FAITH
Do you belong to any religious organization, sect, or cult? Please list your denomination below.
DENOMINATION:
I was raised Lutheran.
* * *
How often do you go to church, synagogue, or other? Would you be willing to date someone outside your faith?
I go on holidays mostly, but somedays- the rough ones- I’ll go sit outside of our church in the gardens and hope to find the peace I’m seeking. I believe one doesn’t have to step foot into a church to have faith or spirituality.
I would absolutely date outside my faith.

MARRIAGE/FAMILY
Are you seeking a life partner?
Yes. But not just any partner. THE ONE. What are the odds?
* * *
Do you want a family? How many children?
I would love children. Not right away, of course. I’m selfish enough to want him to myself for a while. I’m not set on the number of kids.
* * *
How would you prefer to spend your holidays?
(Mountains? Beach? Hotel/amusement parks? Camping/hiking/backpacking? With family?)
I’m a girl who enjoys the outdoors. A good walk with nothing but my thoughts can solve some problems. Maybe not THE PROBLEM but it can steady my nerves which is a great place to start. I would do any of the things listed above.
* * *
How do you feel about relatives visiting?
Are they my relatives? I suppose it would depend. Any of my sisters would be welcome. As would my father. I consider Bill and Lottie family so they can drop in on any time. Honest answer would be that my mother makes me hesitate to answer this without caution and the same would apply to his family should he have a relative like my mother.
* * *
How would you manage family order? (i.e. Who would be in charge of what? Money/finances? Kids? House?)
I would hope we would tackle these as a unit.
* * *
WHO ARE YOU?
What is a motto or creed that you live by?
This is the question that has kept me up nights lately. What creed do I live by. I once believed, and still do mostly, that is one moved forward with kindness and an open heart then all would be okay. What I question is how much interference of such strong emotions such as pride and prejudice skew one’s vision? Or does it give one clarity?
Maybe my motto should be “nothing is as it seems” but that sounds too negative for me.
* * *
*E.B.NOTES: Perhaps I should borrow a page from Ghandi and make this my new motto: Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up.
* * *
What is your ideal rest day?
Hiking. Exploring. Laughing.
* * *
What is your most embarrassing moment?
Does anyone have one moment? I would think that letting William Darcy get under my skin such as he has is quite embarrassing. He’s just a man looking to put a girl out of business (even though he says he wants to help- if that were the case he could have stayed away. That would have helped tremendously).
*E.B.NOTE: I have just read Darcy’s letter and had come to the questionnaires as a way to distract myself from what has happened. I would now say that my behavior toward him is my most embarrassing moment. Horrifyingly embarrassing.
Do you believe that you are a fun person?
Yes.
* * *
Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten? Twenty?
I hope in 5 years I am still running Meryton Matchmakers with Jane and my sisters.
In 10 years, I would have liked to have found THE ONE and maybe have a child or two.
In 20 years, I hope to still be madly in love.
* * *
When do you want to retire?
I’d like to retire in my fifties so that I can travel.
* * *
What does retirement look like to you?
Traveling and relaxing.
* * *
What kind of lifestyle do you want after retirement? (Active, laid-back, etc.)
I would like an adventurous one.
* * *
Do you have a retirement account?
Yes, of course. I might have to close it out to keep my business solvent.
* * *
How do you invest? (conservative, aggressive, etc.)
Conservatively. I also believe in real estate.
* * *
Do you smoke?
No.
* * *
What are your strengths?
I hope that I am open minded and diplomatic. I would also like to think I am a good sister, friend, and person in general.
* * *
What are your weaknesses?
Arrogance makes me angry and can blind me to reason.
* * *
WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Do you consider intimacy more important than love?
I think they go hand in hand but love always trumps intimacy. What if the one you loved was sick? Would not having intimacy make you love them less? I should hope not.
* * *
How often do you expect intimacy?
I think this question is more for the men. LOL
* * *
List four things you require in an intimate relationship.
1. Respect
2. Honesty
3. Kindness
4. Genuine interest in the other person
* * *
If you don’t connect with someone right away, do you give them more chances to grow on you or do you move to the next person?
I have been asking myself this question a lot lately. For now my answer is- the reason for a second chance would have to be compelling.
* * *
Why are you seeking assistance from a matchmaker?
Because William Darcy challenged me to. In all fairness so did Jane. And Lady Catherine.
* * *
*E.B. NOTES: I am such a silly fool. The truth to the above answer is that I want to know love in the best sort of way- the lasting, true way- and now I feel so far removed from that possibility that I am heavy with sorrow

MARRIAGE/FAMILY
Are you seeking a life partner?
I had never envisioned myself with a wife, believing that I have so much already that it would be greedy to ask for more. But then one meets a person that makes them starting believing that anything is possible.
The answer to the question is yes- if it were the right woman.
* * *
Do you want a family? How many children?
With her, yes. When I think
of it I smile. I would take how ever many she felt I was worthy of fathering.
* * *
How would you prefer to spend your holidays?
(Mountains? Beach? Hotel/amusement parks? Camping/hiking/backpacking? With family?)
I enjoy the outdoors. It does wonders on my attitude. I think amusement park is my least favorite pick but I’d do it. All of the above would be enjoyable. I love my sister so spending time with her is a pleasure.
* * *
How do you feel about relatives visiting?
Depends on the relatives.
* * *
How would you manage family order? (i.e. Who would be in charge of what? Money/finances? Kids? House?)
I would like this to be a joint effort.
.

Being outdoors.
* * *
What is your most embarrassing moment?
Most embarrassing? Can’t say that I’ve had one.
* * *

* * *
Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten? Twenty?
I would like to turn over a large portion of managing Pemberley International to my cousin, Henry. Or anyone. Tomorrow. I see myself starting a new, more enjoyable life as soon as possible.
I used to see my self traveling. Now, I see myself traveling with a wife. With children.
* * *

Tomorrow?
* * *
What does retirement look like to you?
It looks amazing. Relaxing. Invigorating.
* * *

All the above. A full one.

Conservative and in real estate.
* * *
Do you smoke?
No
* * *
What are your strengths?
I am loyal and able to put aside my wishes to get things done. I am good at sacrifice.
* * *
What are your weaknesses?
I could laugh more often.
* * *
WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Do you consider intimacy more important than love?
I believe love gives way to intimacy. One cannot be had without the other, but love is what would give me warmth and strength in hard times.
* * *
How often do you expect intimacy?
I am a man so the honest answer is whenever I can.
* * *

2. Honesty
3. Kindness

* * *
If you don’t connect with someone right away, do you give them more chances to grow on you or do you move to the next person?
Yes. First impressions can be deceiving.
* * *
Why are you using a matchmaker?
Because I am in love with her and don’t know how to tell her. It would seem every time I open my mouth I insert my foot.
*E.B. NOTES: Have I been a fool? This system Anne set up says we are a perfect match. How can that be. Yet, yesterday,when he kissed me….
