Xander was late. She sat on one of the benches near the café waiting for him, and that was when she noticed Liam. He was standing near the far wall by the glass doors at the entrance to the building. He was staring at her very intently. A group of people walked in front of her view, and when they passed, he was gone. Maybe she hadn’t seen him. Maybe it was her mind playing tricks on her. He had consumed so much of her time lately even though she tried to ignore it.
“Ava, sweetheart, let’s go.”
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t realize Xander had come out of the elevator. She jumped when he said her name, hiding her discomfort with a smile. He held out his hand, and she grasped it. She looked around the main floor but didn’t see Liam anywhere. She decided not to mention what she had seen.
It was sunny, and the sky was cloudless. Temperatures were the low eighties which was warm for the end of May. She begged Xander to tell her what he had planned for the weekend.
“Come on; you can’t keep me in the dark. Just tell me one thing.”
Xander shook his head.
“Fine. Be that way.” She turned to look out the window.
“I promise you will love everything I have planned for you.”
“No, No, you can’t do that to me and make me wait.” “
I’m not going to tell you even if you twist my arm.”
Ava turned her head to look out the window again and crossed her arms. She hated surprises. After a few minutes, she reached up and started curling her fingers around his thick hair. She loved how it curled just above his collar and wondered if they had a child would they have curly hair too. It’s a bit early to be thinking about having children with him. We barely have been together for two months. But she continued to daydream what it would be like to be his wife and the home where they would live. How many children would they have?
“Sweetheart, can you get a bottle of water out of the small cooler behind your seat. I’m thirsty.”
His request broke the spell, and she came back to reality. She handed him a bottle of water.
“Can you open it for me? I don’t want to take my hands off the wheel.” She opened the bottle and handed it back to him. He took a swig and put it in the console then reached for her hand to kiss it. Traffic was not as bad as Xander had expected and they got to his parent’s lake house in less than four hours. Ava had fallen asleep, and after he had pulled into the long driveway, he stared at her for a minute. She looks like a little angel. He couldn’t resist, and he woke her with a kiss.
“Where are we?”
“We are at Chateau Wilder. Let’s get all the bags inside and I will give you the grand tour.”
Ava looked at the home and grand was right. It was huge and made entirely of logs. Even the railings on the wraparound porch were fashioned out of logs.
Xander unloaded the bags and carried them into the house. Ava wanted to help, but he shrugged her off. He opened the door, and they walked into a great room with vaulted ceilings and a huge fieldstone fireplace. The second floor was open, and she could see through the log railings that there were many doors upstairs.
“How many bedrooms does this house have?”
“Seven, but we are staying in the downstairs master bedroom. It has a beautiful king sized bed and an en suite with a bathtub built for six.” He carried the bags to the master bedroom, and when he opened the door, her mouth dropped open. There were several vases of lavender roses. Their fragrance filled the bedroom.
“Oh, how beautiful.” She remembered when he sent her lavender roses several weeks ago.
“You haven’t seen the best yet.” He put his hand over her eyes and led her into the bathroom. When he took his hand away, she saw a two large vases sitting on the tub ledge with many red roses. “The lavender roses were for what you did to my heart when I first met you; you enchanted me. The red roses are for how I feel about you now. I love you.”
Ava started to get teary eyed. She loved him as much as he loved her. She hugged him, and he kissed the top of her head.
“I have something for you,” he said.
He sat her down on the seat by the marble vanity and removed a black velvet box from his pocket. Ava’s first thought was, is he going to ask me to marry him? She started to feel panic until he opened the box. Inside were two thick gold bands, one smaller than the other. She didn’t say anything, and he removed the bands from the box.
“This ring is a symbol of my love. This is to be worn on your right hand until we get engaged. I love you Ava, and I plan on marrying you one day.” He handed her the ring. “Look at the inscription.”
She turned the ring until she saw the writing inside. It was inscribed in tiny script letters “I want you for always.” Ava started to cry, hard. The tears streamed down her face as she rolled the ring over and over between her fingers.
“Why are you crying?”
“I never expected to find someone like you,” she said between sobs.
“I’ve always been here. You just needed to find me.”
“What does your ring say?”
“It has no inscription. I am leaving that up to you.” He handed her his ring. “Put this on me.” He held out his right hand, and she slipped the ring on his finger. She dropped her ring in his hand, and he slipped it on her finger.
“Come, the sun will be setting soon, and I want to enjoy our first lake sunset together.” He led her out to the dock that jutted out in the water at least one hundred feet. They sat at the end of it with their legs dangling above the lake. Ava could not remember ever being this happy. They stayed on the dock until the sun had slipped below the horizon.
“Let’s go back inside. I want to show you the rest of the house.” He gave her the tour. The upstairs had six large bedrooms and seven bathrooms. There was also a stairway to an upstairs deck on the roof. You could see for several miles in either direction. When the tour was finished, Xander took her to the oversized chef’s kitchen. He opened the refrigerator, and it was fully stocked with all kinds of goodies.
“How did you get all the groceries?”
“Annie, a family friend that lives in town, manages the house when we aren’t here. We rent it out to a select few during the summer, and she takes care of hiring cleaning people and inspecting it for damage. I gave her a list of things for our weekend.”
Ava pointed to a white box tied with bakery string on the top shelf. “What is that? Can I have a peek?”
“Absolutely not. You will have to wait until I am ready to show you.” She smacked his arm and stomped away. He ran after her and picked her up in his arms turning in circles.
“Stop, Xander. I’m getting dizzy.” He dropped her on the large sectional in the great room and stumbled to sit down.
“So are you hungry? I can cook on the grill if you like. Annie has a couple of steaks marinating in the refrigerator.”
“I’m hungry but not the steak kind of hungry. Do you have any cold cuts in there?”
“Sure, we can have sandwiches.” After dinner, they sat out on the porch looking out onto the water. Xander had opened a bottle of wine, and they each had a glass. “It’s so peaceful up here.”
“Yes, it is. My parents bought this property many years ago, and my father had an architect design this house. It took over a year and a half to complete everything. We used to come up here every summer when we were kids. Now that we are older it sits vacant for a lot of the time.”
“That is a terrible waste to leave something so beautiful empty.”
“I agree. My sister used to come here with her family, but she now owns a summer home in Cape Cod and goes there most summers. My other sister, Lidia, lives in California and hasn’t been on the East Coast for almost two years. Maybe we can visit her.”
“I’ve never been to the West Coast. I don’t like flying, though.”
Ava got up and sat on Xander’s lap. She put her head to his chest, and he put his arms around her.
“I love you, Ava Ke
ene.”
“I love you, Alexander Wilder.”
At bedtime, Ava took a small overnight case into the bathroom. Xander had already gotten ready for bed and was lying on the fresh sheets in a pair of boxer shorts and t-shirt. In the case, she had packed three sets of lingerie. She wasn’t sure which one she was going to wear. The first was a lace and satin apron babydoll in beige and black with black lace thong panties. The second was a sheer white robe with a matching pair of sheer thong panties. The third was a black corset with mesh panties. She wasn’t sure which one Xander would find most sexy. The black corset was a bit risqué and would probably be better to wear after the first time they had sex. The white robe was see-through, and he would be able to see her breasts, which she knew he loved. The baby doll accentuated her breasts but was not as revealing as the white set. She opted for the sheer robe.
She took her time changing and was meticulous about her makeup, not too much but just enough to get his attention. Not that she needed the makeup to get his attention. The lingerie would do that on its own. She put her hair up and away from her neck. He had said many times that her neck was sexy. The last thing she did was put on the diamond teardrop earrings that she had gotten for her sixteenth birthday. She looked at herself in the mirror realizing this might be her final reflection as a virgin. She wanted Xander very much, but she was nervous and a little scared. He would be gentle with her but was she ready for this? She opened the door, and Xander looked up from his phone.
“Wow, is that for me? You look gorgeous.” Ava approached the bed and sat down on her side. He got up on his knees and kissed the back of her exposed neck. “You smell delicious,” he said as he pressed his nose to her neck. He moved his mouth to her ear and licked the lobe. She reached up to touch his face as he kissed her. He moved back so he could lay her down on the bed and he hovered over her, looking into her green eyes. She turned her head away.
“No, don’t turn away from me. I want to look in your eyes.”
Ava turned her head back, so she was facing him. He pressed his lips to hers and began to kiss her. He shifted, so he was laying on top or her while still leaning partially on his arms. Ava closed her eyes and placed her hands on the back of his neck, playing with the thick hair at his collar. Xander moved his head down to kiss her neck and suck at it. Then he moved further down pushing the robe open at her shoulder so he could kiss her collar bone. Ava let out a small moan as she felt that familiar hot flush that only Xander could give. All her senses were wide awake, and she had heightened awareness of everything. She could smell Xander’s cologne and the roses he had placed around the bedroom. The softness of the sheets of the bed and his warm body against hers.
Xander continued his downward trek over her body. Her nipples were straining against the sheer white cloth that hid nothing. He sucked them through the fabric, leaving it wet. She moaned louder as he nibbled on them. He opened her robe exposing her upper body. He cupped her breasts and caressed them with his fingers. He stopped his descent to take off his t-shirt and to help her remove the robe. His erection was straining against his boxers.
“Ava, are you alright?”
She nodded, too afraid to speak. She was worried that her voice would crack since she was very nervous. Xander noticed how flush her cheeks were. He got on his knees between her legs and kissed her belly working his way down to her mound. She shifted her hips in anticipation of his mouth being on her. He clasped his fingers on either side of her panties.
“Lift your hips for me.” She did, and he pulled her panties off dropping them on the floor. He could see how wet she was, but he wanted her to be as lubricated as possible when he entered her. He began kissing her outer lips and mound. He used his fingers to spread her and slipped his tongue into her vagina.
“Oh shit, Xander!” He continued to swirl his tongue in her using his fingers to stimulate her clit. He craved her sweet taste and the wetter she became, the harder he sucked and licked. He removed his tongue from her and slid in a finger. She was very tight. He slid another in to stretch her. He was large and thick and the initial push was going to hurt her. He wanted to give her as much preparation as possible.
“I want you in me. Please…”
“Shhh, be patient. I want to make sure that you are ready before I do that.” When he was sure that she was wet, enough he took his mouth away. She protested but saw that he was removing his boxers. His erection was kissing his belly, and the head left a wet mark. He unzipped a pocket in one of his bags, then another and finally he went to his wallet. He usually kept one there but recently he had gotten a new wallet and must not have transferred it over.
“Dammit!!”
“What, what is it?”
“I forgot to bring condoms. I think I left them on my dresser. I’m sorry. I can use my mouth to make you come.”
“We don’t need condoms.”
“I’m not going to pull out.”
“No, that is not what I mean. I started taking the pill three weeks ago.”
Xander’s face brightened. What Ava didn’t know is that almost the entire time he dated Abby, she had demanded he wear a condom. She was on birth control but insisted that she didn’t like the mess his cum made. With all her cheating on him, he was glad that she demanded it. They only had sex without a condom twice, and it was early on in their relationship. He loved the feel of having sex without a condom and with Ava it would be all the sweeter because he was in love with her. He climbed back on the bed and got between her legs.
“Ava, are you ready for this?” She was and wasn’t, but she wanted it. She nodded her head. He stared into her eyes and saw nothing but desire in them. He took his cock and rubbed it up and down through her slit, lubricating it. When he felt it was wet enough, he pushed his head against her entrance.
“Ready?”
She looked into his eyes and nodded again.
“Take a deep breath.”
She did, and he gently pushed into her. She was so tight, and he needed to do one more thrust before he was fully inside. Ava felt the pain as he pushed into her. She gritted her teeth and waited for him to do the final push. He waited for a few seconds.
He whispered, “Are you okay?”
“Yes,” she whispered back.
“Okay, final push.” With one big thrust, then he slowly started to move in and out of her.
“You are so tight and wet.” She was hurting as he moved inside her but she didn’t want to stop him. She started getting used to the feeling of him.
“Wrap your legs around me. It will open you up further.” She did so, and the pain started to fade until she felt nothing but pleasure. He continued to thrust in and out of her, sucking on her nipples, kissing her neck. She dug her nails into his arms. Xander was moaning loudly.
“Oh God, you feel so good.”
They were both beginning to sweat, and she wiped at his brow. He pushed himself up on his arms so he could see her face.
“I’m getting close, but I don’t want to come until you have. Are you close?”
“Yes,” was all she could manage to say. He moved himself up a little higher, so the base of his cock was rubbing harder against her clit. He changed his hip motion, and her breathing was getting much heavier and becoming ragged.
“I’m going to come.” Ava moaned.
He felt the release of her orgasm, squeezing, coaxing him to let go. And then he did. He thrust hard into her, filling her with his release. When he had finished, he rested on her but still kept most of his weight on his elbows. Then he slid himself out and collapsed next to her.
“Sweetheart, you haven’t said anything. Are you alright?”
“Except for the pain in the beginning, that was wonderful. Can we do it again?”
Xander laughed. “Give me a few minutes and you might want to wait for a few yourself. I’m sure you are a bit sore.” She was, but she liked the feeling of him being inside her more. He leaned over and checked her.
“You bled a little.”r />
“I did?”
“Yes, just a little bit of pink. Come in the bathroom so we can get you cleaned up.”
When she stood, she felt wetness on her legs. She swiped at it and saw the thick white cum on her hand. “You came a lot. More than when I sucked you.”
“We haven’t fooled around in several days, and it’s been building. It will be less next time.” She entered the bathroom with Xander, and he turned on the shower. She looked at herself in the mirror. She was no longer a virgin. They soaped each other under the hot spray and dried each other when they got out. Ava was going to put something on to sleep in, but she decided against it. She had nothing left to hide. She had given Xander her body and her virginity. The bed had a large wet spot on the sheets tinged with a spot of pink blood.
“The sheet is wet. Maybe we should change them, Xander.”
“Well, we could be we might be changing them several times this weekend.”
She wrinkled her nose. “I don’t want to sleep in that.”
“The bed is big enough for us to sleep on my side.
They got into bed on his side, and he laid her on top of him. Before she would have felt embarrassed to lie this way but she had no inhibitions after having sex. She wanted to lie on him and feel his warmth against her. He wrapped his arms around her, and they started to kiss. She sat up, and he palmed her breasts. She yawned.
“Oh, I’m sorry if I am boring you?”
“You’re not, I’m just tired. Can we go to sleep?”
“Sure, whatever you want.” She snuggled against his side, and he turned out the bedside lamp. She had the best sleep she had in a long time, a deep dreamless sleep.
Xander, on the other hand, was wide awake for awhile. I should have told her before this happened. Now that we have made love I have no idea how she is going to react to what I need to tell her.
He made every excuse in his mind. The situation with Victoria, Liam, the SUV, it all boiled down to him. He should have told her weeks ago. Any pain his revelation would cause would tear him apart. He was hopelessly in love with her. He couldn’t lose her because of something that happened years ago. It was so stupid and thoughtless, a dumb frat prank. At least it was supposed to be. Eventually, he would have to tell her because if she found out from someone else, she would consider it a betrayal, a betrayal of their love. He promised never to hurt her, to protect her.
