Fairies of Light Page 17

by J. E Hanson

I stand up for myself, and fight back, “I never asked you to be my boyfriend, and I’m sorry for leading you on. Don’t bother to worry about me, because I’m a big girl. I can put on my big girl panties. I honestly don’t have time to deal with your rollercoaster ride of emotions right now. If you don’t mind, I’m going to prematurely end this delightful and inspiring conversation, and move on. Good luck in finding the one you have that huge ass list for.”

I left him with tears streaming down my cheeks. I rush through the door, and Blade notices my face, “Rosalie, are you okay?

I glance at him briefly, and I nod my head yes. His face changes when he notices my tears. I lie to Blade, but I rush to the back bedroom.

After a shower, I slip in bed next to Ember.

She turns to me, “I can hear you when you cry. Did he yell at you again?”

“He’s not interested in me, and he wants to keep our relationship as business only. I think he just broke my heart.”

“He will come around. Just give him some more time. I think he has commitment issues.”

  Chapter 9

I left the RV in another cute top, and I reveal my back. I put things that we need for Disney in my backpack. My tennis shoes are on, and my bikini is ready. I pack everything that we will need today. I went with the short daisy dukes, and long ivory socks. She makes sure to match me in wardrobe choices. I wear my shades, and my French Beret with my hair transformed into a side ponytail. I place the yellow diamond earrings in my ears. Spike has a pair of charcoal carpenter shorts with an ivory tank on. I appear appetizing, but he’s clearly not interested in me. Gadriel and Gabe follow right behind her, and they give her space. I still disapprove of the way that they’re staring at her.

We stroll through the main gates, and arrive right before they open. I happen to glance to my left, and my heart crumbles again. I gasp loudly, and something knocks the air from my lungs. Ember hears it.

  “What’s wrong, Rosalie?”

I point in the distance, since I can recognize that familiar smell. The wood fire smell permeates from none other than Jesse.

“He’s fucking here, and he’s with Gardenia!”

  “Who is here, sissy?”

I jerk her inside the gates, “Jesse is here, and he’s with Gardenia!” I whisper in her ear.

She peers over my shoulder, and she takes her shades off, “Oh, shit! That is fucking crazy! Wow, so that’s Jesse. Are you sure? I don’t believe that’s Jesse. Are you sure? He is smoking hot though.”

Spike overheard our conversation, and he can smell too. He follows the scent and his face changes to sadness. I could die right now. I grip my heart, and hold my chest.

“That is not Jesse and Gardenia. Oh please tell me that this is just a sick joke!”

“I recognize that face anywhere, and I am pretty sure he’s Jesse.”

Jesse kisses Gardenia on her lips, and now I notice the matching wedding bands flashing on their fingers. I gasp again, and turn my head to the ground.

She stops me, “Aren’t you going to go over there and confront him? I would, if I were you.”

“I’m going to pretend that they don’t exist, and this can’t be my fucking week!”

“If they’re on their honeymoon together, then they are both incredibly dumb. This would be the last place I would spend my honeymoon. Come on, Rosalie. Let’s forget about Jesse, and move on.”

I manage to ignore Gardenia and Jesse. We make plans by visiting each attraction on the map, and we take our own refreshments instead. We make it to “It's a Small World.” The men opt out of it. Ember and I are stuck on the same boat as Jesse and Gardenia. My shades remain on, so that I’m unrecognizable to him. Jesse stares in our direction.

“That is like so adorable! What do you like think, Jesse?” her annoying voice echoes.

Ember holds my hand tightly, “This will be over soon, and I love you, sis.”

Jesse takes off his shades, and he sniffs the air. He stares at us both as he tries to figure out who is who, “Rosalie, are you here?”

I try to ignore him by focusing on Ember.

Gardenia groans, “That is like so not, Rosalie! She is not like here! I’m like, here baby, and we are like, so happy together! I would not like worry about that stupid Rosalie anymore.”

My shades rest on my head, “That is really adult of you, Gardenia! And yes, I’m here, so suck it up. I hope you two had a lovely wedding.”

Gardenia grins, and she purposely flashes her wedding band set at me, “We would have like sent you an invitation, but you like left. Oh, that’s so right! You left Jesse like a long time ago. He like wants a real woman, and not like a little child! You are like just another whore like your mother was.”

After the boat stops, I stand up. Ember holds me back as I scream at Gardenia, “I’m going to kick your fucking ass!”

The men hear my screams. Spike picks me up, and he carries me outside. I’m still screaming at her, “I will kick your fucking ass, Gardenia! This, I promise you!”

Spike covers my mouth, as he carries me down the park. I try to snap my fingers at them, but he’s pinned my hands back to prevent that from happening. He pulls my face to his, “They will arrest you for threatening her!”

I’m angry, and I storm off. Spike picks me up in his arms, and he keeps me close to him, “You have a bad temper, and you need to learn how to control it, Rosalie! I know that this is hard for you to comprehend right now—but try.”

“She called my mom a whore! Why do you even care? Oh, wait, keep it business related! That means your opinions of what I say—or what I do, doesn’t mean anything to you! You can leave me alone! I doubt Spike is even your fucking name, but thanks anyway!”

He stops me, and he makes me face him, “We know your mother wasn’t one! Don’t allow what others say piss you off all the time! I care about you more than what you realize! Now I believe that a good cooling off is what you need! Shall we make our way to the waterpark?”

I hastily pace back and forth to calm down. Ember hands me the map. We chose that it would be faster to ride the monorail, than to walk to the waterpark.

Ember and I swim with the sharks and eels. We take turns taking pictures of each other with her camera. After I cool off, I sit right next to Spike. Gabe flirts with Ember more, by smacking her ass.

“You still have a lot to learn,” Spike calmly lectures me.

I abruptly left his side to ride the water slides. Spike, Gadriel, and Gabe are basking in the sun. I attempt to walk seductively over to Spike, but someone grabs me from behind, with a hand clasping over my mouth. Someone quickly pulls me into a bathroom stall. The flaming red shorts are a dead giveaway.

Jesse holds the door closed above my head, “I missed you so much, Rosalie. You need to meet me at this place tonight, because I really need to talk to you in private.”

Jesse hands me the card, and he quickly left me. Jesse returns to her side. I wonder what his excuse will be. I thought that maybe he misses me, and he’s not happy in his marriage to Gardenia. I have to sneak out somehow, because I need my closure.

“I need to leave for a couple of hours. Do you mind covering for me?” I casually ask Ember for a favor.

“I will cover for you, only this one time. Please be careful.”

We swim all day long, and end the day by watching the fireworks. Spike escorts us back to the RV. I notice the time on the card, and I realize that I have exactly one hour left. Spike pulls his shirt off to reveal a darker tan. He left his citrine basketball shorts on. I quickly change in the bathroom into a canary strapless summer dress. The dress comes to my knees, and it flows. My six-inch heels and makeup is on. She distracts the guys, and she gives me the sign to leave. I love how she has a crack in the door for me. I’m at the hotel with a snap of my fingers.

The host takes my reservation, and she escorts me to the table. Jesse is waiting for me, and he appears extremely nervous. I can tell, by the way he taps his fingers on the
table.

I take my seat in front of him. Jesse nervously smiles at me, “First off, I want to say that I’m so happy you’re still alive. The second thing is that I never had a chance to apologize to you, all those years ago. I also have a confession that I have to make to you.”

“I thought we were a couple, and why are you with Gardenia?”

Jesse pulls his long blonde hair back, “I need to be honest with you for a change. Gardenia and I never officially broke up. I never dumped her to be with you.”

“I thought you loved me, Jesse. I don’t comprehend what you’re saying to me.”

“I made a bet with the other male fairies to sleep with you. I only wanted to have sex with you, and nothing else.”

I’m angry at his confession, “I don’t understand why you would want to do that to me? I’m so confused, Jesse! You told me that you loved me!”

The tears stream down my face and this mascara isn’t waterproof. I have to remember never to wear this mascara again.

Jesse tries to get me to lower my voice, “Not so loud, Rosalie! I only said that to get inside your thighs. I had to answer a bet with the other dudes. You keep twisting your hips as a common slut. I wanted to win, so I decided to try to take your virginity. I wanted the bragging rights.”

I cry out loudly, and then I slap my hands on the table, “Why would you do that to me? I thought we were friends! I trusted you of all people, Jesse!”

Jesse continues the razor burn, “You act like a common whore. Someone had to try to break you at that time! Just face it! You will never make a great wife, or even a mother. Just look at yourself Rosalie, and you’re a joke! You will always be easy on the eyes, but that’s it. No male fairy in his right mind will ever want you, but for a night of fun.”

I found my strength, and for the first time, I fight back. I slap him hard in the face. His glass of water now rests over his head.

“I guess I will never trust another fucking male fairy ever again! You’re a fucking sexist asshole! I would have never done that to you! I don’t understand why a confident girl such as me, can’t walk the way she fucking wants to walk! Thanks for the quick lesson in what a perfect screw job is! I dance the way I dance, because it’s a fucking art! You would know that if you had half the talent Joey has! You suck as a dancer, and you always have! On another note, I really hate you, and I hope karma bites you really hard in the ass one day.”

I even pour the other glass of water over his head, and I receive claps from all the women in the room. I turn around on my heels, and storm out. I don’t pay any attention to who is waiting in the lobby. I keep it together for a few more seconds, and then my heels fly off. I run through the doors, and I want to drown my sorrows in the ocean. Cars manage to miss me as I run across a busy highway.

A voice booms from behind, “Rosalie! Will you fucking wait? You will kill yourself!”

I dart across the lines of traffic, and someone knocks me down hard in the sand.

I scream and fight with my captor, “You can fucking let me go!”

The voice fights with keeping me in the sand, “You need to wait a fucking minute, Rosalie!”

I stare back to see who has me. I try to move, but he has me in a firm grip, “You make it extremely hard for me to babysit you!”

I try to kick, and claw him off me, but he pins my arms down, so that my hands are away from each other. He growls at me, “You need to listen to me right now, and stop fighting me!”

I cry, as he rolls me over to face him, “I know what it feels like to have someone say that to you, Rosalie. I know how bad that hurt feels! I need to tell you something, so that you will understand. There are people who love, and care for you. I know you’re angry right now. I want you to look at what’s in front of you right now! I noticed that you changed as soon as you saw Jesse. You ignored everyone today. Open your fucking eyes, and realize that the person who truly has feelings for you is staring right back at you in the face! Do you still love him? I need to know shit like this! I admit that I have serious trust issues too, Rosalie. I’m not an easy man to love, but I would never say those awful things that Jesse just said to you!” I stop fighting him, and he continues, “You need to forget him, and move on! You should realize that there are more men in this world, besides stupid Jesse! He’s exactly like his fucking mom, and he will never change! Here’s a newsflash for you. Did you honestly want him to get you pregnant? What happens if he gets you pregnant? What would you do then? I will tell you that your baby would have wound up in the Pits, and he would have never gave two shits about your baby. That’s exactly why I detest fairies like him! They get these young girls into trouble, and these girls lose their babies to the Pits! You know this is fucking true! Do you want a player, or do you want a real man, who will love you for you?”

I fall down on my knees sobbing, and he holds me in his arms, “If I’m unable to open your eyes, than I don’t know what to do next. So please open them right now. I will leave you with Snow and Ice. You’re almost too much for me to handle right now.”

He left me with Snow and Ice. “We tried to warn you, Princess. That’s why Oberon sent you here, so that you wouldn’t get into trouble. The last thing you need is your baby to be in the Pits, and he’s absolutely right about that,” Snow explains.

The guys help me up, and we return to the RV. Ember sits right next to Gabe, and she’s holding his hand, “I’m so sorry, but he has really keen eyes. He followed you as soon as you walked out the door. I’m so sorry, and how did it go?”

She drops his hand, and she walks over to me. She holds me in her arms, and I break down, “He told me the fucking truth. You and Oberon were right! I will never be more than a whore to him, or the rest of the guys back home! I twist my hips too fucking much. It seems that I’m a whore, who needs punishment. He made a bet with the others that he was going to take my virginity from me. Jesse obviously lost his bet, but he purposely led me on! I’m only good for a night of fun, and that’s how he put it! I will never make a great mom—or wife! I’m not wife material. I walk the way that I do, because I’m a dancer. I won’t tone it down—or ever change it. That’s my flaw, Ember. You are more wife material, than I will ever be. I babysit their babies. I change them, wash them, and feed their babies. Yet, these men don’t even trust me to be a mom! I’m so fucking livid right now.”

She holds me, as she hears my sobs, “I know exactly what kind of person you are. Who cares what they think of you? I love you, and you have done wonderful things for people. I’m so sorry that men keep treating you like shit. You deserve so much better, and I’m sorry for it. I wish they could see through everything, and realize that you’re not just boobs and short skirts. I honestly believe that men are afraid of you, because you’re too confident. Confidence in a woman can really be a powerful thing. I would stop worrying about stupid ole Jesse, and move on from him. You learned a valuable lesson from this.”

I lay my head over her heart, “Are my clothes really that bad? Do I move my hips too vulgar?”

She sighs, and she hugs me, “I call you unique. I believe that you’re beautiful the way you are. If they want to be douche canoes, then let them be douche canoes. I think your clothing style is a little out there, but that’s what works for you. You have a fantastic body, and you should flaunt it. That doesn’t make you a whore. I find nothing wrong with what you’re wearing. Your walk is cute and unique. You move as a fairy would, and I always wanted to nickname you Tinkerbelle for some weird reason. You make everyone watch you as you walk by. I still think it’s you, and your walk is unique. Fuck all them! You will make one man happy to have you, one of these days.”

Their faces appear shocked, when she nails exactly what I am. I refuse to let her know what I am, and this secret is killing me.

Spike has a can of beer in his hand, and he continues to sip from it. He shakes his head at me, and then he walks to the bedroom.

Blade takes out a beer too, “I have no dog in this fight. I thi
nk you’re a very sweet girl, Rosalie. I know my brother is somewhat interested you, but you have too many issues for him to deal with at this time.”

I wait for her to turn her head, and I purposely tie his shoelaces together with a snap of my fingers. He stumbles on his face, and Blade curses me out. But, I think his reaction is extremely funny.

Spike returns to the living room, and he growls at me, as he helps his brother up. I watch the two jerks lick their wounds, and they go to bed. I stay next to Ember, and we watch Tinkerbelle together.

“Oh, wow! I do walk like her!”

“I bet your outfit would be green too. You would make a great Tinkerbelle. I can see you getting into so much trouble.”

“We have done a lot of crazy things together.”

We fall asleep and I went to day two of fun. We visit the Epcot Center, the zoo, and Typhoon Lagoon. Spike continues to ignore me, and the feeling is mutual by this point.

Gabe and Ember are walking together hand in hand. I knew they would hit it off.

At night, I dance my ass off as I try to peg the last step down. I fall at least twenty times, while I attempt that move. Spike and the men play poker. They notice me as I enter the room dripping from sweat all over my body.

For the rest of the week, we visit Disney inside and out. Spike walks over to me a few times, and he asks me general questions. I politely answer, when it comes to business.

Oberon visits me to inform me about the wedding of Puck and Skylar. I try the dance move in front of him to receive his honest feedback, “You’re not moving your hip far enough out. Try this and see if it helps.”

He helps me out, and it almost works, “I almost got it! Thanks Oberon for trying to help me with that move.”
