  “Shit!” she moaned.

Maya reeled and shook her head in disbelief when Red’s tongue stabbed deep. Her vagina quivered as his drugged saliva seeped into her sensitive skin. She felt the flood of moisture as she spasmed around his seeking tongue. Red growled and it vibrated all the way to her g-spot.

“No, no, no. Oh, fuck, yes!” She clawed at the floor as he made a meal of her pussy without coming up for air. His animalistic growls put her vibrator to shame and quickly had her teetering on the edge of sanity.

Suddenly, Red’s weight was pressing down on her back. Her eyes widened and she choked, feeling his pulsing heat shove against the entrance of her vagina. As wet as she was and primed to go, the stretching burn was still unbelievable. It pulled her out of the ecstatic haze as reality dawned on her.

“You’re too big.” She reached back and pushed at his hips.

Red paused and nuzzled the side of her neck.

  “Mine,” he rumbled the supplication.

She felt bad for him. He was obviously still delirious from the damn cocktail of sedatives, acting on the age-old instinct of boy meets girl. The way her body sang, she wasn’t immune to it either.

  “Mine,” he whispered again.

Red’s mouth kissed her neck as the hand not propping his massive weight started to gently caress her side, working its way up her shirt. Maya laughed nervously as she realized he was trying to coax her into accepting him.

He found her breast, burrowing beneath her bra to massage and tease her stiff nipple. Red pulled his hips back, taking the unbelievable pressure off her pussy and she sighed in relief. But he didn’t retreat entirely. His thick cock slid through the moisture slickening her cleft when he started to rub his length along her folds. Her breath sped up as he abraded her throbbing clit with each slow glide against her sensitive skin. Every knot on his shaft sent a spike of pleasure coursing through her. He was doing a good job tempting her.

He would feel unbelievable thrusting inside me. What are you thinking? With the way his broad crown bumped at her stomach, she wasn’t ashamed to admit he was too much man for her.

Red placed kisses along her neck and she couldn’t help but tilt her head to give him better access to the spot that made her shiver.

“Yes, mine,” he growled in a seductive deep voice.

Maya cried out when his fangs sank deep into the crook of her neck, but the pain quickly morphed to something far more insidious. The illicit heat from his drugged bite exploded like a supernova, rushed through her veins, homing in on her already inflamed nerves. She thought it was intense when he merely scratched her, but that was nothing compared to a full dose.

“Ohhh fuuuck,” her voice trembled as she moaned in ecstasy.

Red rumbled in satisfaction and curled his hips. Again he shoved his thick cock at her pussy, demanding to be let in. The liquid sin he pumped into her bloodstream tossed her reticence aside. Carnal desperation had her arching up to meet him. In the back of her mind she knew Red was going to own her like no man ever had or would again, but she no longer cared. Besides, she was as good as dead after all this, she might as well be fucked silly and go out with a bang.

Maya bit her lip when Red pushed forward, working his crown incrementally into her. Her breath burst forth in staccato pants as he stretched her wide, till his broad head popped through her constricted opening. The fullness was so intense it was nearly unbearable, and yet she couldn’t stand it if he stopped, not now.

“Oh, yes,” Maya moaned as the knots on his cock slid over her quivering flesh and his crown shoved against her g-spot.

Red pressed forward and the pleasure mounted. She reached down and furiously started rubbing her clit. Her pussy spasmed around Red’s thick cock and he bucked, impaling her to the hilt, ripping a scream from her throat. It was sweet agony.

He stilled, hunched over her, and tenderly kissed her ear. Maya pulled in several deep breaths, getting used to his size. She was struck by his delicious scent enveloping her. Red didn’t smell like any man she’d known. His spicy musk called to a primal part of her. And his warm, muscular body blanketing hers was strangely comforting as much as it was arousing. Maya needed to feel him moving inside her. Her body cried out for the wildness she knew he possessed. She flexed her inner muscles around Red’s pulsing arousal and squirmed.

Red grunted and pulled back, his cock sliding out. He huffed and surged back in. She lit up instantly, like a bonfire roaring to life. Red picked up his pace, thrusting faster, driving deeper with every plunge. The animalistic sounds he made as his hips slapped against her ass added to the erotic intensity. Maya cried out her pleasure with every delicious lunge. Her pussy quivered and spasmed as Red ratcheted her higher.

“I can’t. I can’t,” she whined. The pleasure was too much.

He slammed in again, striking her g-spot. Maya froze as the pleasure erupted. Every muscle in her body seized from the orgasm hotter than the surface of the sun. Red snarled when she clamped down on his thrusting cock. She collapsed, quivering from the intensity. Red gripped her hands, pinning them out front as he stretched along the length of her back. Her ecstatic keen echoed off the walls when he bit into her shoulder again and continued fucking her with wild abandon. Maya thrashed beneath Red’s straining body as one orgasm morphed into the next, each more intense than the one before. She reeled from it all.

“Red!” she screamed when he impaled her one last time.

Red released a deafening roar as his seed sprayed the walls of her quaking channel. Maya’s voice broke from the rapture that ensued, her eyes rolling back in her head. She gripped his hands, holding on for dear life while her world shattered. Red collapsed, totally spent, but quickly caught himself before crushing her. He rolled and pulled her into a tight embrace as they drifted back from nirvana and attempted to catch their breath.

  Vintor quo Fortis

It was an unbelievable dream, peaking buried deep in his bonded with the taste of her on his tongue.

“Mine,” he husked as he gripped her tighter and coiled his tail around her leg, fearing his goddess would fade.

She felt so small in his arms, but she molded perfectly against his chest. Her hips and tummy were soft like he imagined the mother of creation would be. The scent of her was clean with a hint of something floral lingering in her curly, jet-black hair. He could hold her indefinitely and be content.

Vintor blinked in confusion as he looked around the room. This was not a suitable setting for a vision about his future mate. He flexed his fingers, massaging the very real female in his embrace, then licked his lips, tasting her blood mixed with the spicy conjugo serum.

“No,” he whispered in horror as the fragmented memories coalesced.

His gaze flew to the destroyed bed, and the remnants of the broken manacles lying in the middle of the cell. He stared down at the conjugo mark on the dusky beauty’s otherwise flawless neck. Her green breeches were callously shoved down her legs, her top torn at the neck.

You did this. You savaged her, he silently roared in disgust with himself as the remnants of the drugs gave way to his intense emotions.

It didn’t matter she was one of the humans who’d imprisoned him, nothing merited such savagery toward a female.

“No!” he repeated as devastation over what he’d done in his delirious state ripped through him.

The delicate goddess turned and looked at him with those large dark eyes and his misery doubled seeing the wariness in her appraising gaze. She was trembling and though he wanted to comfort her, he was the one who’d ruthlessly possessed her. It did not matter, instinct had driven him to claim his bonded in a drugged fit of passion. That was no excuse. This wasn’t the way they were supposed to come together. There was no honor in what he’d done.

“I do not have words to express how sorry I am,” he rasped, his heart breaking.

She scooted away from him and fixed her clothing.

Fool, she doesn’t even understand you.

; Somehow, he had to express remorse for the abhorrent way he bound her. She watched him suspiciously as he approached and knelt in front of her. Gently he placed one fist to his chest, right over his heart, then bowed, nearly kissing the floor.

“I am sorry, my precious goddess,” he repeated as gently as he could. She may not understand him, but perhaps she would hear the depth of remorse in his voice. “I would’ve never taken you like this if I was in my right mind. I never meant to harm you or any of your people. I owe you all for my life. That is why I’m here.”

Vintor stayed in the prostrate position for what felt like forever. He glanced up to find her still staring at him. She didn’t speak. She didn’t yell, cry or curse him for what he did. She just sat silently staring. Vintor released a mournful sigh and retreated to the far wall and sat.

What now? He had no clue.

“Hopefully Ashtoret made it safely back to our cruiser in the river. If he has any sense he’ll get the cloaking array set up without me. We’ll just have to pray your people leave it be.” He glanced back at her. “I wish you could understand how much trouble your people are in.”

He shook his head as he looked around his prison. He was in just as much danger as they were, given the way humans felt about foreign races. Finding a way out was going to be twice as difficult now with his mate to consider.

“How in Kali’s name am I going get you to not hate me, let alone explain that you’re my mate and get us out of here?” he growled in frustration.

The goddess gasped, and his gaze swung to her. Her eyes were wide as she gaped at him.

Idiot. You scared her being all snarly.

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to frighten you again,” he muttered quietly.

The door cracked open, revealing a handful of armed humans. His goddess quickly headed for the door. He couldn’t blame her for fleeing. Even though he didn’t trust the males with his mate, the last thing he wanted was to do something foolish to make them act, putting her in danger. So as much as it pained him, and every instinct screamed to follow, he forced himself to stay seated as his mate left.

  “I’m sorry,” he called out.

She turned and glanced back at him wearing an expression that ripped a hole in his soul before disappearing. He couldn’t help the roar of anguish that tore from his throat as the door clanged shut.

  Maya

It’s true. He’s here to help us and this is how we treat him.

Maya nearly crumpled on the floor when she heard Red roar after the cell door slammed shut. The anguished sound struck her deep. But there was no time for weakness, General Offutt was waiting in the hall with a cadre of soldiers.

“This way,” he commanded with barely a glance.

Maya was more than a little frazzled, but she did her best to pull it together as she trailed the general, flanked by his armed entourage. She felt her neck. Surprisingly it wasn’t sore, no longer bled, and already seemed to be healing. Something in Red’s saliva acted similar to how quickly he healed from the gunshot wound. The door to the nearby observation room swung open revealing Dr. Hayden.

“You disappoint me, Dr. Roberts. Besides the amorous interlude, you were rather quiet. Did you or did you not review the file with the questions we had?” Dr. Hayden demanded, while the general stood by his side looking ominous.

Maya looked at them incredulously. Emil didn’t ask how are you, are you hurt, none of that. It was straight to business. Sadly, she hadn’t expected anything less from the bastards.

“I’m sorry, I was just attacked. All I got was a bunch of insensible growling,” she lied while keeping a straight face.

“I see. I must say, that was quite an interesting response the subject had to you, and vice versa.” Emil looked her up and down, pausing on her neck. He sighed and continued. “Well, I suppose the language implant is new and the subject was still under the influence of the sedatives. I can’t fault you for that. Frank, remind me to have a word with Dr. Bauer about his interference.”

“Yes, sir.” General Offutt nodded then resumed his stiff stance.

“Tomorrow you’ll go back in there. I expect you to do a better job, otherwise we’ll have to investigate why the implant failed. Now go cleanup, Dr. Roberts.”

  “Yes, sir.”

Maya walked out of the room and collapsed against the wall. The excuse she was traumatized by the encounter barely worked, given the way she responded to Red, and it only delayed things. She had to come up with another way to evade this interrogation. She refused to tell them Red’s ship was hidden in a nearby river, endangering his mission to help her people. But she had to give her superiors something or she’d end up on the surgical table having her brain dissected.

What am I going to do?

Maya trudged to the locker room, stripped and stepped into the shower. She pressed her forehead against the wall and let the tears she’d been holding back flow. Despite what she might have implied to Emil, she wasn’t upset with Red. Quite the opposite actually. He was drugged and imprisoned like an animal. It was no wonder he acted on animal instinct. And the sex was mind blowing.

She sobbed as she recalled the devastation in his dark eyes when he came around and realized what happened. It took everything in her power not to say something to assuage his guilt as he begged her for forgiveness. But she couldn’t say a word and still claim to her superiors that she was ignorant and traumatized.

I’m the one who should be begging for forgiveness. Because of me, he’s mated to one of the humans who imprisoned him.

The news had come as an utter shock, adding to her misery. But rather than being upset that he was suddenly saddled with an unintentional mate, who was his enemy, Red was worried about her and the mission to help Earth. She was certain she wouldn’t be so kind if she awoke from a drugged stupor to find she’d fucked and married her kidnapper. The violation would be too much to bear. But Red wasn’t that way. He was more tender and humane toward her than her own people had been. Maya laughed bitterly at the irony.

I have to figure out a way to get him out of here.

  4 Fighting the Madness

  Vintor quo Fortis

He knew he was acting like a rabid caged metcor as he paced the cell for the hundredth time. The drugs they pumped into him had faded, no longer addling his brain, and yet he couldn’t settle his mind. Vintor punched the metal door and roared out his anger, ignoring the spike of pain as he added another dent to the dozen already there. A smile twisted his face when he heard the murmurs on the other side of the door. From the sound and scent, he’d startled the human males walking by.

“Good.” That’s the least of what they deserved for imprisoning someone without cause.

But the satisfaction was short lived. His agitation grew as her scent faded from the room. The intensity of the conjugo bond was driving him mad. Every second she was gone he felt himself slipping deeper into vesania. He once witnessed a male succumb to the madness when his conjugo mate died shortly after they bonded, and it wasn’t a pretty sight.

Do you deserve any less for bonding a female without her consent? The worst of dishonors, the highest of crimes. Stealing away her choice, just because you felt the pull.

Vintor paused at the spot where he pressed her against the wall. He sniffed the gray stone. pulling her lingering scent into his lungs and it calmed him. He recalled his goddess turning her head, giving him access to the throbbing pulse on her neck. In his deluded state he thought she was giving him consent to mark her and seal the bond.

“She’s human,” he snarled and slapped his palms against the wall. “She doesn’t know our ways. She doesn’t even understand you.”

He turned, slid down the wall, landing on his tail, and stared at the dented door. Finding a way out of this prison should be his primary goal. He was free of the restraints. His stomach was almost healed, and he was no longer drugged. An opportunity would come, and he needed to be prepared to take it. His mission affected millions. And yet he couldn’t must
er the will.

Vintor glanced at the spot on the floor where he’d slept, the spot where he made her his. There was no way he could escape without her. But his captors were her people as much as he hated to admit it. How was he going to convince her he wasn’t the beast he behaved like, let alone get her to shift her loyalties? And if being a brute and an enemy wasn’t enough of an obstacle, he was entirely foreign to her race. How would he ever earn her affection, and did he even deserve it?

Perhaps I’m meant to die here. That was a far better fate than leaving without his bonded and falling prey to the madness that would inevitably consume him.

His gaze swung to the door when it opened. He should’ve gotten up and rushed it, but instead stayed where he was. His goddess stepped over the threshold and he shot to his feet.

“Oh!” Her eyes widened as she jumped, nearly dropping the tray of food she carried.

As desperate as he was to go to her, Vintor stayed deathly still, not wanting to frighten her further.

“I brought you food.” She hesitantly stepped forward and placed the tray in the middle of the floor, then backed up again.

He didn’t dare speak. He knew his voice and canines were frightening from the way the humans back home described their first encounter with the Cadi, so he lowered his forehead to the floor in a prostrate bow, hoping the subservient pose eased her fear.

“Please don’t,” she said quietly, seeing him grovel.

There was a hitch in her velvety voice and he looked up to meet her gaze. The sadness he saw in her umber eyes leveled him.
