For research on the novel, I have to thank my guides at Bluff Dweller’s Cave in Missouri—Jay and Mary Jane. And a big shout out to Britany for doing such a fantastic job on the photo tour at Alabaster Caverns. All my guides were great about answering questions and going out of their way to help. There were so many other people I spoke to during my research trip for this novel and didn’t get their names, but they deserve recognition as well for their assistance. Of course, any mistakes I made in the story are my own, or may have been on purpose for the sake of the fantasy world building elements.
