His pelvis jerked and his slick, wet, bloody abdomen caressed her pussy and she shuddered.
Biting her lip, she lowered herself onto his stomach, her hips moving in slow circles. Her hands clutching the hilts of the knives as leverage. The more she moved; the more his skin separated. The heat from inside him almost burned her sensitive clit, his soft, slippery organs felt like the softest tongue, gently lapping at her.
Moving to the beat of the music, she thrust deeper into his body. She let go of one of the knives and used her fingers to plunge deep into him, searching for his large intestine before she started shoving it deep inside of her, stretching and heating up the walls of her pussy.
Her total attention was on Nutter. Her eyes, filled with passion, met his pain-filled ones. She started singing to him along with the song. Letting him know he was never in control. And by showing her who was important, he was condemning himself to death.
“You never owned me,” Morgan said. “I own myself.”
Over and over she said that, as she burrowed deeper and deeper into him, finally reaching his spine. Dragging her clit back and forth over the bumps, which made up the different vertebra of his spine. The orgasm that had been building erupted around her, her pussy clenching around his organs. His scream of pain mixed with hers of pleasure.
Collapsing on top of him, she tried to catch her breath and she came down off her high. “Now that’s the best way to say good-bye, Lover.” Propping herself up on one elbow, she watched him, knowing his death was going to come sooner rather than later. She wanted to savor this moment where, once again, she showed a man she wasn’t just a toy to them. She was an equal.
Reaching between her legs, she pulled him out of her, her body shivering from pleasure as his body clenched in pain.
Absently, she dug her fingers through the muck that was left of his organs. “It won’t be long now, Lover. We could have ruled the world together, but instead, you chose her.”
A bell sounded and Morgan sat up. “Well, it appears my time here has come to an end.” She jumped off the bed and quickly jumped under the makeshift shower they had installed in the corner of the room. Toweling off, she put on an extra set of clean clothes before walking back to Nutter, his eyes open, staring at her.
“I loved you…” His voice barely traveled the short distance to where she was.
“But you loved her more.” Walking closer, she leaned over. “I wanted you to suffer more, but it appears I won’t have that luxury. God’s speed.” Pulling one of the knives out of him, she again raised it above her head and brought it down through the side of his neck. Twisting it, she jumped out of the way at the weak stream of blood that sprang from his body.
With a sigh, Morgan turned from Nutter and faced Stormy. “So it’s just the two of us now.”
“Please, please don’t hurt me.”
Slowly Morgan strode over to her and crouched down, so they were eye level. Without breaking eye contact, she brought the knife up in-between them, and licked Nutter’s blood off of it, enjoying Stormy’s whimpers of fear.
“Ahhhh... Nutter’s Princess and Bender’s Bride, what shall become of you?” Carefully she ran the blade down Stormy’s arm as to not break the skin. “You know; under different circumstances, we could have been friends. But Nutter was too obsessed. Such a shame, I really did love him.” She glanced over at his body on the bed before looking back at Stormy. “But he loved his revenge more.”
“I never wanted any of this,” Stormy’s voice quivered, as a tear ran down her cheek.
“I know. I know. Poor little Stormy, all the boys want you. What are you going to do?”
Stormy shook her head. “I just want to go home to my boys. Please. I never did anything to you.”
“No, no you didn’t.” Morgan tapped her bottom lip. “I can practically see your heart beating in your chest. I’m sure if I cut in the right spot.” She poked Stormy in the neck. “Blood would spurt out across the room. It would seem your heart is quite healthy. I bet you could even get your blood on Nutter. I’m sure he’d love to have your blood mixed with his, even in his death.”
“Please, I don’t want anything to do with him, please let me go.”
Sliding her knife between the rope and Stormy’s wrist, she paused and looked her deeply in the eye. The future Morgan had been planning had changed. But she hadn’t gotten to this point in her life without taking a different path than the one she’d originally started down. If she moved the knife down Stormy would die, here in the same room as Nutter. If she decided on the other direction, she’d escape and go on to live another day.
With a flick of her wrist, she cut the binds that held one of Stormy’s wrists to the chair. Morgan stood up and walked to the door leading to the tunnel, which would take her away from Nutter’s home.
Before closing it, she turned back to Stormy, who was already trying to untie the knots from her other wrist. “Don’t waste your breath screaming, this room is soundproof, your husband and the cops upstairs can’t hear you. When you’re done, go through that door, across the basement, and up the stairs. You’ll come out in the kitchen. Go. Live your life, free from him, but don’t follow me. Don’t you ever try to find me. You’ve seen what I’m capable of. I won’t hesitate to give you the ending Nutter always wanted. Do not search for me, or I will take everything you hold dear and kill it in more delectable ways than anything Nutter could have come up with. Understand?”
Stormy nodded.
With that, she closed the door on that part of her life and started on her next phase.
Twenty-Five
Stormy’s fingers fumbled with the ropes that held her tied to the chair. She hoped by keeping focused on the task to get free, she’d be able to ignore Nutter’s dead body lying there on the bed, too close for her comfort. She was torn between being disgusted about everything she’d just witnessed and being ecstatic that she was finally free. Nutter would no longer be coming for her.
The room reeked of death, she was pretty sure this wasn’t the first death the room as seen, but she was praying it would be the last. That Morgan wouldn’t change her mind and come back in to finish her off.
With the last of the ropes untied, she stood up too quickly and almost fainted. Gritting her teeth, she lurched toward the table where she grabbed one of the knives as a weapon before going to the door; the opposite one Morgan had gone through and opened it. Once she was in the basement, she started breathing again. She’d never been so happy to see the sunlight coming through the low basement windows and lighting up the floor.
“Bender.” Stormy’s voice came out softer than she wanted. Gripping the doorframe, she cleared her throat and tried again. “Bender.” Her shaking legs could hardly hold her up. She knew Morgan wouldn’t follow her up the stairs and change her mind and kill her, but it didn’t stop her imagination from seeing it happen.
“Stormy? Where are you?” Bender’s heavy footfalls and a panicked voice echoed throughout the house as he raced toward her. “Are you okay?” He wrapped his arms tight around her. “Let me look at you.”
“I’m fine. I want to go home.” Closing her eyes, she let Bender’s warmth soak into her.
“What did he do to you? What did they do?”
“I just want to get out of here, please. I can’t be in this place anymore.”
Bender picked her up and carried her outside, where he set her down in the passenger seat of his SUV. Relaxing against the seat, she knew she was close to losing it. Over and over the scene played in her head, everything she’d gone through down there.
A low rumble began below their feet and Stormy knew what it was. They were both so intelligent, they would have thought at some point they would have to destroy what they’d built. Morgan must have caved in the underground chamber. The one that had Nutter’s body in it.
The house before them started to shift and crack, but it didn’t topple. The police officers that were still inside collecting evidence came running out and
dust billowed from the door. She hoped they all had been able to get out.
“He’s dead. He’s truly dead.” Her eyes didn’t leave the house.
“Nutter?”
“Yeah, Morgan killed him.” Stormy shuddered. “She tortured and killed him, right in front of me. At first, I was terrified what he’d do to me, then she knocked him out. The whole time I thought I was next, but she let me go.”
“Why? Why would she do that? She’d have to know we’d still pursue her.”
“She’s smart, Bender, smarter than Nutter, if you can believe that.” She shook her head. “You’ll never find her.”
“Am I supposed to let a killer walk?”
Stormy’s eyes were tight with fatigue, she had to make him understand, without coming out and letting him exactly know, what she’d agreed to with Morgan. He had to come to the same realization without knowing he had to if they all were going to be safe. “She killed Nutter. We are finally free.”
“Do you think she’s killed other people?”
“Probably.”
“She needs to at least pay for that.”
“You do what you have to do, but she saved our future. We don’t have to worry about Nutter anymore.” She had to make him realize that if Morgan was gone and Nutter was dead, they would be free and not have to live in fear anymore. “You know if it came down to it, we’d both do whatever it took to take him out and keep our family safe. She ended up doing that for us.”
“Stormy…”
“Mom!” Donnie’s shout made her smile and the tears to start again.
“Come here.” Getting out of the vehicle she went to meet him and opened her arms wide. Her son was safe, she was safe. Bender was here and she knew Henry was safe with one of Bender’s teams. For the first time, in over a decade, she could see their future, the one not ruled by fear. The one where Nutter wasn’t a part of their lives, and everything was going to be all right.
Epilogue
Morgan relaxed back on a lounge chair, enjoying the cool ocean breeze. Her plan to escape had gone off without a hitch. She’d always planned for someone to figure out her connection to Nutter and knew if he kept down the path he started, Bender and his crew would be coming for them. She loved life too much to be put away or killed.
Now, because of her forethought of adding a separate, hidden escape tunnel and everything Nutter had shared with her, she didn’t have to work anymore. She didn’t have to be in the States. She could simply enjoy life, and if she wanted to, there was a short trip by boat to pick up some local male who wanted to fuck the rich American woman. Too bad they were never seen again.
“Here’s your drink, ma’am.”
“Thank you.” The ice-cold of the fruity drink slid down her throat.
“Can I get anything else for you, Mrs. Goodwin?”
“No, I’m perfectly fine, Alfred, perfectly fine.”
