I looked at her belly, shocked that I hadn’t even realized that she was pregnant. She didn’t make it obvious either since she was wearing an oversized tunic. Pregnancy suited her.

  “Really?” I squealed.

She nodded. “I’ll be a mama by next season.”

“I’m so happy for you. I remembered seeing you at the auction. I thought you were so lucky when Vaxar chose you.”

“I am lucky, but you’re next. I can feel it.”

I looked back down the path at our warriors. They were now deep in conversation, but that didn’t stop them from glancing over at us periodically.

“We could raise our babies together,” Aurora added, squeezing my hands.

“I hope so, Aurora. I really do.”

This could’ve very well been a dream, but I didn’t want to wake up from it.

Meriuam had just left about a half hour ago after checking my vitals and making sure that I was still healthy. Zark had sent word to her two days prior when I recalled the name of the poison I was injected with on Earth. After multiple tests inside and outside the lab, it was determined that I had less than two percent of the poison remaining in my bloodstream. I wasn’t sure if or when I’d ever gain all of my memories back, but I was content with what I’d gained for now.

There was a tree a short five-minute walk away from Zark’s property that produced maple fruit. I’d only just found out about it yesterday when he brought one for me to try. Although rough and barbed on the outside, the flesh of the fruit was surprisingly sweet and juicy. The seed inside contained a thick syrup that tasted like what we used to pile on top of our pancakes on Earth. There was even a waffle recipe in the book I was gifted that called for maple fruit syrup and I was determined to make it for Zark and I just in time for brunch.

Zark hadn’t gone far. I could still hear his voice as he chatted with the other scouts and warriors about the project. He had recently assembled a team, and soon, they’d all go to the outer lands with the sole purpose of drafting up the boundaries of the new settlement. It meant that he’d be gone for a few days, maybe even a week. I told him I’d be fine, but I knew I’d miss him when he was away.

Although I would rather have Zark all to myself, I knew the time we spent apart was good for us. Besides, I enjoyed exploring this new planet and my new home. I could wait until brunch, knowing full well that neither of us could resist touching and tasting and kissing each other and the exquisite climax we always experienced from it. If sexual intercourse with Zark was anything like our extensive foreplay sessions, I knew I’d never want to spend any days without him. He still seemed content on not rushing things between us, plus he sensed that I still worried about becoming pregnant.

I sighed, plucked another maple fruit from the tree, and worked my way back up the path to the podhouse. On my way, I spotted a small brown drawstring pouch on a bench. I picked it up thinking it must have belonged to Zark or one of the other warriors.

The sack was heavier than expected. The string gave way as I lifted it and I spotted over two dozen crystals of various shades stashed inside.

“Hey!” I heard something growl behind me.

I clutched both the basket and the pouch close to me and gasped. Standing not two feet in front of me was an alien male who looked exceptionally different from the Zunatorian males I’d met. He was a rich shade of green. He was so tall that he towered over me like a mountain. His shadow blocked the sun and an ominous feeling overcame me.

“Human,” he sneered. Two others came up behind him.

They must have been Aurraks from the planet Xalxa 5—the same aliens that were visiting Zunator and the same aliens that would help build the new settlement.

“Look,” the green Aurrakian said again. “The human wench has stolen my pouch.”

The others spoke in some foreign tongue I didn’t understand. It wasn’t Zunatorian. It was unlike any other language I’d heard before.

“I’m—I’m so sorry,” I said, and thrust the pouch back at him.

“No matter, wench.” He grabbed the pouch and a few of my fingers as well.

I tugged, but he wouldn’t let go of my hand.

“Who is your master, wench?” he asked.

I was appalled that he would ask me such a thing. Did he think I was a slave?

“I…” I tried to swallow the rising dread in my throat. I failed. It felt like I was swallowing sandpaper. I shook my head.

“Perhaps we can trade some of these lovely crystals for what you have in your pretty basket.” His gaze dragged lazily across my chest. “And I’m not talking about the maple fruit.” He sniffed. “I can smell a virgin wench from one notch away.”

“Take your crystals and leave me alone.” I threw the pouch at his chest, turned around, and started off in the opposite direction

I should’ve known the Aurrakian would follow me. They weren’t like the Zunatorian. They probably thought of humans as slaves. We’d studied about different alien species in the dorm. There were some that had labeled humans as their mortal enemies. I had to get back to the podhouse. Zark had warned me to stay close by.

Pain tore at my scalp when the Aurrakian pulled my braid from behind and yanked me back. My basket of fruit fell to the ground. I screamed.

He wrapped my hair around his wrist, twisting it, until my face was only inches from his. “Wench, you do not run from me when I demand you speak to me!”

I didn’t know what came of me, but I pushed at his chest hard and then slapped him across the face. “Don’t touch me!”

The Aurrakian’s apprehended me, pushing me down across a bench and ripping at my tunic.

  “Stop it,” I yelled.

“She needs a good spanking,” the Aurrakian spoke. The others laughed.

I froze during my struggles as déjà vu took hold of me. I thought of what the rebels did to me on Earth and panicked. “Get your hands off of me!” I yelled.

Things took a turn for the worse when others were alerted of the incident. When I looked up, Zark was running toward me. The assaulting alien was too busy trying to get me to hold still to realize what was coming for him. Zark lifted him nearly ten feet in the air and tossed him across the yard where his body crashed into the side of the storage house.

Both aliens drew axes from their belts and came together in the center. I was on pins and needles watching their blades clash together. No blood was spilled. Not yet anyway. The fight was balanced. Both aliens were equally strong. They were skilled warriors. I feared for Zark and his safety. How had it come to this?

I turned to Zedron, the messenger. “Please stop it. Stop them from killing each other,” I urged him.

“I am sorry, Freya. They must settle this,” he replied. “This is the warrior’s way.”

After what seemed like many excruciating minutes, Zark pinned the Aurrakian on the ground and pushed his face into the dirt. He jerked the extra rope from his waist band to hogtie the alien as he writhed about on the ground.

In his native tongue, Zark declared, “I will gut you. I will mark you with your own shit and then hang you up beneath the sun to rot. Even the bloody crows will flee from your stench. Even the vilest beast will not feast on your flesh. When you are near death, I will tear your head from your body and bury it in a swamp of rotting Barb carcasses. And then, I will dump your body in a smoldering pit of lava.”

The Aurrakian spit the sand from his mouth and started pleaded in his foreign tongue. “I surrender. I have wronged you. Have pity. Please.”

By this time, the Aurrakian ambassador was called to the scene. He too apologized profusely to Zark.

“Tekvas was stupid in his actions. He will face punishment. I will send him away when the second ship arrives. We must not let this one act of cowardice and lack of respect stop the progress we’ve made,” the ambassador pleaded. “Hvit’zark?”

Zark loosened his grip on Tekvas, who got
up and kneeled before Zark. “I have wronged you. Forgive me. I didn’t know she was your slave,” he panted.

“That was your first mistake. She is not a slave,” Zark growled, then grabbed Tekvas by the head again and slammed him face first back into the ground.

“Hvit’zark, don’t do this. Don’t kill him,” Zedron yelled. “You can trust Ambassador Rakan. Tekvas will be banished from here. These Aurrakians have not yet been acclimated. They do not know our ways.”

“And so, they will learn,” Zark growled, then bent Tekvas back with the rope and twisted the Aurrakian’s arm until it appeared to have popped from the socket.

The alien’s eyes rolled to the back of his head and he slumped back to the ground. He must have passed out, either from the pain or the shock, because his chest still rose and fell as his lungs filled with breath.

“Get him off my property. If I see his face again, if he so much as looks at my mate, I will make sure he suffers a violent death,” Zark warned.

The Aurrakians rushed to Tekvas’s aid, picking up his detached arm and wrapped a piece of cloth tightly around to hold it in place. “He ripped it clean off,” I heard one of them say.

“Get him to the medic station at once.” Zedron pointed. “They may be able to save his arm.”

“But the bone is completely shattered,” another exclaimed.

“Well get him there now!” Zedron commanded.

I glanced up at Zark and we came together. He wrapped his arms around me. “You must forgive me.”

“There’s nothing to forgive. It was just a misunderstanding.” I said.

Ambassador Rakan appeared before us and said, “My dear, let me apologize for the way Tekvas treated you. That shouldn’t have happened.”

I frowned. “Thanks for apologizing, but I should hope that the builders you brought here aren’t going around assaulting other women. That’s vile and despicable behavior.”

Ambassador Rakan shook his head. “No. Of course not. My builders don’t come across many humans these days. We don’t even have any at our home base anymore. Not us anyway. My hordesmen build. We’re Dravard. We’re not like our cousins, the Tirizar, who fight to relieve tension. We, Dravard, don’t fight, and so, some of us, not all of us, relieve our tension in other ways.”

I shook my head and glanced between the two. I had no idea what Ambassador Rakan was talking about. I’d never learned of these species. It didn’t matter though. Tekvas had no right to do what he did.

“I was not made or brought here for tension relief for your builders,” I replied.

Ambassador Rakan gave a curt nod and shamefully looked down at the ground.

I held tightly to Zark as he exchanged words with the ambassador in the Aurrakian language. After rescheduling their meeting for another day, Zark wrapped his arm around my waist and led me toward the podhouse.

  “I should’ve stayed close,” I said.

“You shouldn’t have to worry about things like that. They do not happen here. We do not force ourselves upon anyone—not like that,” he said. “Don’t worry. That bastard will be gone soon less an arm. My message was clear. They cannot come here and treat our women like slaves. I don’t care what their agreement with the King entailed. They cannot come here and assault our women—human or otherwise.”

  “I’m glad you’re okay.”

“I can’t let anything happen to you. I promised to protect you,” he said.

  “And you did.”

“That wasn’t a memory I wanted you to have. I didn’t want you to see that side of me.”

“You mean the side of you that’s honorable and will fight for what he believes in or the side with the big and generous heart?”

He grinned. “Is that what you saw?”

“Yes, and no other memory will compare to all of the happy ones you’ve created with me,” I added, and then pressed a kiss to his cheek.

“Let’s go home, my sweet Freya,” he said. “I don’t want to talk to the Aurraks anymore. The only voice I want to hear for the rest of the night is yours.”

After having brunch which ended up being a quick salad topped with meats and cheeses, Zark surprised me by bringing in an oval bath tub. The process to heat the water and fill the large thing seemed tedious but Zark insisted that he do it for me.

“Is this warm enough for you?” Zark asked, perching down near the tub and testing the water by running his hand through it.

“Yes. It’s just perfect.” I inhaled deeply taking in the sweetly scented oils of the dried flower petals that he crushd up earlier and tossed inside.

  He grinned. “Good.”

I blushed when his attention dropped to the top of my breasts where the suds gathered.

“You can join me, you know,” I said, knotting my hair on top of my head to keep it out of the water.

“I’m too big. All the water would slosh right out.” He grabbed a loofa, tucked a block of soap inside, and handed it to me.

I dipped the loofa in the water and began running it across my arms and legs. I didn’t mind that he was watching me. I felt safe with him. I trusted him. In fact, I didn’t want him to leave my side.

I became stimulated by his dark, wandering eyes on my body. I knew I was wet from arousal between my legs. My nipples were almost painfully stiff begging to be touched. Everything was hidden beneath the water. Or at least, I thought.

When his eyes gleamed brightly and his auras self-activated, I knew otherwise. He knew I was aroused. I lifted a leg out of the water and rested my foot on the edge of the tub and then leaned forward to wash the bottom of my foot.

He rose slowly to a standing position. His cock had caused the biggest tent I’d ever seen behind a loincloth. I licked my lips, thinking about how sweet he tasted whenever I brought him to orgasm with my tongue. There was no doubt that when I was done in here, I would waste no time wrapping my lips around his cock and pleasuring him.

“Would you like to help me?” I asked, easing the loofa up the inner part of my leg. All the while, my pussy clenched in the warm bath.

  “Yes,” he rasped.

In one swift move which I had not anticipated, he reached in the tub and lifted me out of the water by the waist. He crossed the short distance to the bed and sat me on it. With the fire still crackling in the room mixed with the heat of his body, I never once felt cold. He came over me like a gentle wave, wrapping his arms around me.

The moment our lips met, all of my senses exploded and heightened. I adjusted my thighs to accommodate his thick width and pulled him securely to me, bringing him deeper in the kiss. He claimed my mouth, over and over again, until we were both drunk on lust. I wanted him. I needed him.

“Gods, I want you so badly,” he murmured against my neck.

“You can have me. All of me,” I replied, arching up into him.

He led a trail of kisses down my damp body, pressing his mouth to the most sensitive spots. When his lips wrapped around my nipple, I moaned in pleasure. He was an expert at making me beg for my orgasms and for whatever reason, on this day, I was craving it like I needed the air I breathed. He suckled both nipples, kneading my breasts until they were swollen from his kisses.

His body was big enough so that when he worked his way down, my thighs instantly widened. He lifted my leg over his shoulder and covered my sex with his mouth in one smooth motion.

I gasped and grabbed his thick hair, threading it through my fingers.

He licked me hungrily, sliding his tongue up and down through my soaking wet slit. The sound of him growling into my pussy, awakened carnal needs deep inside me.

“Your pussy is like a delicious treat I cannot deny,” he murmured against my clit and then stroked it lightly with his tongue. “The more I lick, the more you spill your sweet honey for me.” He used his fingers to open me to his gaze and then thrust two fingers inside of me. My hips jerked upward. He slid his palm under my
ass and buried his mouth into my slick folds. The sound of him greedily lapping at my pussy and sucking at my clit, brought me reeling over the edge.

In the aftermath, my legs were still spread-eagled on the bed as I panted to regain my composure. Our gazes locked and I reveled in the look of ecstasy etched on his face. He’d climaxed already while eating me out. I could see the evidence of his spilled seed dripping on the sheets. But I wanted more.

I slid my fingers down between my creamy folds and brought them up to my lips, tasting my own sweetness. He rose above me and crushed his lips to mine.

Somehow, I gained the upper hand, pinning him against the bed down on his back. His foot-long cock stood at military-style attention, perfectly stiff and vertical to the ground.

I wrapped my fingers around his intricately veined shaft and began to pump him up and down slowly until his lips were parted and his breaths were uneven.

I leaned down and licked up the stream of cum from the tip. As I sucked, more of his seed spilled on my tongue. I took him in my mouth as deeply down my throat as he’d go.

“Freya. Sweet gods,” he groaned out, taking my head gently in his hands and pumping upward. I worked my mouth, running my tongue along the veins and over his kuvak until he exploded again.

Grinning, I came up licking my lips. I was content that I knew how to give my warrior and mate pleasure, but I wanted to give him something else.

I lifted my legs across his hips and straddled him. The moment the outside of my slick pussy fit to the outline of his huge girth, we both moaned. I couldn’t help myself, I massaged my sex against his kuvak, moaning each time my clit made contact with his erection.

  “Freya…” he groaned.
