“Thank you, Roman. I’ll see you in about forty-five minutes.”
Chapter Six
Van disconnected the call with his second-in-command, Lucian Santori. He would question the captain of Sierra’s brother’s police unit and find out what he knew. Lucian had promised to have the information before sunrise, but the desire to give Sierra immediate closure pounded through Van’s brain. He would bet his fortune that the captain had purposely gone out of his way so that Van wouldn’t know about her case. He just needed to find out why, and who was ultimately responsible.
Sierra.
As soon as he thought her name, a streak of lust pulsed though him. His fangs began to lengthen as he imagined what her blood would taste like, how her pussy would grip his cock. She looked delectable in her white tube dress, and Van had watched her nipples tighten under the material. The size of her breasts would fit the palms of his large hands. He wanted to strip her naked and suck on her tight nipples, until she came apart in his arms. He wanted to know every minuscule detail about her, from what kind of soap she’d like to wash and soften her pretty skin, to what it’d be like to watch her sleeping in his arms.
Van’s thoughts shifted to Roman. He loved Roman, and theirs was a bond that would be forever unbreakable. But Sierra could complete them, forging a new tie in their connection. And he would never have been able to go along with this mating if Roman didn’t feel the same way he did.
Van watched as Roman entered the bedroom and walked to over to where he stood. Roman’s gaze dropped to his dick, and Van felt his partner’s lust pour through their link.
Roman’s gaze rose to his face. “What did you find out about Sierra’s parents?”
Van gritted his teeth as tension knotted his shoulders. “I spoke with Lucian. He’s going to study the criminal log and see if anything catches his eye. Then he’ll be paying a visit to the captain of Alex’s unit before sunrise. And since he doesn’t have to be at the Covenant until sundown, he’ll be on his way here with his findings. Where is Sierra?”
“She’s freshening up. I’ve ordered her food and some blood for us,” Roman replied, wrapping his arms around Van’s waist.
Roman tilted his head up and pressed his lips against Van’s. The kiss was filled with heat, dominance warring with gentleness. Van groaned, and his lover responded by rubbing his cock against his. The need to remove his clothes and fuck Roman pounded through Van’s blood, but he held off. The next time they made love, Sierra would be there with them. Whether it be by watching or joining them, she would at least share in their love and lust.

It was a little easier for Sierra to breathe after the revelation of her parents’ deaths to Roman and Van. With that came understanding that Sierra had been living her life in a bleak, shadowed existence, mechanically going through her days as if she were a robot. It was as if a weight had been lifted once she had exposed that part of her life to Roman and Van. And they had both been understanding about the way she’d been living.
She had to admit to being a little bit surprised at how Van and Roman had behaved. They’d listened carefully until she’d finished describing the way she felt. They hadn’t made a move on her, and that was what stunned her a little. She’d expected them to at least try. Instead, she’d been the one to make the first move toward Van. She had appreciated Van’s words of understanding and his promise to delve into the case of her parents’ murders. But it was something more than his assurance and honesty that had her leaning into him, pressing her lips against his.
Van’s tongue had tasted cool and spicy, and the lust she’d felt at that moment had flowed through her like a raging fire. She’d been surprised to feel such an attraction to him. And Roman was a part of that. It astonished her that she felt such an equal magnetism to him. They were opposites, and just as Van’s aggressiveness called to her, Roman’s steady understanding and gentleness pulled at her heart.
Sierra glanced around the room and walked over to the bed. The king-size bed was covered in black satin sheets; on top of it was a white satin robe, along with a matching thong. She stripped out of her clothes and headed to the bathroom. Along a shelf on the wall were bottles of bath salts. She poured some into the huge tub, turned on the water, and had it filled to the brim within minutes. She wrapped her long hair into a bun and stepped into the tub.
Sierra lay back, unusually content at the moment. It had been a long time since she had taken to relishing anything. The hot water seeped into her pores, relaxing her tired muscles, but Sierra still felt the nervousness deep in the pit of her stomach.
It was a bit nerve-wracking to have the exclusive attention of both men. But she had soaked in Roman’s touch. The way he’d concentrated on her breasts and lips had her wanting more of him. And Van’s assertive nature set her on fire, forcing her to acknowledge that a man knowing what he wanted, and displaying it in a sure but temperate way, turned her insides into a puddle of desire.
Roman had emphasized that this weekend didn’t have to include sex. But desire between the three of them had been building since they’d kidnapped her. She smiled at the thought. She probably would never have had the balls to go with them if Van hadn’t taken the decision out of her hands. And she didn’t regret it, because the weekend was awakening something in her. A desire to live her life.
But what would both men do when she mentioned that she was a virgin? Untouched by a man, but not by her own hand. She blushed, remembering the ways she’d bought herself to orgasm in the privacy of her bedroom. Until now, she had been satisfied with the pleasure she brought herself. But Roman and Van spiked her desire to a whole other level. Now she wanted to know what it would feel like to come for them, with them.
Sierra sighed. She was probably overthinking this anyway. Neither Van nor Roman had made a move on her since her arrival, and she suspected that had to do with giving her time to accept what was between them. Maybe it wouldn’t be a bad thing to make the first move again, to show them that she was ready for some hot threesome interaction.

Lucian opened the door and stalked into the police captain’s office without paying heed to the simpleton officer who was looming at his back.
Captain Tim Keller looked up from the papers he appeared to be studying and narrowed his eyes. “What the hell is going on here?”
“I need to speak with you,” Lucian replied, standing in front of the desk, gripping the files in his hand. His gut tightened at the man’s narrow, beady eyes. Lucian didn’t trust him. Never had. But without solid proof, he could never confront Van with his suspicions.
“Captain, I tried to stop ‑‑” the officer injected.
“Get out, and close the door behind you!” Captain Keller yelled. He waited a second until the door closed. “What the hell do you want, Lucian? And what gives you the right to barge into my office?”
“You should know by now, I do what pleases me, Keller. I have a few questions you will answer. Frank and Betty Rand. What the hell do you know about their murders?”
Keller’s lips twisted in rage as his hand tightened on the papers he held. “What are you talking about?”
“Let me refresh your memory,” Lucian replied, slamming a manila file folder down on the desk. “About three years ago, Frank and Betty were found murdered. Nine years before that, a boy by the name of Billy Masters was killed along with his parents. They were all found with their throats ripped out. You gave your word to their son, Alex, ‑‑ who, incidentally, happens to work for this precinct ‑‑ that the murderer would be found. Why the hell didn’t the Covenant know about these two cases? ”
Keller opened the file and bent his head. The photographs of the parents were horrendous in nature. Frank and Betty hadn’t just had their blood drained. Their throats had been ripped from their necks. Keller rose from his seat and faced Lucian.
Lucian studied everything about him ‑‑ the small, telltale signs, like the way his skin suddenly turned pasty at t
he sight of the photos, and the way he trembled while holding them ‑‑ and it all confirmed what he and Van had thought from the beginning. Keller was behind a cover-up. But Lucian needed to know why.
“We have a duty to the people of this country, Keller. You’ve failed that by concealing dire information. The Covenant should have known this from the beginning,” Lucian bit out as he stepped closer to Keller. “I’m not as nice as Van. And even he has been known to get the information he needs by any means. So imagine what I would do if you don’t give me what I want,” he stated, gripping Keller’s neck and lifting him off the floor from across the desk. The urge to spill the captain’s blood rushed through Lucian, but with an iron will, he forced it down. He clenched his teeth, anger heating his blood. “You will tell me what I need to know.”
“I can’t,” the police captain wheezed. “He’ll kill me.”
Lucian eased his grip slightly. “Do you think this is a game? I could crush your windpipe as we speak, and that would just be the beginning.”
All color left Keller’s face, and he dissolved into a sniveling idiot. “I had to cover it up. He approached me and threatened my family. I swear to God, Lucian. I don’t know who he was.”
“You better pray that Van believes you. Because if I have to return, you won’t be getting any second chances.” Lucian said the words, but he was a man who instilled fear in people just by sight alone. He was more than a vampire. Though he was Van’s right hand man, he was a law onto himself.
“It’s the truth. I swear!” Keller cried.
Lucian dropped the man. He landed in a crumpled heap behind his own desk, sniffling like a coward. He couldn’t outright kill the moron. That would upset Van. But the traitor deserved to bleed for what he’d done.
Chapter Seven
Sierra didn’t know what to expect when she stepped out of the bedroom, and that thought had her nerves on edge. She wanted to feel comfortable around Van and Roman, but the underlying sexual tension between them wasn’t something easily ignored. She walked into the living area. Roman was seated at the table, while Van stood on his feet. Her gaze drifted from Van’s face to his cock, pressed so rigidly against his pants. It seemed that his dick never went down, and the sight sent hot shivers throughout her body.
Roman rose to his feet and walked over to her, wrapping an arm around her waist. He hauled her against his chest, and she felt his dick throb against her stomach. Another wave of arousal shot through her as her nipples beaded tightly against the silk robe. Her cream soaked her thong, and Sierra tightened the muscles of her thighs, forcing herself to concentrate on anything but her throbbing clit. Pressed so tightly against him, she felt his muscular thighs, his washboard stomach, and every inch of him was pure power. Roman loomed over her for a second, his face tightening as if he was making a decision. He dropped a kiss on her cheek and steered her toward the table. “Come and eat. I took the liberty of ordering for you. I hope that’s fine.”
Oh, dear God, how she wished it was him who was eating her. Sierra nodded, too enthralled at the sensations heating her body to respond. The table was small and intimate, with a silver covered dish at the center, a wineglass placed in the middle, and two silver goblets placed at each end. Van pulled a chair out, and Sierra hurriedly took her seat.
“I ordered lemon chicken with garlic mashed potatoes. And to drink, I hope a bottle of Merlot will be okay?” Roman asked.
Sierra reached for her glass and took a sip of the wine. “That’s fine.”
She licked her lips before setting the glass down. Van sat on her right side and Roman on her left. Being so close to them now had her imagining what it would feel like to be in the middle, totally naked. She worried her bottom lip between her teeth. She was never going to get through dinner with her brain giving her such naughty thoughts.
Her gaze shifted to Van, who was watching her intently. She stared at him, flustered and nervous. He looked like he did in the limo, his body tight, waiting to pounce. She felt the need to crawl onto his lap and devour him slowly. Sierra pushed the thought down and concentrated on the late-night meal.
She dipped her fork into the mashed potatoes and brought it to her lips. “Tell me, how long have the two of you been in this relationship?”
Van pushed his chair closer to Sierra’s. “We’ve been together for a little over sixty years. We met when Roman applied for a mercenary position at the Covenant. We hit it off right away and have been together since.”
Sierra chewed her food and grabbed a sip of wine. “So it was love at first sight?”
“Yes, it was,” Van replied, sipping from the goblet.
She pushed her plate away. There was no way she was going to eat when she felt so hot and jittery. “I know that vampires do not sustain themselves with food, so the goblets must contain blood.”
Sierra struggled not to jump in surprise when Roman moved his chair close and his hand fell to her knee. The roughness against her flesh caused her clit to throb fiercely, and the heat of both bodies just inches from her own caused her heart to beat faster. It would be hard to fight the sexual hunger she was feeling. But did she really want to go that route? Giving in would provide all of them such pleasure, the likes of which she’d never known. She was absolutely positive about that.
“It is blood. Fantasy House provides the invited vampires with a blood bank from within.”
Sierra couldn’t help but blush as Roman watched her with a heated stare. His gaze shifted to her neck and the skin exposed by the robe. She licked her lips as Roman leaned in. Van pushed her hair to the side, allowing room for Roman to suck her neck. She should have been afraid, or at least thought that he would pierce her with his vampire teeth. Instead, Roman grabbed her flesh and began to suck. She closed her eyes, relishing the desire building from within as Van slipped his hand into her robe. He took her nipple between his fingertips, tugging leisurely, and it seemed as if a streak of fire were connected between her breasts and pussy. A cry tore from her throat. She shuddered in desperation, and just as she was about to whisper the words that would take their desire to another level, the front door of the penthouse slammed open. The metal door hit the wall with a loud thud.
“Get your fucking hands off my sister, now!”
Alex!
Van and Roman leapt to their feet, blocking the sight of her brother with their bodies. She rose from the chair, fearful of what would happen next as she struggled to tighten the ties on her robe.
“Raise your hands, vamps. And in case you’re thinking of trying anything, my bullets wouldn’t kill you, but you’ll be put through a hell of a lot of pain if a bullet pierced one of your eyes or throats. Go ahead and try something. Make my fucking day complete!”
Her heart pounded in fear, and she heard the genuine intent in Alex’s words. He would harm Van and Roman if he thought that she was in any danger.
She sidestepped Roman, but Van wrapped an arm around her waist, forcing her behind them. She struggled against Van’s hold. “Let me go. That’s my brother.” She gathered her strength and elbowed him in the waist. He grunted, loosened his hold, and she managed to twist away and run around him.
“You’re okay?”
“Yes,” she sputtered. “But…”
And then things suddenly got worse.
A man with dark, long hair appeared in the doorway, his face shielded by the shiny strands. Sierra thought for a second that he was hotel security, and maybe he could help bring calm to the scene. That was before a wicked dagger appeared in front of Alex’s neck.
“Hand over the gun,” the brooding man growled. “You might be able to get a fucking shot off, but before you even hit the ground, you’ll be dead.”
Chapter Eight
“No!” She screamed the word and jumped forward, right into the middle of the chaos. “You don’t move that knife one inch, or I swear to God I’ll tear your fucking head off!” She swallowed tightly against the knot in her throat. “This happens to be a really big misunderst
anding. So I’m going to say this loudly and clearly. Alex, I’m here with Van and Roman because I want to be. This is my decision, and though they persuaded me at first, I ultimately want to be here. So, for me, please put down your gun.”
She watched as Alex loosened his hold on the trigger and slowly lowered the weapon. She took a step forward and directed her next statement to the brooding man holding the lethal knife. “I will assume that you somehow work for Fantasy House as part of their security team. Please put away the knife. This has all been one major mistake. Van and Roman can vouch for that.”
“She’s right, Lucian,” Van stated, coming to her side. “This is all a mistake.”
Lucian slowly eased the knife away from Alex’s throat and took a step back.
Sierra couldn’t help the trembling that overtook her body. Her eyes stung with tears as she walked forward and wrapped her arms around her brother’s neck. She felt him return the hug, and she stayed that way for a few minutes, relishing the feel of home. She still didn’t know where she was headed with Roman and Van, and though she knew she cared for and wanted them, her brother was the only one she could depend on.
Alex eased her way from him. “Is it true, Sierra? You are here of your own free will?”
“Yes.”
“Then, can you tell me what the hell is going on here? Why didn’t you say that from the beginning?”
“I tried to. But this guy appeared out of nowhere,” Sierra replied, pointing to Lucian. “I didn’t want to make any sudden moves. I wasn’t going to take a chance with your life.”
Alex softened his gaze. “It’s okay, Sis. I’m not mad. I was more worried than anything else.”
