Chapter Twenty-Four
Caelin
Sex has never been a nerve-wracking situation for me, but right now my heart feels as if it could beat out of its chest. Justice is about to give herself to me in a way that can only be given once, and above anything else, I know how special that is.
Grinding my cock into her core is torture. But I’ve already asked her if she’s sure, and she’s assured me she is.
Leveraging up, I stand, taking everything off, except for my boxer-briefs.
She sits up, her eyes full of passion and unresolved question. “Can I?” She motions to the waistband of them.
“Please,” my answer is guttural.
Her fingers shake as they snake around the material holding them up. Even though we’ve messed around, this feels more real than anything we’ve done up until this point. She seems to say fuck it, pushing them down my thighs, and before I know it, she’s got my cock in between her fingers. Using her palm, she rubs up and then back down the hard length.
I allow myself the pleasure for a few seconds, but that’s all I got. “Nope, can’t handle that.”
Leaning down, I take her mouth with mine.
“Caelin, I don’t wanna wait, I’ve waited my whole life for you.”
While that’s slightly dramatic, I know what she’s saying. “Are you on birth control?”
Her face heats. This may be embarrassing, but this is a conversation we have to have. She shakes her head. “No.”
“Then I’ll be right back.”
Turning away from her, I go over to my dresser, pulling out a couple of condoms and throwing them on the bed. She giggles, taking her pants off, leaving her only in a pair of lace underwear and matching bra, pushed down from my attention earlier. “You seem very sure of yourself.”
“If there’s one thing I am sure of, it’s that we’ll do this really well.”
Hooking my fingers into the fabric of her panties, I pull them off her thighs, and then reach up to get rid of the bar. Once we’re naked, I fold her up into my arms and then concentrate on destroying her for any other man except for me.
My mouth goes to her neck, the line of her jaw, my teeth nip on her ear, turning her onto her stomach as I roam and ravage her back. Spreading her legs, my fingers enter her from behind, giving her a different angle. She props up on her knees, widening her stance and giving me an eyeful.
“Fuck, Justice.”
She grips the comforter, rocking against my fingers, digging her forehead into the pillow. Her pants are loud in the room, my groans echoing against hers. “Caelin, you’re kill…killing me.” She shoves the pillow out from under her face and stretches her body along the mattress.
Taking her arms, I turn her back over, layering myself over her body. “You’re fuckin’ killing me.” I come up on my knees and grab my cock, using the head to tease her clit. “Goddamn you’re wet.”
“I’m dying,” she corrects. “I need something.” She runs her hands down her body, stopping at her tits to twist her nipples. “This” - she keeps at them- “isn’t enough.”
Bending down, I capture one in my mouth, before letting it go. “None of this will ever be enough,” I correct her.
Reaching up, I grab one of the condoms I threw down earlier. My hands haven’t shook putting one of these on since I was a teenager, but here I am, acting like this is my first time, too.
When I’m covered, I go back over her body, pressing my forehead into the place beside her face, whispering so she can hear me. “Let me know if it’s too much.” I slowly reach down, holding my length while I feed myself into her. She’s tighter than I’m used to, but it isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
“I’ve been using a dildo,” she whispers. “So that it won’t hurt as much.”
Fuck. Me. “You prepared yourself?”
“For you? Yes. I didn’t want this to suck. You can go further, it doesn’t hurt.” She hooks her legs around my waist.
That’s all I need to hear. I abandon the slow and steady pace I was willing to set. Instead, I push in, finding that there isn’t a resistance. Turning my face to the side, I suck on her neck as I push in and pull out.
“Yes.” She tilts her head back giving me better access.
“Tilt your hips into mine.”
She does as I ask her to, meeting my thrusts now, helping us to move against one another. Stretching our arms out above our heads, I entwine our fingers together, making sure we touch from head to toe. As we slide against each other I know she’s ruined me for any other woman. This is the last person I’ll ever experience this kind of pleasure with.
“Caelin, it feels good. It’s starting to build,” she pants.
“Yes.” I lean down, taking her nipple in my mouth, sucking gently on it, then harder as I twist my hips, hitting her clit on the pull out of each thrust. “How’s that?”
“Keep going.” She grabs hold of my shoulders, digging her nails into the flesh there.
Letting go of her hand, I take the free one and move it down in between our bodies, flicking at her clit, rubbing as she moves faster against me. Her breathing increases, her hips pump harder and I know she’s close, so fucking close.
“C’mon, babe,” I encourage her. “Come all over me, let me feel the wetness. Tighten and suck me deep into your pussy.”
It’s those words that send us both over the edge. She screams and I groan, burying my head in neck, worried I might be ready to have a heart attack.
At the same time, I’ve never felt more at home than I do right now.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Justice
“Should we buckle her in?” I worry my lip between my teeth.
Caelin grins indulgently at me. I can’t help but notice the mark he has on his neck. Knowing I put it there last night? It’s going to give me pride for a very long time. “Do you think she needs to be buckled in?”
“I grabbed a seat belt at PetSmart.” I hold it up in my right hand. “Safety first and all.”
He chuckles, reaching out. “Give it here, I’ll buckle her in. Not because you’re scared of my driving.” He raises his eyebrows.
“You’re used to either being on your bike or in your truck. This is my car,” I tease. “It might be too small for your fragile male ego.”
“Oh, I see how it is. You bring me to my knees once, and you think you own a piece of me.”
I’m sassy as I walk over to where he stands. Grabbing his shirt in my fingers, I drag myself up to level with his mouth and plant a kiss on his lips. “Just like you own a piece of me.”
His hands go to my ass, pressing me tightly against him. “Damn straight.”
Beside him, Joanie lifts her paw to my thigh, trying to get my attention. “I see you,” I coo down to her. “I hope you don’t hate us after this, but we’ve got to get you checked out.”
“They’ll probably have us bring the babies in soon,” he adds as he finishes getting the harness installed.
“Then that’s what we’ll do. We have to make sure they’re well. If something happened to them.” I can already feel my heart breaking in half. It hasn’t taken long, but they all hold a place in my chest.
“I know, but they’re okay in the bathroom.” He wraps his arm around my neck, pulling me close, and dropping a kiss on my forehead. “They don’t even really make noise yet, but I would notice if they weren’t around.”
Truer words have never been spoken. I can feel when one of them isn’t where they should be. Like this morning when I woke up, a boy had managed to scoot his way off of their rug and onto the floor. I’m attuned to them as much as I am to Caelin. Looking down at her, I click my tongue, patting the seat. “C’mon! You can do it.”
She seems hesitant about getting in the car, but eventually she does when I put a treat down. We carefully strap her in, and I hold my keys out for Caelin. I’ve never let anyone else drive my car. Not even Harley, so me doing this? It’s a major sign of trust.
He opens my
door for me, and waits for me to slip into the passenger side before he walks around to the drivers, and seeks to adjust the seat to his liking. “I didn’t realize you were so much shorter than me, until I sat here,” he laughs, his knees up to his elbows.
“It’s on the side.” I shake my head at his ridiculousness. “Just move the lever either forward or backward, it’s automatic.”
“Ohhh she fancy,” he jokes finally adjusting his seat so he’s not crunched like a pretzel.
“It is! You have no idea how hard I had to work to get this car.”
“I remember the first one you had.” He checks both ways before pulling out of the apartment complex. “When your dad gave you and Harley your gifts. You had to prove to him you could fix it up.”
“That was the absolute worst experience of my life. Harley loved learning how to fix up her bike, and honestly I spent five months hating my dad.”
“Jesus, did it take you five months?”
“Yes!” I shriek. “Five fucking months. I watched so many YouTube videos and cried so much…”
“Why did you cry? There’s no crying in mechanics.”
“Because I was frustrated. I would follow the directions to the letter, and then it wouldn’t work. I would go ask my dad, and he would see it right off the bat and instead of telling me what was wrong, he’d make me figure it out on my own.”
“Which is a good skill to have.”
“It is. But at the time, I felt like he was picking on me. Those things came so easily to Harley, and he knew that, but yet he wanted me to do the same as her. I resented it.”
“I can understand that.” He seems to be measuring his response.
“Do you really? Because it kind of seems like you’re silently agreeing with my dad.”
“Here’s the deal, Jus. Parents are supposed to put us into situations that are uncomfortable and see if we sink or swim. There are so many kids who don’t have that luxury, don’t have parents who care enough to do that for them. Take Bishop for example. If it hadn’t been for your family, he wouldn’t be where he is right now.”
“While that’s true, and I do get what you’re saying, at the time I was pissed.”
“But you can fix a car now, right?” He looks over at me, his eyes dancing with mischief.
“I can. Do I want to ever again? Fuck no, but if I get into a situation where I have to take care of myself, I can do it, and I guess that was the lesson to be learned all along. Right?”
He holds his hands up in what appears to be surrender. “I mean, I guess so.”
“Stop.” I smack him on the side. “You and I both know that’s what you were getting at. No need to beat around the bush.”
We’re quiet for a few minutes as he drives toward the vet I got the appointment at. “Who should I be looking for?" he asks.
I check my phone, looking for the confirmation. When I find it, I click on it, and see the name of the vet up to our left. “It’s right here.” I point to the turn in.
He quickly turns on his signal and pulls into the parking lot. We come to a stop and he shuts the car off, looking in the backseat to where Joanie sits. “You ready, girl?” he questions her. “We’ll be right here with you, but this might be scary.”
The way he’s trying to comfort her is hell to my ovaries and heart. The side I’ve seen from him with this dog shows me what kind of a dad he might be, if we ever get to that point. I hope we do; I can see my entire life before me, and he’s in it from this moment through the rest.
We get out, and he goes to the back to let her out. She stays close to his thigh, refusing to get farther than she’s comfortable with as we enter the office. Luckily there are no other pets or people there. Neither one of us really know how she’ll react if confronted by others. I walk up to the reception desk and let them know my name. Caelin takes Joanie over to a chair and has a seat with her.
“Hi, I’m Justice Walker, I called to get an appointment for my dog.”
The receptionist looks through her book. She sees my name and confirms we’re in the right place. “I see she was a rescue as far as what you know about her history. When you get in the room, they’ll be asking a bunch of questions, so you’re prepared. Dr. Watts will be with you, shortly.”
“Thank you.”
I go over to where Caelin sits, lean down, and pet Joanie on the head. “You’re in good hands here, girl. I have a feeling.”
“Hopefully you’re right,” Caelin whispers. “She seems a bit unsure.”
“It’s probably all the scents of other animals.” I try to think of all the things I’ve seen on TV shows and read in books.
“Probably, but I hope we don’t scar her for life.”
“No one likes the doctor,” I whisper back at him. “We can hardly blame her for being nervous.”
Her name is called and we’re escorted back into the exam room. She’s weighed and then the doctor comes in. “Hello, I’m Dr. Watts.”
Caelin reaches out with his hand and I wave at him.
“What do we have here?”
We go into the story of how Caelin found her and her puppies, and how we’ve been taking care of them.
“Do we know how old the puppies are?” he asks, making a note on his chart.
“Not really,” we answer. “They’re young, but that’s all we know,” I add my two cents in.
“Okay, hop up here, Joanie. Let’s get a look at you.”
I grab hold of Caelin’s knee as the examination starts. I’m not sure why I’m so nervous about this. I’m not the one being poked and prodded, but it’s almost as if I’m feeling everything she is. He grabs my hand, trying to comfort me. The way he rubs the inside of my palm is calming, and I manage to regulate my breathing.
“She appears to be in good health,” Dr. Watts says as he helps Joanie down. “With your permission, we’re going to go ahead and give her the shots she needs, and I have a few decisions you need to make as her owners. Do you want her microchipped and spayed?”
“Definitely on both,” I answer. “She was very young to have puppies, and I don’t think it was good for her.”
“I agree,” Caelin and the doctor say at the same time.
They make noises, and the doctor continues. “I’m honestly not sure that having these puppies so young hasn’t possibly done some damage. I won’t know until I get in there.”
“What about her puppies?” I ask. “Do we need to bring them in?”
“If you don’t mind, I’d like to see them tomorrow. Just to make sure everything is alright, but as far as Joanie goes. She’s doing wonderful. You’re doing a great job taking care of her.”
A proud parent is the perfect description of how I’m feeling. Caelin and I look at each other, pride shining in both our eyes.
“Okay, so let me make some appointments for you, and I’ll be back with some paperwork for you to sign.”
When he leaves the office, I lean in, petting Joanie on the head. “You did so good. We’re proud of you.”
Caelin grabs my hand. “So this,” - he indicates Joanie and the room we’re in- “is a commitment, Justice. We can’t be all in with her and this right now, but then decide later we don’t want to be. This right here, it’s long-term.”
I get what he’s saying, and it causes a tickling in my stomach. The type I get when something really good is about to happen. “I’m okay with long-term if you’re okay with it. I don’t plan on going anywhere, Caelin.”
He sneaks in, stealing a kiss. “I don’t plan on going anywhere either. I just wanted to make sure you were feeling the same way I am.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever been so sure about anything in my life. This,”- I point between us and to Joanie - “is everything I’ve wanted, and nothing I thought I deserved.”
“You deserve the world. So much more than I can give you, but I promise I’ll spend my entire life trying to figure out how to give you it all.”
“As long as I’m with you.” I put my palm al
ong his cheek. “That’s all I need. I don’t want the world, Caelin. All I want is you, and what we can have together. The world is as big as we make it, and as far as I’m concerned it’s never going to be bigger than the both of us.”
He hugs me tightly, only pulling away when the doctor comes back in with the appointments and paperwork to get the ball rolling on the babies and Joanie’s appointments. In this moment, I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy, and perhaps foolishly I believe this is the pinnacle. Once we’ve been this happy, nothing else can touch us again. Right?
But oh, how I was so fucking wrong.
Chapter Twenty-Six
Caelin
Lord knows I shouldn’t, but I’m tapping into my apartment complexes security cameras to watch Justice as she takes Joanie for her walk.
Instead of being there with them, I’m sitting in my office at the clubhouse, doing upgrades on all of the security the club has. Typically this would be done through the week, but the garage is backed up, and Bishop had to take a few days off. Since he’s faster than most of us at all things mechanic-related it’s thrown us slightly off. Which means I’ll probably be up most of the night – well into the morning – getting this update done.
Browsing the different cameras, I finally get a glimpse of the blonde with the turquoise streak in her hair.
“Dear Jesus,” I laugh, zooming in further. “What the fuck does she have on our dog?” It looks like a shirt, and I firmly believe I should’ve been consulted before this decision was made. I wish I could hear them, but judging from the grin on Justice’s face, she’s having a good time.
My gaze follows her as she walks from the main complex, toward the dog park area. She’s got what looks to be water and bags in one hand. In the other, she holds the leash, letting Joanie pull her along. She’s talking to her, almost like the best of friends. I can just imagine what she’s telling her about. Probably her day, or maybe how hot I am.
