My fingers are trembling so hard I can hardly get the box open. Ryder holds it firm to help me and I pull the top back. Tears start to flow in streams down my cheeks. I look up at Ryder and his eyes are watery, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallows hard.
“So will you marry me, Lainie?”
“Don’t you know the answer to that?”
“What if I need you to tell me?”
“Then I’d say yes, Ryder Dunlop, I’d love to marry you and have your baby.”
He pulls me into his embrace, crushing me under his bear hug. He gets up and spins me around, just once. He reseats us on the couch and pulls me close in a more provocative manner. His hand cups my chin gently and firmly and his tongue plunges into my mouth. I throw one leg over his thighs and climb on top.
“Now, about my other package….”
