  Character Attributes

  Strength

The physical power of a character is measured by Strength. It determines the damage of most physical attacks and how proficient a character is at resisting physical damage. High Strength allows the use of more powerful and dangerous weapons, while a character with low strength is considered frail and is more vulnerable to physical status effects.

Each point in Strength increases base HP by 2 and increases HP regeneration.

  Reflex

How skilled a character is at evading attacks and striking with accuracy is measured by Reflex. A Character with high Reflex will be more acrobatic and graceful when moving. Characters use Reflex when calculating the accuracy of attacks, especially with ranged and skill-based weapons. A character with low Reflex is considered to be slow and clumsy.

  Willpower

A character’s Willpower is a measure of their proficiency with and resistance to magical forces and many status effects. When using magic, higher scores in Willpower increase the power and duration of spells, as well as the probability of successfully applying secondary magical effects. High Willpower provides increased defense against magic attacks and effects. A character with low Willpower will be unable to use magic and will be far more vulnerable to such effects.

Each point in Willpower increases base MP by 1 and increases MP regeneration.

  Charisma

The Charisma attribute is an indicator of a character’s ability to engage in social situations and be resistant to a variety of non-combat effects. A high Charisma score will make a character appear more likable, and give them an advantage in conversation and personality challenges. High Charisma also grants defense against status effects such as Charmed, Seduced, and Deceived. A character with low Charisma will make a poor first impression and have difficulty improving relationships with other characters.

Between two characters, the one with higher Charisma is more likely to see the Traits and Attribute Scores of the other character.
