His dragon spoke up. Why can't we shift and join them in the lake? You can give our son to our mother. She'll watch him.
Wes glanced down at the little boy passed out against his shoulder. Not yet. The last few years have been busy, and I just want to spend time with our son.
David interrupted his conversation. "Trust me, I'd rather be over there with my mate, too. But we need to meet with the other two leaders from SkyTree and StrongFalls before the official ceremony begins."
Ah, yes. The alliance treaty that the four clans near Lake Tahoe had managed to form with ADDA's blessing.
Drool dribbled from his son's mouth, and Wes wiped it away. "I'll meet you there. I need to find my mom and hand over Ben first."
With a nod, the StoneRiver leader walked toward the raised platform about a hundred feet away.
Wes took one more second to kiss his son's cheek before looking over at Ashley, willing her to meet his gaze.
She must've felt it because she looked up with a grin before blowing a kiss. He mouthed, "I love you," and she did the same.
After a quick nod to let her know he needed to leave, Wes held his son close and went to find his mother. The sooner he got the stupid ceremony done, the sooner he could spend more time with his beautiful mate and son.
Not that he had much space to complain about. After all, from today, his clan would be mostly protected from the League, he'd have official allies, and not to mention stronger working ties with ADDA. Still, despite all that, Ashley and his son were his greatest treasures, ones he'd never take for granted as long as he lived.

I hope you enjoyed Wes and Ashley’s story! I hinted at it for two books and couldn’t wait to get them together. They’re both fun, strong, and just plain awesome.
Originally this series was planned to be three books. However, readers really like it so while writing this one, I decided to do at least three more. For the next three we’ll be focusing on another clan near Tahoe—StoneRiver. The fourth Tahoe book will be about Tasha and Brad (the bar owner and security guy from this story). After that, Ryan Ford’s sister, Tiffany, will be finding her mate with the leader of StoneRiver, David Lee (which you met in the epilogue). I can’t wait to get to started on them!
