When he released her lips, she was swooning. “Steady there, Ashton.” Derrick loved that he could get her to do that. “I should have told you the truth months ago.”
“No, I have to go. Better said: you have to go. I need to make a phone call.” Elise pushed away from him and went over to Ashton’s desk.
“Make your phone call. I’ll wait. Then we can get a cup of coffee and talk.”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Ashton, don’t push me away.”
I’m not Ashton. “Please, excuse me.” Elise hoped she sounded like Ashton.
“Should I wait outside?”
“You should leave.” This game had gone too far already. She needed to end it.
“I’ll admit that I’m disappointed. Good evening, Ashton.” Slowly he walked to the door, hoping she would change her mind.
Elise wanted to roll her eyes, thinking that he was being so boyish. Then her stomach growled.
Derrick turned back to her and smiled.
Elise felt horrified. She laid her hand over her stomach and blushed.
“I hear you would rather go get something to eat. Forget the coffee, Ashton. We can get a burger.”
“A burger?” The thought that a man could get Ashton to go out with him by promising her a hamburger was ridiculous. Elise had to smile.
“Yes, Ashton, like real people. I want to sit across from you in a diner and talk to you.”
Elise was hungry. She hadn’t eaten since breakfast. Besides, this was a chance for him to get to know her. Perhaps he would like her once he got to know the real her.
“I’d like a burger, but I’d want French fries too.” Elise smiled at him.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Elise grabbed Ashton’s coat and went to his hand. The simple touch was sending shocks through her.
It was impossible to believe that she was too young for him when he smiled at her and held her hand.
Chapter 10 – A Cup of Coffee
Derrick took her to a diner where he liked to eat. The food was good and cheap. They sat in a booth and smiled at each other.
“I’m guessing you’ve never been here before.” Derrick was pleased that she would eat at a place like this with him.
“You guessed correctly.” Elise enjoyed flirting with him. For the first time ever she had his undivided attention. This was the best moment she’d had since she first met him.
Derrick couldn’t believe how amazing she was. She was so much better than he had ever hoped she’d be.
Derrick told her about his family and what it had been like for him growing up. Elise thought he was more interesting because he had worked his way up to the top.
Elise tried to say as little as possible. She was enjoying his attention, and she didn’t want it to end.
She felt like a grown-up for the first time in her life.
If only this wasn’t all pretend.
After three hours of talking, Elise yawned, proving she was tired.
“I would love to take you home with me and bring you to bed – to my bed,” he clarified.
Elise blushed. She wasn’t used to men talking to her like that, as if she were desirable. What would Ashton say to him?
“Do you live nearby?” she asked when she couldn't think of anything else to say. She also asked out of curiosity and because she wanted to change the topic.
Derrick’s jaw dropped. Could this sincerely be happening? “Close enough.” He stood and picked up her coat, so he could help her into it.
Elise was scolding herself to back out now. This had gone on too long already. She could say, ‘By the way, I’m Elise not Ashton.’
She opened her mouth to tell him, but she couldn’t do it. The words weren’t coming out of her.
It was two in the morning. She couldn’t call her father to come and get her at this hour. She would say goodnight and call a taxi and get home that way.
Derrick could see that she regretted what she said. “Hey, we don’t have to – do anything. We can have another cup of coffee and talk some more.”
“At your place?”
“Yes. I give you my word as a gentleman that I won’t ravish you. Unless you ask me to.”
Elise gave him a smile.
Derrick paid for their meal and then took hold of her hand. He hailed a taxi and one stopped immediately.
Today was his day. Everything was going his way. Mr. Montfort had taken his side, and Ashton wasn’t bitter about losing. In fact, she was on her way with him to his apartment where they may or may not have sex.
Derrick was picturing her naked. Would he get to see what she looked like unclothed this evening? The dress she was wearing revealed a lot. It was tight fitting around her breasts and he could see her creamy shoulders. Still, he wanted to see the real thing.
Elise was alone with a man in a cab. Her heart was pounding, and she felt guilty. This had gone on too long. She had to come clean.
“Maybe you could drop me off at the office,” she suggested.
“Ashton, I won’t bite you. I know you’re tired. I think you’re too tired to drive. You can sleep in my bed, and I’ll sleep on the couch.”
“You would do that for me?” That would solve her problems. Tomorrow she could walk to the office, change her clothes and call her father to come get her.
“Yes, I would.”
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome, Ashton.”
The cab parked in front of an apartment building. It was a four-story high brownstone building. It wasn’t fancy, and it wasn’t in the best part of town. Thankfully, it wasn’t in the worst part either.
Derrick paid the driver and laid his arm around Ashton. He wished he had a picture of her in this dress. She looked so amazing, and she was going into his apartment with him.
“So this is a first for you.” He asked as they walked up the three flights of stairs to his apartment.
“What do you mean?” Elise looked away from him. She needed to sound like Ashton.
“You said you never slept elsewhere.”
“Yes, that’s true.” Now! Tell him the truth now, she told herself.
Derrick grinned to himself. She was making it sound like she was a virgin, but there was no way Ashton Montfort was still a virgin.
He unlocked the door and held it wide open, so she could walk in.
Elise was wide-eyed as she looked around. She had always wondered what his place would look like. It was small. There was a tiny entryway. To her right was a kitchen with cabinets on either wall, and a thin aisle for him to stand.
The kitchen told her that he rarely ate at home. Who could cook in that mini area with practically no counter space?
Derrick walked past her and turned on a light. It lit up the kitchen table. “Can we talk some more, or did you want to go right to bed?”
Elise blushed when he mentioned the word bed. “I’ll have another cup of coffee.”
“Sure.”
Elise watched him get out capsules and pour water into his machine.
“I usually drink coffee at the office, or when I’m out.”
“You don’t have to make me coffee.”
“I got this. Sit down. I’ll bring you a cup.” If she wanted coffee, then it was his job to see that she got it.
Elise stepped forward and took over. A few departments at work had this coffee machine. If she had learned one thing at work, it was how to make coffee.
Derrick stood back and watched her. He had to pinch himself. The beautiful heiress Ashton Montfort was in his kitchen making him coffee at two in the morning. Life didn’t get better than this.
Elise carried the mugs to the table and set them down.
Derrick pulled out a chair for her. He kissed her naked shoulder before she sat down.
Elise felt her toes curl up in Ashton’s shoes. She was basking in his attention.
Derrick looked at her and tried to think of something to say to her. H
e had said everything he could think of at the diner. Now he wanted her to join him in his bed. “I would give the world to be able to take you to bed with me tonight.”
Elise hung her head. She wasn’t old enough for such talk.
She knew Ashton had waited until her junior year of college. They talked openly about such things.
Well, not about the actual act of lovemaking. Instead, they talked about the emotional aspects that could go along with sex. Ashton told Elise that she hadn’t felt ready for sex earlier.
Elise had agreed that twenty was a good age to start.
Still, she’d bet a man like Mr. Davis had never kissed Ashton’s shoulder. He was older, experienced and so gorgeous. Elise’s legs parted slightly. It had been involuntary.
Elise looked to see if he saw that. He was grinning a little. She immediately pressed her knees tightly together.
“I meant what I said before. I never have. Something like that should be well thought out and planned in advance.”
“That you would plan, but when you sign binding contracts, you jot you name down without thinking first.”
Elise leaned back in her chair. She was nothing like her sister. That she had fooled him till now was a miracle.
“I didn’t mean to offend you. I’m surprised you wouldn’t go with your gut feelings about something like this. You usually do.”
“Yes, normally I would, but the truth is I’m not who you think I am.”
“I figured that out long ago. You put on a show all day, but I’ve often seen you sitting very still and pondering something. Those are the moments that make me want to go over to you and ask you if I could help you.”
That had been her, not Ashton. That meant he was in love with her, Elise, and he didn’t even know it. “You watched me?”
“I can’t keep my eyes off you,” he confessed.
Elise blushed and looked down at her full coffee cup.
Derrick got up and stood behind her. He laid his hands on her shoulders and massaged them for a moment. Then he let his hands slip down into her dress. He cupped both of her soft warm breasts.
Elise had never been touched like that before. She had to grab onto the edge of the table, needing the stability to work her way through this new sensation.
Derrick pinched her nipples. He enjoyed the feeling of them perking up and hardening against his fingers. He cupped them, and the hardened nipples pressed against the palms of his hands. Her breasts felt amazing in his hands, the perfect fit.
Elise leaned back, so her head was resting on this hard tummy. She closed her eyes and enjoyed her first time being felt-up by a guy. She was lucky that he was an experienced man. Perhaps it would be a good idea to sleep with him.
After all, he knew what he was doing. An experience man would be better for something like that.
Besides, it would be special for her because she loved him so much.
Now that she was leaning back Derrick could see what his hands were feeling. She felt fantastic, and she looked even better.
Derrick leaned down over her and kissed the side of her face. He saw the smile on her face as she leaned her head to the side, so he could better kiss her. He kissed her cheek and worked his way slowly down to her neck.
Derrick worked his way back up spreading soft kisses as he went. He kissed her earlobe careful not to blow in her ear. “I think we should take this to my bedroom.” He squeezed her breasts and reluctantly let go of them.
When he stepped back to make room for her to get up, it was clear that he wanted her to get up and go with him.
She stood and looked at him. It was time. She couldn’t let this go any further. She had to tell him. This had already gone too far.
Derrick took hold of her face, thinking she was the most beautiful thing he ever set his eyes on. He leaned down and kissed her.
Their lips melted together.
Derrick wrapped his arms around her body and pulled her close, so they were pressing tightly against each other.
Elise could feel his hard penis pushing against her tummy. She tried to imagine what it must feel like to have a man inside of her. She was curious. That she couldn’t deny.
Derrick wanted to get her into his bedroom, but he feared letting go would make her run.
He had no idea that Ashton was actually shy and sensitive. He liked this side of her. It made him long to care for her and protect her. He also wanted to undress her and worship her.
He released her lips.
Elise’s fingertips went to her swollen lips. “I’d like to do that again,” she confessed.
Derrick lifted her up into his arms. He grinned to himself because he felt like a caveman claiming a woman as his own. “We’ll continue in my bedroom.”
Elise wrapped an arm around his neck. She felt like a brand new bride being carried over the threshold. That made this feel right. She belonged in his arms.
Derrick laid her down on his bed. His bedroom had never looked so good before. She was the missing piece in here.
He lay down next to her and took her face in his hands. Once again his lips collided with hers, and he forgot everything else around him.
Elise was supporting her upper body on her elbows. She told herself this was wrong and deceitful, but still she couldn’t stop herself. She wanted nothing more than to play out her favorite daydream with him, except this was better than what she had dreamed up.
Derrick let go of her face and grabbed onto her breasts again. “I'd love to see these two in person.” He grinned at her playfully, hoping she would say yes. It would be typical of Ashton to turn cold now.
Elise laid down and pushed the dress away from her shoulders. “Help me sit up, please.”
Derrick lifted her, so she was sitting. He helped her push the dress down to her waist.
Elise covered up her breasts with her hands. She wasn’t relaxed about her body, and she feared he might be disappointed when he saw her.
Derrick waited for her to remove her hands. When she didn’t, he kissed her again. A moment later he felt her hands on his shoulders. He broke their kiss to glance down at her breasts. They were two perfect perky orbs. His hands grabbed onto them again, kneading them in his hands. “You’re perfect.”
“You think so?” she asked.
“My eyes tell me so.” He squeezed a breast in his hand, making her nipple push forward and stand out. He lowered his mouth to it and suck on it.
Elise’s hands moved to the back of his head. She was hugging his head to her breast. Nothing could feel better than this.
Derrick reached back and laid his hand on her knee. Slowly, his hand moved up her leg, pushing her dress along with it. He cupped his hand over her and moved his hand down along her body until he was massaging her clit with the palm of his hand.
Elise had been wrong, something did feel better than him sucking on her breast. He had taken this to a new level.
Elise whimpered and then cleared her throat. She didn’t want him to know that she was enjoying this as much as she was. She didn’t want to give too much away. Her true feelings should remain in her heart. What meant so much to her – was perhaps only a one-night-stand for him.
“Could you unbutton my shirt for me? I don’t want to let go of you.” Derrick was thrilled that Ashton was finally his girlfriend. This was proof that opposites attract. They had so much passion.
Elise let go of his head and felt around for his buttons. She had to tug his shirt out of his pants to get at the buttons. Elise wasn’t brazen, but he had given her permission to be this way, and she was enjoying it. She had his shirt open, and she tried to push it down his shoulders, but she was still pinned into place.
Reluctantly, Derrick let go of her. He sat back and removed his shirt. He was kneeling in between her parted legs. The colorful skirt of her dress was pushed up around her waist, and he could see that her underwear was wet. She wanted him back. This wasn’t a game. He could see that she was turned on.
His hands went to
his belt. He opened it and pushed his trousers and boxer shorts down.
Elise had never seen a naked man before, and her eyes were locked on his penis. It was bigger than she thought they could be. “I don’t think that’s going to fit.”
Derrick grinned to himself. She was really a virgin. Her face told him so. She looked worried. “I promise it will fit. I’ve a feeling we were made for each other.”
“Do you really think so?” He was making it sound like he would be interested in her longer than just this evening.
“Yes, I do.” He cupped her cheekbone in his hand and marveled at how well it fit there. She had never seemed tiny before, but then he had never been this close to her. In reality she was delicate.
However, he wasn’t having delicate thoughts about her. He wanted to slam his body into hers. If she stayed the night, they could make love a few times.
He leaned down over her and kissed her. It was a long and lingering kiss that made her swoon. She was glad she was laying in bed because she surely would have gone weak in the knees had she been standing.
“Can we take off your dress? I don’t want to ruin it. It probably cost more than I earn in a month.”
“It probably did.”
Derrick paused. She had sounded so snobby again. If she truly did become his girlfriend, he would see to it that she would be nicer in the future – and not just to him but also to everyone else. Ashton sorely needed attention.
However, at the moment, a part of him needed attention too. He would overlook what she had said for now. Now wasn’t a time to talk about marital discipline.
Elise figured that Ashton would notice the wrinkles in her dress. Elise needed to get it hung up. “Could I have a coat hanger for the dress?” She pulled her legs away from him and stood up. Her hands covered her breasts up again. She could feel heat building in her face. This was her chance to leave.
Derrick pushed himself up to standing.
Elise had been a bit mesmerized by his flexing muscles. He had strong arms. Even his back was rippled with muscles. When he stood, the thing that she noticed was his penis. It was standing away from his body. She didn’t know that it would stay that way when he moved away from her.
