But today, she looked like a doll.
“Thanks… What’s in the box, and where in the world are we going tonight? And why are you looking at me like that?”
I watched her take several strides as she placed the box in my hand, grinning, before pulling me out of the room and down the hall.
“C’mon, you can open it in the car. We’re going dancing tonight!”
Her laughter filled the blank space from the front door to her car. I had no choice in the matter.
She knew I was still in a funk over Blake… the loss of him.
Tonight, we were going out, and one way or another, my little sister was going to make sure I, at least, attempted to have a good time and forget all about my failed past with Blake Harper.
