The Elements Community
The Elements community on Google Plus exists for those who want to join. I post and chat on topics ranging from history, archaeology, esoterica, sources of inspiration and research into the developing time- and storylines ‘the elements behind The Elements’.
Your help is needed to spread the word!
This independently published project is not actively marketed – other than by online platform and by social media. If you enjoyed the story and the universe it is a part, please tell others about it. The Elements aims to grow and become adapted for television and can only realize potential by word of mouth – recommendations by readers, to people you know.
If you are able to support the project by telling others, or by writing online posts, reviews or articles, please share your thoughts to help bring The Elements to a wider audience. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any ideas how you could help – as we say, ‘the proof of the pudding is only in the eating’, and a recipe once created is there to be improved on.

An Expression of Gratitude
Only now, can The Elements adventure truly begin...
An author once wrote, ‘writing your first book is like planning the biggest party of your life’ – and you don’t know if anyone is going to show up! The verdict is still out on that one. One thing is for sure, this book took a very long time getting here. And – a whole series has grown out of it.
One of the most important things in life is to do what you really want to do, then balance the costs and stick at it. What I really want to do starts with this book: After 10 years of drafting, researching, planning, sharing and developing, I’m proud to say ‘The Elements is born’, and in the words of the great Frank Sinatra, ‘I did it my way’. Until then, a few words of gratitude for those whose help has made The Elements possible:
First thanks goes to my ever patient best friend and supportive wife who has always been there and who is always been by my side: Words are not enough.
A special thanks goes to those friends who have supported me along the way, all of whom have been invaluable in pointing out where the story did not shine. A special expression of gratitude goes to my mother for being my first working Editor – and to Ivar M. – I look forward to more walks in the woods, all your advice has been implemented!
Special thanks goes to Australian author Linda Hurley for being my sparring partner throughout, as well as support, critic, listener – and mate.
Thanks to eagle-eyed Editor Janine L – and to those friends who have acted as beta-readers and commented on the developing manuscript.
I’ve been told so many times by other authors, engaging readers on social media is only valid when you already have a book out there. That’s not true. From the start, I wanted to share what has for me, been a roller-coaster ride of an adventure, researching, writing then publishing. I would whole-heartedly encourage any other emerging writer to do the same. So to the fans on The Elements community on Google Plus, thanks to you all.
A special mention goes to the talented photographer of the Molotov line Piotr Tyminksi. Peter S and Claire T – thanks so much you for your constant support, you were the first and I hope I have lived up to expectations. That support has meant much along the way.
A final thanks to all those authors on the writing communities on Google Plus who have helped with advice with anything and everything from new resources, setting up homepages, formatting and platform-building. So thanks to UK authors Steve Turnbull and Dave Higgins; to the guru-advice always offered to newcomers to independent publishing by US author Nathan Lowell, and to US author DL Keur for sparring and valuable feedback – thank you all!
