Gwen’s story was a challenge, not because I didn’t want to write it, but because she was more complicated than I planned on. When I finally sat down while visiting Salem, MA, and talked with Mark Tufo and his lovely wife, they convinced me this book needed to be two stories. From there, it flowed.
