jason a smile. “I’m going to some secret place. They won’t tell me where. Hey, this is probably the most exciting thing that’s ever happened to me.”
“Whatever!” Jason threw up his hands. “Meanwhile, I have a gift for you. Promise not to open it for two weeks.” He pulled a small package out of his suit jacket pocket.
“Thanks, Jason,” she said, touched, and she threw it beside her on the seat. Then she turned the car on and drove away, forgetting about Jason and everything except losing her virginity. Maybe she could finally throw out her vibrators, dildos, and butt plugs. She needed the touch of a real man, and tonight she hoped to finally feel what it was like.
Chapter 2
Serena sat in the passenger seat of Cara’s little car. She was practically jumping out of her skin from apprehension and excitement. “We’ve been driving for so long,” she said. “Cara, I didn’t want you to take me to an unfamiliar bar. And what’s with the young Diana Ross mask? Why do we all have to wear masks?”
Cara, wearing a gypsy mask, laughed as the wind blew in from the windows, tossing their hair. “Hey, it’s a one-of-a-kind place that I heard about. You can’t get in without a mask, and Diana was pretty hot.”r />
“I hardly resemble Diana Ross. Frankenstein would have made more sense.” She let out an exasperated breath, her stomach clenching.
“Aw, Seri, you’re pretty,” Cara said, turning to wink at her. Then she added, “All the gals will be there, so you won’t be alone. You want to lose your virginity, right?”
“Yeah.” Her pussy flamed at the suggestion. “You don’t think I can find some man to do me close to home?” She was teasing Cara, her best friend since grade school. “You have to take me to some special place? Where I have to wear a mask?”
“Of course not,” Cara said. “But I wanted to take you here. You’re shy, and this little joint will help you with that. I can see you freaking out and not doing it in a regular bar.”
Serena shuddered. Part of her was nervous, but part of her was so ready to let loose. “Can’t wait,” she said and half meant it.
A few minutes later, Cara stopped driving and said, “We’re here, sistah.”
Serena looked across the street at a two-story square building with a flashing gold and red sign. The letters read Secrets. Her heart sped up as she glanced at the petite, slight young woman who was grinning at her, her mask not covering her mouth. Her brown skin gleamed under the moonlight. “Okay,” Serena said, her breasts starting to tingle. “What kind of place is Secrets?”
Cara laughed as she opened the car door. “It’s a secret,” she said, and Serena rolled her eyes as she also got out of the car.
When they stood before the crosswalk, waiting for the light to turn green, Cara turned to her and grinned. “Girl, you look sexy. Never seen you wearing clothes like this…plunging neckline, short skirt, heels. Man, your boobs are all but saying ‘Come and get me.’”
Serena blushed. “You bought me the clothes and made me wear them,” she said, tossing her head, thinking of their shopping spree earlier in the evening.
“Yeah, makes a big difference,” Cara said. “You should take off your glasses.”
“Then I won’t be able to see,” she said. “Look, I’m offering myself with no commitment attached. The man, if there is one, can deal with my glasses. Besides, the glasses are hidden under Diana’s face, although I’m sure it’s obvious I have lenses over my eyes.”
Cara shrugged. “Stop acting like nobody will want you. This is going to be different. Oh, I see the crowd now. Anna was going to dress like Alice in Wonderland.” She waved.
Serena was happy when she saw her other friends waving at them from outside the door. The more, the merrier…and the safer. All were masked. Serena grinned to herself. It was a half a year until Halloween.
As she and Cara stepped closer to the crowd, her friends started singing “Happy Birthday” in loud voices. Serena laughed and looked around, embarrassed, but appreciated their rousing good cheer. Then it was time to go inside, and she felt her knees turning to rubber. Her friends giggled behind her, also seeming nervous.
Serena suddenly laughed as she shook her head. “You guys would come up with a place like this,” she said, looking over her shoulder at her disguised friends. Feeling braver with her face covered, she stepped inside to be greeted by a beefy bouncer. “I need your ID,” he said.
“Give him your driver’s license,” Cara whispered into her ear as she also dug into her purse. “They have a list of people who made reservations, and they have to check the names against your identity before they can let you in.”
“Ma’am?” the bouncer asked, with force in his voice.
Serena didn’t get it, but she found her license and showed it to him. He looked in a book and seemed to put a check down. “All right,” he said. “You can go in.”
“Cara, I’m waiting for you,” she quickly told her friend.
A moment later, they both stepped to a fancy bar with red velvet on the walls and hardwood floors. The clientele were all masked, but neatly dressed. She spotted several nicely built men and wondered what it would be like to have their hands on her breasts, up her pussy. She checked out the size of their cocks and almost passed out from the flames roaring through her body. Tonight would be the night. One tall, imposing man in particular drew her attention. He wore a pirate mask, had huge, round brown eyes, and his cock seemed the size of a baseball behind tight blue jeans. When he winked at her, she felt a little thrill rush through her. “Did you see that?” she asked everybody, but no one in particular. “The pirate winked at me. I’m going to faint.”
“Let me buy you a drink,” Anna, one of her friends, said, and they all walked over to the bar, Serena feeling weak in the knees. Serena knew she could use a good strong drink. She ordered a margarita and chugged it down.
At nine o’clock a loud bell rang, and Serena jumped. Cara poked her. “This is normal procedure,” she said over the music and crowd noise.
A nicely dressed Caucasian man, middle-aged, unmasked, came out from the back of the bar. His head was shaved, and he had a friendly demeanor. When he held up his hand, everyone grew quiet, and the lights dimmed. Serena looked around and found all eyes on him.
“Hi, there, and welcome to Secrets,” he said, in a booming voice. “I’m Jim Secret, the owner of this place, and for those of you who aren’t members, I’m going to explain the ground rules.”
Members? Serena held on to Cara’s arm and listened.
“Secrets is not open to the public without reservations. Many here are members. Those who are guests have to sign a waiver before you play because we can’t be responsible if anything happens. My boys are going to come to all the visitors with waivers, and anyone who refuses to sign will have to leave.”
Serena had no words. She was on the Pill because her periods were irregular, so she had that covered. She hadn’t thought about STDs. Well, she’d have to insist her fuck buddy wear a condom, even if that wasn’t how she wanted to do it.
Jim snapped his fingers, and everyone seemed to jump to attention again. “For your safety, all rooms and activities are monitored and recorded and copies kept for a month. But so many of you love being watched, isn’t that true?” He lifted his eyebrows, and there was some laughter.
Serena’s body tingled. She, too, enjoyed the idea of being watched.
“If anyone does anything against the will of his or her partner, that client will be arrested, but that doesn’t happen often here. That’s all for tonight. Have a fun, safe experience.” He smiled then turned and walked away, disappearing in the back of the bar from where he’d come.
There was a murmur of excited voices.
Serena felt both thrilled and frightened as a man with a clipboard shoved it at her, along with a pen. “I haven’t seen you before, so you must be new. Sign the waiver, ma’am. Read it carefully before you do.”
So the workers knew all the members. Interesting. She read the disclaimer about not holding the establishment responsible for babies or STDs then signed. When the man stepped aside, she saw that the pirate was staring at her from halfway across the room, and she found that her breath came quickly.
“I think he likes you,” Cara whispered into her ear.
Serena gulped and boldly met the gaze of the well-built man. Lordy, he looked as if, underneath his shirt, he had six-pack abs. His shoulders were wide behind a silk, white button shirt, his legs strong, long, athletic, and sheathed in tight, clean blue jeans. “I think I found a decent fuck buddy,” she whispered to Cara. “Guess I’m more appealing without my face.” She felt bolder without her face, too. When Cara pushed her in his direction, she didn’t turn around and run. She went up to him, and he waited for her instead of hiding in the restroom.
Chapter 3
Serena looked up into the pirate’s steady gaze, pleased that he was tall enough for her to have to look up at him. Many men were shorter than her. This was a treat. Her insides were trembling, but she refused to go back on her promise to herself. The man’s full face mask exposed his brown eyes, straight nose, and generous, kissable mouth. When he smiled at her, he showed strong, white teeth. Serena felt ligh
t-headed.
“Hi, sexy lady,” he said, and she noticed his Southern accent. “Would you like a drink?”
“Yes.” She was intrigued by him. He smelled great, a whiff of pine and his own manly scent. His masculinity gripped her in his hold, even without his touching her. He put his arm around her and steered her toward the bar, and her skin prickled where their flesh touched.
After they’d ordered drinks, they sat at the bar, and he kept on sneaking stares at her. “I like that you’re a tall babe,” he said, his demeanor relaxed. “I’m six-four, and most of the time I get midgets.” He was speaking good-naturedly.
“Oh, um, sometimes the men are shorter than me,” she said, crossing her fingers. The lie had been necessary. She couldn’t tell him that she’d never had a steady boyfriend. As she drank, the liquor calmed her and made her more amorous.
“Let’s get a room,” he said, when they had both emptied their glasses. He stood and held out his elbow for her to take, a gentlemanly gesture that she liked. “To the elevator!” he said, and her belly went fluid.
On the walk to the elevator, he asked, “What should I call you? I go by Big D.”
Her face heated behind her mask, but she was determined to act saucy and confident, at least tonight.
“How big?” She felt her pussy growing heavy and wet as she thought about his cock.
“Some lady measured me at fifteen inches hard,” he said, and she couldn’t tell if he was serious or not. “Now you. What do you want me to call you?”
