Violation Page 16

I had already run two miles when I saw Dee’s image flash across the TV screen in front of the treadmill. The sound of the TV was muted. The stereo was on full blast. I stopped the music with the touch of a button and unmuted the TV.

The female newscaster sat behind her desk reading. “Chicago Cavalier’s player Deshawn Jones was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol early this morning after a car crash on Lower Wacker Drive. It was reported that the superstar player of our championship team was combative and resisting arrest. His blood alcohol level was allegedly double the legal limit. This is Deshawn Jones’ second DUI in twelve months and this may mean he will face a suspension from the National Basketball Association at a crucial time in the season. The Chicago Cavalier’s general manager was unavailable for comment.”

I wiped the sweat from my face with my hand. He was arrested and that meant he was okay. Or at least, I hoped as much. This was just the thing that I feared. I slowed the treadmill and hopped off while it was still moving. I needed to catch my breath so I could think.

I walked to the weight bench and grabbed my cell. My phone rang just as I picked it up to make a call.

“Turn on the news.” Her voice was calm although I knew she was far from it.

“I just saw it. I was going to call you.”

“I need you. Please come here now.”

“Of course. I will be right there.”

“I have to go get him out of jail. Please go with me.”

“Yes, I will get him out. Don’t worry.”

“My son is so upset. I’m upset.”

“They say he’s not hurt. Just a few bruises.”

“Why is he doing this shit to his family?”

“Just calm down. Media will be there. Get yourself together and I will handle it.”

“Okay. Please come quick. I’m shaking. I can’t drive. I’m so upset.”

“I will. I love you, just calm down.”

I hung up and went straight to the shower. I took a quick one and got dressed in jeans and long sleeved shirt. As I dressed my phone was constantly blowing up. I got calls from Lance and two other teammates. The owner, coach and general manager called. I told all the important people that I was going to go take his wife to post bail. They told me to make sure she didn’t make any statements to the press, negative or otherwise. They also told me to put a muzzle on Dee. I called our publicist and he sent Dee’s personal lawyer straight to the police station to inquire about the bail amount and see his client. I wasn’t sure if Dee’s lawyer would contact his sports agent. They were both attorneys but they just handled different aspects of his career.

Clearly everyone was aware that Deshawn was in the accident with one of his side-chicks. The radio reported it as an unidentified woman, which is code for not your wife. Mr. Kozlowski called me again. I assured him I would handle the media and get Deshawn back home before this got out of hand.

I grabbed my car keys and headed out the front door. I took my Range Rover and took a few calls inside the truck. I drove to his Barrington Hills home to pick up Serena. Why was Deshawn so dissatisfied with the woman I loved? I wanted him to mess up so bad that she would divorce him. I could hear in her voice how hurt she was. I picked Serena up at her front door. She hid whatever emotion she was experiencing from me. She looked elegant and attractive, not like a woman going to bail her cheating husband out of jail.

I had never heard so much profanity come from her mouth. She called him so many things that there was no way I could repeat or remember them all. She was filled with rage and I quietly listened while she vented, cursed and swore to leave him.

  “Noah.”

  “Yeah.”

  “I need you.”

I quickly took my eyes off the road to look at her. “You have me.”

“No now.” She placed her hand in my lap.

Okay, this was weird. She brushed my crotch and I gripped the steering wheel like a student driver.

I was a few blocks from the highway and stopped at a light. “Serena.”

  “Pull over somewhere.”

The look she gave me let me know this was not a request but a command. The windows were tinted but it was a weekday afternoon. Where the hell was I going to pull over?

She had already made my dick rock hard. “Where?” I couldn’t think of locations with a throbbing hard dick.

“That parking garage at the mall on Main Street.” Her eyes were on my pants zipper. She had un-buttoned and unzipped me. I didn’t bother to put on underwear. I was in a hurry when I left the house. Now I realize that was a great decision. I made a right turn and was headed toward the mall. She had freed my cock and was stroking me tenderly.

As soon as I entered the dark parking garage she released me. She took off her seatbelt and lifted her bottom to remove her panties. She placed them on the dashboard. I tried to concentrate on finding a secluded parking spot. I pulled into a spot that faced the cement wall. We were isolated from the shoppers but inconspicuous.

I put the truck in park and removed my seatbelt. I had car sex before but this was just exciting and wrong and crazy and dangerous and highly inappropriate.

“Push your seat all the way back.” She instructed and I did it. I was damn near in the back seat. I lifted my ass to pull my jeans down to my sneakers.

Serena quickly straddled me. She grabbed my dick and guided it to her entrance. She was slick. The head of my dick glided on her juice. This shit right here is epic. She slowly lowered herself down on my cock. I almost cried like a bitch baby it felt so good.

Touching that first championship trophy might have to take a backseat to this feeling right here. I couldn’t close my mouth. I leaned forward to kiss her lips as my dick swelled inside her and filled her so wholly.

Serena slapped me hard across my cheek before I could get a taste of her lips. “My makeup,” She whispered with a grimace that stopped me cold and scared me a bit. Shit! She’s sexy like this. She did a slow and purposeful grind on my cock that I could barely handle. She could ride a dick better than anyone trained to do it. She knew how to grip a cock and rub one out with her hips.

“Jesus.” I sighed and realized I said that out loud. My heart was skipping beats with every roll of her hips. I watched her as she watched me. I was stuck to the leather.

“You like this pussy, don’t you?”

“Oh God, I love it.” I bit my bottom lip to hold onto my cum. I wanted to explode. I wanted to choke her for making me feel this much pleasure.

My hands didn’t know what to do. I tried to grab her face and she slapped my hand away and then slapped me hard across my cheek.

  What the fuck!

“No-Hart. Don’t fucking touch me!” She balled her fist and placed it under my chin. She tilted my head into the headrest.

My eyes widened as the pain of the slap took hold. She ground her tight wet snatch deep down on my shaft. She was moaning and moving at the same time. I knew I would lose my load.

“I’m going to come,” I muttered. “Fuck! Fuck! Shit!” I erupted right inside the baddest cum-thief I had ever encountered. She gripped my dick with her fierce orgasm. She leaned back into the steering wheel as her contractions pulsed on my exhausted dick. It doesn’t get any better than this. Correction, it always gets better with this wonderful woman.

Serena slowly climbed off me. She planted her ass in the passenger seat. She was breathing heavily as was I. She opened the middle console in my truck and fished out some wet napkins. She wiped in between her legs and then she wiped my sensitive dick off. She stuffed the used wipes in my cup holder. She fixed her clothing and pulled the mirror down to check her face.

“I need a minute to calm down.”

“Take your time. He’s not going anywhere.” She smiled at me and winked. She drew a lone chuckle from me.

“You are evil and I am too.”

She blew a kiss at me and that calmed my heart. I reached down and grabbed my pants from my ankles. I fixed mys
elf. I adjusted my seat and started the truck.

I drove to the police station. My publicist texted the address of the station where Dee was being held. It was important that Dee’s teammates showed compassion and solidarity. More than anything Serena had to stand by him. The Cavs were a family. This franchise had a wholesome family image to project and protect. Ultimately we were in the business of selling basketball game tickets.

It was a mad house when I pulled up to the police station. There were fans, reporters and random people outside the police station. They were all just waiting to get a glimpse of Superstar Jones, Chicago’s favorite athlete.

Everything went expeditiously because Deshawn Jones was a local star. I felt bad for the officers that arrested him. From all accounts they didn’t have much of a choice. Athlete’s get away with murder. OJ Simpson comes to mind. Now that is an exaggeration. Now we have so many clauses in our contracts we can barely jaywalk.

Dee’s bail was nothing of any consequence. He was rushed through the system and the resisting arrest charge was thrown out. They had to keep the Driving Under the Influence charge but a good doctor could cover that up with a prescription. I learned that they didn’t actually do a Breathalyzer test. That initial news report of him being over the legal limit was a fabrication. I’m sure he was over the limit. There just wasn’t any proof of it. If there were, there was always a way to make evidence disappear.

It didn’t matter at this very moment. I had Dee. He was fine. He was with me. It was my job to aid him, shelter him and protect him. I still loved this man regardless of my wrongdoing, regardless of the fact that I just had my dick inside his wife. I’m going to hell.

  CHAPTER 20

The ride home was filled with a dead silence. It was deafening and horror movie scary. Deshawn looked out of the dark tint of my passenger window. I could see the disgusted look on Serena’s face from my rearview mirror.

I was in the middle of a husband and wife, in more ways than one. This scenario was a comedian’s bad joke. I felt bad for Serena and mad at my asshole friend. So now he crashes his Ferrari’s with some woman in the passenger seat. Great, right when we are on the verge of a three-peat and taking endorsement deals to new heights. The first game of the playoffs is tomorrow. Who has time for this shit?

As soon as I pulled into their circular driveway I turned the ignition off. I had some things on my mind. Nothing too heavy but I had to share. We all got out of my truck.

“You coming in?” He asked me but he probably expected it.

“Yeah for a minute. I need to talk to you.”

We all entered the threshold of the mansion.

“How are you feeling? How’s your body?” Dee looked fine but I needed something to report back to the owner and the coach.

“Just a little stiff. I’m good to play after some treatment. I’m not missing any games.”

“We play tomorrow.” I thought he should at least sit one out but it was up to the head coach, the team doctor, and the owners. We could afford to lose the first game of the first round in the playoffs. It was the best of seven and going all the way was more important than pushing our star far beyond his capabilities.

“The glass cut me up a bit but I can play tomorrow. My body is intact and that’s all that matters.”

“Good. Coach Tucker was very concerned.”

“I’m sure he is. He’s trying to win.” Deshawn chuckled like he hadn’t started a shit-storm. “We’re all trying to win.”

“Which one of your hoes was in the car with you this time?” Serena spit fire with every word that exited her mouth.

  “Just my friend.”

  “Was it that Puerto-Rican bitch?”

Dee knew better than to answer. “Serena I was in an accident. I could’ve died.”

“God doesn’t love me that much.”

“Rena that’s a fucked up thing to say.” Dee tried to wrap his arms around his wife but she pulled away.

“Fuck you! I wish you died.”

“That’s fucked up!” He didn’t like being rejected.

“I’m tired of you and all your nonstop bullshit!”

“Hold up! I was giving her a ride. That’s all.”

“Stop lying all the time. Who was this bitch, this time? I mean the list is long. Why waste time just tell me which hoe is so important that you have to be with her instead of your fucking kids. Tenisha is home on break. You were supposed to pick her up from Midway. You never see her but you got time for hoes.”

I walked into the adjoining room. I could hear them but I couldn’t see them. Dee wasn’t the type to hit a woman so I knew she would be safe. She was understandably pissed. She needed to get all her anger and frustration out.

I planted my butt at the dining room table. I twisted in my seat when I felt someone behind me. Tenisha was walking toward me. She was a younger browner version of her mother. Her hair was straight and split down the middle, one side of her hair was black and the other was purple. She changed since going away to college. She was no longer the conservative teen I once knew.

  “Noah.” She called to me.

  “Hey.”

“I see my dad is out of jail.” She could hear him and Serena arguing. I doubted she could see them from where she was standing. I couldn’t see them either.

“I just got your father out. Well me and your mother.”

“Maybe the house would be quieter if he stayed locked up for a little longer.” I didn’t know how to respond to that. He probably never saw the inside of a jail cell. I’m sure he was sitting at someone’s desk the entire time. “I wish they would just get a divorce already. I hate to see my mother putting up with all this stuff. I wish she was stronger.”

  “She’s strong.”

“No, not really. Cheating doesn’t make you strong. Look at my father. He’s weak for every groupie that shakes her ass. Leaving toxic situations makes you strong.”

“It’s easier to leave when there aren’t children involved.”

“That’s a load of crap. Using the kids as an excuse to be treated like shit, what a cop out. This family is broken. You should know that better than anyone.” She glared at me just like she did when she caught me leaving the wine cellar. I hope she doesn’t think that I broke this family. It was already damaged beyond repair before I slept with her mother. I hope she doesn’t hate me.

“Tenisha, are you mad at me?” A dumb question, it just popped out.

“No, but I’m never calling you Uncle Noah again.”

I wasn’t quite sure what she meant. “Okay.”

“My mother is very fragile. She’s been through a lot with my father. I’m very protective of her.”

“You should be. She loves you and DJ more than anything. Sometimes people get together when they are so young. Years pass and they grow apart or they feel like they missed out on something.”

“So if that explains my parents, what do you think you’re doing? You need to shit or get off the pot.”

She was staring me down. I wanted to look away but this little skinny eighteen-year-old college student had me scared of my own reactions. She was nineteen now. I remembered I sent her money for her birthday.

“I care about your mother and father”

“Of course, you do. This little trio you guys are in is a hot mess.”

“Yes, it is.” I agreed. It was hard not to. Tenisha was smart for her age.

“I get so tired of them fighting all the time. I can’t wait to go back to school in Minnesota. Could you make sure they don’t kill each other when I’m gone?”

  “Yes of course.”

“Don’t say yes of course, when you know and I know what’s up.”

  “Nothing’s up.”

“Stop, don’t even try it. My brother is the dumb one. I’m the smart one. Don’t even try it with me.”

  “I know you’re smart.”

“Could you make sure my father doesn’t kill you when I’m gone. I know my dad treats my mom like
garbage but I still love him. I’ve known you for half my life, so I don’t want you to die either. Secrets and lies always come back to bite you in the ass.”

I went to open my mouth but I didn’t have anything pertinent I could actually say. She gave me an eye roll reminiscent of her mothers. She strolled away from me and in the direction of the continuous bickering. So there’s no doubt now. Tenisha knows I’m sleeping with her mother and she’s not trying to blackmail me or rat me out. I take this as a win.

I sat there alone and waited, for what, I don’t know. The shouting eventually stopped. Deshawn came into the dining room. I stood as he walked toward me.

“Sometimes I hate that bitch. I could have died. She doesn’t care. She wants to cry about Vanessa. She brought up some girl I fucked in high school. I don’t remember that shit. She won’t let shit go. She will drive you to fuck someone else.”

No comment. “My phone has been blowing up since the accident.”

  “Kozlowski called you?”

“Yes, he did, a few times.”

  “Is he pissed?” Dee asked.

“He was calm but you know he hates bad publicity for the team.”

“I get to hear his shit soon enough. I will call him tomorrow. Tell him that.”

“I will. Why are you doing dumb shit in the middle of the season?”

“Man you better chill with that shit.” He was mildly agitated.

“All I’m saying is what the owners are going to say when they call the damn meeting.”

“You’re my teammate. You’re my fam. You don’t own the Cavs. I’m not feeling a lecture.”

“I’m your friend. I’m trying to understand what the fuck is going on in your head. Why are you always so turnt up? You have it all. What more is there to have? Damn man, you need to grow the fuck up. Driving drunk with Vanessa in the car. Killing yourself is one thing but she’s in ICU. Bro, get your life.”

“Seriously your young ass giving out advice? Everybody can’t be you bro’h. Everybody can’t be Saint Noah. Some of us like pussy. Some of us like spending money on nasty bitches that will let you fuck them any way the sun shines. Everybody doesn’t sit around jerking their own dicks. I love pussy.”
