“You’re amazing,” he sighed.
“When do I start my training?” I asked.
“Well, whenever you want.”
“So I can wait till after I finish college? Or at least some of it.”
“Yeah.”
“After I’m done training can I finish college?”
“Training takes a long time. You could probably get quite a few degrees while you train.”
“Oh really?” I asked curiously.
“I’ve been training for three hundred years.”
“What?” I looked at him wide eyed.
“I was off on my own after ten, but I still have training.”
“That’s a lot of training.”
“It’s not like we’re flipping burgers or filing paperwork.”
“That’s true.”
“You may be longer though,” he said.
“Why?”
“You’re the goddess of war and wisdom, you have more to learn.”
“Great.”
“It’s not so bad,” he said, pulling me in closer.
“You don’t have Ares as a father,” I grumbled.
“This is true.”
“I love you, Adrian.”
“I love you, Cara, more than anything else.”
“Be with me?”
“I am,” he said.
“I mean forever.”
“I am.”
I lifted my head letting my lips rest on his, while wrapping my arms around his neck. I had no idea what forever in immortal terms was. Could we really last for the rest of eternity?
Or until the Titans returned again?
The End.
