I walk toward Nicholas and he hands me Lauren. I can’t help but smile whenever she is in my arms. “She woke up and all she wanted was her mommy. I can’t blame her. All I ever want is her mommy, too.”
I laugh and kiss him. Things between us have been amazing. We got married a few months before Lauren was born. It was just the two of us, but it couldn’t have been more perfect. After everything we have been through together it’s a miracle we made it, but we did.
I finally got my happily ever after.
I finally have my family.
