Lion About: A Zodiac Shifters Paranormal Romance: Virgo Page 5

by Catherine Banks

He watched me, silently, and once I finished chewing, he snapped off another piece and held it out. I took it from him with my mouth again, being sure my lips touched his fingertips.

“We're supposed to watch the movie,” he rumbled, his voice deeper than usual.

“Enjoying snacks is part of the joy of movie watching,” I said, opening my mouth.

He snapped another piece of chocolate off and slid it into my mouth, rubbing my bottom lip when I closed my mouth to chew.

I grabbed the chocolate from him, snapped a piece off and held it out for him. He leaned forward to take it, but I smiled and popped it into my mouth.

He laughed and leaned towards me, making me lay back on the love seat with him hovering over me.

“We can't watch the movie like this,” I whispered, popping another piece of chocolate into my mouth and chewing.

His gaze lowered to my lips, and he said, “How am I supposed to look at anything else when you're tempting me with that beautiful mouth?” Bending forward, he kissed my lips softly, then licked them. I opened my mouth to say something, but he took advantage of my open mouth to kiss me, sliding his tongue in, slowly and thoroughly consuming me.

He sat up onto his forearms. “Are you fully human?” he asked.

I shrugged. “Mostly. I have a few strange powers, but nothing that really matters.”

“What kind of powers?” he asked.

“I can see people's auras. I can also sense magic when it's being used,” I explained.

“You sure you're not a siren?” he asked, kissing the side of my mouth.

“Not a siren,” I said. “I'd rather enjoy my men for several days, instead of consuming their souls after one night in the sack.”

“Several days, huh?” he asked, kissing my neck. “Would that include time apart or just several days together in bed?”

“Are you opposed to either?” I asked, arching up into him when he bit my neck.

“No. Just wondering if I need to order food for delivery, or if we'll have time to go to a restaurant.”

“I didn't say I was planning this with you,” I said, smirking when he sat back to look at me.

“You don't want to spend days in bed with me?” he asked, one of his eyebrows raised in question.

“I haven't even been in your bed for one night. I don't know what I want yet,” I said. “I don't even know if this is a one-night stand or something else, yet. For all I know, we might never see each other again after tonight.”

“What do you want to do?” he asked, his lips moving to my ear where he nibbled my earlobes gently.

“What?” I asked, my brain short circuited as he found one of my favorite spots to be touched.

He nibbled a bit harder, making me moan and arch up into him.

“Do you want me, Miss Vincent?”

“Want you to what?” I asked.

He leaned up, smirking. “Milena, are you drunk?”

  “On endorphins,” I admitted.

“I'm asking if you want to sleep together?” he asked, looking me in the eyes.

  “Yes,” I said. “Very much.”

He smirked, smug satisfaction crossing his face, and then our mouths locked together in a mad, passion-induced tangle. He lifted me from the love seat, waiting until I wrapped my legs around his waist, before he walked out of the room and down the hallway. Our mouths never separated, our bodies locked together, and hands roaming wildly as he walked.

I don't know how we didn't stumble into anything, but we made it to his room without a single trip.

He pulled away and looked down at my shirt. “I'm really glad I bought you this outfit,” he growled.

“Don't rip it,” I begged, squirming out of his hold before he could grab my shirt. I knew shifters often forgot about their strength in the throes of passion, so I pulled the shirt off myself, unsnapped my bra, and slid my pants off.

Lucas watched it all, his eyes taking in everything in silence. Judging by the tent he was pitching in his sweatpants, he wasn't unaffected.

I hopped up onto the bed, pulling myself backwards until I was in the center of it. “Are you going to join me?” I asked.

“I rather enjoy this view,” he said, his cock jumping to punctuate the statement.

I slid my hand down my stomach and stopped just above my clit. “Are you going to watch?” I asked.

  He nodded.

I was so wet already, that it was difficult at first to get a good angle the way I preferred while playing with myself. As soon as I started, he growled, reached into his pants, and began to play with himself.

Holy monkey ears. He was so hot.

I stared at his muscles, flexed and on perfect display for me.

  “Off,” I requested.

He dropped his pants the next second, and my mouth watered. He wasn't huge, but he was big enough that I knew I would be more than satisfied. I crooked my finger at him, and he climbed onto the bed on his hands and knees, prowling towards me.

I was so close, and I wanted him before I climaxed.

“What do you want, Milena?” he asked, dropping a kiss on the inside of each of my thighs.

“Inside. I want you inside me,” I said, biting my lip.

He reached into his bedside table, grabbed a condom, and slid it on. “You sure?” he asked.

  I nodded. “Definitely.”

He slid into me, and I threw my head back, arching up into him at the same time. Damn! I had been right.

He growled, gripped my hips, and slowly withdrew. “You're so tight and wet.” He thrust forward, burying himself fully, and then slowly withdrew again.

After the fourth thrust, I couldn't hold it in anymore, screaming as I orgasmed. He growled louder, his grip on my hip bones tightening, then he thrust into me harder and faster. I withdrew my hand, that orgasm good and done, and enjoyed the orgasms he gave me.

My legs were quivering as he finished, and then let his head drop down, his forehead resting on my breast bone.

  “You alright?” he asked.

“Delighted,” I replied, a happy smile on my face as I floated in a euphoric state.

He withdrew, walked to what I assumed was the bathroom, then returned, lifting me with one arm while he threw back the covers, settled me against his side with my head on his chest, and then covered us with the blanket. He kissed my forehead, and I realized the rumbling wasn't growling, but purring. He was purring!

“Waffles,” I whispered as I fell asleep.

“What?” he asked, his mouth against my hair.

  “I want waffles for breakfast.”

  He chuckled. “Understood.”

He not only provided me breakfast in bed, which included waffles, but lunch and dinner in bed as well. The second morning, after breakfast, I unfortunately had to return home. He drove me to my house in his silver Aston Martin, and walked me to the door.

“I have a late meeting tomorrow,” he told me. “So, I won't be available.”

I tensed as I unlocked my front door. “Okay.”

He slid his arms around my waist, pulling me back into his chest, his lips pressing to my earlobe. “Can I see you Tuesday?” he asked.

“What did you have in mind?” I asked, leaning back against him fully, knowing he could support my weight easily.

“Dinner, and I can take you out for drinks with Walter afterwards.”

“Maybe,” I said, knowing damn well I was going to say yes.

He turned me around, pinned me against the door, and stopped with his lips millimeters away from mine. “What do I have to do to get you to say yes?” he asked. “I'm not above begging.”

“Does that mean this wasn't a one-night stand?” I asked.

He chuckled. “I hope it's not.”

“Kiss me, and I'll consider it,” I whispered.

He gripped the back of my neck and kissed me thoroughly. “Please, come to dinner with me Tuesday?”

  I nodded. “Okay. It's a date.”

  He
kissed my lips lightly, pulling back reluctantly. “I look forward to it.”

  “Me too,” I whispered.

He pulled away, walking to his car, but didn't get into it. I stepped inside, waved to him, and then shut the door. I looked back out my peephole, saw him smile, and climb into his car.

I leaned back against my door with a similar smile on my face.

  Chapter 6

“Tell me everything!" Michelle demanded as she swept into my office Monday afternoon and shut my door.

I chuckled. "What have you heard so far?"

"That millionaire Lucas Alzone picked you up from the office, Jamison stormed out looking flustered after confronting you guys, and then you were seen walking to dinner, arm in arm," she said.

"Well that's all true. I'm surprised that there isn't something crazier being spread," I admitted.

"What happened with Jamison?" she asked, sitting in one of the chairs in front of my desk.

"Nothing really. He reminded me that I couldn't share confidential information. I pointed out that he wouldn't be saying this to a male executive. He admitted I was right and apologized."

Her mouth dropped open. "He apologized?"

  I nodded.

"No wonder he looked mad," she said, then chuckled. "So, what else happened?"

"Lucas and I went on a dinner date," I said.

"Did you get lucky?" she asked, waggling her eyebrows.

  "Maybe," I said, smirking.

She screeched. "It was amazing, wasn't it? Give me details."

"You want the first night's details or the two days' worth?" I asked, smirking even more.

She screeched again. "Are you going to see him again?"

"Tomorrow," I said. "Enough about me. What were you up to?"

"I actually ended up going to Walter's to help him. He wasn't feeling well and there was a lot to do around his house, since his butler is on vacation this week."

"Is he feeling better?" I asked, worried about the older man.

"Yes. I forced him to get bedrest and that helped him," she said.

"He could really use someone like you as an assistant."

She sighed. "He already offered me the job."

"And? Why are you still here?" I asked, mouth open.

"I put in my notice this morning," she said with a smirk.

I squealed and smacked her arm. "Why didn't you lead with that?"

"You getting laid is much more important."

I laughed loudly. "Thanks, I think."

"Well, I'm rooting for you, girl. I've got to get to work and wrap up the few projects I have before I leave in two weeks," she said.

"I'm really happy for you," I told her.

She smiled. "I'm really happy for you, too."

I leaned back in my chair, feeling sad and alone for the first time in a while. I was happy for Michelle, but I was going to miss her storming into my office to talk to me. If things didn't work out with Lucas, I would be back to basics, alone and bored.

My desk phone rang. "This is Milena," I said as I answered.

  "What's wrong?" Lucas asked.

I tensed. "What? Why would something be wrong?"

"You sound sad," he commented. "Is it because a certain millionaire is busy tonight?"

I smirked. "No." Okay, maybe that was partially why I was sad.

"But you are sad?" he asked.

Shit. I hadn't thought that through.

"What are you wearing?" he asked, his voice dropping an octave.

"Jeans and a t-shirt," I replied, my voice dropping, too.

He chuckled, the sound husky. "Don't tease me, Miss Vincent."

"I wouldn't dream of it, Mr. Alonze," I replied, smirking as the loneliness and sadness slowly ebbed away.

Someone knocked on my door and I looked up, startled to find Lucas standing there on his cell phone. "You lied," he said, hanging up his phone. He had on a black suit that hugged his shoulders and waist in a sinfully good way. Thinking about what was beneath the suit and the way he could work my body, made my breath hitch a moment.

I stood, hanging up my phone. "What are you doing here?”

He shut the door behind him, prowled across the room, and kissed me deeply, pulling my body against his just long enough to warm me, before releasing me and stepping back. "I wanted to see you."

"Aren't you supposed to be busy?" I asked, leaning my hip against the side of my desk.

"Do you want me to leave?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

I shook my head and smiled. "Of course not. I'm just surprised you're here since you said you would be busy all day today."

He reached towards me, but someone knocked on my door, so he stepped back, and sat in the chair in front of my desk.

I opened the door, not surprised to find Jamison there. I stepped back into my office, opening the door all the way so he could come in.

"Lucas, I need to talk to you," Jamison said.

Lucas sighed, stood, and turned to face Jamison. "What about?"

Jamison glanced at me and then focused on Lucas again. "Give me five minutes."

Lucas growled softly and nodded. "Five minutes."

Jamison turned without a word to me and left.

Lucas paused by me, kissed my cheek, and said, "I'll be back. Don't leave, okay?"

"Okay," I agreed, watching him go with a sense of dread in my stomach. Was Jamison really going to get upset about Lucas coming here?

I sat at my desk and tried to work, but I was too distracted, thinking about Lucas and Jamison. Jamison hadn't even looked at me, which was what worried me the most.

  "Hey, beautiful," Lucas said.

I squealed and jerked back in my chair, almost making it fall over.

Lucas stood in front of my desk, smiling.

"You scared me," I gasped, smoothing my clothes down.

"I can see that, and I would say that I'm sorry, but that was incredibly entertaining to watch," he replied, a smug smile on his face.

"How'd it go?" I asked him, walking around the desk to stand next to him.

He smoothed my hair back and kissed my lips lightly. "Everything is fine. Were you worried?"

I nodded, deciding it was better to just be honest. Then I noticed my pencils had fallen on my desk, so I quickly fixed them.

"I have to go back to the office," he told me. "I wish I could stay or have dinner with you, but I've been gone longer than I should have."

"Thank you for coming to see me," I said, wishing he knew how much it really meant to me.

"Are we still on for tomorrow night?" he asked, brushing his thumb across my cheekbone.

"Yes," I said, leaning into his touch.

"You okay?" he asked, his brows furrowing.

  I sighed. "Yeah. I'm fine."

"Would a kiss help?" he asked, leaning closer.

"It sure wouldn't hurt," I said with a chuckle.

He slipped his arms around me, pulled me flush with his body, and kissed me deeply. When he finished, he stepped back and smiled. "I'll see you tomorrow, right?"

  I nodded. "Five o'clock?" I asked.

"Yes. You pick the restaurant this time.” He kissed my cheek and left.

I gathered my things and headed to my car, a smile on my face. I put the key in the door and started to turn it, when three unfamiliar demons stepped out of the shadows nearby and grabbed me.

"Let me go!" I screamed, thrashing against them.

"Shut her up," one of the demons growled.

I tried to get free and get my phone, but the demon holding me used magic to knock me out.

I woke up, handcuffed in a small room. The room had a bed and a single overhead light.

“Hey!” I screamed. “Let me out of here!” I tried to free myself from the bed, but they’d handcuffed me to the bedpost. Stupid, asshole demons!

I searched my pockets, but they were empty, and they hadn’t given me my purse.

Why had they taken me? I didn’t have much money and I wasn’t
anyone important.

Unless…this was about Lucas? Were they going to use me for ransom? I wouldn’t be able to look at Lucas the same if he had to pay some ridiculous amount of money for me.

“Let me out, assholes!” I screamed, jerking my arm as hard as I could, hoping I might break the bed.

“Shut up,” a demon said from the other side of the door.

“I’m hungry and I have to pee!” I told him.

  “Piss next to the bed.”

“No!” I screamed. “You’re a damn demon, so just take me to the bathroom. I’m not stupid enough to try to escape.”

The demon opened the door with a sigh. “I swear, if you try to run, I’ll break both your fucking legs.”

  “Noted,” I grumbled.

The demon undid my handcuff and led me down a white hallway that looked like it was part of a normal suburban house.

  “Where are we?” I asked.

  “Somewhere,” he replied.

  So helpful.

“Why did you kidnap me?” I asked.

  “Shut up,” he ordered me.

“Do you have food here?” I asked.

He pushed open a door and motioned me inside. “Relieve yourself and then come out.”

The bathroom had no windows and was rather small anyway. I closed and locked the door behind me, did my business and came back out. “Food?” I asked.

The demon growled. “Back to the room.”

I obeyed, following him to the room, and sat on the bed. He handcuffed me again, and I let out a huff.

“I’ll get your food,” he said. “So, just sit there and be quiet.”

I held my tongue, deciding it was better to be quiet and get food, than get the satisfaction of letting my tongue fly and starve.

What felt like hours later, the demon returned, tossed a banana, and a bread roll onto the bed beside me, then slammed the door shut again.

I ate the banana, deciding to hold onto the bread in case they didn’t come back soon.

I dozed a bit, and then the door opened, and a giant man walked in. He stood in the open doorway with a scowl on his face. He had jet black hair, tanned skin, and looked like he could bench press a house. He silently stared at me for a good minute.

“Pictures last longer,” I snapped, finally losing my cool.
