Order was restored to the universe and the storms eventually came to an end. The snow melted and the floods eventually drained. My dad quickly built back the town once more, as did the rest of the world. There was still good and bad as there always would be, but balance was now restored. The death of the Queen killed the chaos that would have devoured the world.
Our wedding came to an end, and after we danced the night away, Damon and I spent our first night together as a married couple. As we made love in the Queen’s old suite, I couldn’t help daydreaming of Ben. As Damon kissed me, I tasted Ben’s lips against mine. As Damon held me tight, I could only picture Ben’s body pressed against mine. When we were finished, I lay naked against Damon feeling terribly bittersweet.
