Water sounds amazing so I gulp down a large drink and my stomach rolls over not liking the feeling. I gag but it stays down.
“Hey, go slow. It’s not going anywhere.” The voice has amusement in it and it’s even better than it was before.
I listen and sip slowly until I empty the whole bottle.
“Good job. Now lie back down and rest some more.”
My head drops back into the pillow and I back up into the hard heat behind me. A thick blanket is pulled up to my shoulders. I snuggle even further into the warmth. A large arm comes over my waist, and I clutch onto it not wanting it to go anywhere. Sleep claims me and I go with it without any fight.
Where the hell am I?
My eyes crack open and they slam shut again with a snap. The light is too much for the sensitive orbs. The bright white wall I'm facing is one I’ve never seen before. Without opening my eyes again, I use my other senses to take inventory of my surroundings. The bed, like the wall, is one I’m not familiar with. The pillow smells masculine and inviting. I’ve smelled this scent before. The thick comforter is lush and soft and I don’t need to open my eyes to know it’s expensive.
I wiggle my toes, all ten of them appear to be accounted for. I mentally run up my legs noticing they’re bare. Ok, that’s something I need to figure out. My hands run up my abdomen and I breathe out a relieved breath when I notice I’m wearing some type of t-shirt.
With careful movements I open my eyes again and move my head catching what I didn’t the first time. There’s an ache in my skull, but nothing I can’t handle. The room swarms in and out before I blink a couple times to get it in focus. The room itself is huge and immaculate.
The maroon comforter is just as I thought, expensive and gorgeous. There’s big cherry wood furnishings artfully arranged in the mystery room. None of them have any clutter, all barren and useless in giving me clues as to where I am. It’s as if I mysteriously ended up in a magazine photo shoot.
I push the comforter down and my body mourns the loss of its heat. The thought of heat pushes a memory into my head but it slips away before I can study it more. I glance down and see I’m wearing a large t-shirt that, like everything else, isn’t familiar to me.
I look around for my purse, but don’t see it. My toes curl into the thick maroon carpeting as I stand. My body revolts from the change in altitude. I stop and breathe in deeply through my nose and out of my mouth until everything settles down.
Once I get my body to stop attempting an upheaval, I turn around in the room still not seeing anything familiar. I get down on my knees to look under the bed hoping my phone and purse are there. And as I stand, memories start tumbling around giving me a glimpse of what happened last night.
“Maureen,” I say to the white walls.
I remember the strip club, the sexy triplet who made me drink from his abdomen. A shiver hits me but I continue shifting through my memories. I went outside not wanting to go back to the VIP room. Chuck, the bouncer talked about his daughter. And then Maureen came out with her pack of bitches.
This is where things become patchy. I remember Maureen yelling at me, and then someone coming to my rescue. It was the one I sipped champagne out of his belly button from. I’m sure of that. Even though the Trifecta are identical triplets I can tell which one’s mine.
Well, not mine, but the one who I had the most interaction with.
Why would he come to my rescue?
I wasn’t very nice. I mean, I wanted to be nice to him. I wanted to be very nice. But, just being around Maureen brought up my defenses and had really nothing to do with him.
Strains of music come from outside, and I decide to venture out. It’s the only way I’m going to get answers. I take tentative steps until I trust my legs to hold me up. The amount of drinks I consumed filter into my mind and I’m surprised I don’t feel worse being the lightweight I am.
I vaguely remember someone making me take pills last night. Someone taking care of me, when I begged for death to hurry its ass up. What the hell was real?
The music gets louder when I open the door a crack, looking both ways down the hall. Empty. I shut the door, moving to the en-suite bathroom inside the mystery room. It definitely belongs to a man. There’s shaping gels and masculine cologne on the counter. I groan when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror.
I finger comb my hair taking down my victory curl that looks like it can no longer claim victory at all. A little mouthwash. A quick splash of water to my face and now I’m almost human again. A memory of me puking in a parking lot while someone held me up runs through my brain and I use the mouthwash one more time for good measure.
When I’m about as good as I’m going to get, I leave the bathroom following the sounds of the music. The beat leads me through the living room with a massive blue-sectional couch and an even bigger TV. I cross into the kitchen which, like the rest of the house, is clean without any clutter except for the large kitchen table, scattered with what looks like architecture plans.
There’s a door beside the refrigerator and the music pumps through the hard wood. I tug the t-shirt down even though it reaches my knees. I’m almost terrified of what I’ll find behind this door, but I grab the handle and push through.
I freeze, my mouth hanging open. Pure masculinity—sexy, and sweaty is what my eyes feast on as the door reveals what it’s hiding. The men I watched last night work out their sculpted muscles and I’m not embarrassed at the drool that floods my mouth. The triplets are in the zone and don’t notice they have a voyeur.
Can I just stand here and stare all day long?
My eyes bounce off the two doing cardio. One’s on a treadmill while the other’s on the elliptical, but they stop when I land on my Trifecta. He’s standing in front of a mirror pushing a dumbbell, that looks like it weighs more than me, up and down. When he finishes he switches arms and starts pushing it up into the air.
My breath hitches at the perfect specimen in front of me. I squeeze my legs together as I watch him to ease the pulsing need beginning to form. He’s gorgeous and he’s looking straight at me. Our eyes meet in the mirror, a tiny smirk lights his face as he perurses my reflection. The t-shirt I’m wearing, which is longer than the dress I wore last night, feels inadequate all of a sudden.
With measured movements he puts the dumbbell on the rack and turns around to face me. He grabs a towel and wipes the sweat dripping off his forehead taking a step closer.
“Hey, how are you feeling?”
It takes me a second to understand what he’s asking, since all my thoughts are on the sculpted six-pack moving toward me.
At his question, the other two triplets turn, shooting me a smile. None of them have the same intensity my Trifecta has though.
“I’m not dead,” I say, finally processing what he asked me.
The three of them crack a grin, but I still can’t tear my eyes away from the man who is now standing in front of me.
My heartbeat picks up and I try to remember to breathe.
“I’m glad you’re not dead,” he says as his eyes roam over my t-shirt clad body.
“Where are my clothes?”
“I had to wash them. You got sick on your dress.” He smiles at me and my face floods with heat.
“Did you dress me?” I ask, not bothering to look at the other two hoping they’re not listening to us.
“I did. I didn’t think you would want to be naked in my bed. At least while you were just sleeping.” He winks and I have to stop the images blasting against my mind, wanting to show me what it would look like if we weren’t sleeping in his bed.
Then a thought hits me and I suck in a breath. I lean in closer so only he can hear me, “We didn’t sleep together, did we?”
His smile falls. “No.”
“Oh, thank god,” I say.
“Thank god? Believe me, you would be thanking god if we slept together.”
Ha. “I doubt it.”
His eyebrow rises slowly, and a s
low grin lazily graces his handsome face. “I don’t. Maybe one day you’ll get to find out.”
“Don’t hold your breath.” I smile at the banter, and he smiles back.
“Leave her alone,” the triplet on the elliptical says. He sticks out his hand and I shake it taking my attention off of my Trifecta. “Hi, I’m Damien. This is Axel,” he says, nodding to his other brother.
But I still don’t know my Trifecta’s name. I glance back at him and he’s still staring at me.
“Ben,” he whispers.
I blush. “Clara,” I say, even though he already knows my name. But, who knows. Maybe he forgot.
His grin widens. “Yeah, I know.”
Should it be illegal for him to be so good-looking?
“Nice to meet you.” I try to look away, maybe let the other brothers know it’s nice to meet them too. But, nope. Instead I stand here, eyes locked on Ben, acting rude by not doing a proper introduction.
“We would’ve taken you home but your sister must have taken your purse,” Damien says.
My gaze floats away from Ben and focuses on Damien. At least, I think it’s Damien. “Thank you for letting me stay here. If you could get my clothes and call me an Uber I can be out of your hair like that.” I snap my fingers.
I already feel so rude being here. And all sorts of murderous thoughts are entering my brain directed at Maureen. How could she leave me without my purse? With strangers.
“I’ll take you home, but first you need breakfast.” Ben leads me into the kitchen. “Let me go take a shower, and then I’ll feed you.”
“No, really. I’m fine. An Uber, and I’m good.”
Ben steps closer, causing me to back up until my butt hits a stool and I sit. “I’m going to shower, and then I’m going to feed you.” He’s so close. I swear I think I can stick out my tongue and lick his nose.
“Okay,” I breathe out.
I’m at their mercy.
“We’ll be right back,” Axel says.
“Do you three take showers together?” I mean I’ve heard of triplets sharing things, but showers.
The three of them laugh and Axel shakes his head. “No, when our parents had three pre-pubescent boys to deal with they added three more bathrooms.”
“You live with your parents?” I’m horrified thinking the Trifecta’s parents saw me passed out covered in puke last night.
“No, Mom and Dad are on an extended vacation. We own the place now,” Ben explains.
"Oh, good. I would be mortified if they saw me in the state I was in last night. I'm not normally a drinker. I have too many plans in life to mess around."
“I knew I was going to like you when you turned Benny boy down, but I think we’re going to get along even more,” Damien says, clapping Ben on the back before heading out of the kitchen.
Axel follows leaving me and my Trifecta, I mean Ben, alone. “Are you going to be ok alone, or do you want me to wait for my brothers to come back?” His eyes twinkle and he smiles. “Or, you can always join me.”
“I’ll wait.”
He spreads his arms wide, showing off his wickedly hot body. “Your loss.”
I laugh, shaking my head. “Did you think that line would actually work on me?”
His smile fades. “No,” he says, searching my face like he’s wondering if he’s answered right.
“Go shower before I walk home.”
“You can’t leave without having breakfast. I’m the best cook out of the three. Don’t leave, I’ll be back.” Ben gives me a stern look until I nod, letting him know I‘m not going to run out on him while he’s in the shower.
He left the way his brothers had, and now I have an image of him naked in the shower with soap drifting down his abs like the champagne last night. I swallow hard and go into the fridge, finding a bottle of water which I down in one motion.
Chapter 6
Ben
I shower in record time, not wanting Clara to be alone with my brothers for longer than necessary. When we got home last night, I got Clara situated in my bed and went into the living room to celebrate with my brothers. For the first half hour, I had to take the shit they were thinking of the whole ride home that they kept in until Clara was out of the picture. They wouldn’t be brothers if they didn’t give me a hard time, and when something happens to them, I will give just as good as they gave.
They laughed at me, throwing my cocky words back at my face. ‘You heard Willie, I have thirty minutes.’ Assholes.
The fact that Clara puked and passed out on me made it even easier for me to be butt of the jokes for the night. Thankfully, I was able to steer them off the verbal beating I was getting by reminding them about the loan we got.
Big Willie’s is going to be ours; The Trifecta Club is going to be a reality. No more dancing for money. We’re going to be the bosses, and a hell of a lot of changes are in store for Big Willies. Trifecta is going to be the best erotic dance venue Vegas has ever seen.
The thing about Big Willies’ is Willie was never a dancer. He doesn’t understand that side of the business.
We do.
As the Trifecta, we know what it takes to keep the dancers happy and the money rolling in. I can’t wait to get started, and by the look on my brother’s faces they can’t either.
This is what we’ve been working our asses off for. Quite literally.
Instead of partying it up, we ended up cracking open some beers and laying out all of our plans on the kitchen table. All the changes and renovations we want to make spread out on the wood we used to have family dinner at every night.
Our excitement bounced off each other and before we realized how long we’d been talking about our club it was four in the morning. I told my brothers I was going to check on Clara before bed and ran out before they could fuck with me.
I didn’t expect her to be moaning and groaning, mumbling that she wanted to die when I entered my room. I got her water and some pain pills almost having to force feed her. I smiled when I had to put the pills in her mouth and help her drink the water. She was smashed to alcohol level annihilated. Why I climbed in bed behind her was something I can’t answer, and will never tell my brothers about.
Hell, I still can’t answer it.
My cock comes alive in the shower, hardening as I think about her.
Her body was cool, and she seemed so uncomfortable, I just wanted to make it better. I only planned to stay in bed with her until the pills kicked in and she settled back down. But when she held onto my arm and snuggled into my chest it was obvious I wasn’t going anywhere.
Last night was the first time I’ve had a girl in my bed that only slept, yet it was still one of the best nights I’ve had. I’m not going to lie, I enjoyed taking care of her.
Remembering her plastered against my chest as the hot water cascades over my overworked body, makes my dick throb. My hand moves down my chest as I picture Clara’s killer body poured into her red dress.
I had only good intentions when I peeled off that same dress. I wasn’t expecting my breath to be knocked out of me when I saw her pale skin reflecting the moonlight filtering into the room.
She’s a fucking knockout.
I’ve never had to dress a woman. My specialty is taking their clothes off. I had my t-shirt over Clara faster than I thought possible. I’m surprised I didn’t hear the sound barrier break by how quickly I covered her. Lusting after a passed out woman is too much for me, but she’s not passed out any more.
My dick pulses as I picture slipping it into Clara’s lush red lips. Would she look up at me with her bright blue eyes?
Fuck.
I snap off the water and order my dick to behave. I dress in sweats and a white t-shirt hurrying out to the kitchen. Clara sits on the stool I left her on talking to Axel as he makes coffee. She laughs at something he said and a shock of jealousy punches me in the gut.
I need to calm the hell down. Axel isn’t trying to get into Clara’s pants, or get her out of my t-shirt.
/>
“Hey, Benny.” Axel holds up a mug and I nod, my eyes flicking to Clara as he pours my coffee.
I smirk as I notice Clara sagging into the stool. The pain pills and water I forced on her last night are only doing so much to keep her feeling somewhat alive.
“How you doing?”
Her head moves with effort and I can tell she’s hurting. “I’m still alive.”
“Not for lack of trying, right? You were begging for death to come and take you away last night.”
Her cheeks turn a slight shade of pink, bringing some much needed color to her pale face.
“It’s ok, Clara. Most women beg for death when they find themselves in my brother’s bed.” Damien slaps me on the back, his hair wet and slicked back from his recent shower.
Clara clears her throat in what sounds suspiciously like a laugh. Axel refills the coffee mug she’s holding onto as if it is the most important object in her life.
“You’re some type of superhero,” Axel says as he puts bacon in the oven.
“Believe me I feel nothing like a superhero.” Clara sips her coffee, her face pulling in some more color.
“Oh no, you’re going to be a legend in this house,” Axel continues and I come over slugging him so he’ll shut up.
“Knock it off. You know what, Clara why don’t we just go get some breakfast. I’m the best cook in the house and since dumbass is ruining the bacon, there’s no reason to stay here. I’ll go get your clothes.”
“Let me guess I’m the only woman to puke and pass out in the presence of the Trifecta.” Clara sees right through my attempt to change the subject. Her guess gets both my brothers to laugh. I hurry up grabbing her air-dried dress off the hanger in the laundry room so I can get her away from my brothers.
“Well that’s true, but you’re also the only one Ben hasn’t been able to charm. And that makes you a legend,” Damien says as I groan.
“All right, I’ve got your stuff. Let’s get going.” I take Clara’s mug from her and rinse it out. “See you assholes later.” I shuffle Clara out of the kitchen, flipping my brothers off in the process.
