I drew in a deep breath and focused on calm. On light and love and peace. I pictured my little daughter resting in my arms. Closing my eyes, I thought, I love you little one. Mommy loves you.
When I looked down, she was staring up at me, focused on my face. Almost as though...she had heard me.
She looked deeply into my eyes, and she smiled.

Like many authors, when I wrote my first book, I couldn’t begin to realize how much I didn’t know. I was so very blessed to be surrounded by people who kept me from making huge mistakes and who guided me, helped me and took pity on me at every step.

Julie Titus was my first formatter, and she is, was, and ever will be the most amazingly generous, kind person I have ever known—not to mention awesomely talented.
My current covers for each book were designed by Christine Powell Gomez, who does not do covers—but made an exception for me. I love each and every one. And she didn’t kill me while we were doing them, so there’s that.
Stephanie Nelson of Once Upon A Time Covers did the box set cover. Love it, as always. She blows my mind each time.
