I grabbed Dave by his hair and spread my legs far apart, taking him into me and moaning hard for it.
“Is that what you want?” I said, blind with shame, my heart pounding with ecstasy. “Is that what you were thinking about, cowboy?”
“Mmm-hmm,” he mumbled inside of me, his strong hands taking mine and crunching them down to the bed. He wasn’t going to let me move!
As my pelvis began dancing to his rhythm, he became even more crazed. “Who could that be? Is that Helen?”

He got out of bed, shirtless and taking time showing me his fine and terrific ass. He turned around and grabbed his wallet and keys.
I answered the phone, still smiling at my baby.
“Hello?”
“Hey, it’s me.”
“What … Dave?” I looked at him in confusion.
“This is a recording, dummy,” his voice laughed. “I ain’t an evil twin, I swear!”
“What … what …” I laughed nervously. No wonder he asked for my number. This was some special kind of prank, some …
“I thought about what you said, angel. And I feel the same way. I love you, Alicia. I’ve been fighting the urge to say that for a while now. Because I don’t want you to think I don’t take love seriously. I do. And I have never felt for anybody what I feel for you.”
I lost my smile and listened in shock.
“I love you. Look at me. Look at me, babe.”
He turned around and took all the words out of my mouth. He held an open ring box in his hand and presented me with an engagement ring. Gold engagement ring with a big diamond princess cut stone.
“I love you. Will you do the honor of marrying me?” the voice said.
“I love you,” he repeated in person. “Will you do the honor of marrying me?”
I opened my mouth in shock and dropped the phone. My heart sank into me, and I burst out in tears.
“Of course!” I said, welcoming him back to bed, into my arms, forever, forever, for all time. “Of course, I love you!”
We embraced, and I gagged and sniffed all over his shoulder. “But … but are you sure? Are you sure you … you …”
“Hey,” he said, taking my face in his mighty hands. “This is what I want. You make me feel alive. It breaks my heart to say goodbye. I want you with me all the time. I want you to be the one and only Miss Alicia Jackson. Do you understand? I love you, baby. I love you. And I want to give you the world.”
“I love you too!” I said, wiping my eyes dry and putting on the ring. “I love you so much … no matter what, I love you!”
“We’re going to get married,” he said, hugging and jostling me and planting a kiss on my trembling mouth. “And hot damn are we going to eat a steak dinner tonight. And it’s going to be the most delicious thing you’ve ever tasted. Because nothing’s sweeter and rarer than true love, my darling.”
“Nothing!” I said, smooching his lips over and over again. But he was wrong. The most delicious thing I ever tasted my whole life, was his kiss at that moment. The moment I first fell in love.
