Hellhound: Prince of Fire Page 6

  “So, you are Halo?”

I nodded and then felt a hand to my arm. I turned to see Dorin and he didn’t have to say a word to me for me to feel him and what he wanted me to do. I stepped back as Gunner watched me.

“Halo.” I glanced at him and then back to Dorin. He looked at Tercia too.

“You are not living, you are not Hellhound.”

Tercia looked down and then back up as she watched Gunner, ignoring Dorin altogether.

“I am not the enemy,” she said as she raised her hands up and started to move towards the door.

“What do you mean Dorin?” Gunner asked and Dorin looked back at him.

“Tercia is demon. She is not hound, human or otherwise. I did not know this. I could not see it before, before I…”

“Before what?” Gunner asked as Dorin turned his body toward him.

“Before I became a master and changed Halo.”

“What?” Gunner cried out as Ari and Finna had to stop him from rushing Dorin. I stood next to Dorin and my feelings remained calm. I cannot say that I do not enjoy that about this change in me. The fact that I seemed to be so emotional only led to bad things in my life and now that I seemed to have complete control it would work to my advantage. I stepped up next to Dorin and then walked towards Gunner. I stopped and stood before him as he stopped struggling and Ari and Finna let him go and backed away from me. I had to look different, I certainly felt that way. I felt as if everything that had ever been broken in me might be mended now. Everyone looked towards the door as Tercia ran and then flashed from our sight. I didn’t even bother to look as I kept my eyes trained on Gunner and could feel his heartbeat in my chest and the hum of his blood flow in my fingertips. My teeth ached, but it was with pleasure and not pain.

I lifted my hand as he started to back away, but I continued on until I finally made contact with his skin and he jerked at first, shocked at the temperature of my skin. It was not quite freezing cold, but somewhere in between. My eyes looked him over and I parted my lips and spoke as he watched my lips move.

“Gunner,” I said to him as my voice sounded calm and helped his heart beat start to slow in his chest. He lifted his hand and placed it over mine and then closed his eyes as Dorin turned to Finna and Ari.

“I think we should give them time.”

Ari looked at him and nodded.

  “You look good my brother.”

“I feel good,” Dorin said as the three of them walked from the entryway and left Gunner and I alone.

I stared at Gunner and slowly moved up to him as he looked down on me and his eyes looked glossy. He raised his hand and cupped my face as he studied my eyes.

  “I…”

“I know,” I whispered to him as I leaned in and kissed him.

  Chapter Eight

  Welcome the Change

I felt his hands slide around to the front of me and downward. I reached up and slipped my arms around his neck, careful to not hurt him because now, with vampire blood mingling with my own, I had the strength of ten Hellhounds if not more. I had only fed of Dorin, as my consciousness failed and I knew that death would be upon me. I had taken the only chance that I could.

I turned quickly to face Gunner. As I moved him back, he almost stumbled as I fought to control everything in me to simply knock him down and take advantage of him in the worst of ways. I had known of lust, but not in this way. This was completely new and called out to every inch of me to devour him. I wanted him. My pussy hummed as the urge surged through me. I could think of nothing else and for the moment my lust for him outweighed anything else in the world. He fell back on the bed as I crawled up on him in a flash and then straddled him. He moaned as my knees tightened at his sides and I applied some pressure against his already swelling erection. I wanted to rip every inch of clothing from him and as the thought settled in my brain I tore his shirt open without hardly any effort at all. He grinned up at me and almost enjoyed the fact that I was not weak in anyway. In fact, this was the first time that I had completely embraced a new power given to me. Becoming a Hellhound was a slow journey, but this, this was instantaneous. My strength was even surprising myself.

“I want you,” I said as I half growled and Gunner smiled up at me.

  “I can tell.”

“Good,” I said as I sat up and jerked him up with me. Dorin stepped up the Gunner’s bedroom door and raised his hand to knock as he heard me growl and Gunner cried out. He then busted into the room and we both looked up from the other side of the bed as I had accidently knocked us onto the floor.

  “I am sorry. I thought…”

I stood up and my shirt was open exposing my breasts. I then covered them up.

“Yes?” I said and Dorin held up a hand to me as Gunner rose from the floor with his shirt torn open and hair a mess. Dorin grinned at him and shook his head.

“If you survive this, I will see you in the training room.”

“I will be fine.” Gunner said as he glanced at me and I stepped towards Dorin.

“Can I stay?” I asked him as his approval seemed needed. He stepped up to me.

“You do not answer to me and it will pass. You are not 100% vampire so your need to please me will fade.”

“To please you?” Gunner asked and Dorin looked at him.

“I am her maker, her master. It is only going to be natural for her to feel as if she needs to ask me before she does anything right now.”

  “Well that is strange.”

“Not so much. If you understood vampires instead of only knowing me and asking nothing of it, then you would have known.”

“What I know is you changed her.”

I stepped towards him and touched Gunner’s arm.

“I asked him to. I was dying and so was he. He saved my life.”

Gunner relaxed and then looked back to Dorin.

“Is it too much to ask…” Dorin nodded and then left the room, pulling the door behind him. “I do apologize I thought she was eating you.”

The door closed and I looked at Gunner and grinned.

Dorin leaned against it and closed his eyes as the noise coming from the other side of it bothered him more than it should. He walked down the hallway and away from us as quickly as he could.

“I may,” I said as he looked me over.

  “You can try.”

I lunged at him and knocked him to the floor, as our lips met, my tongue quickly slipping inside and toying with him. He moaned at my lips and it caused me to tense up as he flipped me over and I felt the hard wood to my back. He looked down on me and then leaned in, without urgency and gently kissed me. I growled and ran my fingernails up his back, cutting into his flesh and he hissed. I stopped, knowing I was damaging him but not meaning to.

“I am sorry,” I said as I tried to calm down.

“Let me love you,” he whispered to me and I relaxed my fingers as he gently kissed me again and then moved to my neck. I closed my eyes and could hear his blood flowing in his veins. It sounded like a lullaby and almost placed me in a trance. I arched my back as his teeth grazed the skin on my neck.

“Bite me,” I said to him and he paused and then opened his mouth up, biting into my neck. I pulled my legs up as the sensation set my senses on fire.

“Harder,” I said as he increased the pressure.

“Harder!” I screamed as he stopped and looked at me.

“Halo, I am not a vampire. I am a Hound.”

I nodded and touched his face, pulling him to me and kissing him again as he let his weight rest against me. I reached down between us and took his erect cock in my hand and started to stroke him as he moaned in my mouth. I opened my red eyes as I watched his strained expression and his eyes remained closed.

“Look at me,” I whispered to him as he opened his eyes and saw the pupils of my eyes red in color. He parted his lips as I continued to stroke him.

“Can you love me as I am now?” I asked him and he nodded to me as I continued to stroke his
cock up and down, twisting my hand around it as I did so.

“Fuck me,” I said to him and he reached down and stopped me from pleasing him.

“I want to make love to you Halo.”

I nodded to him as he placed a hand under the small of my back and arched it. He slid his cock into me easily as I hissed and reached above me. I dug my sharpened nails into the wood and he grinned at me as my teeth elongated inside of my mouth. I closed my lips and he shook his head ‘no’, so I parted my lips as he thrust forward and I took the entire length of him, pleased that he was not wanting me to hide my teeth.

“Gunner,” I said as he thrust again and again, getting into a rhythm and pressing me harder and harder against the floor. I dug my nails in deeper and then swung them to my sides and broke the floorboards beside us as he pulled me up quickly and away from the hole in the floor. Ari stopped and looked up at the hole and shook his head as Finna pushed him on. He sat on his knees as I wrapped my legs around him and rose up as his hands rested on my sides. He closed his eyes and leaned in, placing his lips to my erect nipple and sucked on it, biting before his lips fully left me. I hissed and looked down at him. He looked up and I kissed him, trying to be careful, but my sharpened fang barely cut into his lip and the blood hit my tongue and my hold on him tightened. He moaned as I moved quicker, my hips rotating against him and bringing him closer to orgasm. I wrapped my hands into his blue hair and wound it in my fingers as we started to come together, right there on the floor, splintered wood all around us and my fangs fully extended and fighting the urge to drink his blood.

He slowed as my pussy tightened on his cock. His moaning making me moan right along with him. His head rested against my chest as his body tensed up and I fought my overwhelming need to bite him. He looked up at me and then turned his head, exposing his neck to me and I started to breathe harder and harder as he submitted to me.

“You can have me.” He whispered.

I bit into his neck and drank his blood, as slowly as I could as my orgasm rose in me and brought on his own. He cried out as I had never heard him do before and Dorin covered his ears and sank into the shadows.

  ****

I sat at the table and stared at my cup. It was filled with blood and Dorin said nothing as Gunner entered with a scratch to his face and visible bruising to both of his arms. He sat down and looked at me and then at Dorin, who I could not read. He sipped on his drink and so I took a drink too. Knowing that I had to drink some blood, I could not completely deny it. I had fought all night not to bite Gunner again after the first time and it was torturous. Gunner had faired pretty well considering I fucked him about 10 times until he finally fell asleep. I had slept some, but not much. I know vampires do not so much sleep as they simply rest from time to time. I had actually fallen asleep and my dreams had consisted of nothing but rivers of blood and fire. The only thing I could be grateful for was my lack of panic about Jet. I had not even mentioned him to Gunner yet, but I knew that I had too.

“I want to talk about my son,” I said as Finna and Ari entered the room and stopped. I looked up at them and Ari took his eyes from mine which was odd. I know I look different now, but no more so than that of Dorin. Perhaps he needs time to accept me as I am now. I know he will have to.

“I agree,” Dorin said as my eyes left Ari and went to his.

  “I want him back.”

“Halo,” Gunner said as he leaned up in his chair and looked at me with compassion. I looked at him and tilted my head.

  “His name is Jet.”

Gunner sighed and looked down at his hands.

“She named him, excellent,” Ari said as both he and Finna took a seat at the table and stared at me.

“Of course I named him, he is my son.”

“He is a hurricane, a death bringer.”

I stood up and knocked my cup over and I watched the blood slowly move across the table. I placed my fingers in it and pulled them to my mouth. Sucking on them and closing my eyes until I realized I was not alone. I pulled my fingers away from my mouth and sat back down as Ari stared at me and so did Finna. Dorin simply drank from his cup and Gunner looked away. I sighed and then decided to speak again.

  “He is a child.”

  Gunner looked up at me.

“He will not be for long. He will grow to be a man and once he is full grown he will have the power to wreck this world and everything in it.”

I shook my head ‘no’. “I don’t believe that he would do that. He would not hurt me.”

Ari slammed his fist on the table.

“Maybe not you, since you are its Mother, but it will lay waste to this entire world and make it as it is in hell.”

I stood up and slammed my fist, cracking the table and the hairline fracture ran across the wood. It stopped as Ari raised his hands from it just in time.

“He is a boy, not an “it. He lives and breathes and is a part of me.”

“Which part of you? The Hellhound, or the human?” I looked up as I smelled him before I saw him. A man stood there in the doorway dressed in all black and I started to move at the speed of light towards him, but Dorin caught me in a flash and held me still as this man looked me over.

“So this is Halo? I see she is adjusting well to being undead.”

“Vampire,” I said as I struggled to break free from Dorin. Dorin leaned into my ear.

“Calm down,” he whispered to me and my struggling slowed. His words almost a drug to me. He released me as I stared at the man before me.

“Who are you, besides a dog?” I asked him and he smiled, his teeth elongated. But unlike my own, he had 2 to each side of his front teeth that had lengthened a bit shorted than my own.

“I am Jack, pack leader of the wolves. We prefer wolf, not dog. I would guess you could appreciate that, blood sucker.” I moved towards him and Dorin spun me away from him and pointed at me.

“Go and eat in the forest. Then collect yourself and rejoin us.”

I sighed and looked at Gunner as he had his arms crossed on his chest.

“Fine.” I left the room as if I had been scolded.

Dorin turned to Jack and extended his hand to him. Jack took it without hesitation.

“I have never been this close to a master without a plan to kill him.”

“I have never been this close to a wolf without making a meal of him,” Dorin replied as Jack began to laugh and so did he.

  Chapter Nine

  Goodbyes

I fed in the forest as Dorin had told me to do. I had run a deer down and eaten it like some barbaric caveman. At least I felt that way, but as I hunted it down something in me felt like it ignited. I had never felt so alive in my life, not as a human or even when I became a Hellhound and the branding had settled deep into my flesh. I sat very still and licked the blood from my hands. I suddenly felt a presence and stood up in a flash as I saw Dorin standing there in the clearing. I rubbed my hands on my pants and looked down at the deer. I felt no shame and it bothered me. I had been careful to not torture the beast. In fact, I had attacked it so quickly it felt nothing and death was swift. Even with that, I knew I should feel more than I did. I could only hope this part would pass.

“Do you feel better?” he asked me and I nodded to him as I wished I could suddenly wash the blood off of me and just return to being normal. The presence of that wolf in the house had set me off and my anger was uncontrollable.

“Why did I want to kill him Dorin? I cannot be like that. I am built to hunt and kill demons and those who attack us. He was not there to do any harm to us.”

He stepped out of the shadows and into the light. I looked up and could see some of the sunlight breaking through the trees overhead and had to be glad that it was just a myth about all of that with vampires. Truth was, the sun helped us heal, as it does all things, so the fact that we mostly hunted at night gave me even more respect for Dorin as I knew he was at a greater risk when he did it. We cannot really help it though. Demons mostly come at
night anyway, mostly.

“I need you do something for me Halo.”

I stared at him as the sun broke across his face and he closed his eyes, enjoying it as if he had never had enough of it.

He then opened his eyes and looked at me.

“I need you to kill me.”

I shook my head and the world tilted slightly as the words floated from his mouth and into the air around me.

  “What…no, what do you mean?”

Dorin took a step towards me and his expression was calm.

“You will never be free of me Halo. I made you and you belong to me. Our bond can only be broken with my death. I know this to be true as I had no free will of my own until I killed Vlad and it was then that I truly strengthened and became who I am today. I had to fight with everything I had to kill him. It should be easier for you since you are also a Hound.”
