“Lorry Formby.”
“Miss Formby are you available to meet with Mr. Hughes this evening?”
“What?” Clarissa’s arms dropped to her side as she stood in shock with an open mouth. “Surely you mean me…Miss Cox? Mr. Hughes wants to meet with me?”
The courier raised an eyebrow and then double checked her written instructions. “No, the request is for Miss Cox’s assistant. Not Miss Cox. Are you available this evening, Miss Formby?”
Lorry had no idea what to say and all she could do was nod her head as both Clarissa and Sally stared at her.
“Excellent,” the courier lifted the lid on the first box and pulled out a single hanger that had a dark purple dress hanging from it. “This is for you to wear tonight. It should be the correct size but if not, I have orders to replace it.”
Lorry reached out her hand and stood like a stupefied statue holding the silk dress in front of her face. “This is also for you. Inside is a gift and instructions for your date this evening.” The courier handed Lorry the smaller white box with her other free hand and then disappeared back out the door.
“This has got to be a mistake,” Clarissa kept her eyes fixed on Lorry with a look of pure hate while Lorry just remained frozen holding her new dress.
“For God’s sake Lorry, open the other box.” Sally appeared at Lorry’s side and took the purple dress from her so that she could open the other box. She lifted the lid and inside was a string of diamonds resting in a circle and note that simply read:
“Meet me on the helipad at seven.”
Chapter 3
Lorry had spent the last few hours of work running around like a headless chicken. Clarissa’s fury had peaked and she was purposefully overloading Lorry with work in order that she would either miss or be late for her date with Mr. Hughes.
Clarissa stomped out of her office and dropped a pile of documents and files in the middle of Lorry’s desk. “I want these scanned into the system and filed alphabetically on my drive by tomorrow morning.” With her sharp pointy nose, Clarissa looked down at Lorry with pure disgust still convinced that there had been a mistake. “If it isn’t done by the morning, don’t bother coming back in.”
Clarissa sucked in her lips and then bolted out the office doors leaving Lorry overwhelmed. She looked down at her wrist watch and could see that she only had thirty minutes before she was supposed to be meeting her date. Lorry wondered if she would have time after the date or even first thing in the morning to come back in and finish all the paperwork but she didn’t have much hope.
“Is she finally gone?” Sally snuck her head around the corner and smiled at Lorry.
“What are you doing here? I thought you went home ages ago?” Lorry was always pleased to see Sally but she didn’t really have time for interruptions.
“Oh, I stuck around knowing that you would need my help. Let me guess, that spiteful cow has given you a ridiculous amount of work to do so that you can’t meet Mr. Hughes?” Sally looked at the pile of documents and knew that there was no way Lorry was going to manage everything by herself.
“You guessed it – she wants all of this scanned and alphabetized by the morning. I don’t even know what most of it is…just random notes and pieces of paper.” Lorry started to flick through some of the pages and realized that it was the content of Clarissa’s waste paper basket. “She said not to come back in tomorrow if it’s not done.”
“I bet she did. She can’t stand the fact that she got overlooked by the gorgeous Mr. Hughes while you stole his heart with just one look.” Sally came up behind Lorry’s desk and started to flick through the same pile of paperwork.
“I didn’t steal his heart, Sally. That’s a bit of an over-exaggeration – he’s just some rich guy that took a fancy to me,” Lorry was trying her best to play it cool when really she was elated by the fact that Silvester Hughes had singled her out.
“Well, I wish a handsome rich guy would take a fancy to me too. Anyway, it’s almost seven. You best be getting changed and making your way upstairs.” Sally rolled Lorry’s chair away from the desk.
“I know but I really don’t want to lose this job. There’s no way I’m going to get all this done if I leave now.”
Sally gave Lorry a warm smile and handed her the two white boxes from Mr. Hughes. “Don’t worry about this, I’m going to stay and get it done. There’s no way we are going to let that evil ice queen ruin your evening. Now go and get changed.” Sally slipped herself into Lorry’s chair and started to rifle through the papers.
“Are you sure Sally, it’s going to take ages to get through with all that?” Lorry felt bad that her friend was going to do her work but, at the same time, she was extremely grateful.
Sally waved her hand to make Lorry leave. “Just go will you, before I change my mind.”
“Oh, thank you, Sally. Thank you so much.” Lorry waved goodbye and then rushed down the hall into the bathrooms to throw the purple gown on and diamond necklace. She untied her long brown hair and let it fall over her shoulders wishing she had the time to properly curl it. There were a few spare minutes for her to apply some fresh lipstick and mascara but then she quickly made a dash to the elevator and up to the top floor.
Lorry had never been up to the helipad on the Class building rooftop and just before she pushed the exit door open she breathed in a deep breath and slowly exhaled. The door opened and a gush of wind lifted her long hair in all directions as she stepped forward out onto the concourse. There, in the center of a red painted circle, was a silver two-seater helicopter with its propellers spinning. The side door opened unexpectedly and a hand beckoned for her to enter which she did without question.
“Miss Formby, come on in.” Silvester Hughes was sitting in the pilot seat with a large set of headphones covering his ears. He was still wearing the same suit from earlier but his stiff serious mood was completely gone. “Here...put on this headset and buckle yourself in.” He smiled a boyish grin at her as she placed the headset over her ears and fastened herself into the chair. It wasn’t until this moment that she realized how reckless she was being. Lorry didn’t know where she was going, when she would be back and she hardly knew anything about Mr. Hughes, except that he was handsome and wealthy. The logical part of her brain had alarm bells ringing that this was an incredibly stupid idea but as Silvester lifted the helicopter into the air and the twinkling lights of New York lay below her feet, Lorry decided to enjoy the moment and revel in the fact that she was literally being swept off her feet.
“Thank you for joining me tonight, Miss Formby, I wanted to brighten your day,” he winked at her as he turned the aircraft to give her a full view of the New York skyline.
“Please, call me Lorry, Mr. Hughes. I’m just so grateful for the invitation…I’ve never been in a helicopter before.” Like a giddy school girl Lorry gazed all around herself to spot buildings and places that she recognized.
“Well, Lorry, you can call me Silvester. No more of this Mr. Hughes nonsense.” Silvester circled the city a couple of times to ensure that Lorry got to see all the different views and then he skillfully landed it on top of a huge skyscraper known as SH Place. He helped her down and within minutes they were walking into his penthouse apartment.
“Welcome Lorry. I thought it might be nice for us to dine here tonight. When I go out it’s hard for me to get away from the paparazzi and I wouldn’t want to put you under that torment.” Silvester walked straight into the middle of the apartment which was all open plan with enormous ceiling to floor windows. He slipped his jacket off and threw onto a pure white sofa and Lorry couldn’t help but notice his muscular shape under his thin white shirt.
She didn’t know what to do with herself as she had never seen an apartment so big or lavishly decorated and she remained standing in the hallway twiddling her fingers like a nervous child.
“You didn’t need to send me the dress or necklace. It was very nice of you but unnecessary for dining
at home.” Lorry looked down at herself and wondered why he would send her such an expensive and elegant dress if they were simply staying in his apartment.
Silvester turned and realized that his guest was still hovering in the hallway while he had made himself comfortable. He walked back over to Lorry and took a moment to take in how beautiful she looked in the royal purple gown that fitted her perfectly. The silk fabric hugged her slim frame in all the right places and the diamond necklace rested just right on her pronounced collarbone. There had been something between them, some undeniable chemistry, earlier at the photo shoot and he was starting to feel it again.
“I wanted to give you something nice. I was repulsed by the way your boss spoke to you and I just wanted to make you feel special.” His blue eyes met her brown irises and there was a pause between them as they just sensed the rising tension.
“Thank you,” Lorry didn’t know what else to say. He hadn’t said anything more than just wanting to be a nice person. He hadn’t said anything about attraction or the fact that he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her but he obviously wanted more if he had brought her to his home. Then, just as quickly, a doubt flashed into her mind; what if he acted this way with all the women he was attracted to? Perhaps she wasn’t special and just one in the long list of women he had seduced with a helicopter ride.
Lorry’s brow furrowed and Silvester sensed that she was concerned by the whole situation. “I’ve never done anything like this before, if you’re wondering, Lorry.” He came closer to her and she could smell his enticing cologne. “I’ve never given anyone a dress or jewelry before…well, besides my mother,” he smirked and then took her hands in his. “I know this is all very strange and fast but I felt a connection between us at the photo shoot this morning. I can feel it now and I think this could be something real. Tell me, did you feel it too?”
Chapter 4
Silvester’s words were hypnotizing and exactly what Lorry wanted to hear in her vulnerable state. He ran his hand through her hair and put his other hand on her waist. His firm touch made her body come alive and as he looked into her eyes with a deep longing she knew she couldn’t resist his touch. He moved his hand gently over her silk dress, lightly grazing her rib cage with his fingers as her nipples started to harden with expectation. Everything in her mind was telling her to walk away, that this was happening way too fast but the most handsome man she had ever seen continued to caress her. Lorry gave way to her thoughts and let her body satisfy its fleshly need.
Silvester’s fingers were tracing her chest bone as he leaned in and whispered, “I want you and only you, Lorry.” He clasped the straps on her dress and pulled them down in unison over her thin arms revealing her pert round breasts. She longed for him to kiss her, to move his mouth hungrily over her body but he continued to run his hands down her waist. The purple dress fell to her hips and in one swift motion as he pulled it down, dropping it to her feet leaving Lorry standing only in a black thong and heels.
He rose slowly back up and ran his hands over her smooth toned legs which made her shiver and the hair on her arms stand up. As he stood he slipped one hand between her legs and Lorry gasped at the feeling of his finger caressing her secret place. Her body quivered and she did all that she could to remain standing fixated by the power he had over her. His other hand skimmed her pale cheeks and moved up along the arch of her back, to her neck and then he took a handful of her hair and softly tilted her head back so that he could look directly into her eyes.
“Tell me you feel it too.” His pale eyes looked fierce but he still had the same warm smile that Lorry could not resist. She could feel his hand stroking her and making her wet, the pleasure was almost unbearable. She wanted, needed him to kiss her and finish the seduction that he had started.
One finger entered her and she grabbed at his white shirt pulling him closer to her chest as she moaned out in pleasure.
“I feel it. I feel it too,” Lorry couldn’t hold back the words any longer and as she gave in to his desire, Silvester finally pressed his lips onto hers and the warm touch of his tongue released her completely into her passion. She threw her arms around him, pulling at his shirt until the buttons popped off to reveal his chiseled abs. A surge of confidence washed over her as she gave herself entirely into Silvester’s arms.
He grabbed her hand and led her over to the white sofa that was up against a glass wall. He unbuttoned his trousers as they made their way over and his eyes filled with delight as he watched Lorry lie back on the couch.
She looked like a goddess, stretched out with her legs open waiting for him to join her. Her pale skin looked pure and unblemished against the white fabric and as his suit trousers dropped to the floor and he stepped forward, his hard penis throbbed from the rushing blood that drove him on. He stood over her enjoying the moment as she ran her delicate hand down her stomach and toward her legs. She wet her lips with her tongue. That move drove Silvester totally wild. The passion between them was irresistible. Lorry looked deeply in his eyes and then evocatively she said, “Take me.”
Silvester slipped on a condom as he bent down, pulling her black lace thong off while kissing her pink hard nipples, circling the tip with his tongue as he rubbed the top of his penis against her moist pink vagina. Lorry couldn’t take the delay, her body was on pins and needles with his every touch and as she felt his hot breath on her neck she repeated her request.
“Take me, Silvester. Take me...”
She wrapped her arms around his back and pressed him down onto herself and he obliged by fully putting himself inside her. Lorry moaned as Silvester started to thrust, his blue eyes hovering over her and his tongue lining her neck. He was deep, deep inside of her and Lorry had never felt pleasure like it before.
Silvester grabbed at her thighs, pulling her closer and closer into him and all she could do was arch her back and cry out in ecstasy. Lorry could feel the heat coming from the burns of the sofa fabric against her soft skin but she didn’t care and, if anything, it added to the intensity of her pleasure.
There was something wild and uncontrollable about how they made love; Lorry felt free to do things that she would have never done before. She scratched at his back with her long nails and could feel him thrust harder as she ran her fingers along his skin. The pale blue glow of his eyes seemed to brighten the more aggressive she became and at one point Silvester pinned her arms above her head and held them firmly against the side of the couch.
Lorry loved him taking control but, at the same time, it made her want to push back. She kissed his neck and then unexpectedly sunk her teeth into the curve of his shoulder. Silvester groaned out, lifted his chest up and Lorry felt his pulsing penis within her throb. Her own body responded by surging her with an intense pleasure that coursed through her pelvis like electricity making her entire body shake and moan with delight.
Their bodies were spent and they remained entwined in each other’s arms for several minutes relishing the few pulses of joy that still trickled through their bodies.
“I wasn’t expecting that to happen!” Lorry spoke after several minutes of silence as Silvester lifted himself up from her sweaty chest. Normally, Lorry would feel slightly self-conscious about being naked but her confidence was still running high and she let herself rest on the sofa bare in all her glory.
Silvester panted, slightly out of breath and then reached across to pull out a soft silver blanket from a nearby basket. He threw it over himself and Lorry, tucking her into his arms with her head resting on his lap. “I’ve honestly never done anything like that before. There’s just something about you…I can’t control myself.”
Lorry loved to hear his praise and she felt exactly the same about him. “You must have been with other women before?” She wanted to clarify his statement as she herself had had a number of failed relationships.
“Yeah, of course, but nothing like this. I’ve never slept with anyone on the first day of meeting them,” Silvester looked d
own at Lorry and raked his fingers through her tangled brown hair.
She found it hard to believe that someone so attractive and desirable would not have had many, many women but for the moment she was glad his attention was only on her. “Neither have I. I normally have a three date rule but I guess we blew that out of the water – we didn’t even make it to dinner!”
They laughed and Lorry was relieved that they could joke so easily. The chemistry between them was undeniable. Part of her still could not understand how easily she was willing to break all her dating rules, yet, at the same time, she felt incredibly right about her decision...
“Oh, how ungentlemanly! You must be starving. I’ll just grab you some clothes and then we can eat.”
“Wait a second,” Lorry bent down and picked up Silvester’s abandoned shirt from the floor. “This will do.”
She slipped her arms into the sleeves and fastened the front with one of the few remaining buttons. Silvester put his trousers back on and they headed over to the kitchen hand in hand.
“I’m not sure I’m going to be able to concentrate knowing you have nothing on underneath my shirt,” Silvester winked and then pulled out a few items from the fridge as Lorry walked over to his side. She pushed his hand against the fridge door to close it and then unbuttoned the shirt to reveal her ample cleavage. Silvester brushed the shirt of her shoulders with his hands and Lorry stood in his arms completely naked.
