“Fuck yeah,” Destruction said excitedly, “oh my God it’s freakin sweet as balls!”

“Oh God did you get to blow up the evac ship yet? I blew up my cousin in one and he was so pissed, I totally camped his ass!” Colin boasted.

“Dude that game is all kinds of awesome sauce, the graphics are like totally real, I feel like I am actually shooting stuff up and blowing up everything!” Destruction sighed.

“Yeah, blowing shit up is cool!” Colin laughed.

“Oh we know,” Danger said slyly.

“I am totally going to play after school the next two days,” Destruction stated.

“What? Oh my God I am going to be in detention and you are going to be playing Titanfall?” Danger cried.

“What else am I supposed to do?” Destruction asked, “You totally got detention!”

“Oh my God that detention was a total social injustice!” Danger complained.

“I heard you nailed Mandy in her vag with a ball,” Liz asked.

“Totally deserved it, the bitch!” Danger bragged.

“I heard she lost her cherry when she was 12,” Andrea said.

“Ewww, boys are icky,” Destruction said.

  “Hey!” Colin protested.

“Not you Colin, we mean real boys,” Danger said flatly.

“Well ok then,” Colin replied, not getting the veiled insult.

Danger got up, tray in hand.

“Where you going sis?” Destruction asked.

“To get more tater tots!” Danger replied.

Danger walked into the cafeteria kitchen and approached the lunch lady.

  “Yes?” the old woman asked.

  “More tater tots please!”

“No, only ten tots per child.”

Danger frowned and waved her empty tray at the lunch lady.

“More tater tots please!” she repeated.

“Child, are you deaf? I said ten tots per child, now go back to your table.”

Danger put her tray down and sighed. She looked around to make sure she was alone with the lunch lady. She leaned in and looked the woman in the eyes.

“Tater tots, I am done saying please!” she growled.

The lunch lady narrowed her eyes at Danger.

“Child, get out of my face. I raised 7 children and 5 grandchildren and I do not put up with any lip from no flippant tater tot crazed girl child.”

In a flash Danger had jumped the counter, spinning her body, she grabbed a knife from the counter and spun it until the tip of the blade was a fraction of a millimeter from the lunch lady’s eye.

“Tater tots, NOW,” she said softly.

Danger marched triumphantly back to her table, her tray piled high with roughly 3 pounds of tater tots. Smiling she sat down and beheld her tater tot treasure.

“Tater tots for all!” she said happily, throwing her arms into the air.

“How the hell? What the actual fuck?” Danger asked incredulously.

Danger laughed as she shared her tater tots with the other kids at the table.

“I managed to convince old lady Mona to give me more,” she said.

  Destruction leaned into her sister.

“What did you do sis?” she asked quietly.

“All I did was ask for more tater tots, in my own way,” Danger replied.

“I KNOW what your own way is sis, you didn’t kill her did you?”

“No, I just scared her, don’t worry.”

  Math Class

  “Homework please, pass them up!”

The students dutifully passed their homework to the front of the class. Destruction had only JUST revised some of her work for the 8th time since morning. Sighing, she handed it forward. She looked back and saw her sister half asleep at her desk.

The teacher walked up to Danger and looked at her. Unaware, Danger continued to nod off.

“Ahem, do you find fractions boring?” the teacher asked.

  Danger immediately awoke.

“NO Miss Anderson, I was just, uh, thinking about fractions actually,” Danger lied.

Miss Anderson raised one eye brow.

“Oh? And what were you thinking exactly?”

“Uh, well, let’s see, I was, uh, I was thinking if I had gotten twice as much sleep as I did last night instead of only half of much I would be one third more awake than I am now.”

The entire class, including Destruction, laughed.

“That was actually a good answer, try and stay awake ok?”

  “Yes Miss Anderson,” Danger sighed.

Miss Anderson walked back to the front of the class and to the board.

“Now, who can come up here and give me an example of a fractional problem?”

  No one volunteered.

Looking around, Destruction sighed and raised her hand.

“I can try Miss Anderson,” she said.

“Good girl, come on up and show us.”

Destruction walked to the board and rubbed her chin as she thought.

“Ok so like, uh, so like say someone has like 300 pounds of Semtex they are supposed to deliver to a buyer in Cambodia, and they ask you to divide the load up into thirds to get it past customs. So that’s 100 pounds per load, and uh, the local police bribe is 1.5 percent of the value of each 100 pound load. Now the buyer wants to pay 50 percent up front and the other 50 percent after confirmation of delivery. Now, if we compare the cost of transport percentage wise to the….uh……Miss Anderson why are you drinking from that flask?”

“Oh, no reason, no reason at all.”

  After school

Danger and Destruction stood in the hallway outside the detention room. They were standing with their heads bowed, foreheads touching.

“I don’t wanna go in,” Danger cried softly.

“I know, but you have to, you have detention,” Destruction answered.

  “I’ll miss you.”

  “I’ll miss you too.”

  “What if you forget me?”

  Destruction stroked her sister’s hair.

“Forget you? How is that even possible?” she asked.

“I don’t wanna go in,” Danger cried again.

Destruction leaned in and kissed her sister’s forehead softy.

“In two hours you will be home and I will be waiting at the door for you.”

  “You promise?”

  “I promise.”

  “Pinky swear?”

The twins hooked their pinkies together.

  “Pinky swear,” Destruction smiled.

Danger sighed and shook her head. She took a deep breath and walked into the detention room. Destruction watched her close the door and whispered “I love you” and turned away to get on the bus back home.

  Detention

Danger sat with her head in her hands at the desk. There were 6 other students in detention, and one vary bored teacher playing Candy Crush on his Iphone. Danger still had tears in her eyes, she hated being apart from her sister. The twins did everything together, and not just their reign of murder and mayhem. The two girls were more than sisters, they were best friends. They laughed, cried, joked, and lived their lives with each other. No one had ever come between them, and no one ever would.

Danger laid her head on her desk and closed her eyes. She could not handle being apart from Destruction for long, and it was all she could do to control herself from bursting out crying or getting up from her desk, killing everyone in the room, and going home. She knew in her heart this was only for two hours, but it was still almost unbearable for her.

She felt a small buzzing in her pocket. She reached in and pulled out her Blackberry Z30 and read the text message:

I am on the bus right now and even though it is full, I feel so alone because you aren’t sitting next to me. I love you. Dstr.

Danger wiped the tears from her eyes and texted back:

I feel like my soul has been ripped out. Get on BBM I want to chat. Dngr.

  Danger

  Hey!
r />   Destruction

OMG I miss you. You doing ok sis?

  Danger

OMFG this sucks so much, I hate detention!

  Destruction

I know, right?! Some idiot tried sitting next to me and I punched him in the balls.

  Danger

  LOL omfg you rule.

  Destruction

I will be waiting by the door for you when you get home, with a BIG HUG!  

  Danger

  OMG YAY!!  

  Destruction

  So how is detention?

  Danger

   itsucks I miss you I’m still crying I hate this  

  Destruction

Be strong, it will be ok. Hey, remember San Diego? The warehouse?

  Danger

Omg yes, it sucked. I got separated from you during that shoot out with those Colombian drug guys.

  Destruction

Right, we were separated for a while, but what happened?

  Danger

  We found each other!

  Destruction

Exactly. We always find each other no matter what. No matter how bad the situation, no matter how chaotic and frenzied, we always find each other.

  Danger

I can’t be apart from you for long, you know that

  Destruction

I know, and I totally am awed by how under control you remain when we are separated, you are SO strong, I look at you and am just amazed. And now, for the next two days, you have to be stronger than ever, ok?

  Danger

I will, I will keep it together. I promise.

  Destruction

That’s my girl, my beautiful demon goddess, I love you so much.

  Danger

Do you miss when we are separated too?

  Destruction

Of course I do! I HATE being away from you, it hurts to even breathe without you next to me. Remember, you show more emotion than me, but inside it tears me up just as much as it does to you.

  Danger

And I have to do this again tomorrow!!! WAAH!

  Destruction

And then we have the weekend together, and we can snuggle, play video games, swim, anything you want, to make up for our time apart.

  Danger

  Yay!

  Destruction

Just got off the bus and am home.

  Danger

Make sure you feed Mr. Fluffywoogums!

  Destruction

I will. Oh we got a package from Serbia, I think it’s the daggers we ordered.

  Danger

About time. Did my stuff from Amazon arrive?

  Destruction

Yeah, this one is yours. What did you order now?

  Danger

  A Hello Kitty backpack!   

  Destruction

LOL. You are too much sis.

  After Detention

Danger practically ran out of detention. She wanted to get home as fast as possible to see her sister. She ran to her locker to grab her stuff and made her way to where the late busses picked the children up.

Standing outside, she noticed a bunch of older girls walking up to her. They were far older than any 8th grader, they looked almost college aged. Shaking her head, she mentally prepared herself.

  “Is that her?’

“Yeah that is the little cunt”

“Hey you stupid bitch, you fucking put my cousin Mandy in the hospital”

Danger cocked her head to one side.

“So? She probably would have had to gone eventually for an abortion or STD treatment, at least now she has experience with the doctors,” she stated flatly.

“What the fuck? You fucking little cunt, that isn’t funny. Do you know what I am going to do to you?”

  Danger sighed.

“I get the feeling you specifically are going to do something incredibly stupid. People like you, who look at someone like me and assume that I will be an easy target, are more cowards than anything else. That’s why you brought your two friends, because you can’t do anything on your own.”

“What the? Do you believe the nerve of this flat chested little whore! FUCK YOU!”

“Ok first off I am not flat chested, my bust is the right proportional size for a girl my age and build. Secondly, I don’t have all day, so either start something or leave me alone, because you are boring me to no end.”

  “Boring you? You fucking whore!!”

Mandy’s cousin lunged at Danger with every expectation of an easy beating.

Danger sidestepped the older girl and swept her legs around in a circle, tripping her and knocking her to the ground. In one fluid continuous motion she pivoted on her heels and rammed her left foot straight into the prone girl’s face, shattering her nose and knocking out her front teeth. She reached down and grabbed the girl by her arm and, without breaking a sweat, broke it over her knee. The older girl screamed in pain, spewing blood out of her mouth. Danger silently and methodically grabbed her other arm and snapped that as well. She dragged the battered body to the curb and, using the curb itself as a wedge, she stomped down on her legs, breaking them in two at the shins.

Danger smiled and turned to the older girl’s friends, who were frozen with fear.

“Now, as for you two, you have two choices: choice one, take this broken body of a whore to the hospital and escape with no injuries to yourselves. Or choice two, I tear your souls out. Now choose!” she said softly.

The three girls grabbed their now unconscious friend and carried her to a car and took off. Danger sighed and walked back to the bus loading area and waited to go home.

“I wanna go home NOW,” she mumbled, stomping her feet on the ground.

  Home

Danger ran off the bus and up the driveway to her home. There, as promised, Destruction was waiting. Danger threw her bag down and leapt into her sister’s arms, wrapping her legs around Destruction’s waist. Destruction grabbed onto Danger and spun her around in circles in rapturous joy.

  “I missed you!” Destruction said.

Danger was crying now, the tears flowing from her eyes

“I missed you so much, it was hell, living hell, just so lonely,” she cried as she buried her head against her sister.

Destruction began to kiss her sister’s face as she gently put her down.

“I know, it seemed like an eternity, but you are home now, and we are together again. We always find each other, always,” she reassured her.

Danger smiled as she breathed a sigh of relief.

They would always find each other.

  END PART ONE

  PART TWO

  I can’t breathe

  Without you near me

  My heart can’t beat

  Without you around

  I can’t think

  I can’t reason

I just want to curl up in a ball

  And die

  I can’t live

  Unless you’re with me

  By my side

  For eternity

  We will always

  Find each other

  Through all the nightmares

  Through all the storms

  We will always

  Find each other

  Two old souls

  That exist as one

  And I can’t laugh

  Unless you’re smiling

  Unless you’re happy

  Unless you’re here

  And I can’t sleep

  Unless it’s with you

  With my arms

  Wrapped around you

  I can’t fight it

  Any longer

  I don’t care what

  People think anymore

  Because

  We will always

  Find each other

  Through all the nightmares

  Through all the storms

  We will always

  Find each other

  Two old souls

That exist as one

  As the sun sets

  On this daylight

  As the brightness

  Yields to midnight

  I stand before you

  Free of all my fear

  Free of all my doubt

  Because you’re here

  Let the world just

  Collapse around us

  Let it all turn

  To ash and dust

  Because

  We will always

  Find each other

  Through all the nightmares

  Through all the storms

  We will always

  Find each other

  Two old souls

  That exist as one

  14 years 9 months earlier.

It was foggy and it was dark. It was the kind of night that made one think that one was already dead and in hell. An obnoxious rain beat down, and the sweltering humid Central American weather just made it all worse.

The young woman laid beaten, battered, and bloody in a puddle in a back alley unseen, unnoticed, and unloved. She had made her way to her nation’s capital city to find work, as village life was nearly impossible to survive in. Like many young women who came to this hellhole of a city, she had visions of steady work in her eyes, and a handsome stranger in her heart.

  She found neither.

Instead, 20 minutes after she stepped off the bus, she was sped away by one of the many gangs that ran this Central American city, and beaten into unconsciousness. When she awoke, her new employer informed her in no uncertain terms that she was now his property, she would fuck for money, and any attempt to do otherwise would result not only in her death, but in the death of her family.

For the next year she did as she was told. Time and time again she was raped, beaten, and forced to do sexual acts that made her question her own sanity. As her handlers made money, she was kept in a dorm room with 15 other women, fed plantains and water, and treated like a piece of meat.

But she had one escape from this nightmarish existence: her faith. Every night, before she fell asleep (when she could sleep) she prayed. Every night she asked for forgiveness, and begged for her release from her nightmare.

Sometimes her handlers would get special requests from clients. Usually business people with special fetish desires or a taste for underage flesh. Men in the city for business, or the occasional expat English teacher, who could not satisfy their perversions at home.

  Such was her life.

God answers prayers in his own way, and sometimes his deliverance takes a form no one would expect.
