“Helen?” Romero was surprised to see her, he hadn’t been expecting anyone and least of all her.
“Hi Romero. I was beginning to think you weren’t home.”
“Are you alright?” He asked looking at her closely, he wasn’t sure why she was here but he hoped it was for a good reason. He looked at her hand quickly and saw her enormous engagement ring was still there, sending disappointment through him.
“Yes I’m fine. I was just visiting Cathy and I thought I would come and see you whilst I was here.”
Romero opened the gate to let her through and waited for Helen to walk past before he shut it behind her. Helen walked straight inside his house through the open front door like she was returning home. She wasn’t sure what kind of reception she had expected, but she had hoped for more than this. In terms of Spanish greetings this was positively cool, verging on freezing!
“No hug hello.” She half joked as she turned around seeing Romero closing the front door behind them.
Romero looked at Helen – he wasn’t sure what she wanted, but she was here now, in his house, and obviously there just to see him. What he really wanted to do was give her the biggest hug he had ever given anyone, and follow that up with the most passionate kisses to her curvy tempting lips, and then down her neck letting them take him where they may. He sighed deciding he couldn’t do that, so he closed the gap between them and put his arms around her pulling her in towards him and held her close.
Helen wrapped her arms around Romero and relished the feeling of his bare shoulder against her cheek. She breathed deeply taking in every little scent of him. God how she had missed him - his smell, the feeling of his arms around her, and the feeling of his bare skin against hers. She could feel his breath just inches from her lips, it was hot and coming hard and fast. If she just leant across a few inches she would be kissing him, and the temptation to move those few tiny inches was enormous! But she couldn’t. She wanted to so much that every fibre of her body screamed at her to put her lips to his and to hell with everything else, but her mind told her she was a good person and she couldn’t do that to Oliver - that would be blatantly cheating, and that was something she wouldn’t do. And what if she did kiss Romero? She was already being driven mad by memories of the two of them together - their bodies entwined together in mind-blowing moments of passion, and how he felt and tasted. This would just tip her over the edge! She took a deep breath and moved back from him, still in his arms, but far enough not to feel his breath on her lips.
“I wanted to thank you properly. Everything went so fast when you took me back to Estepona that I didn’t get a chance to thank you properly.”
Romero cursed to himself - she wanted to thank him for taking her back to her fiancé and her old life, and there he was holding her in his arms feeling like she had come home to him, where she belonged! He let his arms drop away and stepped back.
“I was just doing my job.” He said as he walked past her, going through into the kitchen leaving her to catch up with him. “Coffee?” He called over his shoulder as he headed to the perculator. He took two mugs out from the cupboard as she nodded.
“I think you did a lot more than that for me.” She didn’t want to broach the subject of them becoming lovers, but she knew he had never taken someone into his home the way he had done for her, Cathy had told her as much. “You gave me a home and looked after me. I will always be very grateful for that.”
Romero fished for something to say while the perculator spluttered away. He didn’t want to ask Helen any of the questions which were really going around in his head, so he tried to find some small talk. “Are you enjoying being back at work? Did that journalist thing go well?” He asked referring to when he last saw her.
“Yes it was good thank you. The smaller yachts were my idea, so Oliver wanted me to take charge of the sales and marketing for it. It keeps me busy.” She said smiling.
“Ah yes, Oliver Chapman. Yacht owner and multi-millionaire. Quite some fiancé to be going home to, huh?” Romero said smiling, teasing her.
Helen didn’t know what to say, but she wished he wouldn’t look at her with his eyes sparkling like that, it was making her heart flutter and butterflies flurry around in her stomach.
Helen decided she needed to get away from the subject of Oliver, he was the last person she wanted to talk about at the moment, “So how is work, anything interesting been happening?”
“Just the usual, but I have some time off now.” He said as he watched her walk across to the fridge and take out the milk just like she used to when she lived there. Romero smiled, amused at how easily they had fallen back into the old routine of making coffee in his kitchen. She moved him aside as she reached for the cups and added the milk. Finally she poured in the hot coffee and stirred it around. Romero decided enough was enough, and he couldn’t resist the temptation anymore. Whatever would be, would be, but for now he was going to do what he wanted to do, and he had a feeling that Helen wouldn’t be there right now if she didn’t feel the same way too.
Helen felt Romero close behind her. His body was gently pressed up against hers and his hand moved her long hair aside as he placed a single gentle kiss at the slope of her neck. She stopped what she was doing and cleared her throat. “Are you going to put some clothes on Romero?” referring to his still half undressed state.
“No.” He answered, his voice deep and velvety.
Helen felt that one simple word vibrate through every part of her body. She slowly turned around in the tiny space she had between Romero and the kitchen worktop.
He was leaning ever so slightly towards her with a mischievous grin on his face, “Are you going to take some clothes off?”
Helen started to say his name but before the words could leave her mouth Romero’s lips descended on hers, and he was kissing her with every sense of his being.
Helen threw her arms around Romero and pulled him tightly against her as she returned his deep kisses. She was vaguely aware of his hands moving something behind her, and then she was lifted up, perched on top of the worktop with her legs wrapped around his waist as his bare chest pressed hard against her aching breasts. She could hear Romero muttering her name as his lips moved from her mouth, down her neck and along her collarbone as his hands moved her shirt aside to make way for his mouth and hot tongue. She arched her head back and pulled him closer.
Romero kissed Helen like she was the essence of life itself. He had lain in bed every night remembering how crazy her mouth and touch had made him feel. But even those memories hadn’t compared to how he felt right now, his thirst for her was insatiable. Romero knew he shouldn’t be kissing Helen like this, it was against everything he had always stood for. But he didn’t care, not right now. He needed Helen and he would take whatever she was willing to give him just this once.
Helen felt Romero’s hand move to hers and his fingers closed over her engagement ring. Slowly and gently he pulled the ring from her finger and placed it on the worktop. She didn’t stop him, she just looked into his eyes feeling like she was falling into his soul, and then closed them again as he began to kiss her, letting the feeling of having him back engulf her. Helen held onto Romero, enjoying the feeling of him between her legs as he lifted her up and walked with her towards his bedroom. She had never been so sure of where she wanted to be as right now, and she was happy that was where they were heading!
Romero sat down on the bed with Helen’s legs still wrapped around him. He savoured her kisses as she nibbled at his ear and kissed down his neck. Finally his fingers found the buttons on her shirt and undid them swiftly. He pushed away the delicate fabric letting it fall away to the floor and thought he was going to go crazy as he held her bra enclosed breast in his hands. He felt Helen wriggle against him, pushing herself further into his hands as he teased her with his thumbs rubbing across the soft lacy material.
“Romero.” Helen murmured as she knelt up on the bed, legs still astride him and reached back to unhooked her
bra, throwing it to the side - she needed to be closer to him and feel his skin on hers. She needed his hands to touch her the way she needed to be touched.
Romero wasted no time, his mouth descended on her breasts and his hands moulded themselves to Helen’s buttocks, bringing her down hard against his manhood. He heard her moan with pleasure as he moved her hips backwards and forwards against him. Romero didn’t think he could bear another minute of not being inside her. Gently he lifted Helen off him and onto the bed. He stood and quickly put his gun into the drawer next to his bed, and then unzipped his jeans and dropped them to the floor, followed swiftly by his boxers.
Helen lay on the bed waiting for him smiling, watching him. Romero marvelled at her sexiness - she didn’t need fancy sexy lingerie to turn him on, she was driving him mad just by being on his bed. He reached for the button on her skirt and flicked it open, then slowly he pulled the zip down not losing eye contact with her for one moment. He put his hands under her and pulled her round bottom closer to him as he pulled her skirt off. Romero looked at the tiny white triangle of fabric covering her and let his tongue trace the outside of the material. Helen threw her arms above her head as she stretched out like a cat hooking one leg behind Romero bringing him in closer. She felt his fingers hook inside her panties pulling them down and then she felt him there.
He took Helen by surprise, a beautiful warm moist surprise. Romero parted Helen’s legs and kissed her in her most intimate place, letting his tongue gently caress her, tasting her sweetness. She reached for him. She needed him inside her, to consume her. Right now Romero was driving her crazy with desire and she didn’t know how to control it. Her hands grabbed at his shoulders and he loved the effect he was having on her - he loved that he could drive her into such a frenzy. One strong hand grabbed both of hers and held them tightly as his other hand pulled her hips closer to him and he drank her in, teasing her with his lips and tongue as he went. Finally when Helen didn’t think she could take anymore Romero pulled back and climbed on top of her.
“Now you are ready.” He said teasingly, intensely watching her face as he slowly entered his hardness inside her, feeling her soft and swollen around him. He enjoyed every tiny expression on her face, he could see the sheer ecstasy of each movement he made inside her, and within seconds Helen arched up calling out his name as she ran her nails down his back, digging them in as the most euphoric explosion engulfed her. Romero held back, he could have let go right there and then and his body was crying out for him to do so, but he wanted more. He wanted every part of Helen and this was just the beginning.
Romero paused waiting for Helen to regain her breath, and then smiled down at her wickedly. Helen laughed and reached for him, pulling his head down to kiss her whilst moving her hips below him, telling him she wanted more. As amazing as she felt, she could see Romero wanted to play, and she was more than ready to play his game. She nudged him to roll over, and rolled with him never letting him leave her. She sat astride Romero and moved rhythmically on top of him, playing with her hair on top of her head giving him the full benefit of her exposed breasts. Romero lay there feeling like he had died and gone to heaven as Helen moved on top of him; the sensation of being inside her whilst watching her move erotically on top of him was mind-blowing. He held onto her thighs and encouraged each deep thrust she made on him until he could feel himself coming so close to the edge, too close.
Romero wasn’t ready to come yet, he didn’t want to, but his rock-hardness was going to betray him with its ecstasy if he didn’t stop Helen soon. He used his strong arms to playfully throw her off him and swiftly moved around behind her as she knelt on the bed, hands braced against the wall. Romero paused for a moment savouring the erotic sight of her in front of him, then he slid himself inside her once again as she arched herself back to meet him. Romero ran kisses along Helen’s shoulders and down her back as he gently moved inside her, being careful not to hurt her. Helen pushed back against him meeting every thrust with one of her own. She was already sensitive from the most amazing orgasm she had ever experienced and now she was in danger of being thrown over the edge one more time. “Romero!” She called out as she begged him to stop and begged him for more all at the same time.
“Sí mi amor.” Romero rumbled in her ear as he held her around her waist with one hand and moved his other hand down her stomach to her sensitive area. Helen gasped as she felt Romero’s fingers move gently in time with his thrusts until she couldn’t take anymore, and finally she called out his name in sheer pleasure once again.
Romero felt Helen sink back against him in utter contentment and now he knew he was ready. He withdrew and slowly turned Helen over on the bed marvelling at her beauty as she lay there before him, happy and contented. He slid himself inside her one final time and kissed her on the lips gently, lovingly, as he moved rhythmically until he knew he could hold back no more. Finally Romero let himself go and flew over the cliff to utter abandonment, losing himself to the most incredible sensation he had ever known!
Romero lay beside Helen on the bed, holding her in his arms, feeling her fingers absently playing with the sprinkling of hairs on his chest.
“Tu estás bien?” he asked hoping she wasn’t regretting anything now, because he certainly wasn’t.
Helen didn’t answer, she just nodded her head rubbing it against his bare skin and closed her eyes to sleep. She didn’t want to say a word, she didn’t want this moment to end, and right now she just wanted to sleep in Romero’s arms one more time.
When Helen woke she realised she was alone in Romero’s bed. Not only that, but she realised it was getting dark outside and she cursed as she jumped out of bed. She reached for her clothes, finding them folded neatly on the chair where Romero had put them, and rushed to the bathroom. As she showered quickly she wondered what she was had been thinking! Now the cold light of day had hit her, or rather the impending darkness of night time and the urgent need to get to the helipad to return home to Oliver, she couldn’t believe she had let herself be carried away by the chemistry they shared. Helen didn’t blame Romero, not one bit. He was free and single and could engage in a bit of fun if he wanted to. But not her - she wasn’t free and certainly not single. She cursed herself one last time before dressing and left the bathroom.
Helen found Romero in the kitchen. He was preparing something which smelt truly wonderful and she wished she could stay and taste it, but she looked at her watch and it was past eight o’clock already. She was due at the helipad by nine o’clock.
“I am cooking dinner.” Romero said pointing to the pan on the oven.
“It smells amazing, but I can’t stay. Sorry.” Helen said feeling bad. She knew it must have come across just as bad as she thought it sounded, but she had no choice. If she wasn’t at the helipad at nine o’clock she had no doubt that Oliver would send someone to look for her, or he would come looking for her himself.
Romero couldn’t believe his ears, “You’re going to go, just like that?”
“I have to.”
“No, you don’t.” Romero said knowing that he was being unfair - he had known she wore another man’s ring when he started this, but he couldn’t help it.
Helen didn’t answer him. She didn’t want to argue, and she didn’t want to go any more than it looked like he wanted her to either, but she was cutting it fine on time as it was. She walked passed him and picked up her engagement ring from the side, sliding it back onto her finger.
Romero watched as the ring slid onto Helen’s finger feeling like a sword had pierced his heart. He didn’t think he would ever forget that moment for as long as he lived. He turned back to the oven as she walked towards him to say goodbye.
“Please Romero.” Helen said as she stood looking at his back.
He didn’t turn around, “Goodbye Helen. Take care.”
With a heavy heart Helen didn’t say another word as she walked to the kitchen table to pick up her handbag. Then she stopped and looked at the pile of photograp
hs and paperwork on the table. Slowly she turned a picture around so it was the right way up and looked at it carefully. “Romero, who is this?” She asked slowly.
Romero turned off the oven and turned around wondering what Helen was talking about. Realising his mistake he rushed across and closed the file she was looking at, taking the photograph out of her hands. “You shouldn’t be looking at that Helen, that’s confidential.”
“That man, who is he?” She asked him again.
“I don’t know? Why?” Romero asked seeing she was serious.
“That’s the man I told you about at Juan’s bar, the one who was watching me. The same man who sat down at the café when I was having lunch in Benidorm. He thought he recognised me but then he said that he was mistaken.” Helen looked at Romero, why did he have a photo of the strange man who had freaked her out that day?
“Are you sure this is the same man?” Romero said handing her back the photograph to look at again, but keeping the rest of the file closed and away from her eyes.
Helen looked at it closely and nodded her head, she was definite that was him.
“I don’t know who he is yet. His name is Frank and he’s English, that’s all we know. Is there anything you can remember about him?” Romero was interested to learn anything more about the man.
