“When I walked up and saw you there with Dailey, I wanted to smash his face,” he admitted, his voice grim.
“I thought you were going to.”
“I would have, if he hadn’t taken his hands off you.” Justin kissed her thoroughly. “You were mine. You always will be. I love you so much. Believe me, you’re never going to get away from me again.” He kissed her again and again, savoring her taste. His heart was beating so fast, he thought he was in danger of having an attack.
Heather stared up at him. “About your possessiveness—”
“I’ll work on that, too,” he promised.
Smiling, she answered, “Well, don’t work too hard on it.”
“Wench,” he said, kissing her neck, then he gazed into her emerald-green eyes. “I’ll love you for the rest of my life. That’s a promise, sweetheart.”
Heather lifted her mouth for his kiss. It was a promise she believed.
