Soul-Mates Forever Page 24

by Vicki Green

He looks down at me, his cocky grin showing brightly. “Oh, my bad. Ah, fuck ‘em! We’re getting remarried anyway.” We both laugh, and I snuggle in deeper. He brushes my hair over my shoulder and starts playing with it. “I’m too tired to get us cleaned up, baby. We’ll just clean up extra hard in the morning and wash the sheets.” He kisses my forehead as I nod and yawn and I close my eyes, a huge smile on my face.

The next day is a whirlwind. Tuck and I did manage to clean each other rather well, twice, in our morning shower. Tuck went out to help the guys string lights up around the back deck and front porch then all over the backyard trees. A company came and pitched a huge tent in front of the pond for the dinner/reception and a smaller tent closer to the deck but off to the side for the ceremony. Both tents have lights outlining the outside with a beautiful dark lavender carpet that leads from the bottom of the deck steps to both entrances. The reception tent has lights all over inside and set up tables and a stage. Another company came and delivered glasses, dinner plate and silverware, cloth napkins and centerpieces. Then Mom and all the girls decorated the deck and backyard with silk flower arrangements, signs, and balloons all over the place as well as inside the house. I spent a fair time in the afternoon sitting in the bathtub with lilac salts and then Marcus gave me a manicure and pedicure. By the time I’m done I am shaved, plucked and polished and am sitting at the makeup table in my bedroom with Marcus doing his masterpiece.

“Girl, you’re gonna look more beautiful with that pregnant glow about you than ever before.” He’s brushing some powder on my cheeks when the door opens. Mom scurries over and pushes it until there’s only a crack open. Marcus’ head whips around and he frowns. “Tucker, dammit man, you can’t see the bride before the wedding, you idiot!”

In the mirror I see my beloved’s cocky smile as he tries to peek inside the room. “Hey, can’t knock a man for tryin’! Damn, it’s worse than Fort Knox! Ok, ok! I give… Just wanted to tell my beautiful and sexy woman that I love her and will see her soon. Love you, my beauty.” Mom practically shuts the door on his face and turns the lock. She leans her back against the door, crosses her arms and laughs.

“Gotta give him an ‘A’ for effort. He really loves you, sweetheart. You couldn’t have picked a better man,” she says smiling at me. The tears start to form in my eyes, and Marcus starts cussing at me, wiping them away with a Kleenex and yelling that I’m gonna ruin his perfect makeup masterpiece. My mom walks over, plucks out a few Kleenex and starts drying her eyes, and Lily gives me a hug and does the same thing.

“I’m so proud of my boy and so glad I’m back in his life again and yours. I have so much to be thankful for and so much time to make up for.” She hugs me again and kisses my cheek until Marcus shushes her away, and I start laughing.

“You ladies will have to leave if you keep making her cry and smudging her makeup,” he says over his shoulder as he touches up my face. “Seriously, what I have to put up with. Trying to make you perfect and you go and cry and start ruining my work.” My eyes travel to his face to see the tears streaming down, and I can’t help but tear up again. “Oh, Lordy woman. Now stop that! It’s almost time!” And that’s how it all begins.

  Epilogue

The backyard is all a glitter with lights strung from the trees and around the deck. The tent is all alit with lights trimming the outside of it and all inside making it all seem like a fairytale. I’m standing by the window in our bedroom, alone, with the drapes pulled over a bit so no one will see me. I watch as all of the town are milling around the yard, talking and laughing, while some are walking into the smaller tent. I don’t see my sexy man anywhere but see my mom and Lily running around and fixing last minute things. A clearing of a throat catches my attention so I let go of the drape and turn to find my dad standing there with a sweet smile gracing his face. “Are you ready, my dear? There is a very eager man waiting for you in the tent. He’s actually about to drive everyone crazy.” Laughing I slowly walk to my dad, put my arm through his and lean up to kiss his cheek.

“I thought you’d never ask,” I tell him laughing. He guides me out of the room and down the stairs. Lana runs over and hands me the most beautiful lilac with baby’s breath bouquet. “Oh, Lana. It’s beautiful” She smiles and I kiss her cheek then she moves in front of me. Allie approaches me and I pull my arm out of my dad’s and hug her. “Oh, baby girl. I’m so happy you’re here with me.” She peck’s my mouth with hers and rubs my back.

“Don’t you dare start crying or Marcus will have a cow!” She says laughing. I carefully wipe under my eyes with my thumb and Allie nods and smiles at me and then takes her place right in front of me and Dad. I look ahead and see Lana right in front of the back sliding doors, and Allie and then I look at Dad. Taking a deep breath I nod at him and face back forward.

The music out in the tent is faint but my heart starts racing when I hear it. Looking over at Dad I can see the proud look on his face as he winks and smiles at me. “Sure you want to go through with this,” he asks. I smack his shoulder and then put my arm through his again as I laugh. Lana opens the sliding door, turns her head, smiles at me and then turns back and walks through. Allie does the same but blows a kiss at me before she starts to walk, her little bulge of a tummy sticking out a little from her beautiful lavender dress. As we walk out onto the deck and stop I look around the yard. It’s all aglow with the lights in the trees and the outside of the tents making it not even seem like it’s nighttime. It’s beautiful. I can hear the talking and laughter coming from inside the ceremony tent as Dad leads me down the deck stairs and then the hush as we get closer to the entrance. We stop right inside and I look over at the left side to the front of the tent where Spike is sitting behind a keyboard, Granger is standing there with his guitar and Turner with his. My eyes move to my girls’ standing there smiling and looking at me and then I move over to see the guys but get no further than my man when my eyes meet his. My heart moves up into my throat when I look at him in his black tux, his trimmed beard with that cocky and sexy as fuck grin on his face, his left brow raised in that seductive look of his. Damn, I’m horny. Not now! I’m startled when the music starts playing the wedding march, I look at Dad winking at me and then I look back at my hot man. He motions with two fingers pointing at my eyes and then to him, telling me to keep looking at him as I walk. I don’t know why I’m so nervous. Hell, I just got married a week ago in front of a bunch of people I don’t know. Maybe that’s why. All my family and friends are here and more of the town gathered around. My flowers begin to shake a little as Dad and I start our walk. When we get almost to the front he turns me towards him and leans over and kisses my cheek.

“I couldn’t be more proud,” he whispers in my ear. He turns us back towards the minister and clears his throat. When the minister asks who gives this woman in holy matrimony my dad stands up straight and looks at me. “Her mother and I do.” He kisses me again, places my hand into Tucks and walks over to sit by Mom.

Tuck pulls me up beside him and we face the minister but his hand is squeezing mine, and I can’t help the waterworks that start in my eyes. We stand there patiently, well, impatiently for my sexy man, until the minister finishes talking to the crowd and then to us. Finally, we turn to face each other holding both hands and looking into each other’s eyes.

My beauty. I’m so thankful that you came into my life, just like the angel you are. You took my breath away as soon as my eyes fell on you and from there, there was no turning back. You still my beating heart with every glance you make my way and you stop my breath with every giggle and laughter that leaves your beautiful mouth but you fill my heart with your love and keep me breathing with your happiness. You’re full of life, spirit and love. You’re my soul-mate forever and ever, until I breathe no more.

I reach up and dab at my eyes with the white handkerchief that Mom had tucked in the sleeve of my dress and then placed my hand back into his. His dimpled smile catches my breath and gives me the courag
e to go on.

My sexy rocker. I never imagined that anyone would be able to break down the high walls I had built over my lifetime but the moment I saw you I knew you were the one. Your cocky ways, and your gorgeous dimpled smile blew me away. Your tender care, always being there for me and anyone else that needs you, showed me how big your heart was and what a loving person you are. You fill my heart with love and happiness. You’re my soul-mate forever and ever, until I breathe no more.

We put our rings back onto each of our ring fingers that we had taken off earlier and he brings my hand up to his mouth and kisses mine. We let go of one hand and turn to face the crowd as the minister announces us husband and wife, again, and everyone stands and cheers. I lean over, take my beauty into my arms and kiss her with all the passion and love that I feel inside me. Of course the bandmates start whooping. I laugh as Tuck raises our entwined hands up in the air and turns to give me his sexy, cocky ass smile.

We walk quickly down the aisle and straight to the house as everyone continues shouting their congratulations. Tuck leads me through the kitchen, up the stairs and into our bedroom, shutting the door with his foot and his mouth latches onto mine. We quickly get undressed, him helping me out of my dress, and make fast but passionate love as we know everyone will be waiting for us in the reception tent. God I love my sexy rocker!

  * * *

When Pax entered the tent my breath caught. How can she be more beautiful? I watched as her flowers shook a little and made sure she would keep her eyes on me as she walked down the aisle. I knew she would cry, that’s one thing I love about her, but she held it together better than I expected. I’m so proud of her. As she said her vows to me I even got teary eyed. I knew from the moment I first saw her, seems like so long ago, that I needed her, I loved her and I had to make her mine. I had no idea that would ever be possible. Me, a tattooed, long hair rocker and she, a beautiful and refined princess. At first, I thought, wow – what a bitch, I love her but then she turned out to be the sweetest, most loving girl I would ever knew. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life trying to make her happy and filled with love and desire. I never in my wildest dreams thought we would be here, together, and getting married for the second time.

I help Pax into her sexy than fuck lavender cocktail dress and hold her hand as she brings her foot up to slip on the last of her lavender high heels. Fuck me. I want to watch that dress slide off her luscious body to the floor and those fuck me heels pressing against my butt as I fuck her brains out. Stop! Damn brain and cock have a mind of their own. I press my mouth against hers. My tongue quickly invading her sweet tasting mouth, and I hear the loud moan that travels into mine. “Fuck, beauty. We’re never leaving this room. I forbid it.” I start to unzip the zipper in the back of her dress when she pushes against my chest with her small hands.

“Tuck! We have a ton of people in the tent waiting for us. We can’t!” She giggles as she looks into my eyes. Her face flushed with heat from the mad love making we just had. I zip her dress back up, sighing, and she runs over to the bathroom. “Oh, my God! Not only do I have sex hair but you can tell by my face that we just had sex. Shit!” I walk calmly into the bathroom walk up behind her, wrap my arms around her tiny waist and look at her in the mirror.

“Um, baby? We are married, ya know? Like twice now. You don’t think they don’t know what we’ve been doing up here?” I chuckle. She pulls open a drawer and starts reapplying makeup and then another drawer and starts brushing and fluffing her hair. I lean back against the wall behind her and just watch. “Beauty, you’re already beautiful. You can’t make beauty any better. Will you just come on?” She stops, hair brush in the air and smiles at me in the mirror. She turns, walks the two steps over and kisses the shit outta me. That’s my girl!

We walk hand in hand down the stairs and I lift her up in my arms when we touch down the floor. “Tucker!” She gasps and then starts laughing. “I can walk ya know?” I continue to carry her until we reach the deck and then gently set her down. Getting down on one knee I kiss her tummy. My eyes then moving up her gorgeous body until our eyes meet. Hers of course are wet with tears so I stand and kiss her luscious lips and take her hand in mine again. My fingers threading through hers, and I help her down the deck steps. We walk down the long lavender carpet to the big reception tent and as we get closer I can hear our band playing. We stop abruptly when Pax pulls on my hand and I turn to see her just a step behind me, frozen. “Let’s just leave and run away to our own haven. We could be in Missouri in about thirty minutes to the lush hotel you booked and just spend all night and morning together.”

I take a step towards her and move some of her long hair over her shoulder. “Baby, what’s wrong? Why do you want to leave? All your family and friends are in there waiting for you. Don’t you want to celebrate with them?” Her face softens and a small smile appears.

She looks down at her shoes. “I know this sounds stupid but if we go in there the time will move so fast and it’ll all be over.” She looks up at me, a lone tear finding its way down her beautiful face. “I don’t want it to be over.”

Moving a step toward her, I wrap my arms around her as hers move around my neck, her fingers immediately finding their place in my hair. “Baby, it’s time to celebrate and then move on with our lives. They will always be with us. They aren’t going anywhere. We’ll have all our friends over next weekend for a cookout if you want, ok?” Her eyes blink away the tears, a small smile on her lips and my heart breaks with the sad look on her face.

“Mom and Dad will be gone and I won’t have any family here anymore. Well, you know what I mean.” She sniffs and takes her hankie out of her little clutch purse and dabs at the bottom of her eyes. I lift her face up with my finger under her chin and give her my best cocky smile.

I rub my thumb over her cheek. “I get it, baby, I do and I’m sorry but at least they are in your life again and we’ll go there to see them anytime you want and I know they’ll come here a lot, especially when the baby comes.” She nods and sniffs again. Her body stiffens, standing up straight and square back her shoulders. Taking my hand she nods and smiles at me and mouths, ‘let’s do this’ and we head into the tent. People are sitting and talking or standing around drinking and laughing and then there’s silence. All heads turn our way and then the loudest noise I’ve ever heard, even louder than the crowd’s at the bar break out into cheering, yelling and clapping. Damn, I think I just went deaf. I lead my beauty passed the groups of people, most of them nodding, smiling and patting our arms and backs, and take her around the back of the long table up front, pull out her chair and push her in when she sits and then I take the chair next to her.

Finally everyone begins to sit down at the tables as waiters begin delivering food and drinks. The wedding party all sits at our table and there’s a ton of chatting and laughter throughout the room. I sit there and look around at everyone and think back at all the great times we’ve shared. The first time I did my first tattoo and Shane had to cover for me to correct it. I made such a mess outta that, poor guy. The time Paxton slammed that door into my face in her dressing room in L.A. I rub my nose thinking about that and can’t help but chuckle. Marcus running over to me and I thought he was gonna molest me right there in the middle of the studio. I laugh. Ok, that kinda scared me a little. I look down when I feel my loves soft hand on mine and then look back into her loving eyes. I remember the scared look on this strong and brave girl’s face when the man at the bar attacked her and then Darndage standing over her with the scalpel and I get chills through my bones. Leaning over I kiss her hard, take my beer, stand and walk over to where the band equipment is set up and take the mic in my hand.

“Uh, folks. Can I have your attention please?” Everyone turns their heads and some their chairs and look at me. “I won’t keep you long but I just have to say something.” I hear a little laughter as I look over at my love, who has a surprised look on her face and then back out into the room full of our family a
nd friends. “I just have to say ‘Thank you’ to everyone. I have so much to be grateful for and my heart is just so full of happiness right now that it feels like it’s gonna burst open. I just…” I look around to see my mom crying and then back at our table and all our friends and then stop on my girl. She’s crying but smiling so wide that it takes my breath away. “I just can’t tell you how much you all mean to me… To us and…” I look back at the smiling faces all around and sigh. “I just want to thank you all for sharing the most precious moments with us, for your love, your strength and most of all for your friendship. We are blessed to call you our family.” As I return the mic on the stand, Pax gets up and runs over to me and I grasp her tightly as we stand there in a warm embrace. I can hear the roar of all our friends and family and turn my head to see everyone is standing and clapping. It’s only a moment later when Pax and I are shoved as all of our friends from the wedding party are all around us and we’re in the middle of a big group hug. It just can’t get any better than this moment, at this exact time.

“Will it always be this way, sexy? Will we always feel like we do now? I don’t ever want anything we have right now, this minute, to change,” my beauty whispers in my ear.

“Baby, our feelings will never, ever change but our lives… Well, that will only get better and better. Trust me.” She hugs me even tighter, if that’s even possible, her full lips press against mine, and it’s like time stood still, in that exact moment.

Seven and a half months later….
