I hugged him tight, but he didn’t seem to hold onto me as tightly.
Hadn’t he just said he loved me? He should hold me, he shouldn’t ever want to let me go! I was his and he was mine—
‘We belong together.’
‘No!’ Dion managed to extricate himself from me. Why would he even want to really? His expression was full of love and caring. His brown eyes were so warm. ‘Chad!’
I spun around in a twirl, almost managing to tumble over the fallen chair, but instead I kept my balance and I even put it up properly.
I sat down in it and spun it around.
‘Together we can conquer the world!’
‘I’m calling 999.’
‘Who’s sick?’ I swivelled around to face him. He had his mobile phone out and was pressing buttons.
‘You are!’ He glanced up, expression seemingly scared and angry—but then it morphed into the loving one I’d just seen.
God, he loves me.
‘I’m happy!’ I threw my arms up, wriggling my fingers up towards the stars. I could almost reach them—just a little bit—
‘I love you, Chad.’
‘I told you I love you too!’ I swivelled around on the chair again, around and around and around. ‘I’ve loved you since the day I met you, the day I walked into the classroom and saw you standing there. So tall and handsome and posh. And you gave me the time of day, like, when no one else ever has. You fell for me too then, didn’t you? I knew it!’
I was out of the chair and over by the door. My body thrummed with energy and I needed to do something about it.
‘Chad, get dressed.’
Back around, pick up my boxers and jeans, pull them on, and then I was ready to really conquer the world.
How could I not? I was invincible! No one could resist me.
Dion murmured something and when I turned, I saw he was on the phone. ‘Who are you calling?’
‘Bloody 999.’ He frowned at me now. Where was the gaze full of love from earlier?
‘You don’t have to do that, I’m not sick. I’m perfectly healthy. Look, I’m even hard again!’ I held my arms out and bent my head to look down at my crotch. My erection pressed against the front of the zipper. ‘You need the A&E, since you can’t seem to get it up again. Now that’s not normal.’ I spun around to the door again. ‘I have to go. Things to do, people to bang, a life to live!’ I skipped ahead. ‘You stay here and watch the stars. They’re beautiful!’
‘What stars?’ He asked, incredulous, but then I was out the door and he was out of my mind.
He couldn’t give me what I needed. So I needed to go find someone who could. And I knew just the right person for it.
