She shrugged, before taking a sip of her regular lemonade.

“You know how you try to get a read on a person, but can’t? I’ve been trying to get that on Banks, but I can’t. His actions seem sincere, but there’s something in the back on my mind that’s telling me not to fall for the show. We haven’t been able to talk. We haven’t been alone one on one. So, as of right now, there’s nothing,” she answered.

Listening to her, I nodded with understanding.

“Take yah time like you’re doing. I know what’s bothering you. You have never played second to anybody. Banks is known for being a duck and fuck playboy. You don’t want to get hurt. You’re bright, Neesha, that’s how yah ass has been able to survive all these years in LSC. Don’t let that hood knowledge go now. Work that shit like yah ass know how to,” I advised, causing her to laugh.

She knows I’m speaking the truth. Banks’ status is clouding her vision. Neesha can read a nigga’s life story from one look. She’ll get back on her A-game.

“You know what? I needed to hear that. Yes, I’ve been slipping. Wha-” she started but was interrupted.

“Preshus, can we finish our conversation before you rudely walked off?” Lester questioned, looking down at me.

“Hell no. Yah ass rude as fuck. You stood yo nosy ass over there eyeing us, then waited until we started talking to be an ass and interrupt us. Yo weak ass done been clockin’ my ass since I left you earlier. Get the fuck on. It ain’t shit you gotta say to me,” I spat, mugging his ass, standing to my feet.

I don’t like when muthafuckas stand over me. That’s a no fuckin’ go.

His face turned to a grimace as he eyed me.

“Damn, you still a nasty mouth bitch. All that shit wasn’t called for. I hate I agreed to come here. I should’ve known yo hoe ass hadn’t changed. Let me guess, you still shaking yo ass for dollars. Bitch, you ain’t shit,” he barked, drawing attention to us.

“Nawl, love, the only ain’t shit bitch over here is you. You wouldn’t be shit if yah funny looking ass was on toilet tissue. Limp dick, bastard. Pussified muthafucka, listened to the lies of his fake ass boys, and lost a good damn woman. They were jealous of you, dumb ass. I know that’s why you are tight and thinking you can restart some shit with me. You got something to prove. Well, sorry, Boo-Boo the fuckin’ fool, that won’t be happening in this life time.

See, they spoke one thing to yah stupid ass, while running up in the club, trying to wife any dancer who would speak to they asses. Them same bitches gave you slack bout being wit me. Them same bitches after I quit yo ass, came at me wit lies on how they could do me better, and you were cheating on me anyway. I ain’t never fucked them. Yo stupid ass listened tho, didn’t you? Get up outta my face fa’ you really piss me off,” I seethed.

He looked around, noticing we had the attention of a few people. He reached out, grabbing my arm. On instinct, I-

  WHAMP!

Slapped the punk outta his ass.

“Nigga, is you stupid? You know better. You done took an ass whuppin’ before. You need a repeat,” I snarled.

He raised his hand to backhand me.

“I know yo bitch ass not bout to do what it looks like yo ass is bout to do. My fuckin’ eyes gots to be deceiving me. They change colors, maybe that fucks wit my vision. You good, Stallion?”

A hush fell over the entire backyard, as Stone’s deep, menacing voice, carried. I can’t lie, my entire lower half clenched so tight, it felt like a menstrual cramp, I almost winced. Damn, he’s so…. I just don’t know. I can’t describe his ass.

“I’m fine. I’m wishing we were anywhere else, so I could shoot his bitch ass. I wouldn’t do that shit in my mama’s yard tho,” I answered, seriously, causing a smirk to form on his full lips.

“You carrying?” He asked, eyeing me.

“All this thickness, trust me, I’m carrying,” I answered.

His eyes lasered in on my breasts, as if he had x-ray vision.

“We’ll discuss that later,” he promised.

An unexpected shutter went through my body at his words.

“Banks, what you really think wrong wit this fuck nigga?” He questioned, nudging Lester.

That let me know he has a gun in his back.

“Shidd, his shorts so fucking tight, that could be anything. I think he got a damn yeast infection,” Banks answered, with his arms folded behind his back.

A sure fire sign he has knives on him.

“Hey, hey, hey, what’s going on over here? Hey, Neesha. How you doing, niecy? You’re looking well. Preshus, who’s this young man?” My mom spoke, walking up on us.

“Aye, stop being nosy. Preshus can handle things if need be. The food is ready. Let’s us pray,” Wilbur co-signed, speaking loudly.

Wilbur isn’t a small man. He carries his self with a level of respect. Most move out of his way when they see him coming. He’s only weak for my mother.

Praying commenced quickly. Amen’s were called out, then everyone started moving towards the different eating tables. Nobody misses my mama’s cooking.

“Neesha, get yo cripple ass up and feed me,” Banks taunted.

“I wish the hell I would,” she spat.

“Excuse you, young man,” my mama snapped, causing Banks to rear back some.

“Um, my bad,” he mumbled out, before his eyes landed on Stone.

They did some silent communication shit.

  “Ma, this is-” I began.

“Ryco Brickwood, I’m your daughter’s man.”

“The hell?” I hissed, which was ignored.

“We were suppose to be inviting you out to dinner to do the whole introduction. I apologize it’s under these circumstances that we are meeting. That’s my brother, DeaMonti Townsland, him and Neesha just began dating recently-”

“Ain’t this bout a bitch?” Neesha hissed, which was ignored.

Banks moved closer to her, throwing one arm over her shoulder.

“It’s an absolute pleasure meeting you. I can see where Stallion, I mean, Preshus, gets her beautiful looks from. You have blessed her,” Stone spoke, without taking a breath.

His eyes found mine. If he’s a mind reader, he’ll know I’m telling him to kiss my whole ass.

“Later,” he spoke, causing me to jump.

Nobody outside the four of us knows his ass is lying through his straight white teeth. My mother’s smile lit up her entire face, while Lester’s dumb ass looked sick.

“Well, it’s nice to meet you, Ryco, and, DeaMonti. Y’all seem like some nice gentlemen. Who’s the bullfrog who looks like he’s about to pass out?” Wilbur questioned, causing me and Neesha to holler.

“Oh, wow, nice to meet you, son. You too, DeaMonti. Did I say it right?”- Banks nodded- “Well, now I really feel bad for inviting yo no good ass, Lester. Had I known you disrespected my daughter, I would’ve ended your ass myself. You are not enough man for my baby. She looks to have found one that is. Leave my property, before I have Mr. Ryco to remove you,” she went in, flipping from nice to crazy real quick.

Stone and Banks looked on, enjoying the whole scene.

“I’m, I’m leaving, Mama Godwin. I, um, I won’t be back, ever again,” Lester stuttered out.

“Boy, what’s wrong with you?” Mama spat, eyeing him.

She’s poised to jump on his ass if he says the wrong thing. Stone should be taking notes. Her ass crazy.

“No, noth, nothing,” he stammered out, trying to ease away. Shit, he sounds like he’s about to cry.

“Lester, is it? We’ll get together real soon,” Stone spoke.

It came off as pleasant to those who don’t speak crazy. Lester tripped over his feet, getting away from us.

“Well, it’s so nice to meet y’all. Stone, Banks,”-their eyes widened, as Neesha and me hollered- “Un huh, next time you want to try and pull a fast one, try it on someone who doesn’t know shit. Word of advice, Stone, Preshus, or should I say, Stallion, doesn’t do good with disrespect
ful people. Trying to strong arm her will get you cut. I can tell you got a mouth on you, so if you love living, tame that shit. She’ll kill you, call me, and I’ll help her hide your body. You too, Banks. That’s my niece, my only niece. Get y’all’s minds right. Neesha, I’ll fix the plates, you rest, baby,” she let they asses know, then walked off like the bad woman that she is.

“Damn, Stone, yo ass done fucked up. That’s yo mama- in-law. She gangsta. I mean, she’s Betty Wright, Marvin Gay, throw grits in yo face era. She gonna fuck yo odd ass up,” Banks blurted out.

“Shut the fuck up. That’s her niece, nigga,” Stone spat.

Shaking my head, I went to step off. Stone reached out grabbing my arm.

“Where yo ass going?” He asked.

“You may wanna release my arm. I’m going to fix my plate. Unless some words comes outta yo mouth that resemble an apology fa’ the bullshit yo ass spat at me, I have nothing to say to yo ass. The hell wit what yo inconsiderate, lying ass, said to my mama,” I let his ass know.

He hit me with a smirk, before walking off with me. Hearing Neesha’s laughter, I decided to let it flow for now. Making my way to the table that has all the meat, I grabbed a plate, starting with the sausages and hamburgers.

“Aye, yo ass is rude. Ain’t you posed to fix yo man’s plate?” He questioned.

“If I had one I would. Now since I don’t, I ain’t,” I spat, continuing on with my business.

“I’mma break yo ass. You got too much fucking mouth,” he fussed.

Shrugging, I continued fixing my food. Without waiting for his ass, I moved back to the table that Neesha and I were at. I could hear Stone grumbling under his breath. Biting my lip to keep from laughing at his overgrown ass.

“How you feeling, Neesha?” I asked, placing my plate on the table.

“I’m great. Happy as hell that I came today. These niggas are a trip. Lester ran outta here with some of his bitch ass friends. I peeped game. Watch yah back,” she let me know.

Looking around the yard, no one looked out of place.

“What’s wrong?” Stone and Banks asked, at the same time.

“Nothing,” Neesha and I answered, at the same time.

  “Bullshit,” they spat.

“The fuck? Are y’all Siamese twins or something? Ain’t shit going on. Damn,” I snapped.

They both stared at me like they wanted to hit me.

“Neesha, I got Seaqual a plate too, and lil’ man you came in here with. Banks, how about you go get them?” My mama ordered.

Banks nodded, then, “Big man, lil’ man, bring y’all asses. It’s grub time, the fuck y’all thought?” He yelled.

  WHAMP!

“Ouch, shit,” he hissed, grabbing his chest.

“Watch yah damn mouth. Don’t be talking like that round them babies. Yah ass posed to be a damn role model. Act like it,” my mama fussed, walking off to intercept Seaqual and Lil’ D, so they could wash their hands.

“Damn, Stallion, yo mama strong as shit. She might got my mama beat,” he whined, taking a seat beside Neesha was too busy laughing to care if he’s hurt or not.

Situating my food on my plate the way that I like it.

“Good looking out, Auntie. Thank you,” Seaqual called out, upon walking up on the table.

“Thank you, for me too,” Lil’ D spoke, climbing in the chair beside me.

Mama slid their plates before them both. Without hesitation, they both began eating.

“Hol’ up, Lil’ D, wha’chu doing sitting by my woman?” Stone questioned.

Lil’ D stopped eating, pinning Stone with a look.

“She my shawty. She said so when she picked me up. She loves me,” he spat, causing Banks to holler.

“Aww, you so cute,” I cooed, leaning over, placing a kiss on his cheek, causing him to smile, then lick his tongue at Stone.

“I’m fuckin’ that lil’ nigga up,” Stone grumbled.

“Don’t hate the game, Unk. You just gotta catch up,” Lil’ D added, causing everyone to holler.

They started going back and forth, while eating. Seeing Stone relaxed and playing with Lil’ D, is showing him in a different light. The food is bussin’ as usual.

“Aye, can yo ass cook like yah mama?” Stone asked.

  “Yep,” was all I said.

“Damn, what the hell is wrong wit yo ass? You can’t hold a fucking conversation,” he spat.

Dropping my fork. He done fucked up. My ass was really enjoying my damn seven cheese mac and cheese.

“What have you said that constitutes a damn conversation? You didn’t ask, ‘Preshus, can you cook?’ ‘Preshus, did you cook anything today?’ No, yo ass bark out statements and shit. I don’t know what type of female yah ass is used to, but that ain’t me. I’m educated. You got to use your nouns, verbs, adverbs, periods, question marks, and exclamations points, when talking to me. Regroup, revisit, and try that shit again,” I let his ass know, staring in his eyes.

He was biting his lip while staring at me. Releasing his lip slowly as he leaned into me. I’m forcing myself not to blanch. I’m talking big shit, I gots to back the bitch up.

“It’s something bout yo mouth that makes my dick hard. I don’t know what it is yet, that’s why I been letting yo pretty ass slide wit the shit. Trust tho, the shit gots an expiration date, when that bitch hits, you will make up fo’ all yo fucking offenses. Now, we can try this whole talking shit and see where that bitch leads us. But know, I’m in yo fucking life. Some shit bout to change,” he ground out, without raising his voice.

Licking my lip, he followed the movement.

“You can say what you want, speak however the fuck you want. None of that won’t get yo ass an inch wit my ass, until you apologize fa’ judging me. Until then, fuck what you heard, I don’t bend fa’ no muthafucka,” I spat, dead ass serious.

His stare with from thoughtful to menacing.

“When I speaks the damn truth, I don’t apologize fa’ shit. You shake yo ass fa’ dollars. Even the pussy muthafucka said that shit. Cancel that shit. Yo ass won’t have to worry bout me apologizing foe’ judging yo ass, cuz you won’t be doing that shit no fuckin’ mo’. Now, anything else?” He growled, inching closer to me.

This nigga, I thought, while standing. Grabbing my plate and cup, I walked to the nearest trash can, throwing everything away.

“You done fucked up. It’s obvious between y’all two, y’all are judgmental as hell. Not one time did you think to ask her if she was the bartender, a manager, a cook, a waitress, anything other than a dancer. No, you didn’t. She even gave you a chance to correct the shit. You lucky she ain’t went in her bra,” I heard Neesha spit, before standing herself.

Mama got her wanna be DJ cousin playing some music. Muthafuckin’ judging me. What I did was my fuckin’ past. Even if it was my now, muthafuckas still don’t have the right to judge me, without asking me shit, without talking to me, fuck him.

There’s a few people dancing. Making my way to the middle of the dance floor. I started winding my hips as the song changed to Usher’s ‘Bad Girl’.

Sho’nuff, shawty! What it do, pimpin’? Oh boy.

What y’all know about, a supermodel? Fresh outta Elle magazine buy her own bottle.

Look, pimp juice, I need me one. Bad than a mutha. I hear you sayin ‘I need a bad girl’. You’re a bad girl.

Players, when you see me. Act like you know me. I keep a dollar worth of dimes. You know pimpin’ ain’t easy. For all my chicks in the club who knows how to cut a rug. If you’re a bad girl. Get at me bad girl.’

Winding my body while popping to the beat like my ass is getting paid for it. Beyoncé ain’t got nothing on me. I loved how they performed this song. When I saw it, I worked it into one of my routines. Messed a lot of nigga’s heads up when they saw my thick body move in ways that didn’t know was possible.

“Do that shit, Preshus!” Neesha yelled out.

“That’s my baby! Do it, Preshus! Tear it up!” My m
ama cheered.

Popping my hips once to the right, then to the left, while rolling my mid section. Oh, I’m doing the damn thing.

  “Aww, shit!”

I heard a familiar voice call out.

“You gonna do that shit, girl,” he called out again.

“Damn right, you doing it wit my ass,” I answered.

I didn’t see his nod, but I felt his hand grab my waist. We got in sync like trained dancers. We ended the routine the same way Usher and Beyoncé did it.

  BAM! BAM!

“Back the fuck up, muthafucka!” Stone growled.

“Is you crazy? That’s my fuckin’ stepbrother,” I yelled at his ass.

“Yo stepbrother? You a muthafuckin lie. You dance like you fuckin’ yo damn stepbrother?! The fuck is up wit that shit?!” He thundered, stepping in my face.

“I swear, on everything that’s holy, if you don’t get yo ignorant ass out my face, I’mma go back on my first rule, and shoot yo dumb ass. You don’t ask shit. The way I dance is just that the way I fuckin’ dance. I ain’t fuckin’ no damn body, especially you. Weak muthafucka,” I seethed, before helping Andre up.

“You okay? Let’s go get you some ice. You have to excuse ignorant bastards, they know not what they fucking do. I got you though,” I coaxed, walking off with my arm around his waist.

  Stone

The fuck is going on wit my ass? Unleashed fury was flowing through my ass, as I watched Stallion help that sissified muthafucka into the house. I need to hit, or shoot, some damn body. I ain’t never throw paws over no female. But here my ass is, tagging this negro.

  “Stone.”

Snapping my head in the direction of the person whose calling my name. Shit, I’m hating I did. Her ass looks scary as fuck.

“Niggah, you better take yo ass over there. Shit, yo ass just showed my black ass something. I hate Racks missed this shit. But then again, I recorded it, soooo,” Banks taunted.

Shaking my head while stepping towards Mama Godwin. A few males mugging my ass, if they know what the fuck, I know they’ll find some shit to do.

“Aye, everybody, there ain’t nothing else to see. Just a lil’ misunderstanding. Go back to having a good time.” Mama Godwin’s dude yelled out.
