All Is Bright: (A Paranormal Holiday Novella) Page 11

by P. Jameson

She moaned her agreement while his finger still worked her sex closer to an orgasm. She was racing there. It wouldn’t take long at all.

The sound of a zipper, the brush of denim against her thighs, and then he was pressing into her with his thick hardness. She used the sleeve of her jacket to muffle the moan of pleasure at his invasion, and Malcom leaned over her back to whisper in her ear.

“Never sleeping away from you again. Last night sucked ass.”

“Never want to wake up without you again either. Got it?”

He thrust hard. “Yes, ma’am. Yes, my Queen.”

Queen. She’d be that, if he was the King.

It reminded her of his beast. He was majestic. And now he was going to be all hers.

Three more thrusts of his powerful hips and she was falling off the edge. Pleasure wracked her body as she twitched under Malcom.

A sharp swipe of pain lit her backside and she thought he’d given her a spanking. It wasn’t an altogether unwelcome idea. But then she felt the warm trickle of blood and new this was his mating mark.

He’d clawed her. That was so hot.

The mere idea sent her into another fluttering orgasm, and then she felt his release flood her body. This time felt different than any of the others. This time it was more than just his orgasm. It was his everything and she could feel it through the awareness of their bond.

The achy, wanting, burning that surrounded all the good feelings they’d shared seemed to somehow evaporate. Like whatever commitment they’d just made, wiped it all away. Any doubt. Any fear. It was all gone, leaving just the golden strand of love they shared.

Unbreakable. Unshakeable. Two becoming one, in a way she never could have imagined.

“Do you feel it?” he rasped, still twitching inside her.

“Yes,” she breathed. “It’s gone. The pain. The fire.”

“Not gone. Changed. Like my animal.”

He was right. Their bond was transformed. Solid. Permanent. Perfect. Everything she wanted and everything he needed.

He pulled out, and she felt his lips on the claw mark he’d made. She held her breath while he kissed it. “It will heal beautifully. Leave a little scar to remember it by.”

  Good. It felt right.

Malcom pulled her to a stand, easing her pants back over her ass, careful not to rub them against her wound. He zipped his jeans and then met her gaze. His eyes were pale and slanted. His beast was near.

She touched the skin beneath them. “I love you too,” she told the animal, and a purr rumbled his chest. “All of you, Malcom.”

He hugged her close, inhaling at her neck like he was drawing in her new scent. “I love you too, Bright Spot.”

  “We match,” she whispered.

After a while, he pulled back, eyeing her with a curious smile on his face. “Actually, we don’t. Are you wearing candy cane pajamas under that coat?”

She grinned back at him. “You like candy canes. Candy canes brought you to my store.”

“You should know, I had plans to buy a candy cane everyday just so I could see you again.”

“You should know, I made you keep my favorite mug in hopes that you’d bring it back so I could see you again.”

She wound her arms around his neck. He brushed his thumb over her cheek.

“Mate, are you saying I’m your A-choice?”

Francesca shook her head. “I’m saying you’re my every choice. And always will be.”

Malcom kissed her promise away, and she knew that every Christmas after this, would be a day they celebrated. A day the past no longer caged them, loneliness couldn’t hurt them, and the future shone bright as a Christmas star.
