“Sex, yes,” Lachlan said, surprising him.

Pushing all thoughts aside, Elias crawled onto the bed and hovered over Lachlan. “Fine, just sex,” he whispered before plundering Lachlan’s mouth.

Lachlan moaned and arched up, his hands sliding over Elias’s shoulders to pull him down. Elias settled between Lachlan’s legs, grinding his hard dick against him, groaning as their heated flash touched.

“I want you to ride me, Eli.”

“No. I want you to fuck me from behind.” He might be having sex with Lachlan, but he didn’t want to see him when they did. He just wanted to feel and not be reminded that Lachlan had relegated him to fuck buddy status.

“Fine. I can pound your ass better.”

  “Good.”

Elias grabbed what they needed and handed them to Lachlan as he sat up and turned around. “We’re just fucking.”

Elias glanced back over his shoulder, seeing the perplexed expression on his face. Good. Lachlan wanted sex; then Elias would give him sex. No touching, no kissing. Just two men fucking and scratching an itch.

He stuck his ass in the air, rested on his forearms, and bit his lip when he felt Lachlan’s lubed finger rubbing his hole. He closed his eyes when the finger pushed in and tried to relax. He’d enjoy the sex and deal with what comes after.

One finger became two, and Lachlan pegged his prostate. “Shit! Just there,” he cried out, unable to stop his body from shuddering as pleasure rushed through him. As annoyed as he was with how Lachlan had treated him, Elias could admit the man knew how to make him feel good.

Lachlan chuckled behind him, and Elias moaned again when Lachlan rubbed that spot. He couldn’t stop the sounds spilling from his mouth, and when Lachlan pushed three fingers in his ass, Elias was more than ready for the man’s dick.

  “I’m ready, Lach. Fuck me.”

Lachlan stared at Elias’s ass and bit his lip. Damn, the man had one fine ass, and Lachlan couldn’t wait to fill it. He ran a hand over one of Elias’s cheeks, feeling the muscle flex beneath his hand, and he squeezed it.

He’d tried to stay away while he sorted his head out, but he couldn’t. Elias had too much of his attention, and he wanted to know if their one night together had been a fluke. The sex had been phenomenal. Every single time.

He had thought about the man constantly, his mind replaying their night together. The whispers and moans. The touches and caresses. He hadn’t expected it to be as intense as it had been, and it had thrown him.

When he’d awoken next to Elias, Lachlan had been sated and relaxed. The sex had been amazing—all three times, and he’d realized one thing as he’d walked away that morning. He could fall so deep, and it scared him. He’d been used and abused and wasn’t sure he could handle it again.

He shelved all that and stroked Elias’s ass and lined up his condom-covered dick, rubbing the spongy head over the stretched hole. Pushing slowly, he hissed as tight heat encased it, pausing when the head popped through the muscle. He needed to get a grip. Otherwise he’d be shooting his load way too soon.

Elias clenched around him, and Lachlan waited until he felt the man relax before continuing. Once he was fully in, he slumped over Elias’s back, eyes closed as he tried to gain some form of control. Elias felt so good.

After a few seconds, he leaned back and stroked his hands down Elias’s back, watching the goose bumps appear in their wake. He leaned forward again and kissed Elias’s shoulder as he slowly pulled out.

Slamming back in, he gripped Elias’s hips, grinding his own against them before pulling out again. He changed angle until he found the one that had Elias cry out and then stayed in that position, fucking the man beneath him, both of them moaning.

It felt too good, almost too much for Lachlan to take. Just like the last night he’d been in this room, Lachlan felt the connection to the man beneath him, and again, the intensity of the emotions being with Elias brought out in him frightened him.

Ignoring them again, he carried on pounding into Elias’s tight ass, loving the sounds the man made. He moved faster, feeling his balls pull up, and leaned over Elias again to take the man’s dick in his hand and stroked him in time with his thrusts. He wanted to feel Elias come on his dick, wanted to know the man had come too and that he was the one who made Elias feel that good.

Elias shuddered, then cried out as Lachlan felt warmth coat his hand, a second before Elias clenched his dick in a vise-like grip. The heat, the tightness was too much, and Lachlan slammed in, holding tight as he came, then pulling out a little to push back in.

He moaned loudly, his head thrown back as his body jerked and shook through his own orgasm. It went on and on until Lachlan felt all his strength desert him, and he slumped over Elias, feeling the sweat on the man’s back against his chest and the side of his face.

He panted harshly, his heart hammering in his chest. He could feel Elias’s back move with every breath he took and knew the man was in no better position than he. He smiled, knowing he’d made Elias come and liking the way that made him feel.

Far too soon for Lachlan’s liking, Elias moved. “Bathroom,” he mumbled.

Lachlan leaned back and carefully pulled out, gripping the condom at the base. As soon as he was free, Elias stood on wobbly legs and staggered over to the bathroom, where he disappeared from sight. Lachlan heard the sounds of water running and carefully peeled the condom off.

Elias came back in with a washcloth and handed it to Lachlan. After cleaning himself, Lachlan went into the bathroom and got rid of the cloth and the condom. When he walked back into the bedroom, Elias had his jeans on.

He staggered to a stop, staring in disbelief at Elias. His mouth fell open as his eyes widened, and he watched Elias finish dressing. “You’re dressed,” he mumbled, feeling stupid at pointing out the obvious. He looked away as his cheeks heated.

“Yeah, I am. We’ve had sex. Isn’t that what you wanted?”

“I just thought…” He trailed off, not knowing how to finish what he was saying. Wasn’t this what he wanted? Sex with no strings attached, yet it felt wrong. He didn’t know how to tell Elias that, but he wasn’t ready for more.

“Let me know when you’re up for another tumble.” As Elias walked out of the bedroom, he said, “You know where the door is.”

Lachlan’s watched Elias leave the room and rubbed his chest at the uncomfortable feeling he had there. He furrowed his brow and stared at the floor. He felt… used. Sucking in a breath, he looked back at the bedroom door. Was this how Elias felt?

“Shit.” Rubbing his forehead, Lachlan left the room and went in search of the man he’d just had sex with. He needed to clear the air and to stop fucking hiding.

Elias was in the kitchen, staring out the window with his back to the door. As Lachlan entered the room, he saw the man stiffen. “What, Lachlan?” he asked without turning.

  “I’ll see you later.”

  “You know where I am.”

Lachlan pursed his lips. He did. He walked out of the house to his truck, rubbing his chest. It was what he’d wanted, sex with no strings attached. So why did it feel wrong when he’d gotten exactly what he wanted?

  CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

“YOU STILL HAVE that just-fucked face, you know.”

Lachlan groaned when he heard Tucker behind him. He looked up at the man from where he was crouched on the ground. “Tuck.”

“Lach.” Tucker crouched next to him. “Eli looks just as fucked. Your doing?”

Lachlan shrugged but couldn’t stop the smile from appearing on his face. The sex was good as long as Lachlan didn’t let the emotions get in the way. They were changing, becoming more, and he was nowhere ready to deal with them, but he was getting incredibly good at ignoring them.

Still, it didn’t mean he couldn’t enjoy amazing sex with Elias.

“We’re spending time together if that’s what you’re asking.”

Tucker snorted. “You know fine well that’s not what I’m asking.
Are you two still fucking?”

“I’m not going to tell you that, Tuck.” He stood and looked down at Tucker, who hadn’t moved. “There is such a thing as privacy. Maybe you should look the word up. It’s in a book called the Dictionary.”

Tucker stood, looked at Lachlan, a frown on his face. “Got no problems if both of you agreed that this is just sex, but don’t do this if this is some weird way of getting back at him for what he did in high school. You’re better than that, Lach, or so your brother tells me.”

“Again, it’s none of your business what Elias and I do or don’t do. I will tell you this. We’re having fun. He enjoys it as much as I do.”

“That’s all there is to it? Just two guys hooking up and having sex?”

“I’m not going to tell you that, Tuck.” Why was he repeating himself?

“So, it is just sex, then…” Tucker shrugged. “I know all about one-night stands and fuck buddies. I just want to make sure this isn’t some twisted way of you getting back at him because of what happened in the past. He apologized, and you accepted it.”

“As much as I’d love to stand here and discuss my private life with you, Tuck, I need to get inside and clean up.”

Lachlan walked away, Tucker following next to him. “Ro said you were going out tonight.”

“Is there anything my brother doesn’t tell you?”

Tucker gave Lachlan a wicked grin and shook his head. “Nope. We have no secrets, and that’s why we work so well together.” As he walked into the house, Tuck shouted, “Ma!”

  “In here, Tuck.”

Tucker speared a look at Lachlan. “Getting ready for your night out? What do you have planned?”

Lachlan grinned and waggled his eyebrows. “Yeah, I should get ready. Who knows what will happen?” Before Tucker could respond, Lachlan walked out of the room and jogged up the stairs to his bedroom.

Groaning, he rubbed his hand over his face and sighed deeply. Maybe one day his brother wouldn’t tell Tucker everything going on in Lachlan’s life. Snorting, he stripped off. Not likely, knowing his brother.

Glancing at his clock, he realized he only had an hour to shower and get ready to go out. Time to push thoughts of his brother and Tucker out of his mind. And more importantly, Elias.

When Lachlan entered the bar, he saw Jeremiah waiting to be served. Jeremiah saw him and waved him over, and Lachlan pushed his way through the crowd in front of him. When he got to Jeremiah, Lachlan asked, “Where is everyone?”

“We managed to get one of the booths before it got too busy in here. The place is busy tonight.”

Lachlan nodded in agreement, his eyes glancing around the busy bar. The Black Horse in Pine Creek was full tonight with barely any room to move. It was lucky the guys had arrived here when they did and managed to grab a booth.

Lachlan slid in next to Abe and grinned. “Busy tonight!”

“Good pickings too,” Abe said, his eyes staring at the dance floor.

Lachlan followed his gaze, and sure enough, there were plenty of women there to attract Abe’s attention, but he also saw a fair few men who looked like they might be out for a good time.

  “Where is Dev?” he asked.

“He’s just gone to the bathroom. He’ll be back in a minute. He has supplies.” Abe waggled his eyebrows, and Lachlan chuckled. Of course Dev had supplies. Whenever they went out, he was one lucky bastard, able to pick up any woman he wanted.

Lachlan wasn’t surprised that Dev got lucky. Tall, broad, with short, black, curly hair and eyes the color of the ocean, he just had to look at a woman, and she was putty his hands. Lachlan had had a crush on Dev when they were younger, but he wouldn’t do anything to ruin the friendship. He could look, but he most certainly wouldn’t touch.

Jeremiah arrived and placed two beers on the table and slid in the booth across from Abe and Lachlan.

“Lots of talent in here tonight,” Jeremiah said, his eyes riveted to the dance floor.

“Abe just said the same thing, and I agree.”

“Hope your gaydar is working. I might not be gay, but there’re a couple of them that certainly are,” Abe said, nodding to two men dancing close together.

Lachlan grinned, his eyes glued to one particular man. “Oh yeah. There is definitely some talent in here tonight.”

Both Jeremiah and Abe laughed, and Dev arrived at the same time, sliding in next to Jeremiah.

“Right, come on you, guys. We’ve not seen each other in a while. Tell me what’s been going on,” Dev asked, rubbing his hands together and smiling in glee. “Because I’ve got something for you.”

  “Tell us,” Abe demanded.

That smile widened if that was possible. “Guess who’s getting divorced?”

Lachlan took a sip of his beer, smile on his face. He’d already heard about this. “Natalie.”

Dev pointed to Lachlan. “You’re right. She is.”

“You’ve always had a thing for Natalie. You think this is your time?”

Dev leaned back in the booth and put a hand on his chest. “I’ll be there to provide a shoulder for her to lean on.”

“And a dick for her to sit on,” Jeremiah added.

They all started laughing, and Dev nodded. “I’m the kind, caring type.”

“As long as you’re getting a dick wet,” Jeremiah said. “How long do you think it will take?”

Lachlan shook his head. It was funny how they were all the same age, yet each had a different outlook when it came to sex. Out of the four of them, only Lachlan had been in a relationship. The other three were happy to see a girl or a guy for a few weeks and then move on. Oh well, who cared? As long as everybody knew what was going on, it was fine.

Maybe in Jeremiah’s case, he was still holding out hope that Abe would one day wake up gay and profess his undying love for him. Lachlan watched Abe watching Jeremiah. How the man had no idea how Jeremiah felt about him was astonishing. It was there in every look, every small touch Jeremiah gave Abe.

Shaking his head, Lachlan eyed the men on the dance floor and licked his lips. Time for some fun.

Knocking on his front door woke Elias up, and he glanced at his clock, growling when he saw it was two in the morning. Whoever the fuck was knocking on his front door better have some damn emergency that needed his immediate attention, or they would be having words… with Elias’s fists.

Pulling on some sweatpants, Elias staggered out his bedroom and down the stairs, walking toward the front door. Pulling it open, he shouted, “What the… Lachlan?”

Lachlan grinned, swaying on his feet. Elias reached out, grabbing him by the arms when it looked like Lachlan was about to fall over. “Wanted to see you. Want to fuck.”

Elias stepped back from the smell coming from Lachlan. “Have you been drinking?”

“Yep!” Lachlan grinned happily and reached forward, grabbing Elias around the back of his neck. “Been thinking about you all night. Wanna suck your dick.”

Elias’s eyebrows shot up as Lachlan dropped to the floor in front of him and pulled his sweatpants down. Pushing him gently away, Elias stepped back and grabbed Lachlan by the arms and pulled him up. “I think you need to come in and sober up.”

“But I want to suck your dick,” Lachlan pouted.

Elias pulled Lachlan into the house, shut and locked the front door, and held him steady when Lachlan swayed to one side. “Come on, let’s get you upstairs and out of those clothes, and you can sleep the alcohol off.”

“Naked,” Lachlan said, his eyebrows waggling. Giggling, he said, “In bed, us naked, doing sexy things.”

Elias held Lachlan by the arm, walking carefully through the living room. When they reached the stairs, Lachlan slumped forward, giggling again. “Come on, Lach. Let’s get you upstairs.”

Giggling, Lachlan fell into Elias, who wrapped an arm around his waist and carefully walked up the stairs. It felt that every step they took up, they staggered down two. Lachlan swayed everywhere, giggling whenever he miss
ed a step or bumped into Elias.

When they finally reached Elias’s bedroom, he was panting slightly. Lachlan was one heavy bastard, and Elias had practically carried him up the stairs and into his bedroom. Lachlan fell on the bed, face first, and turned his head to the side, laughing softly. Shaking his head, Elias crouched by Lachlan’s feet and pulled his boots off and then his socks. Standing, he said, “Come on. Let’s get you undressed.”

When he heard nothing, he leaned over Lachlan and sighed when he saw that Lachlan had fallen asleep. “Why am I not surprised,” he muttered. Shaking his head, he managed to push Lachlan over onto his back and proceeded to undress him.

Once he had Lachlan undressed, he pulled and pushed until he managed to get him under the covers and then went into the bathroom to get a glass of water. He knew from experience that Lachlan would need a drink when he got up. Otherwise he’d be sporting one hell of a hangover.

He stood watching Lachlan sleep, his mouth open and soft snores coming out. He knew they’d agreed to be friends with benefits, but it felt right, having Lachlan in his bed.

Walking over, he got into bed next to him. Almost immediately, Lachlan rolled over and curled up next to him. Elias switched the light off and settled next to him, sighing deeply. Yeah, this felt right. He just needed to give Lachlan the time so that he could realize it too. And the good part about the night?

Lachlan had come to him, even after going out with his friends. He might not know it, but deep down, Lachlan knew where to go when he needed someone.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

LACHLAN AWOKE AND groaned when he felt his head. His mouth wasn’t any better, tasting foul and dry. He opened his eyes and saw a glass of water next to the bed and eagerly reached for it, swallowing half of it down immediately before he noticed the tablets next to it. He hastily grabbed them, threw them into his mouth, and swallowed them with another mouthful of water before sighing and putting the glass down.
