  Chapter 13

In the hotel room, Dante couldn't help but feel a little bit nervous. He hadn't had the best of luck recently with hotel rooms. He put Taylor down on the bed and then began pacing. He touched his holster. He had his pistol with him. 9mm Nano Beretta. He walked to the window and pulled back the curtain. It looked out on a parking lot. There were a few cars. He wrote down the model, color, and the time. It would give him a reference point throughout the night.

Normally, he wouldn't have been quite so meticulous. But in the current predicament, one slip-up could be fatal.

And it wasn't just his life he was worried about. He swore to himself that he would do everything in his power to protect her.

He stared at her as she lay on her side, makeup smeared on her cheeks. She looked so vulnerable. So soft. He put his pistol on the dresser, walked over to the bed, and kneeled beside it. He put his fingers on her cheek, stroked up and down gently. She opened her eyes and blinked several times.

She smiled, reached up, and ran her fingers down his neck. He smiled. She looked so beautiful. He moved closer, planted his lips on hers, gently. They kissed again. Dante wanted to take things slowly. He wanted to kiss every inch of her beautiful body, worship at the Temple of her mons pubis, bury his head in between her thighs, lick left and right, up and down, slipping a finger into her ass, tickling and teasing her labia, swashbuckling left and right.

He got on the bed and straddled her. He could've sworn that he saw love and admiration in her eyes. She squeezed his pecks, then closed her eyes and moaned, mouth half open, head thrown back. They kept their clothes on for several minutes while they rolled around on the bed, arms and legs intertwined, tongues twisting and twining.

Dante pulled off her top, and then her bra. He sucked on her pointy nipples, bit them, squeezed them, nibbled them. He kissed down her belly, slowly, leaving a trail, licking one way, then the other way, then moving below the belly button, moving a little bit lower past the tuft of hair…

He flicked his tongue against her clit head, once, twice, three times. She arched her back

  “OOHHHHHH, That feels sooooooooooo good.”

  Chapter 14

“Sweet home Alabama. Sweet home Alabama.”

Gus pulled into the Walmart parking lot and cut off the engine. The radio continued to play.

“YEHAWWWWW!!!!” Big Momma yelled from the back of the RV. Both she and Little Baby came to the front and kissed him on the cheek.

“Are we in New York yet, Daddy?” Little Baby asked.

Gus shook his head. “We’re in Ohio, baby. Columbus. We’ll get to New York tomorrow afternoon, I think.” She hugged him around the neck. They kissed on the lips. He reached into his wallet and pulled out several twenties and handed them to her. Her blue eyes lit up. She licked her lips. He didn’t want to even think what sort of diabolical ideas were going through her head.

“Get us some fried chicken and coleslaw. And a couple cases.”

The excitement left her eyes. He shook his head and reached into his wallet. He pulled out several more twenties and handed them to her. Her eyes lit up again. She batted her lashes.

He smiled as he watched them walk through the parking lot holding hands.

“Sweet home Alabama. Sweet home Alabama.”

They were only 535 miles away from New York. He couldn't wait to get there. He was itching for some action. He reached under the seat and put his hand on his pistol.

He was ready for anything. He was happy to have a chance to help out Dante. He could feel his mojo coming back suddenly he felt a lot younger than his 52 years.

“Thank you for listening to Q407 Columbus Classic Rock. The time is 1105. We’ll be right back after a word from our sponsors.”

Once he pulled Dante out of whatever mess that he was in, Gus hoped that all of them would be able to head back across the country. He wanted the kid to able to see his father again before he wasted completely way in the desert.

  The RV shook.

“What the fuck?” Gus said out loud. He checked both side mirrors. Nothing.

The shaking began again, this time from the other side.

  “Fuck!”

He opened the door and got out. He walked to the back of the RV. There was a bum in a dirty trench coat and baseball cap. He was clutching a large clear plastic bag with cans inside it.

Gus continued towards him. The bum turned away.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Gus asked.

The bum turned back toward him, then reached into his dirty trench coat. He pulled out a pistol. He shot twice.

  Chapter 15

Taylor loved how her head felt as it rested against Dante’s powerful chest. She loved the feel of his masculine, well defined, powerful arm wrapped around her shoulder. She had never felt so close to death. She had never felt such fear and adrenaline pumping through her body. And that fear and adrenaline had only served to bond her to Dante, in a way that she had never felt about anyone. It was crazy! They'd known each other for less than a week. How was it possible that she was having these feelings, sensing that she wouldn't be able to live without him, sensing that without his presence her life would feel dull, flat, and painfully empty? It hadn't even been a week! This didn't make any sense! But it felt so damn good! Soooooo good!

She reached under the cover, took hold of his semi-hard cock, and began stroking up and down, back and forth. It felt so hard and full in her hand. It amazed her how easily she was able to take it deep inside her. No pain at all. Each time they had sex, she was so wet and slippery that the fat dick just slid right in, going deeper and deeper, touching places she didn't know existed within her, stretching her walls, filling her up completely, giving her the sort of sexual experience that she had always dreamed of.

Dante smiled, opened his eyes. She extended her neck and kissed him gently on the lips. She would never get tired of making love to him. Never get tired of worshiping his beautiful sculpted, godlike physique, especially his cock. What a glorious piece of meat!

“So what do we do next, Superhero?” She asked, still playfully stroking, still playfully smiling, her nipples getting pointy, her pussy getting wet, preparing to receive him again, to take all of him.

“We’re gonna wait a day or two for Gus to get New York in his RV. He’s like a father to me. I definitely want you to meet him.”

Taylor's ears perked up. “Like a father?” She repeated.

Her hand stopped moving up and down on his member, which was now hard. She wanted to know more. They had already done a lot of playing sexually. They had already connected on a deep level because of the intensity and adrenaline rushes of the last several days. But they hadn’t shared much about each other. Family. Hopes and dreams. Disappointments. Fears. Likes. Dislikes. Favorite foods. Favorite music. Movies. There was so much. So much that they didn't know about each other. She stared intensely into his eyes.

  “Tell me more,” she said.

He told her about his troubled childhood in Sacramento. Told her about his mama and daddy. About his dad's descent into addiction and despair. He told her about the Brotherhood. He seemed a little hesitant, and slightly ashamed when discussing their activities. Drug dealing. A nasty business. But she wasn't going to judge him. With his background, he was left with few other options. He'd done what he had to do. What he needed to do, in order to survive. She wouldn't judge him.

“Gus used to be real tight with my father. It’s not the same anymore. He still looks after him every now and then.”

Taylor stared directly into Dante’s beautiful green eyes, listening intently. There was a different tone to his voice than what she had heard over the last few days. There was a faraway look in his eyes as he talked about his past, his family, his present.

She reached out and rubbed the back of her fingers against his cheek. She could see a hint of tears in his eyes. It took courage for him to reveal himself. She both appreciated and admired that.

  “And I’m su
re he’s a bit crazy too,” she added.

Dante chuckled. “Yeah, just a bit. Wait until you meet Big Momma and Baby Girl.”

  “Who?”

  Chapter 16

Big Momma and Baby Girl pushed their full shopping cart into the line. The smell of tasty fresh food tickled Big Momma’s nostrils. Fried chicken. Mashed potatoes. Biscuits. Macaroni. And of course, two twelve packs. Coors Banquet. She had grown up with this type of Southern food in Mississippi. Hattiesburg. She had loved it. But for the last couple decades, since she ran away from home, escape the predatory clutches of drunken, molesting stepfather, she'd eaten whatever she could get her hands on.

There was a tall lanky boy working the cash register. Big Momma reached into her top, slipping her fingers between her abundant cleavage, and let them linger there while she felt the boy’s eyes on her. She smiled and giggled with delight as she pulled out the fresh twenties.

She couldn’t wait to get to New York. When she left Mississippi, she had gone west, first southwest—Colorado, New Mexico, Utah. Then she had gone all the way out to the coast. She wondered how her life would have turned out if she had gone east instead of west when she left home. New York, New York. The Big City! The Bright Lights! With her big tits, dirty mouth, and Dixie accent, she would have made quite an impression on New York’s mean streets.

After she paid the cashier, Big Momma made a big show of putting the change back in her bra. The lanky boy’s face turned red and he licked his lips.

She pushed the cart out the door. Baby Girl hooked her arms under hers. They stared into each other’s eyes, smiled and kissed. They would be in New York tomorrow evening. Life was good. And Big Momma hoped that it was only going to get better.

About fifteen feet away from the RV, she noticed that the front side driver’s door was open. She stopped for a moment, frowned. What the hell is he doing? She wondered. Baby Girl reached out and took hold of her hand.

“Gus, where are you?” Big Momma called out. They looked in through the open door. No sign of him. Big Momma let go of the cart and walked to the back of the RV. She figured he must have been fooling with something mechanical. She wished that he would stop all that. The thing ran fine. It would be best just to leave it.

  “AWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!” She screamed.

Her eyes rolled into the back her head and she fell to the concrete.

  “What’s wrong, Momma?”

  Chapter 17

Dante strutted around the Bronx hotel room with nothing on but his boxer briefs. He loved the way that Taylor's eyes lingered on his exquisitely crafted physique.

The last few hours with her had really taken the edge off. He was finally able to relax. Finally able to experience some sense of calm within the storm.

He went to the window and pulled back the curtain, There was a lot of construction going on in the neighborhood. Good ol’ gentrification. He couldn’t wait to get back out west. And he especially couldn’t wait to see Gus. He looked forward to telling him about the death-defying craziness of the past few days. But his mind was also operating on another level. It was time for him to get out of the Brotherhood. Retire. Buy that country home. Start building his family.

He had a strong feeling that he had found the right woman. They would remember the experiences of the last few days for the rest of their lives. They weren’t quite safe yet. But they were close. So close. He could taste the freedom and security.

Over the past hour, he had sent a bunch of texts to Gus. He hadn’t received a response. He really wanted to confirm when exactly the old man would be getting to town. So he decided to call. It rang a few times. Then it picked up.

“AWWWWWWW!” The sound of someone screaming on the other end of the phone.

“Gus, is everything okay?” Dante asked.

  More screams.

  “GUS!!!”

  The screamed quieted down.

  “Gus dead. You next.”

  “What?”

“You want to save Gus two lady friends?”

“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?”

“Gus dead. His two lady friend still alive. But not for long.”

“What do you want?” Dante asked, his eyes filling with anger and despair.

“Tomorrow. 9 PM. Chelsea Piers. 47 Washington St.”

  “AWWWWWW!”

Dante trembled with rage. Tears streamed down his cheeks. The only person that had ever really been there for him, the only person that had been willing to take him under their wing, nurture, guide, and encourage, him, the only person, was dead.

  Chapter 18

Dante had been pacing back and forth in the hotel room, cursing, tears streaming down his cheeks, veins bulging in his neck and forehead, for the last hour. Taylor didn't know what to say to comfort him. She desperately wanted to help him deal with his loss. But at the same time, she didn’t want to end up saying anything that would either annoy or anger him. So she sat there on the bed, helpless, periodically wiping the tears from her eyes.

Dante had lost the one person in the world who had truly been a father figure to him, who had nurtured him through difficult times. Gus. He was dead. He most likely had been killed by the same people who were after them, the same people that had intended on killing them in the suburban wilderness. They had managed to escape, just barely. But they were far from safe.

A few hours before receiving the terrible news, she had been listening intently as Dante told her about how important Gus had been to him as a father figure. There were tears in his eyes when he spoke. His willingness to open up to her had made her feel that much closer to him. And she felt really honored and flattered that Dante, who she had only known for a few days, wanted to introduce her to someone so important to him.

They were hanging on the edge of a cliff. Dangerous swirled around them. Just a week ago, Taylor's life had been so boring and monotonous. She had been unemployed and hungry for a job. She was tired of having to dip into her savings in order to survive. And of course, she had student loans that had to be paid. All of those worries had gnawed at her for weeks, maybe months. She hadn’t been able to enjoy life or look forward to the future. She had been wrapped up in the daily grind to survive in a very expensive city.

Over the last few days, those worries had drifted far from her mind. Rent? Student loans? A job? None of that mattered at the moment. And if they didn’t get out of this predicament those things would never matter to her again.

They were on the run, the hounds of death nipping at their heels. Despite the danger that surrounded them, she felt calm in Dante’s presence. That boring, passionless, aimless life that she had been living was over. Now her life was filled with all the things that she could only dream of before—passion, adventure, and excitement. But this was no dream. It wasn’t a film or TV show that she could turn off. It wasn’t a book that she could put down.

Feeling death so close had heightened all of her senses. She seemed to notice colors and sounds and smells that had long ago ceased to interest her. Everything seemed so alive. Proximity to death had finally made her feel as if she were actually living. Despite how precarious their current situation was, she felt incredibly grateful for her random meeting with Dante. Since she first locked eyes with him in the bar, she had been under the influence of his passionate nature. And she couldn’t help thinking that maybe their meeting wasn’t so random after all. Maybe it was fate that had brought them together. She had never really been the type of person who believed in those sorts of things. Dante was making her believe all sorts of things that might have seemed ridiculous to her only a short time ago.

She was certain that she had never felt anything close to the sexual intensity and intimacy that she had experienced with him. From their first moments together, she had sensed an undeniable erotic tension between them. There weren’t many women who would have been able to resist his physical charms—blond hair, green eyes, beautiful muscles, sexy tattoos. But there was something even deeper about him, so
mething that she couldn’t quite articulate yet she clearly sensed.

He was so much different from the men in New York who she had long found to be possessed by a very off-putting form of arrogance. A little bit of cockiness and bravado was fine with her, sexy in the right doses but unfortunately men in NYC seemed to compete with each to see who could show the most contempt for other people, especially women. There was something that being around Dante had made her realize about the men in New York. They lacked passion, spontaneity, a taste for adventure and danger. Dante certainly brought all of those things into her life.

He made love to her in a way that no man ever had. He penetrated her deeper and more fully than any man ever had. It was the sort of lovemaking that made her feel grateful for being alive. It was the sort of lovemaking that she would never want to have to live without.

Dante had stopped pacing around the hotel room. His slipped into his jeans and t-shirt. Then he put on his boots. She was confused.

Her voice trembled with fear as she asked, “Where are you going?”

She waited nervously for a response. The pain of his loss seemed to have been converted into rage. For the first time, she feared what his dark side could release. If he didn’t get control of his emotions, there was no way that they would get out of this deadly game alive.

She couldn’t wait any longer. She needed to hear his voice. They were in this together. She needed him to communicate. She wouldn’t be able to tolerate much more of his silent brooding. “You said that it wasn’t safe for us to walk around. Even here in the Bronx. What are you doing?”

He continued to ignore her. She had a bad feeling about what he was going to do. If she allowed him to walk out the door in his current mood, she was certain that he would get himself involve in something foolish or reckless.

She hopped off the bed and rushed towards him. She put her arms on his shoulders and rested her head on his chest. “Please don't do whatever you’re thinking about doing. Please don’t. I’m begging you. Please.”
