  Dear Readers,

If you can’t tell, I love writing age play romances. It’s the only thing I write. I also only write books with a happily ever after because who really wants to read anything else. I try to write books that I would like to read hoping that you will enjoy them too! I’m starting to gear up to attend some book conferences and events this year. I’ll be at the Show Me Your Book Event in Kansas City on Sept 8, 2018 from noon until 3 at the downtown Marriot unless you’re a VIP ticket holder and then put on your dancing shoes. We’ll spend a lot of time together. On November 8, 2018, I’ll be at the Sam’s Town Casino in Las Vegas from 3-5. Let me know if there’s a book event near you that you think I should attend!

It seems like there are a million ways for you to connect with me these days. Choose your favorite platform(s) and make sure you get the latest news. I’m still trying to figure out how to use Instagram and Twitter. My newsletter has been a great success. Each one has a short Little story that you won’t want to miss. The next one will be out in August of 2018. Psst! If you’ve missed any newsletters and wish to catch up will all the fun, head to my website and the back issues are posted for you to download.   Chapter 1

Shelby Daniels twirled around in the dressing room, making the pretty blue dress float around her thighs. It was the same color as her big, blue eyes, which made them stand out even more in her heart-shaped face.

“Hi, Daddy,” she practiced softly in the mirror, but sadness shadowed her eyes. She had dreamed since she could remember of meeting her Daddy, well, Daddies, because her dreams always featured two men, but they hadn’t appeared in her life. Her family and friends were all encouraging her to date and find her Mr. Perfect. They said it wasn’t right for such a beautiful woman to not go out on Friday and Saturday night to flirt. Did she expect to have Prince Charming ring her doorbell?

They couldn’t understand that Shelby preferred her e-reader to fending off the groping hands of men who were so wrong for her. Reading and rereading the erotic romances she had found on the internet inspired her hope that she’d find the men who were right for her. She just needed to keep looking. She knew her Daddy was out there. Shelby crossed her fingers as she corrected herself: she knew her Daddies were out there.

Picturing them in her mind, she knew they were strong and forceful. The details of their height and hair color didn’t matter to her. Her Daddies were looking for her, too. They needed to find their Little girl, the baby whom they would care for completely. She knew it would be embarrassing at times. Her face colored in the mirror at the thought of submitting to the intimate care they would lavish on her. Their requirements would push her boundaries, but she wouldn’t be able to refuse them. They were her Daddies.

A cough in the next dressing room startled the slender brunette. She glanced at her watch with dismay. Quickly, she unzipped the dress and hung it carefully on the hanger. She couldn’t leave it here. Crossing her fingers once again that no one would be at the register, Shelby rushed to redress and run from the dressing room with her precious find cradled in her arms. She was in l
uck: no one was checking out. She put the dress on her credit card and waited long enough for them to hang a plastic bag over the beautiful garment.

Dashing out of the store, she ran as fast as her sandals allowed back to her office building. Her boss had been out this morning. With luck, he’d have meetings all day. She opened the door to rush into the air conditioning. Looking down to make sure she wasn’t crumpling her dress, Shelby walked straight into a hard, male body. She bounced back, stumbling on her heels. Just as she was about to fall backward, a strong hand wrapped around her elbow to steady her.

“Whoa! You were going too fast there, Little girl. Are you okay?” a low, masculine voice enveloped her.

Shelby looked up into a handsome chiseled face. Her eyes drifted down his expensive, custom-tailored suit that hugged his broad shoulders. A warm feeling started in her tummy and expanded into her body. She hadn’t had this sensation before.

She paused as they looked at each other. In a flash, she remembered she was late and stammered her apologies as she ducked around his body that almost spanned the width of the doorway. “I’m so sorry, sir. I should watch where I am going,” she called over her shoulder as she rushed into the warren of cubicles. That feeling in her tummy scared her. What was her body telling her?

“Wait! Are you alright?” his voice followed her into the building.

The proverbial thumbs-up was the only answer she took time to give him as she escaped from his view. Finding her home away from home, she stumbled into her cube. She hung her dress on the cube wall and flung herself into her chair as she dropped her purse on the desk. Her fingers flew over the keys to log back into her computer.

Taking a deep breath, she felt her shoulders drop from around her ears. She’d made it. Looking up at her screen, she saw the blue sticky note: You’re late. Thank you for volunteering to work on Saturday without pay.

Her head drooped despondently. “So much for going to play in the park,” she mumbled to herself.

“He came by about five minutes ago. He looked pretty smug. I read the note. I bet he was going to ask you to work this weekend for extra pay. You just saved his budget by coming in late,” a snarky voice came from behind her.

“Hi, Veronica. It’s okay. I didn’t have anything to do this weekend.”

“You didn’t buy that dress, did you? It looks like something a six-year-old would like,” Veronica observed as she examined her long red nails for nicks.

“Oh, you know me, Veronica. I have horrid taste in clothing,” Shelby answered with a smile. She was determined not to let the catty woman know she was bothered by her incessant negative comments.

If she had to work on Saturday, at least Veronica wouldn’t be there. Shelby typed a quick message to her boss that she’d mark her schedule to come in as he requested. She wanted him to know she hadn’t been that late. Maybe he’d let her leave at noon.

She turned to the stack of papers and started working. Her boss had left additional work for her to complete as well when he’d visited her cubicle. Starting to feel a little depressed, Shelby turned to look at the beautiful dress. It was so wonderful. “Worth it!” Shelby whispered before diving in to complete as much of the paperwork as possible.

She locked the picture of the handsome man and the feel of his body against hers into a small box in her brain and threw away the key. He was way out of her league.

  Chapter 2

Saturday morning, Shelby forced herself to get up. She carefully made her bed and set her stuffed duck, Mr. Quackers, on top. She’d had Mr. Quackers forever. He was her best friend, but this morning he looked very grumpy. He liked to sleep in on the weekends.

“Sorry, Mr. Quackers. I have to go to work, but, it’s okay. I’ll be back, and we can play all day tomorrow, I promise.” Shelby threw a kiss across the room to him. Pausing to admire the new blue dress in her closet, she grabbed a pair of jeans and a clean tee shirt from the closet. “Worth it!” she sang with a smile.

At least she didn’t have to dress up when she worked on the weekend. She pulled on her clothes and went into the bathroom to tame her hair. Her brown hair was just below her shoulders and wildly curly. She usually pulled it back into a bun for work, but today, she brushed it and braided it down the back of her head. It would be out of the way. After a brush of mascara and some lip gloss, she was ready!

Waving goodbye to Mr. Quackers, Shelby skipped down the stairs heading for her car. A quick stop for a latte that was more milk and sugar than coffee, and she was headed for the office. As she pulled into the deserted parking lot, Shelby found a space close to the entrance and entered much more leisurely than her last dash through that door. She didn’t know where her boss was, but she had plenty of work to complete. Heading to her desk, she waved at the three other unlucky people who had to work over the weekend.

She began to work on the stack of papers that her dedicated efforts Friday afternoon had diminished in size. She knew her boss would come to find her when he arrived. She might as well get this pile done while she was waiting to see what else he had planned for her to do. Shelby had just gotten to the last page when a low, male voice sounded next to her.

“What are you doing at work on a Saturday, Little girl?”

Shelby turned with her usual cheerful smile to meet familiar eyes. Immediately, that heat in her tummy reappeared. She tried to ignore it as she attempted to conceal the impact he was having on her. Bolstering her friendly Shelby demeanor, she smiled and answered, “Hey, you’re the man who stopped me from falling when I careened into you at the door. Thank you again.”

She stood and thrust her hand out to shake his, smiling a little more as his big hand made hers almost disappear. “You must be new here. I’m sorry you got stuck working on Saturday, too,” she said collegially.

“Already complaining about your work, Shelby?” Her boss’ unpleasant tone wiped the smile from her face.

She nodded at the new man and squared her shoulders before turning around with a fake smile to greet her boss. “Hi, Mr. Bryant. I was just being friendly. I’m not one to complain about working. In fact, I’ll get back to this stack, unless there’s something else you asked me to come in to complete today?” She sat back at her computer.

A large hand reached over her shoulder to pick up the last page she was working on. Immediately her boss stepped forward with his hand out to take the page. “You don’t need to worry about that, Mr. Andrews. Shelby will get caught up with her work today.” The new man’s other hand came up to ward off her boss’ approach as he lifted the page in his hand to read the contents.

Shelby looked back and forth between the two men trying to figure out what was going on. She knew she was missing something. Why was the new guy in a suit? Surely someone told him Saturdays were casual. Even her boss was in jeans.

“Bryant, this is the work I personally gave you two weeks ago. You’ve waited past the deadline and brought in one of the employees under your supervision on the weekend to be paid overtime to complete work you should have finished a week ago?”

“Oh, I’m not getting paid,” Shelby chimed in, trying to protect her boss. She knew everyone’s budget was tight. They’d gotten lots of emails about that. She didn’t like Dwayne Bryant, but she always wanted to protect everyone–even if they were unpleasant.

“She’s here without getting paid for her time?” Jeremy Andrews said tensely. A muscle in his jaw jumped as he clenched his teeth to control his temper. He didn’t understand why he felt so antagonistic toward the weasel of a supervisor. He turned to the pretty woman who looked so worried as her gaze bounced back and forth between the two men.

“Shelby, thank you for coming in on a Saturday. I will make sure you get paid for an entire day at twice your normal hourly salary. While you’re here, could I ask two favors?” He smiled as she nodded eagerly. “Would you mind entering this last page of information? It is vital, or I wouldn’t ask. When you finish, would you stay here for a few minutes? I’d like to talk to y
ou privately.”

“Oh, no problem. I’ll be glad to finish and wait.” Relieved, Shelby turned back to her computer.

“Let’s go talk in your office, Dwayne.” Jeremy’s low voice sent shivers down her spine.

The two men walked away, disappearing from her view. She was just finishing entering all the data on the page when she saw two of the front desk men walk down the aisle past her cube and toward her boss’ office. Shelby took a second to check and clear her email.

A loud commotion began behind her. Startled, Shelby stood and watched with her mouth open as the two security men from the front door escorted an angry Dwayne Bryant through the cubes toward the elevator. When he caught sight of her, he flung out an arm, yelling insults about an empty-headed woman causing him to lose his job. Shelby sank back onto her chair and rolled to the far side of her cube, closing her eyes and clasping her hands over her ears to shut out the vicious words. She stayed in this withdrawn posture until a large hand wrapped around her shoulder. She jumped to her feet as she opened her eyes to see the threat.

“Whoa, Shelby. It’s just me, Jeremy Andrews. Everything’s okay. I’m sorry you had to see that unpleasantness. I should have moved you to an alternate location to shield you. Are you okay, Little girl?” he asked as he walked forward to rest his hands on her shoulders.
