Alan gave the shortest but most accurate answer.

  “No,” he snapped.

  Chapter Twenty five

  All aboard for Mars

A cold sweat broke out over Alan Falcon walked out of the CNN studio building in Georgia, Atlanta. He had come all this way just to be taken for a fool by Royston Lyall on prime time television. Why didn’t Royston tell him before they went live on air on the ‘New Day’ show that he was going to ask about Glory’s potential conflict of interest in working with the US President in searching for the artefacts which links in with the space program that he, Alan Falcon, works on?

The cold sweat was actually not so much because of Alan’s uncomfortable TV interview but more a case of the secret that he was carrying well buried in his heart for the past fortnight.

The US space program was running out of trips to Mars. The Moon was out of the question at the moment as it was being used from a military perspective with the US using it as a military deterrent to fight against the military satellites of Russia and China.

Transport to Mars was becoming a problem. Even though the US government had released billions in cash recently, it was a case of too late.

Another reason for his urgent need to depart from earth – and another fact that he kept well-hidden when live on air with Royston Lyall – was that meteorites and Planet X were heading towards Planet Earth at a faster speed than before. A collision with Planet Earth was set to happen sooner than later bringing with it radiation that would exterminate all forms of life on earth.

Alan headed for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in an effort to get back to Florida as quickly as he could. His heart was pumping. He hadn’t seen Glory for quite some time now, but he had enough information to know that his wife and twins were safe. He was no fool and knew that Adam Kennedy was back from the Amazon and would almost certainly be close if not with his wife which wasn’t a good thing at all.

It was turning into a race against time to get Glory, the twins, his father Luke, and himself on to the last available spaceship on route to Mars. It was make or break!

Luke was a specialist in the production of synthetic vitamins and food, and was needed on the other side in order to assure some sort of nutrition is available to the people.

Meanwhile, while Alan was airborne on route back to Florida, in order to get to the space office near Cocoa Beach, Glory and the twins were heading for the same destination.

The planetology graduate could not stop thinking about Adam Kennedy, or more so the previous night which consisted of passionate love making on the secret island.

Adam was definitely the right man for her. As much as Alan had been good to her and the twins and was a good man that any woman would dream of having in their life, she could not vote in her mind against the fact that she and Adam were meant to be together.

Then her mind moved to the artefact that Adam had given to her to take with on the trip to Mars. Of course, like Adam, she had no option but to smuggle the artefact off the island with it well-hidden in her underwear.

According to Adam, the artefact was known as the ‘Talisman’. The ‘Talisman’ was not like the other artefacts which provide a substance which helps in the production of space suits that could withstand the highest forms of radiation.

The ‘Talisman’ was another reason why the Americans and the Russians were on a mission to find the artefacts in the Amazon. Some of these treasures were just that… treasures.

The "Talisman" contained pure gold with unknown additives. Adam wanted Glory and the twins to use this as a form of insurance while on the trip to Mars. With this in their luggage, they could bribe their way on to the flight, if things got ugly. As one could imagine, every man and his dog would be attempting to get on to the flight once word got out of the pending life threatening disaster that was about to happen on Planet Earth.

Again Glory thought about her night together with Adam. His muscular body, powerful legs…

She rated him as the best kisser that she had ever been with. He was pretty fertile too, she thought. Well he had to be after impregnating her with twins a while back.

Housekeeper Joey Lawrence would also be on the flight to Mars, come hell or high water, thought Glory. Just like the ‘Talisman’, Joey was worth her weight in gold to Glory. In fact she couldn’t even begin to imagine how life with the twins would have been manageable without the housekeeper.

Nothing was too much for Joey. She was more than a housekeeper. She was almost like a good friend to Glory. No, she was more than a good friend, but even closer - perhaps a sister.

Prior to departing on the flight, Glory had a bit of a squabble with Adam. She was determined that he must travel with them on the flight to Mars, but he refused stating that his task on earth was not yet complete.

What did Adam know that he wasn’t telling her, thought Glory. Of course, Glory had not been on the telescopic equipment for quite a while, so she didn’t know just how close the meteorites were to colliding with earth.

If she had known this, she would not have allowed the love of her life to remain behind. Glory would have dragged Adam on to the plane headed for Florida and then to the space office, even if he was kicking and screaming.

Again she tried her best to think things through in as clear a mind as possible.

What did Adam know that she and the US government didn’t? Why was he so keen to remain behind on Planet Earth as he sent his ‘family’ to safety?

“Something to drink, Ma’am?” asked a FBI agent onboard the military flight to Florida.

  Glory shook her head.

“I am just fine for now, thanks for asking,” she replied.

Glory looked around her. She counted fifteen FBI agents who were onboard the plane with her. Little did they know that this was possibly the richest aircraft in the world since the ‘Talisman’ was onboard.

She put her hand down towards her vagina area. Having an artefact stuff between your legs wasn’t too comfortable but there was just no other way to hide it from the FBI.

Again she drifted back into thought about Adam.

Was Adam planning on heading back to the Amazon to get his hands on more artefacts in the form of gold instead of the spacesuit-making material substance? Was this what it was all about? Was it about greed instead of human existence?

Surely her Adam would not think that way?

Eventually the plane started to descend. Glory tried to look out of the nearest window but she couldn’t see anything that she could recognize.

Little did she know but the plane was about to touch down at Brookesville Army Airfield in Florida. The airfield was constructed way back in 1942 during World War 2.

From here, the passengers were ushered on to a waiting smaller plane, which was set to take them to Cocoa Beach, and from there they would make their way by ground transport to the space office near Cape Canaveral.

What Glory would have given just to spend one night with her twins in her luxury home. Of course, if she left Alan Falcon for Adam Kennedy, that home would not be a part of her life anymore, but she didn’t care. Some things, like love, would more important than money.

It was another two hours before Glory, along with the twins and housekeeper Joey Lawrence, arrived at the space office.

Alan Falcon arrived a good hour later. Glory felt so guilty when she saw her husband. They embraced but she felt so dirty about it based on her night of passion with Adam Kennedy.

“Alan, I am so sorry,” began Glory, but of course Alan did not know what she was referring too.

“There is nothing to be sorry about, honey,” he quipped as he held her tight.

“We need to get on to the next spaceship to Mars. It is the last available one that I know of. Our lives will change forever once we are on the other side.”

“Why the rush?” she asked and then she found her answer as she looked into her husband’s eyes.

“Oh my God, Planet X is within range…”<

“Yeah, it won’t be pretty, Glory,” confirmed Alan.

“It is now or never for us. Anyone left behind will…”

Alan stopped in mid-sentence as he had a gut feel that Glory would perhaps worry about the safety of Adam Kennedy, not that he did. His primary concern was his wife and family.

Forty minutes passed before the Falcon members plus Joey Lawrence were escorted down a smart long corridor that resembled something that would be scene on a TV series like Star Trek.

Even though Joey Lawrence was walking in front of her holding the twins, and Alan and his father Luke were on either side of her, Glory kept glancing back over her shoulder.

How she wishes that she would see Adam running around the corner in a bid to get on to the last spaceship to Mars.

Where was he, she wondered? What did he know that she didn’t?

For a brief moment she thought that she heard someone calling her name. Again she looked back over her shoulder. Was it Adam or was her mind playing games with her?

Her contingent was walking at quite a pace and the artefact was chaffing between her legs, but there was no way that she could remove it now.

Once at the security check points, her group was speedily ushered aboard the spaceship which was like a movie house with rows and rows of seats. Yes, it was like a cinema building. What would appear on the big screen upfront, she wondered. Oh my God, it better not be the live footage feed of the destruction of Planet Earth, she thought.

Glory Falcon suddenly felt fragile. Was her trip to the Paranal Mountains and Adam’s expeditions to the Amazon all in vain?

Once safely strapped into her seat, with a twin on either side of her, she smiled at Joey.

“Everything is going to be just fine, Ms Glory,” said the housekeeper.

That comment was typical of Joey, thought Glory.

The housekeeper was the eternal optimist. Nothing got her down. Not even that the fact that her planet was just hours or even minutes about from destruction.

Alan looked across at Glory and smiled. He felt like he was doing the right thing. His father Luke held his head in his hands and entered into prayer. This was stuff that one only saw in the movies. Yet, now it was real.

Adam where are you, thought Glory as she glanced towards the entrance of the spaceship but again there was no sign of the love of her life.

Suddenly a row of lights in the seating area of the spaceship began to flicker. The time had come for the spaceship to take-off from earth. At just 20 years of age, Glory’s life was going to change forever.

Is this how the man upstairs wants it to be she wondered as Alan’s father continued to pray out-loud this time.

This was either the beginning or it was the end!

Glory and her family were on their way to a Stronghold!

  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Staring out through the window of the spaceship Glory wondered if she was doing the right thing. Alan had come for her and he said he was taking her back home. She wasn’t strong enough to look into his eyes and tell him that she no longer wanted to be with him. He had done so much for her but she could never love him the way he deserved to be loved. He was a sweet, caring man and he had been so good to her. But he could never make her feel the way Adam does. He could never make her feel like a woman the way Adam does. The spaceship started to shake as it took off from the ground, slowly elevating into the air. As the spaceship flew higher and higher from her window she could see magnificent mountains, fluffy clouds, and the beautiful blue ocean. It felt like she was floating through the fluffy white clouds. She wished she was strong enough to look into his eyes and tell him that she no longer wanted to be with him.

Alan was snoring softly in his seat beside her with the twins sleeping in his arms. She wished her life wouldn’t be this complicated, she wished she could take control of her heart and completely erase Adam out of her heart forever. A sob caught in her throat as she realized that she had whispered Adam’s name out loud. She wondered what would have happened if Alan had heard her. She had caused Alan enough pain, she didn't want to cause him any more pain. She closed her eyes, wishing her heart could stop racing. She loved Adam, how could a girl ever forget her first love? How could she forget the man who had tattooed her image on his left breast? The events of the previous night flooded her mind and she slowly drifted off to the past.

She had just tucked the children into bed when Adam walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her. His body was warm and it felt good to be held by him. He gently kissed her neck, trailing his hot tongue down her neck to her shoulder. She moaned softly as he tightened his arm around her and buried his nose in her hair. They stayed like that for what seemed like hours before he gently scooped her into his arms and carried her to their bedroom. He slipped his fingers into her glossy tresses, caressing and massaging her scalp. He placed her on the bed and started to lick her feet. A ripple of sensation went through Glory as his warm mouth covered each of her little toes. She cried out as he sucked on each toe, while his fingers caressed the back of her thighs. He raised up her left leg and kissed the back of her thighs. He kissed his way from her thighs to her belly and then slipped a finger into her wet slit. Softly, gently, almost imperceptibly, he started to kiss her. His tongue licked her teeth, the roof of her mouth and her lips while his fingers slowly slipped in and out of her feminine core.

Her hands began to roam his powerful body as she continued to moan. He broke off the kiss and slipped off her nightie.

"You're so magnificent, Glory," He murmured, "Every part of you is beautiful,"

She bent her head and gently bit his neck. He moaned out and then planted his lips on hers again. She reached in between them and closed her hand around his hard, throbbing shaft. Knowing the effect she had on him sent a tingle of sensation down her spine. She slowly stroked him, never taking her lips away from his. He slipped two fingers into her again and leisurely began to make love to her with his fingers. Her juices trickled down his fingers as he slipped them in and out of her. He scooped out some of her juices and smeared it on her nubbin button and nipples. She cried out as his thumb found her sensitive nubbin button. She removed her hand from his shaft and placed it on the back of his head. He spread her legs apart, grazing the tip of his tongue on her sensitive button. She was writhing underneath him in pleasure and this seemed to please him. His manhood grew longer and harder. She was quivering as he continued to tongue her. She was close to her orgasm, her stomach was knotted in pleasure and her legs were trembling. Her clit started to twitch and then a gush of liquid trickled out of her. Her moans grew louder as this was the hardest she ever came. It had always been great but this was so intense that she continued to tremble for several minutes. Adam lifted her legs, almost raising her hips off the bed and drove his hard length into her. She cried out his name, clenching her hands on the sheet.

  “Shhh…it’s okay love,” Adam murmured.

  "Oh, Adam! Adam!" She cried.

He loosened his hold on her legs and then leaned over to kiss her. Glory’s fingers trailed down his back as she returned his kiss. Her eyes fell on his chest and then she gasped.

"What is this?" She asked as she traced a finger along the tattooed image of her on his left breast. She knew that Adam loved her but she didn't know that he loved her enough to tattoo her image on his body. Tears stung her eyes as she realized how much she meant to him.

"I couldn't bear to be away from you for too long," Adam replied, "So I had to tattoo your image on my body so you'll go everywhere I go,"

  “Oh Adam,” She sobbed.

"Shhh… don't cry my love," He said, kissing her tears away.

He started to move in her, gently and slowly. Adam reached up and massaged her breasts, tracing his fingers along her beautiful large areolas. He gently squeezed and flicked at her nipples with his thumb.

“Please don’t tease me anymore,” She begged, “Please make
love to me,”

She started to move her hips, rotating it slowly, and she lifted up her legs taking him deeper into her. Adam groaned as his cock plunged into her womb. She was so tight, wet and warm around him. Little by little, he started to thrust his hips up in time with her. She felt her vagina walls clenched hard around him as her breathing grew heavier. She placed her hands on his butts, urging him to make love to her faster.

“Are you okay?” Alan asked, breaking into her thought.

"Yes…yes, I am fine," Glory said and quickly looked away. She was afraid that he might see through her. Her hands were trembling and she buried it between her thighs. She turned to look out through the window again and then a thought popped into her head. She gasped and then quickly covered it up with a cough. Adam had released his warm semen into her womb. Alan was infertile but she was very fertile. Beads of perspiration started to gather on her forehead as she realized that she could be carrying Adam’s child. She closed her eyes, feeling guilt, shame and then fear wash over.
