“Are you sure this isn’t a prank?” Rashida asked.

“Nympha is an NPC. She couldn’t have done it by herself, and we didn’t tell anyone about Immortuos. The only thing we can do is search for Steveinsh and ask him who Debil is, and why he helped us.”

“Then it’s settled. Our first goal when we reach Immortuos will be looking for that guy…” Joannie was saying

“… and trying to survive,” Kitty added, interrupting her.

“Don’t forget about finding Krepo? Kripo? Krespo?” Trent added.

“Oh, yes. Tillian’s acquaintance. I suppose we’ll do that, too.” Joannie sighed.

We left Joannie to take care of the boat and walked to the city. There weren’t many people online, but those who were ran toward us and began chanting our names. Foxy and her friends were surprised, but didn’t waste any time and joined the choir.

  I missed this.

Having no worries and being treated like a hero. It was quite the dream, one that wouldn’t last long if I didn’t focus on the task ahead. We thanked everyone and explained that we had to rest because the world wasn’t safe yet. Their expressions shifted to a more joyless look. I wanted to tell them they would be fine, but I didn’t want to make promises I wasn’t sure if I could keep.

We got to the resting place and went to our rooms.

We had agreed to meet there five hours after a quick rest and then we would spend the whole night training. I was about to log out when someone knocked on my door.

  Chapter VIII

“Come in,” I said as I sat on my bed.

“You should decorate this place, you know? It has no soul.” Foxy said, and walked up to me, “I told you I would reward you.”

“Will you? How?” I said, teasing her.

She undressed right before my eyes. First her shirt, then her pants. She stood before me, only with black matching underwear. She had middle-sized boobs, and a firm, round ass. I gripped it tightly and pulled her closer until her boobs were bouncing on my face. It had been days since the last time I fucked and I truly needed to release all the stress. I wasn’t even counting the thing I had with Brie for obvious reasons.

Foxy knelt in front of me, unzipped my pants and took them off. She wasn’t going to waste any time, and I wasn’t going to stop her. My cock was hard and begging for her tantalizing lips to touch it. She wrapped them around my length and slid down slowly. Despite being younger than the other women I had been with she seemed experienced. The way she bobbed her head up and down and twirled her tongue around the tip confirmed that. She went all the way to the base of my cock and didn’t even stop when she gaged on it.

In fact, the more she choked the more she seemed to be enjoying it.

“Don’t stop. Fuck.” I muttered, grabbing a handful of her hair and moving my hips against her. I made sure I destroyed her tiny mouth. Saliva slipped from her mouth and down her chin. When I finally slowed my pace, I ordered her to lay on the bed with her legs wide open, which she did.

I grasped her inner thighs and kissed her up to them as I slid one finger up and down over her panties, making her body squirm. Teasing was the best part. Watching her lose control made me harder than before, and I couldn’t wait anymore to have a taste of her precious secret. I lowered her panties and watched as strings of wetness dripped down her gleaming slit.

She giggled and apologized for being so wet already.

“This isn’t a problem, Foxy. I like it.” I said, before running my tongue along her slit.

Her body writhed with pleasure, and she tousled my hair as I licked her. I inserted two curved fingers inside her, and rocked them back and forth, hastening my pace and making sure I was hitting the right spot. Her back arched as she begged me to suck her clit, which I promptly did, wrapping my lips around it and pulling softly.

“I’m going to cum if you don’t stop.” She said.

She was telling me exactly what to do, I didn’t stop. Her legs trembled, and the bed creaked. Her moans were getting louder and her boobs swung. I kept a steady pace, two fingers inside her, and the tongue doing circular motions on her clit. It took less than five minutes to make her orgasm.

I was getting better, and it was all due to the game.

“Get on all fours,” I demanded her.

Her ass was amazing, and she had creamy juices sliding down her slit. I penetrated her and started slowly. She gasped as inch by inch I put my whole length inside her. I hastened my pace, and she matched my movements. I was in that situation where I hadn’t cum for so long that a five-minute fuck was equal to fifteen minutes. Despite trying my best I could feel the energy boiling inside me, and ready to come out. I fucked her well enough for her to reach a second orgasm and as soon as I felt her pussy clenching around my cock I warned her I needed to cum.

“in my mouth, please.” She said.

I pulled out, and she knelt in front of me with her mouth wide open. She was eager to swallow all of it and I wasn’t going to disappoint her. I shoot a huge load inside her mouth. Some went on her cheeks and nose. She grabbed my cock by the base and sucked the tip until I pushed her away. My cock was getting sore.

“This was nice.” She said, “We should do it once more before you leave to Immortuos.”

  “Definitely.”

She grabbed her clothes, got dressed, and left the room. It was time to rest.

I logged out and jumped straight onto my bed. I set the alarm clock to ring in 4 hours. It should be enough to take care of real-life stuff before logging in.

I woke up naked and in a gloomy alley. I heard voices despite having no one around me. The alley had a wall on each side and they began to move slowly toward me. There was no way to get out of there, except for a sharp knife on the ground. Whoever left me there wanted me to kill myself. I hold it in my hand and asked myself if that was what I wanted. It was that or getting splayed. I was about to cut my wrists when a buzzing noise woke me up.

This time it was real. I was on my bed and completely drenched. I rubbed my eyes and pinched myself, making sure it wasn’t another dream.

Before taking a good shower I stretched my arms and legs. It had been a while since my last time and my bones popped as I did it. I even went to the small market near my home and bought food that hadn’t expired, unlike the things I had at home. I cooked a nice meal and had dinner alone, the solitude hugged and comforted me.

There wasn’t anything interesting on the news, nor in the forums. More people were complaining about the faceless man but the company had yet to announce anything about it. They had to know something fishy was going on, but I suppose they didn’t want to scare their investors. As long as they could keep this away from the mass media they would. There were only a few people who had died in the real world, and the deaths were ruled as an accident. Someone was posting on the forum that the company wasn’t expecting the players to be hit with such strong shocks and the brain was being fried whilst they were still trying to figure out a solution. When I finished reading it was already time to log in.

Everyone was already there and waiting for me, including Foxy.

“Good to see you again.” She said and winked at me.

  “What are you doing here?”

“I asked Brie if I could join you. I know I have to level up a lot, and that I have a lot to learn, but I’m willing to put in the extra effort to do it. I’ve always enjoyed a good challenge.”

“Did Brie tell you that you can also die in the real world if the faceless man gets you?”

“She did, I’m not afraid to die. Don’t worry too much about me.” She replied.

She seemed to have made up her mind so there wasn’t anything else I could do. If there was something I had learned, it was that when a woman had something on her mind the best I could do was to help her or to get out of her way.

Brie led us to the forest where I had trained before going to Riverdant. However, she made a detour, and we went in a different direction.

  I f
ucking knew it.

They had discovered a place to train that was full of monsters ranging from levels 5 to 7.

Joannie met us there after a few hours and brought special tents with her. They could be used as a resting place, and we could log out there. We spent the next two days there, training from sunrise to sunset. At night we would make a bonfire and eat the animals’ meat, which surprisingly tasted delicious and real.

  We learned lots of things.

Trent, Brie, and I made a hell of a team. Trent and I worked together to get the enemy tired while Brie would gather enough energy to strike him with her fire magic.

I was also beginning to be able to use dark magic. However, I decided not to tell anyone about it. I had figured out how to stop time, but it only lasted for two seconds. Sometimes it was all I needed to get back into a fight. Everyone just thought I was getting faster, and I confirmed it. If they knew I was using dark magic, they would tell me not to, especially after what had happened to Jones. Yet, I knew how powerful it was and how useful it could be. Above all, it made me feel good and powerful and I had never felt so strong.

Joannie, Foxy, and Rashida also worked brilliantly together. Rashida would shoot several icy arrows making the enemies freeze while Joannie wielded and swung her sword against them. Even if they survived her attack the sneaky Foxy would already be behind them, ready to behead their heads.

On our last day there, we drank in honor of Jones. Everyone told a story about him and we laughed and cried. There were fear and uncertainty, but there was also hope. We could die, but we wouldn’t go down without a fight.

“You know the drill. Tomorrow at 12.” Brie said, “Don’t forget that before going to the harbor we have to go buy potions.”

  We all said our goodbyes.

Tomorrow was the day. Immortuos was waiting for us, and we had no idea what existed there. The island of the dead, or for those who wanted to be dead. We still had to find Krespo, who Debil was, and if Steveinsh really existed and was willing to help us.

I was now level 9, Joannie was level 14, Brianna 13, and the rest were on level 12, except for Foxy who was level 7 and had a new special attack that consisted of creating three copies of herself. At her level, she could only keep them for fifteen seconds.

Back in the real world, I found solace in my bedroom. The dim light helped me as I went to the kitchen to grab a meal before sleeping. I ended up sitting on a chair and turning on the television.

“The ex-employee that stole important technology from The Enterprise Corporations has been caught. He vows that he wanted to scare them and had no intention of using it. He’s under police’s supervision.”

Odd, if he isn’t the faceless man who the hell could he be? One more plot twist and I was sure my head would explode. Well, it didn’t matter, we would find him, kill him, and save the world of Online Fantasy Harem.

I was about to lie on my bed when someone knocked on my door.

Fuck. It was at 2 am.

Who would be rude enough to knock on someone else’s door at that time of the night? People really have no respect for others. I peeked through the door hole and on the other side stood a man in his forties. He had bruises all over his face and leaned against the wall. I had never seen him in my life and he didn’t seem the kind type. He kept knocking, each time harder and the noise was turning into a huge nuisance.

“Who are you and why are you knocking at my door in the middle of the night? I live here alone. You’re annoying the wrong person.” I shouted.

As soon as I heard his voice I knew who he was. My body fell into sleep mode, and my mind tried to think of what to do. Was it really him? It could be someone pretending to be him. However, the voice was exactly the same. And I couldn’t say it surprised me him being a middle-aged man.

“I’m sorry.” He said, “It’s Jones. We need to talk.”

  Part 3

  Chapter I

I promptly opened the door. His melancholy presence discomforted me, and I was bothered enough to give a few steps back when he entered but not enough to expel him. He followed me into my bedroom, where I motioned him to lie down on my bed. I had to help him since he kept complaining of back pain every time he moved.

At last, I went into the kitchen, where I took a slice of a fresh chocolate cake out of the fridge; doubts and questions filling my mind. He should be recovering in a hospital, not in my room, and definitely not breathing more through his mouth than his nose. Constant burps had become his thing, and it was driving me crazy. However, I knew he had to have a good reason. Jones was never one to make hasty decisions. If he came to me, he had made the conscious decision to do so and I was intrigued.

“What are you doing here?” I asked him, as I handed him the slice.

“I’m too weak to log in. I’ve been doing some digging and I found out something that could prove to be useful. There are rumors that the faceless man surfaced after Kino disappeared.”

“Who the hell is Kino?” I inquired, interrupting him.

“Right. You only started a week ago. Kino was Wild Fantasy’s best player for as long as I can remember. One day he went traveling but he never came back. People thought he had quit, that the game had become too easy for him. But a conspiracy theory that he fell into the darkness has been growing. There are people who really believe that and I might be one of them, at least I’m inclined to do so. It’s the only option that seems believable.”

“I’ll tell the others. But how do you defeat him? Knowing his identity is a good first step but won’t help us win.”

“Well…about that… I have no idea.” He replied, making brief pauses to breathe.

I recounted what happened in the harbor, about Nympha and the letter, and questioned him about the symbol. Curiosity flooded his brain and he thought about it.

A look of interest surged behind his eyes.

“I’ve seen that but I can’t remember where. If I’m not mistaken it belongs to a group. I’m sorry. My brain isn’t fully working yet.”

“Don’t worry, we have time. But you still haven’t told me why you’re here. Why me?”

“We needed to talk. Look, I felt a stronger darkness in you than I’ve felt in anyone since I started playing. It can be instrumental in destroying the faceless man but it can also lead you to death. You should be afraid of it. Until you learn how to control it you should never let it have its way. The more you obey the more control it has on you, you understand?” He said, and sighed, “You saw what happened to me. It was too much and I lost control.”

“I understand, would you teach how me to control it? At least how to do that magic barrier you did on Brianna and Joannie’s fight. It might be useful in Immortuos.”

“You’re forgetting that this is a game, I can’t teach you. Are you already level 8?” He asked, intrigued.

  “I am level 9. Why?”

“Well, you might be close. I suppose you only need a high-risk situation to unlock it. That’s how it happened to me, and it saved my life. Shouldn’t you be online by now?”

I grabbed my phone and looked at the time. 11:59 am. Fuck. I had one minute to be online and I hadn’t eaten yet. Well, they’d probably understand. This unexpected situation had caught me off-guard.

“I’m just going to eat and shower and I’ll log in. We’re sailing to Immortuos today. You can rest on my bed. If you need something to eat while I’m playing the fridge is full. I’ll try to be back in a few hours.” I told him.

  “Don’t worry ab
out me. I just need to sleep and I’ll be fine. You better stop wasting time, you know Brianna doesn’t like delays.”

Shit. He was right. She would complain before I even tell her why I was late. Then, she would regret it and apologize. I had everything figured out. Jones asked me for a glass of water as I was on my way to the kitchen. I ended up grabbing a slice of the cake for me, and a bottle of water for him. Before I ate I took a quick shower and put a few towels on the side in case he wanted to take one too. He probably couldn’t even get up, let alone take a shower, but it was still a kind gesture.

“Be careful. Immortuos won’t be easy.” He said while I ate.

“We’ll be fine. Your lack of hope concerns me.” I said as I put the plate on the glass table I had in my room, “I’m going to log in now. Make sure you rest.”

  “I will” He muttered.

After I logged in I realized I hadn’t told him about my new special attack, time paralysis. It was important but it didn’t even cross my mind. I wondered if the darkness in me prevented me from remembering it, or if I had just simply forgotten about it. Nowadays things were a bit messy in my head. A turmoil had taken over me and I had trouble understanding if I made my decisions or the voices did.

I returned to the restroom and it was already 12:20. All the NPC’s and players greeted me as I ran through the dusty roads and dimly lit alleys of Viribirus. I didn’t even stop to breathe. The heat glued my clothes to my body and covered them with my own sweat.

When I got to the harbor I could see everyone already there. It was like I was reliving my past. The day I joined the team, the moment where our trip started. It was only a few days ago but to me, it was like a lifetime had gone by and we were still there.

“Why am I not surprised that you’re late?” Brianna said as I walked toward them.

“This time I have a good reason,” I replied.

“Sure you do. Tell us then.”

She was still mad at me, and I could understand why. I had killed someone in front of her without even hesitating and then I tried to kill her while we were fucking. There was nothing I could do for now. I hoped she would forgive me but in the meantime, there were things to do. The faceless man wouldn’t wait until we found a way to destroy him, so we couldn’t waste time.
